Hi everyone. I’m 25f, 5’5 and weigh about 125lbs and I’ve been struggling with my health for the past few years. Since I was a teenager I’ve always had very low energy but in the past year it has gotten drastically worse to the point where I can barely leave the house as I’m too exhausted. Even if I’m stood up for a few minutes I begin to get dizzy and have to sit down. I even have to take breaks during showers just to sit down for a minute. I’ve been to a doctor many times and done blood tests and wore a heart monitor for 72 hours but the only thing they found was my thyroid is slightly under active and I was put on levothyroxine around three months ago but I haven’t noticed any changes. I try to go for short walks to build up a resistance but this hasn’t helped. I sleep about 10 hours a night and wake up stiff and sore and even more tired. I’ll give you a little symptom list. Any advice is appreciated

so, i have been working on some logistics as off recently for a novel. Plot, arcs etc. are all pretty well down and i want to focus some time on the whole Space travel aspect. For the few pages it will be important xD Might as well. In doing so, i stumbled upon an idea which probably has been used already but i couldn't find it. So if what i am about to describe sounds familiar, let us known ! A quick disclaimer, for the following i want the concept to be judged on its feasibility and hardness. If it doesn't work because of XYZ, let us know :D
Setup Fairly simple, in this post i attempted to describe an Interstellar Transport System, ITS for shot because everything needs an acronym. The super TLDR is that we use a load of mirrors to create a very strong beams, which we focus on a big ass mirror. Photon pressure will then speed the ship up to half the speed of light. I changed aspects and specifics about this system since duo to the feedback. But the idea is identical. "Big ass beams tossing giant frisbee around". Though, after the rework the entire system is ~8 times weaker. Because the ship´s weigh less now. Only 2,6 Million tons :D Regardless, this is what we have as a setup. a giant Stelaser, or SPA in world, which can produce really powerful focused beams.

We have, a funnel or Bell. What we do is actually fairly simple, notice how all the light rays kind of clump up at the throat ? Well, the idea is that if we send a really powerful beam into the funnel / thruster, the light will accumulate in a focal point.
Now, in Universe they don't have commercial fusion because the more research i do the more impossible Fusion seems. Impossible as in commercially viable in any capacity. Seriously watch this guys videos on the matter. It is depressing. Anyways, with a sufficiently powerful beam and the smallest focal point possible this funnel would essentially turn into a Inertial confinement fusion reactor. Right, we "just" shoot pallets into the focal point off hell, where they fuse, expanding rapidly and pushing themselves out of the funnel to provide thrust.

Now, one issue most people will quickly see is that this kind of ship by default can only fly away from its energy source. However, this should be easy to fix. Ish. What we can do is use mirrors inside the funnel which can basically change their Index of Refraction (So the mirrors would have to be dielectric with multiple layers) in such a way that all the energy inside the funnel gets concentrated into the light tunnel. This would require some pieces inside the Thruster to physically move as well to bounce light into the tunnel. Or at least some of it. The light tunnel can then increase the energy density more to enable Fusion on the other side as well. This way, the design could fly towards and away from its energy source. Which of course also means it could actually be useful. One downside is that such a ship would always have to roughly point at its energy source. Which will limit where it can go. But for a cargo ship that should be manageable.
Aside from the suspiciously strong mirrors (I checked it in the other post, in terms of numbers you can make mirrors that could survive the energy densities required. But idk how this would work with Fusion. Ideally you would want the Fusion to happen in a wavelength your mirrors are designed to reflect 99.999%. Which is doable with dielectrics if stupidly expensive), a bigger concern is Radiation.
This kind of Fusion is, for the lack of a better term, cancer juice. From what i can tell, there is a 0% chance you can get Aneutronic Fusion going with this, it just requires to much energy. So you would have to use Hydrogen which is going to by ugly. In the image you can not really see it but I surrounded the focal line / volume with about 10 meters of stuff. The force of the Fusion itself shouldn't be a problem, because this aint going at 10G. As far as i can tell, just because you have a certain limit in terms of Radiator capacity, you could not accelerate fast enough for the force of the pallets imploding to become an issue. You would die from radiation way before that.
My guess is ~0.1 - 0.3G maybe. But it really depends on the ship mass, exact energy density etc.
I left the biggest issue for last. The angle of incidence. The ship pictured here has a wide throat opening of 28 meters and a length of 200 meters. Dielectric mirrors work really well in a narrow range of incidence angles. Some products on the market rn have 99.95% at +-10 Degrees. Which is amazing ! But in our case the incidence range is somewhat wider. around the +-80 degrees. Which is really bad.
Now i hear you ask "But Erik, why do we want the light to bounce around, wouldn't it be smarter to only bounce once into a focal point ? And yes, it would be. Please find me a shape that does that xD I have yet to find a shape which would work. The issue is we need the fusion to happen inside the Funnel. If the focal point is outside the Thruster, the Fusion event wont transfer any momentum to the ship. Keep in mind, in this specific configuration the Pallets we shoot into the beam of death carry like no momentum compared to the ship. It is the fusion product expanding inside the thruster that pushes us.
In the worst case, this concept would have to bite the bullet and lower the energy density until dielectrics can get the job done at the required range. From my sim´s, each light ray on average bounces 23 times before getting the fuck out of there.
Overall, idk. To me it seems in terms of pure logic this should work. But so should Fusion reactors. And where are we with those ? So, i hope i have explained the idea well enough for people to judge weather or not this is feasible, even at low accelerations of say 0.05m/s². My prediction is that it either works or there is a critical flaw which would turn the ship into a supernova. Nothing in-between.

tl;dr Hello, everyone! So my husband(M 27) and I(F27) have been married for 2 years now and have a one and a half year old. My husband cheated on me before we were married and I broke up with him until he came back in two months and I “forgave” him. I suddenly got pregnant and he immediately was happy and told me about how i’m his number one priority now etc. After we had our baby, I still couldn’t get over the cheating so I would bring it up in fights, and he would tell me that I have one free slip to cheat back.. And I never did. However those words really hurt me and he also seemed less caring at the time. He’s a great father, but right now he works 10 hours a day and also has time to work out, but never has time for me. I was okay with that until he also started kind of neglecting me on the weekends. I say kind of because on the surface we do go out, and go to a cafe or smth with our child of course, but he never tries to engage in a conversation with me nor does he look happy or even just in a good mood. He never brings me flowers, or does anything anything to spend time just us too. Whenever I offer to watch a movie he finds a reason not to and prefers to stay in the other room and do his thing. The bedroom is also much drier now( once in 2-3 weeks) I feel like after the whole cheating situation he doesn’t feel attracted to me. I also think he loves our child but loves me only as the mother of our baby. I talked to him about it and at one point he agreed to what i was saying.. I still love him and want to spend quality time together or have a conversation, but there’s just no reciprocation. Whenever the conversation gets to a point where I say I can’t be in a marriage like this he promises he’ll change but it’s the same, and he gets angry if I bring it up again as if I’m just looking for something to poke at.. (his words) He just seems like his head is somewhere else, and his body is here. Whenever I brought up the conversation about love languages he just said I just want two things from you:1. To look well after our baby 2. Understand my work things. 😂😂😭 He isn’t really concerned that I’m leaving to my birth country with our baby soon for a few months, and didn’t even ask when we will be back.. Hi,
Recently I feel every part of my body has been sweating worse than normal, but I've noticed something. I have relatively cool showers in the morning or whenever I get up. I know we all love a warm shower, but being brothers in excessive sweating we all know it doesn't help because as soon as you get out of the shower you start sweating.
I've noticed that a few hours after I've had my shower, every part of my body except my armpits becomes dry, and I'm like wow this is what normal people feel like when their body doesn't decide to become the personified Niagara Falls. Do any of you lot have any ideas for cooling down quickly after a shower? Because I'll walk out of the door about 30 mins after having my shower, and I'll start sweating on my commute etc, but then about 3 hours after it kind of subsides.
My excessive sweating is everywhere, but it's in more noticeable areas like all through my hair, face and back. Every time I'm at work I get comments on my hair, hence I wear a baseball cap all the time at work or have to shove my head under a hand dryer. Then the anxiety of me sweating kicks in, creating more sweat, then which causes more anxiety and then the cycle just continues. So really just wanted to hear people's tips on rapidly cooling themselves down. Not looking for a miracle, only ripping out my sweat glands would do that, but just wanted to hear people's ideas, no matter how weird or quirky they are.

(1) INTRODUCTION Hello, my name is BPT; I am an avid DCS fan and a hobbyist programmer from Australia, and I am currently in the process of conceptualizing, coding and testing TWO shortlisted concepts that have advanced to the POCON (proof of concept) stage for implementation into DCS and finally released as a publicly available mod. Their development is concurrent with each other. The pair, once complete, would introduce two completely new, unrelated technology systems, and and in this case, one is to do with target acquisition and guidance unlike anything currently found in-game, and the other is looking to implement a hybrid seeker-head not currently modelled in DCS; both have been deemed conceptually possible based on evaluations of what LUA can do and experimental POCONs exist for both projects.
(2) PURPOSE This effort is meant to have a three-pronged effect: to create 2 mods that I want to use myself, to explore and evaluate the possibilities and/or limitations the LUA API within DCS to see what is and isn't possible, and if it would be a good choice to use in other projects that haven't materialized beyond a concept yet, or don't exist in DCS. Finally, to try and create a small collaboration / mod team that shares the same vision and with a group vision of bringing conceptional/unmodeled systems, behavior and functionality not currently available through DCS or existing mods. Its nice when someone releases a new jet with a clickable, custom cockpit but they all tend to be the same thing: a usually-decent external model, complete with custom animations and sometimes new weapon models but under the surface, they are just a remodeled, reskinned F-15 with FC3 functionality, including the same simple fly model and the cockpit from the F-15. I want to start producing mods that could actually affect gameplay meta, create new options for mission designers, and I just love doing POCON; just proving something is possible is something I very much enjoy doing! (3) SUITABILITY EVALUATION This will be a thorough evaluation and whether pressing ahead using LUA to advance more of my theory-only concepts into working models that can be implemented into DCS, can be considered a feasible option. Hopefully revealed is whether or not a future project could be hindered by a LUA (or even DCS) limitation when already 10's (or even 100's) of hours have been invested into a project that is simply not possible to execute and destined to fail; its better to abandon these before you become too invested or waste too much time only to find out a technical limitation means its not something doable.
(3) VOLUNTEERING You don't need to be an "expert" to volunteer but being able to start, taxi, takeoff, fly and land the F-16 and/or FC3 aircraft (F-15 and Flanker, mostly) as well as use their weapons and avionics suite, with even just a basic level of competence would be the desired-but-not-required-minimum expectation of a volunteer interested in involvement with these projects. Testing involving helicopters has been deemed unnecessary at this point so don't worry if you cant fly/don't own one.
Everyone is welcome to volunteer but failing to meet this basic criterion could impede on your ability to be a suitable and useful test pilot, or fill another role if required (WSO, RIO, etc.) as the knowledge on how to pilot would be preferred, even in those roles. Age doesn't matter as long as you act in a mature fashion during testing. Any other project-specific criteria desired/required by interested parties will be listed in the individual project comment thread.

• Also, for anyone interested in these projects but are unable/unwilling to participate during in-game tests, if you would regard yourself as highly knowledgeable about DCS and still wish to have involvement, your knowledge base, being technical or trivia, would be of great assistance to development too:

1. technical perspective (like understanding LUA or just general DCS modding; 'tinkerers' absolutely apply as even if your strength isn't writing new code, you can definitely contribute to any troubleshooting/debugging efforts - even if you no longer play the game!)
2. excellent DCS-trivia-type knowledge (exactly which weapons are available on what plane by default, who has the 'strongest' radar, which aircraft can exceed Mach 2, etc etc. - you know the game like the back of your hand but you might not have any experience in coding or mod development)

Please express your interest as having a pool of players to make up the "think-tank" of a project and also to fulfill the role of test pilots, both groups required for operating, interacting with, testing, analyzing results and to be able to optimally tweak the systems based on code behavior and in-game feedback. Both projects are still within a brain-storming and input-friendly phase, both with working prototypes/POCONs for each project so now is a good time to join the teams for these projects; you will have a large amount of noted input in how you would like the development process to operate and progress. I'm currently writing up briefs for the two projects and they will be posted in this thread, as two separate comments so please reply to the comment thread relevant to the project you are interested in volunteering for - this isn't a hard and fast rule; I'm not going to ban you from participation if you express interest in the wrong place (hell, even PM me if you want!) but it does make it a lot easier for me to organize and manage.
(4) PROJECTS These two concepts - 'RAADAR-ECHO' and 'RADIIHOTRADGS' - were selected to advance to a project stage because they will rely heavily on DCS's integration of LUA - and a wide range of its capabilities - in order to achieve desired functionality and behavior as intended, so completion of these projects should offer significant insight into what LUA in DCS can do. Without the utilization of LUA, neither of the two concepts mentioned here could be modeled in an even remotely possible sense; the required functionality is just too advanced and cant be done unless LUA is involved, and the decision to to see if DCS's implementation of LUA could lend highly advanced behaviofunctionality to "new technology" mods was done for for three key reasons:
Firstly, to take advantage of a native DCS "system" when compared to other approaches, is the most likely to be workable on a practical level and be able to produce the wanted results in something like an advanced weapon system mod, as opposed to using another "system", like the Mission Editor and trying to create the same thing using triggers: eventually you hit a technical limitation and your idea becomes "technically impossible"; hopefully the limitations of the LUA engine in DCS don't preclude these two concepts from materializing into functional, publicly-available mods. The use of LUA is what provides access to enhanced capabilities and functionality to try and (re)create these systems and turn a proof of concept into a reality.
Secondly, these two projects were shortlisted from a long list of ideas on the backburner which are held back by standard technical limitations and would require a script-based system to function; these two concepts have been selected to advance to trial projects: they were chosen because they shouldn't be *too* difficult to create, and across the two projects, there's a wide enough use of different functions used in different contexts to be able to gauge the practicality and suitability of using LUA to create more of the complex and novel systems I have planned in a conceptual stage, whilst producing two high quality mods that I believe people would want to use.
Lastly, if I want to (re)create or emulate something complicated enough that it cant be achieved in the Mission Editor or the like, LUA would be the only option I try as I don't want any mods created by me to require anything that isn't common to a standard DCS mod: if any third-party addons/packages/HUDs/exe's are deemed to be required/necessary to bring a concept to life, it will be shelved in favor of one that doesn't, and until a new solution requiring nothing but DCS makes itself known.
(5) TO CONCLUDE It may be upto 24-hours before I am able to post the project briefs, as even though I am extremely busy for the next 20 or so hours then I'll have a good amount of downtime so based on that, I'm not going to rush writing them to keep them clear and concise to anyone who's interested in what they've read about here. Feel free to express your interest below as it gives me a good idea for numbers; please mention in your expression of interest if you have FC3 / F-16 or not - cheers!

As someone who loved evil dead as my favorite franchise... evil dead rise was absolute trash. Evil dead 2013 was infinitely better and it wasn't because of the cabin. The apartment was a good idea but they just made all the wrong choices for fight scenes and the logic went out the window for the survival aspects and character choices. The aunt was also an awful final girl. How are they at the top of the apartments and none of the fake deadites go out the window. They had the lead up to break into the neighbors room to get to the stairs but since that didn't work they try the elevator again? But for some reason it works and they do what I think was a nod to the shining. The fake deadites also fuse together now like in the movie "the thing" which was more annoying than creative. Deadites are stronger in numbers and more entertaining with their chatter. All the deadites in the hallway just sit there and do nothing as the two survivors escape. Idk if it was to be more "woke" but killing off all the guys in the hallway as if their lives meant nothing was just a joke. Those guys didn't even get a chance which would have made the movie better if they could've at the very least been let into the main apartment for a couple scenes. They tried to pay homage by adding in previously used deadite lines and techniques but it just made it cheesy. I could've told the whole story without watching the full thing because the lack of creativity. Somehow it tried to be more of a reboot than the 2013 reboot. The new book of the dead looks like the textbook from Harry Potter but more simplified. I think this just proves that raimi is the only one that can give us top tier evil dead content and the guy that directed evil dead 2013 can supply us with decent alternatives . But this lee Cronin guy should never touch the series again. Ik a lot of people enjoyed this movie either because you haven't watched the first trilogy or you just enjoy blood and gore which is fine. But if I was Rate the movie it would be rated in two ways. As a horror movie which I'd give it a 6.5/10 and as a evil dead movie which it would get a 2 out of 10 at best. The lady that played ellie the mother would've been a kickers finalgirl and it's too bad they made her the deadite. Seems like a great actress with strong survivor vibes. I don't think the cast was strong for this one. If they end up making a trilogy of these reboots I sincerely hope either Sam takes the reins because it's clear bruce is completely out of it for co producing and that lee Cronin just tries to compensate for the story with gore, or the guy that directed 2013. And for the love of God don't bring back the aunt and little girl from this movie. Just bring back Mia from 2013 and Bruce as ash. They'd be a good duo. I wish Joe pesci was still young so he could play the little mafia deadite from the games. As I said. Its fine if you enjoyed this movie. But from a major evil dead fan standpoint it couldn't be worse and I want my 10 dollars back 🤭🥴

I like to keep an eye on the job market. Where I am (Europe) UXR jobs have become far and in between since December 2022. I’ve been browsing Product Management job reqs and most are including stuff about “deeply understanding user needs”, “performing market research”, “identifying business opportunities”, “discovering and validating product ideas”, “partnering with customers to understand their pains and fears”, straight up “leading discovery” and so on. This appears to be happening mainly at small and mid size companies.
What’s your take on this trend?

I haven't played since I was a kid, so modern day yugioh is a little intimidating. My last deck was a scrappily put together Monarch deck, which was good for its time but now is clearly out of date. My friend has recently gotten VERY into modern yugioh and has all kinds of decks, and mine can't keep up. I can MAYBE win 1 duel in several hours of hanging out.
His more basic decks are along the lines of Sky strikers, crystal beasts, floowandereeze, etc. He has other decks that can annihilate those, but I'm looking for deck recommendations about that level that can compete. Thanks for any help.

Exactly what the title says.
I've been an avid beat saber player for years now. About two, to be exact. For most of this time, I've wanted to stream/create beat saber content, but never got around to getting the supplies got doing it.
My birthday is coming up, and I finally made the decision a few months ago that I would get a basic streaming setup with a greenscreen and such. I already have the headset, of course.
And then a month after that, I start having joint and nerve issues in my legs. Dislocations, numbness, tingling, pain, you name it. This continues to get worse. I see a doctor, the doctor puts me in a wheelchair because I'm falling frequently due to the aforementioned issues.
I can still play beat saber (with some modifications like no walls), but I'm not as good as I was before. I mean, I was never a crazy player, considering I'm visually impaired as well, but I could beat Rush E with no arrows (no arrows due to my visual impairment) and other maps of similar difficulty.
Do I still take the plunge and get the streaming stuff? I still want to do it, but I'm worried especially because this has impacted my skill that it'll cripple any chance of my success. Not that I was expecting to become huge or anything, but you know.

Hello friends, long story short:
I'm a single father, who took a shot at love again. It didn't work out and I made the choice to move out. Some buddies of mine are giving me a lot of shit for it lol, I figured I would ask the court of public opinion.
Not much of a story really, There was a queen ant bebopping along my floor, and I felt really bad for her cause we have some really good mossy marshy sort of grass in our yard and a thriving bush treeline, so I left the call and gathered her up on a piece of cardboard. Before I took her out of the house though, I had a few berries and I took those with me. So yeah, I relocated her into the treeline with her berries and that was that. I did scatter a few in the area nearby though so there is some easy forage starting out though.

This is fucked up. Before I can even enter maelstorm, hunters interdiction is costing me 50% of the hull. Then I can't even find mats needed for unlocks. Caustic generators seems to be indestructable and hull% is dropping like crazy, even when I engineered entire ship for hull. How the frick people can do something in those maelstorms? I'm so pisseed

Can I add a GFCI outlet from another GFCI outlet?
Looking for some guidance…I currently have a GFCI outlet in my side yard against the side of my house. Coming off that outlet is a run of conduit that goes underground to cross over my side yard (about 6ft). It comes out of the ground and runs up my fence wall to a non-GFCI outlet with a photocell.
My question is, can I change the non-GFCI outlet to a GFCI also?

My (36F) friend (36F) just went overseas to live with her second husband. This is her second time moving overseas to be with a partner.
She met her first husband in the US where we live, at work. He had to go back to Australia, his native country, so she married him quick and went back with him when they got everything sorted. She had no job lined up, nothing but ended up liking it there and making a life until things got rough between them.
She has told me since we were young she has no career goals. She works survival jobs (nannying, temp jobs, admin, etc) but she has no true career goals. She is open about just wanting to be taken care of. So when her and her first husband were on the rocks, she knew divorcing would force her back to the US .. and I sensed it would be a matter of time before she found someone new.
While her divorce was processing, she met a new guy from Europe who was on vacation in Australia. They fell in love. She had to come back to the US once the divorce went into effect because of her visa but then began planning trips with new guy and eventually they decided to marry.
He came here and married her 6 months ago and she just left for Europe.
He works at a financial brokerage company and got her a job there as a HR admin.
They obviously haven’t ever lived together before but are going head first into everything.
I’m a bit jealous and in awe of how if you truly want something, you can get it.
I don’t know if I would want to be taken care of but I wouldn’t mind it. I live alone, no kids, my rent is over $2000, I don’t feel like I am getting ahead at all….
But I’m also highly independent. I’m not a gold digger either. Iv had 3 long relationships and in each one, my partner was building their career so I was not with them for financial reasons.
I want true and pure love but I wouldn’t mind if the person helped me get ahead in my situation and I would also help them. My last bf and I took turns paying more on our rent and it helped a lot.
