Hello! I'm ultimately looking for a life partner, but I'm open to short term and friends. I'm not looking for long distance, so ideally someone within an hour or so of Salem, Massachusetts.
About me: I work in museums, directly with the art work. It's quite rewarding and challenging.
I have a background in studio art, and over the last couple years have gotten more into making art again. Currently I'm doing a lot of pottery, paper making, photography, 3D printing, furniture making, and electroforming. I've placed a moratorium on acquiring new hobbies!
I'm a sci-fi/fantasy fan, and enjoy almost everything that genre has to offer, including the various superhero cinematic universes. Never did get into reading comics or graphic novels, but not because I dislike them. Perhaps you can recommend some?
I used to play tabletop DnD, but have been without a group for years now. Something I'm looking to get back into.
I'm a reformed video gamer, I used to do all the MMORPGs, but as my time has shrunk and my interests have expanded, I tend to stick to single player games I can pick up and put down as the mood comes and goes.
I've also recently started training in Historic European Martial Arts, mostly focusing on longsword for now as I'm a total n00b. It's pretty fun though! I just need someone to figure out how to add a couple extra days to the week so I can fit in all my interests.
I also enjoy the outdoors, I'm not an extreme hiker, but I do enjoy moderate hikes. I also enjoy taking my kayak out on the Ipswich River. Both hiking and kayaking have led to some great nature photography! I enjoy biking as well, but my current personal max is probably 50 miles round-trip. I'm not doing centuries, and probably won't anytime soon!
My pets are super important to me, I have two dogs, a cat, and a bunch of tropical fish. My dogs are adorable, and also enjoy moderate hikes, and the dog park.
I think I've gotten confirmation that I'm funny/witty, as I'm leaving my current place of employment, for one significantly closer to home, and probably 80% of the comments in person or in writing mentioned my 'sense of humor' as one of the things that will be missed most. Also my skill and expertise, so I'm not 100% just a clown! 🙃
Politically, I'm independent, but lean heavily progressive. Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sort of politics.

Hello all. I’m (21F) posting on behalf of my mother (45F).
My mom has had severe anxiety problems for over a decade now. She’s been in therapy for over 5 years total and tried likely every anxiety medication you can list. Buspar, Effexor, Lexapro, Zoloft (among other major SSRIs), Cymbalta, Elavil, beta-blockers, MAOIs, and Xanax. The only one that has been effective for her anxiety was Xanax (dosage of half a 0.25mg tablet). But she didn’t like how Xanax left her very cloudy-brained at work. Buspar simply didn’t work at all and gave her sexual dysfunction (as did the SSRIs). Effexor was somewhat effective but resulted in severe insomniac symptoms, even with the assistance of sleeping meds. MAOIs weren’t helpful and massively irritated her IBS. And beta-blockers slowed her heart rate too much and caused palpitations, on top of not being very effective overall. If the medication is remotely effective, the side effects she gets are severe.
She has been diagnosed with GAD, as well as (treatment-resistant) major depressive disorder. Her depression is less interfering with her day-to-day life, but no antidepressant has helped. I live with her and I have personally seen her use all of these medications as instructed.
Therapy has helped some but not enough. Her anxiety interferes greatly with her relationships and work. She has panic attacks under what most would consider only moderate stress.
I tried to talk her into ketamine therapy or psilocybin therapy but she was adamantly against both.
Her own doctor isn’t even sure what to suggest anymore.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions? Thank you.

It was the most grueling time of his life.
Yet he emerged victorious.
For what seemed like eternity, Aerys Targaryen and his dragon Urrax had fended off his own daughter and her much larger charge. Barely.
Much of Aerys' own skin was charred, a volley of fire having been directed towards Urrax's spine and the network of ropes that Aerys tangled himself into rather than sporting a saddle. Within the mess of ropes was the charred corpse of his cat, Mittens, who Aerys had always known the name of but had never embraced, instead opting for Cannibal. Urrax himself was no worse for wear, clearly on his last breaths. Were it the Urrax of a year ago, his fragile flesh and malnourished frame surely would have collapsed under the strikes of the monstrous CloudChaser. Instead, Urrax had grown into a lean beast with a ravenous appetite, all by Aerys' design.
Yet there was one thing Urrax could never stomach, and that was the path Aerys had taken. With one son dead and one daughter now plummeting down below, both Aerys and Urrax let out a howl of anguished relief, but at least now it was over.
"We did it. We did it!"
Aerys' elation was pure and unbridled, not caring to speak in the old tongues that his dragon was familiar with, but nonetheless the message could be deciphered. They didn't have to fight anymore. The outcome he had foreseen where his children would rise against him was now thwarted. Opinions of others be damned, for as far as Aerys saw it, the realm could now know peace.
And so could he. He could raise his daughter. He could avoid politics from Dragonstone. He could be a father and do it right this time. He could....
Why was Aerea charging him now? Lightweaver couldn't. She wouldn't. Surely not. Both of their dragons had bonded together just as he and Aerea had. They couldn't harm another.
"No! No! We did it! We can stop now! We..."
Aerys heard noises come from Urrax he had never heard before. The usual silent intimidator was now releasing all his emotions with a flood of noise. Yelps, whimpers, and groans were all thrown at Lightweaver. Pleading.
But it was inevitable. They had been betrayed.
"Dakogon. Dakogon. Dakogon. Urrax, Dakogon. Dakogon, now! Now!"
Run.
Collapsing his wings into his torso, Urrax would plunge down away from the clouds. Building up speed, once again the wings would outstretch and they'd glide as fast as their momentum could take them. Yet the groans of betrayal were not alone. Pain was clear in Urrax's continued vocal expressions. Looking to his forever companion's wings, they had been torn asunder by their fight just moments ago. The holes throughout were constant, air whistling through his bleeding flesh, all from claw marks that Aerys knew came in retaliation from the killing blow to CloudChaser.
Their loves were closing in.
"We- We can't escape." Aerys had finally admitted, having turned to look at their pursuers but now was fully embraced into his life-long friend. "I.... I'm sorry. They will be on us soon. Do not hurt them. They... they don't need to feel that. We did. Not them."
Urrax tilted his wings to halt their retreat, the sudden stop in the gliding making it feel as though they hung in the hair. Twisting his lean and dying body, the pair of them would face their impending death.
Was this always the inevitable outcome? Aerys had to wonder. The consequences of his actions had to have caught up with him eventually, but when did they begin? Was it years into their rule, when he kept pressuring her to have children and to be a mother rather than his equal? Was it before then? Was it the day they were crowned, the curse of power that he had always wanted to avoid now dooming them to this? Was it their love, all this time, seemingly their one saving grace, instead a foreboding affliction that was now beyond cure?
Whatever it was, it was upon him now. As a result, it was upon Urrax. Seemingly his one sole supporter left. Was he truly all there was? Were the others just using him for their own gain? The likes of Caron and Lannister and, could it be, even Eurona? Could any of them have truly loved him for who he truly was? Was Aerea just another one of them? When had she made this decision to kill them? As he defended himself from his daughter? From his son? From their father?
Urrax, as best as he could, dodged every blow without any retaliation from himself. But he and Aerys could only avoid so much. As Aerys looked on as he engaged in one final dance with his wife, he began to loosen his tie to Urrax. Tears welled in his eyes as it was clear these would be his last moments alive. Would they be spent trying to avoid his wife's attacks? Would he try to fight back now?
No, he was tired of questions, of running, and of fighting.
"Urrax. You did everything you could, friend. This is not your fault. It is time to let go. My death will not be because of you. We can... rest now."
His friend registered the words, no matter how soft spoken they were. Pulling away from the fight for a brief moment, it looked as though he was bounding up for a devastating attack. But Aerys knew better. With one last embrace to his friend, Aerys would unbind himself from Urrax and look to Aerea for the final time.
"You're free now too, love. I... I thought I could bring us peace finally. There is no peace for us." There was no way for her to hear his words, but for once his actions were not for her. "Fire and Blood. That is what we get, not love. We cannot escape this. I hope you embrace it."
With one last tug of a rope, Aerys Targaryen was free of his restraints. Letting go of it all, of what he created and perhaps what he deserved, he would fall backwards to one last relief: death. As the fighting above him grew distant, he smiled, for he saw the final strike that Urrax had prepared for Lightweaver was not one at all. Instead it was an embrace of death of Urrax's own making. He had sent his entire frame to his cradle-mate and wrapped it around her. As he brought the embrace into her, her own claws dug into his heart, and so too did he begin to fall afterward.
As Aerys Targaryen fell to his death, he would not feel peace, nor did he feel anger. Instead he laughed. Through it all, he always could recognize the hilarity in the absurdity of the life he had lived and the actions he pursued and the pain he had endured. Life had taken much from him, but it had never taken that.
And so, Aerys Targaryen laughed, and then he died a demise of his own making.

I don’t often have random dreams it normally falls in one of 3ish themes…
The flying themes take place in my home city, when I was a child I knew I could Fly but couldn’t fully stay off the ground for too long so I’d take long jumps off of high places (buildings, scaffolding, trees) I would also notice that I was being watched by a man from afar in a suit and old fedora like hat when I focused on him in the dream I couldn’t see him.
In my teen years I managed to hover but my landing sucked I could never land where I intended to this was a huge hindrance due to the increased dream sighting of this foe who started to follow and chase me whenever I would control my dreams and landscapes, this would frustrate me in my waking life I’d spend a lot of time trying to figure out why flying was so difficult as well as who is this foe.
Late teens is where i mastered landing and was fully able to fly around the dreamscape as I pleased, the invisible foe became more frequent but evading him became easier especially when I remembered I was in control, that seemed to anger him the most.
I’m my early 20s I started smoking and my dreams slip away faster than I can remember but I do know I’m having trouble flying again and the foe has been showing up less frequently but the intent to catch me feels more intense when I wake up I feel intimidated by him and need a few minutes to process the dream fragments.
Does anyone else have an invisible foe? Having trouble flying? Or may have any advice ? Im going to cut down the smoking as best I can and see what I can grasp from those dreams.

Just wondering if anyone has had similar experiences to myself, because that would make me feel less crazy lol.
When I used to consume more sugar than I do now, I used to find the next day after a heavy sugar evening I would feel much better, as in more content.
Recently I have had a great diet which I’ve been pretty consistent with, but I’ve also quit drinking for the last couple of months (which has worked really well for me also). But last weekend was filled with plenty of socialising and because alcohol was off limits the fizzy drinks, sweeties and cakes were plentiful.
I have found since the binge (which wasn’t as bad as it could have been 😂) I have had a pretty bad dip in mood, I know other things could have affected it but the sugar thing seems the most obvious to me.
I’ve always felt the affect of sugar, the longer I go without much of it the better I feel. I just wonder if the tolerance level of bingeing also reduces to the point of a comedown!
This sort of stuff can always feel like it’s just “in your head” so I thought I’d reach out and see what others thought ☺️

I am playing a 3rd level path of the giant barbarian and we will be leveling up soon. Been trying to figure out the best course of action. We all got a free feat at level 1 and I took great weapon master. My stats are 20/16/20/13/16/14. I am a mountain dwarf. The plan is to go all the way to level 20 in the next year or 2. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also if you have any suggestion on mutliclassing I'd be happy to hear it.

So I'm thinking of picking up ubereats. I've been dashing since January of last year and in my area, it's pretty difficult to make a schedule without driving an hour away, and even then it's still a dice roll. I can easily make a schedule in small towns around here (almost no orders though. Trust me, I've tried.) So I was thinking of picking up ubereats for when I feel like making deliveries, but can't dash. So the big question of the post for the dashers that do other app deliveries a well is, how decent is the scheduling for ubereats? Is it pretty much the same as dashing, where it caters to how many people are scheduled & how busy the area is, or does it usually give decent time slots? I know that it probably fluctuates, but how exactly does it go?

I love Grace, she has the sexiness of Priya and the friendliness of Chelsea. The best of both worlds tbh. I noticed her color sheme is based on pink, and I love when characters have prominent styles and aesthetics because it gives players an insight.
It makes me so happy to see such a beautiful, joyful chacater is a woman of color. Who is getting love! But I'm worried because of fusebox's past of ruining woman of color, like Erikah, and the fandom's indirect (sometimes direct) dislike for poc - especially black women.
I already see her getting more clingy to Ozzy in the newest volume and all I get is flashbacks from s2 Truth and Dare. When Ozzy dances for MC, she immediately gets possessive. Almost like Hope when she tells MC to pick a guy. Except for Noah who has enough excitement for one day. Grace even says to MC later down that all the boys must be hoping to go on a date with her, except for Ozzy.
I hope she doesn't end up like Hope, I hope Ozzy doesn't end up like Noah. I'm a Ryan stan but I don't want to see Ozzy stans hating her. I don't want another poc's beauty and postive qualities downed because the fandom and said poc wants the same person.
Though, in the end, Grace does say she feels Ozzy may not be only thinking of her. This may mean she may become less clingy and jealous, and accepting of the fact, that this is Love Island.

I'm 16 and i suffer from autism. And i just have this strong jealousy and hatred against normal people. because i hate that they had a good fun childhood while mine was sad and depressing. They had friends, good school life, never had behavioral issues. everytime i see my normal peers pictures of them being with friends or their cousins riding rollercoasters or shit like that, it just makes me wanna cry, but due to me having fucking Autism i was never able to experience that, i had trouble in school due to behavior issues, i got kicked out of 2 or 3 schools when i was younger, i was always weird and did strange shit so other kids never really liked me. I never experienced sleepovers when i was little never even really had friends outside of school either, i mean i did have a friend in daycare and a best friend in my old neighborhood. But that only lasted for like 2 years until he moved and i became alone again. I did play with other kids but i wouldn't necessarily considered them a friend. I was mainly just in the house and never got out to socialize cause i was too weird. I just feel like my childhood was just taken away by autism and i know I'm not the only person who's had their childhood stripped away from them by this terrible Mental disease. I just hate hearing normal people talk about their childhood and the fun they had cause i never got to experience it.
