Hello dads!
First time dad here and we would really appreciate your help. Wwe are planning a vacation but I’m completely lost and struggling to find any information about traveling with a baby. Mostly my questions are about logistics and equipment.
  1. Flight. How would a 6 month old travel on a plane? In a lap, a car seat?
  2. What do we do about the stroller and are there strollers specifically made for travel? Would you recommend some brands and models?
  3. Car seat. How do we plan a transfer from an airport to a hotel? It’s either going to be a private shuttle or car rental. Do we need to travel with a car seat just to get to a resort and back to the airport?
  4. And how do we check-in all this equipment on a plane? Are there any extra charges for these? Is it considered regular luggage or some special type of luggage?
Any additional tips are welcome. Please shed some light on me and help me plan this vacation.

2023.06.04 21:21 KiKiKittyNinja Office Politics with a Kevin: Part 1

Greetings fellow beard scientists!
It's, uh… It's been a hot minute since I last posted a story here. Like, nearly a year. I've been trying to write up a story of some bronies that got banned from a comic store I used to volunteer at as well as some of the stories of my childhood of being raised by a legbeard, but… 2022 was not a kind year. In fact, if you like, starting with my next part, I can go into what happened to me last year since it does weirdly tie into how I was forced to work with the specimen of this series. After all, what is life if not a strange series of domino effects leading to greater outcomes that no one would have ever expected? My tale may be tragic, but Kevin's is tooth-grindingly dripping with schadenfreude.
So, let's fucking go!
Story 1: A Proto-Kevin Story 1, ironically, will not feature Kevin. Instead, it features a Proto-Kevin I will call Devin. I though of calling him Kemo, like Kevin Demo, but I was scared that ReddX would pronounce it like Chemo and though interacting with Devin sometimes felt as excruciating as slow dripping poisons directly into your veins– at least chemotherapy serves a purpose. Devin would prove to be a disaster of a person to such a caliber no one could predict, and has caused issues that I am still fixing nearly 3 months later.
Back in mid-January, I was working hard to train some of my coworkers to know how to do my job. At this point in time, I was the only buyer in my company and I had been since October. Even before my senior buyer moved onto greener pastures, I had been the one largely in charge of placing orders, chasing down items, and doing expedites, and anytime I had been out for more than 2 days the whole office would creep to a stop with people freaking out as to what to do without me. Now, I know that sounds like not-so-humble bragging, but when the top of the food chain comes halfway across the country to thank you personally for handling an issue with a military project that could have gone really badly had we not saved a paper trail showing that we were not to blame for the 4 month delay of a project that could have cost us a quarter million, you start to realize what sort of pressure you've willingly put yourself into. As such, I was making a step-by-step slideshow on how to place orders or customer supply orders since I was about to go out of town the following week to go on a week-long trip with my family. It was as I was explaining how to submit info into Purchase Advisor that the production manager, let's call her Fae, walks into my cubicle with a troubled expression.
"Hey Kitty. Do you have a moment?"
"Yeah. Just working on the slides like you asked. What's up?"
"Well…" Fae pursed her lips for a moment, looking a little frustrated, before finding her words. "You know how we've been looking for a new buyer ever since Sergeant left?"
"Yeah. I know you've had a lot of people coming in…"
"Well, the good news is that we found someone." I must have made a face, because Fae reluctantly followed up with, "Well, Caligula hired this new guy. I actually never got to meet him."
Ah, and there was the rub. Caligula is our location manager. Caligula had already been a little bit of a narcissist, but without Sergeant to openly defy him he had straight up gone into a power trip where he felt like he had to prove what a capable leader he was! Hell, on the day of the company Christmas Cookie exchange/ ugly sweater party, he made a female employee cry and then proceeded to passive-aggressively shame her in front of the whole team via a "mandatory group meeting" with a 30 minute speech that could be summarized into the phrase, "If you hate working here so much, then leave!" Three employees quit within 2 weeks of this incident. Stupid prizes, I suppose.
The reason for my concern had to do with the fact that Caligula was clearly trying to take some short-cuts in solving the issue of putting a 29 year old woman with a year of experience and a crumbling personal life in charge of keeping an entire company's finances. This shortcut included putting Fae in charge as a supervisor to my department, that way I was answering to someone, but that just meant yet another thing on Fae's plate. To top it off, he was going behind our backs when finding a new employee just as Fae and I were getting on the same page and learning to truly communicate, which showed he wasn't interested in knowing what purchasing needed since clearly Caligula, King of Cables, knew what was best.
I sighed a little, but gave Fae a small smile, "Well, hey! Maybe this is a good thing! I mean, it would have been nice if he asked for our input, but what can you do? Did he say anything about our new buyer?"
"All I really know is that he was a buyer for for about 15 years as a freelancer of sorts. And Devin is supposed to start the Monday after you come back from your vacation." She then gave a little bit of a playful smirk before saying, "Are you sure you need to go for a whole week?"
I gave a small snort before rolling my eyes and turning back towards my computer. "After all the bullshit this divorce has put me through, I need to get the hell out of town for a week. Besides, I don't think even Walt Disney himself could keep my mom from dragging me down to Florida at this point. I've just about finished this slide on how to use the Suggestion List to place your orders while I'm gone. I'll start the slide on how to manually input POs, and if I have time I'll also make one for Customer Supply parts. If I hear anything about that list you gave me, I'll let you know."
"Thanks, Kitty! Keep me posted." With that, Fae walked off, and the rest of the week proceeded more or less as usual.
Fast forward two weeks. I walked into the office, expecting to meet my new colleague. I was told he'd be in the cubicle next to mine, but it was distinctively empty. Weird, but whatever. It wasn't my place to worry about if someone was on time or not, so I shrugged it off and proceeded to mind my own business. Some odd twenty-something minutes later, the doorbell rang. I went to the door, and there stood who I would soon learn was Devin.
Devin was a scraggly and worn down individual. I'll short cut my description of him by saying this– you know how in Japanese dramas you tend to have that one office worker character who looks like he's working on a combined total of 5 hours of sleep this week and is only being kept alive via canned coffees and 3 packs of cigarettes a day, all while looking longingly to the stairs that lead to the roof? So picture this poor, barely kempt, husk of a man whose dreams died long before the blade of his razor blade dulled too much to tackle the whisper of whiskers on his upper lip, and put him into khakis and a sloppy dress shirt. He stood a little hunched over, almost like he was uncertain if he was in the right place. He gave a wry and nervous little smile before speaking up.
"Uh… I'm looking for… Ah, they're a manager? I think their name starts with an A?"
I felt my face scrunch up as I thought this over. Now, even if I am using altered names to protect the bearded, the innocent, and my job, we don't have any managers whose name starts with an A. Fae's real name could sound like it starts with an A if you missed the first letter, but I proceeded to press.
"Did you happen to speak to someone before you came over?"
"Yeah."
"Do you happen to know if it was a man or a woman you spoke to?"
He gave the human equivalent to the dial-up tone, and I smiled politely to him.
"Tell you what, why don't you come in, and I'll see if I can find either Fae or Caligu–"
"That's them!"
"Uh, Fae?"
"Maybe her, but Caligraphy hired me." I blinked for a moment. Caligula's irl name might be slightly unconventional spelled, but it's phonetic enough not to mess it up. This guy completely whiffed our boss's name. Still, he was new, and I suck at remembering names, so who am I to judge?
I returned the polite smile to my face. "Ah. So you're the new purchasing team member? Nice to meet you! I'm Kitty. Fae said you'd be next to me, so I'll show you to your cubicle so you can settle in, and then I'll go find her."
He did not return the greeting, nor did he give me his name.
I showed him to his desk before I scurried off, and I let Fae know that our newest team member was here. You'd think she'd be thrilled, but she furrowed her brow before checking her watch. "He only just came in? He said he'd be here at 7:30, and it's past 8:20." She stood from her desk in the warehouse and asked that I join her and the new guy in the meeting room so that we could all be introduced properly.
The first meeting itself was pretty uneventful. Besides Devin reiterating what we already knew--15 years of purchasing experience, his last job being with Major Airline Company, and being hire by Caligula– I also got his name about halfway through the meeting (his name was asked at the beginning, and it took Fae asking him at 3 separate points to, ya know, answer that basic question), learned he was married with a kid, that his wife had threatened to divorce him if they continued to both work at Major Airline Company, that Devin has a hard time separating from work and personal life, and how he's thankful to be back to working in an office. He asked about my commute time, and when I relayed that I have to drive 40 minutes just to get to the office, Devin scoffed and said, "I would never work that far off again. I'm so glad I work just 5 minutes down the road!"
Now, this got a look from Fae and I. The obvious is because this dude was nearly an hour late to work on his first day, despite being 5 minutes down the road. The other reason was because Fae knew this was a bit of a sore spot for me. I had been only 15 minutes away, but with me being mid-divorce and paying off some hefty medical bills… Well, there was a reason I was now stuck with an hour+ commute back and forth 5 days a week. This new dude obviously didn't know that though, and I winced up a smile to politely say, "Oh! That's pretty lucky for you. Hopefully I'll be in the same boat soon."
The rest of the meeting went uneventful, and as we all left the room, Fae did pull Devin aside to chide him for being so late before asking him to follow me to my desk to learn how we do things in our company as well as some of my tips and tricks to get our system to work since Devin had never worked with our OS before.
This pseudo training ended up being a different kind of uneventful. You see, Devin had brought a notepad and pen to learn how the system worked…. Both went completely unused. I'd check in with him to ask if he had any notes or questions and he just replied with, "No. This seems pretty basic," and, "This seems easy enough." Alrighty. I'll admit my job usually isn't too complicated, but he was definitely far more interested in babbling on about his life to the point he'd interrupt me in order to talk about his family. He reiterated that he and his wife had worked at Major Airline Company together for several years and how she threatened to divorce him if he didn't quit his job and seek employment elsewhere. He spoke a lot about his son while revealing nothing about his kid outside of general good feelings towards his child. I heard a lot about his life story, and he never once asked me any questions. Not about life. Not about work. He just wanted to talk about himself endlessly while saying nothing at all.
By the end of the day, Fae asked what I thought about Devin.
"He's friendly…. He likes to socialize."
"Did the training go well?"
"Um… hard to tell. He didn't take any notes or really ask any work related questions. After a while, I just ended up doing my usual work while he chatted in the background. He said he understood what was going on, but when I asked if he wanted to try any of the things I was showing him he said nah, I'm good and kept chatting."
Fae pressed her lips in concern and took note.
For the next few weeks, Devin would show up whenever he could. You might think I mean that in the sense that things would come up and he'd call out. No no. He'd roll into the office at whatever time he felt like. He was confirmed for a 7:30 start time, but there were many mornings I'd get to the office long before him and he'd have some half-assed excuse for being late. At one point, Caligula did a company meeting praising Devin, despite Devin having done literally nothing. In fact, as I was looking over some of our recent orders, I was noting a pattern. Any order placed with Devin were unconfirmed, prices were all over the place, he was sending requests to the wrong vendors (think ordering fans from a place that specializes in wires despite our suggestion list listing someone else).
Eventually, corporate decided to bring Devin into headquarters for a week's worth of training since they realized he was causing a lot of issues. Two days after coming back from his corporate training, he tried having me order a military-grade item for a government contract off of Amazon saying, "This part isn't available anywhere else, and Kitty is the only one with the authority to buy off of Amazon in the office!" He had been given the task of buying this 1 item and spent 4 hours trying to find this part. As he whined to Fae about the impossibility of finding this part, I managed to find, purchase, and confirm shipping from the vendor we had in the vendor's list. The look on Fae's face was almost on par with Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star.
Two days later, Fae pulled me into the meeting room to inform me that Devin was no longer a part of the team. This man, who had been brought in to be the head of my department, lasted 2 and a half weeks. In that time, he attempted to do some work… but mostly he just caused more issues than he solved. I was still cleaning up his mistakes 3 months after his departure. Fae also took this time to let me know that she was pushing for me to become the head of my department. I'd be lying if I didn't say this had me super excited. After nearly 4 months of managing the purchasing department alone, it'd be amazing to be paid a living wage that could turn my life around. Plus, I like validation. I'm not ashamed to admit sometimes a little "Good job kiddo!" is all it takes to string me along on whatever bullshit I've been dragged into. I beamed for the entire rest of the day, excited for the possibilities that lay ahead of me…
And that is when Kevin entered the arena with a company-wide email declaring that corporate decided he was "now in charge of handling purchasing."
Welp, I'll leave it there for now. I have a few other stories I want to write up, but I promise to get in some Office Kevin stories as soon as possible. I've only been dealing with him since February, but dear God the amount of insanity I've had to deal with has been wild. I also apologize if this lost steam towards the end. Current Kevin has been a drain on my mental energy, so it has taken me a lot longer than I'm proud to admit to get even this much out. In the meantime, be good to each other.

Newbie here, family is considering buying a hot tub. Went to a local, well reviewed dealer and spent a long time talking with the salesman. We told him we wanted 4-5 seater with a lounger, didn't need any extras, just wanted a good quality tub with good pressure for $8k-$10k. He showed us a couple Marquis and Bullfrog options that were all high side/outside our budget, then at the end showed us a Bullfrog 7XL that had been a previous custom order that fell through. It seemed great, though it had bells and whistles we didn't care about (LEDs, touchscreen control, etc). Salesman said because it was a previous order we would get a "special price" of $10,800, including delivery and set up, steps, cover and lift, and first set of chemicals.
So my questions are: Is this a good price? Searching this sub I see plenty of posts from the last two years much lower than this. I know inflation has hit everything but wasn't expecting the price to still be so high when I don't even get to pick out colors. What would be a reasonable target to negotiate down to? For my budget is the Bullfrog X7L a good direction to go? I mainly want something reliable for long term use. Any other tubs I should be considering instead? I appreciate any insights!

2023.06.04 20:43 Lycid Trip report: Spain honeymoon for 2 weeks in May 2023 (first time flying J)

This was my first "big boy" award redemption I've done and it couldn't have gone better. Before, I've booked Hyatt rooms overseas and gotten the companion pass so been doing award travel for a while, but this was the first time we flew in J and first time being able to realize a "bucket list" trip thanks to award travel.
Here was our itinerary (started in SFO):
Barcelona -> Granada -> Cordoba -> Seville -> Ronda -> Setenil de las Bodegas -> Malaga (only to fly out of).
Planning began last summer, and the flights were booked then. Since this was the first time we've ever flown in J and it was the honeymoon, I wanted to make sure we spent a little extra for a nicer European carrier, and I wanted to try two of them. So on our flight there we flew KLM into Barcelona via Schiphol, and for the flight out we flew Air France from Malaga via CDG. We opted against doing TAP or Ibera for two reasons despite them being more direct: the product/service is apparently not as nice, and for Iberia it would have required a positioning flight into LAX. Next time we do Spain though, I definitely would give them a shot.
Points and cost break down
We did a LOT of research on the best programs and flights to do this trip and ultimately landed on Flying Blue. For one, while they do have fees, they were not exorbitant. For two, their products were very well reviewed. I'll get more into our actual experience in the review section below. But also crucially, there just happened to be a point transfer bonus going on at the same time from Chase that boosted our points by 25%.

We only booked one hotel on points and it was in Barcelona. Overall, we found mom & pop run B&B's and AirBNB's to be a far better value than traditional hotels in most of Spain. But, Barcelona had some good options for some redemptions. Ultimately we decided on:

2023.06.04 20:39 Weirderal1337 US East Coast--full size passenger vans (rental vs. ownership)

TL;DR: is there a reason so few companies have full-size passenger vans for rental, especially "affordably"?
(I concede up front this is half a rant, half a serious question. If there is a specific better sub you think I should ask, please let me know!)
Full story: I drove a conversion van for the first 7 years of having my license, and served as the "dad" of my friend group. I sold the van in 2019, but we're finally about to have our first group (~10 people) vacation since then (rented a house in a beach town for four days in the summer), and while the house has room for 4+ vehicles, I thought it'd be cool to rent a 12 or 15 passenger van, pick everyone up that way, and do it all from one vehicle.
I am flabbergasted by the prices, and also the few companies offering it. Enterprise wants ~$1200. Budget wants ~$800. A "small business" rental company near me only does 1 week periods, but also said $1200 ("for all passenger vans, from 8 to 15 passenger sizes"). It'd be bonkers to pay ~1/3 of what we're paying to rent the house on the vehicle alone.
The small business added that they've had orders for new passenger vans with Ford and Chevy for over two years now, but still haven't received them. Is that your experience?
In summation, why would I rent a van for $1200 when I'm now starting to see more running late 90s/early '00s conversion vans on Facebook and Craigslist for $3k again, finally? Why are these rentals 3-5x the cost of renting a cargo van for the same period?

2023.06.04 20:16 keepingitanonymous98 My (33M) wedding is in 4 weeks and I'm dreading it

I've been in a relationship with my fiance (28F) for 3 years, engaged for 1 year.
The issues have been since getting engaged. We have been arguing once-twice a week. I have been feeling really swamped and doubting everything for the past 4 weeks since she went on a vacation with my mom to visit my extended family abroad (2nd generation immigrant) at the end of April. I'd made a decision that this isn't working and that I want to cancel the wedding. I told her this on Monday and the families got involved. Obviously the issues between us have been kept between ourselves - people that see us think we're the perfect couple - so naturally it came as a big shock to everyone.
I know she really wants this, part of me wants it too but since our engagement and I've gotten to know her properly the arguments have just been non-stop - mostly over small things. I'm finding her less and less interesting and she likewise to me.
We agreed to meet up today to discuss everything that is wrong in our relationship and why i came to this conclusion. Essentially I feel like we have grown apart and that I'm not comfortable being myself around her because she gets upset at the smallest things (such as me telling her my opinion on some stuff). Her issues have been that she doesn't feel that I put in the same effort that I did at the start of the relationship - i think both our grievances are valid. She told me that she knows she has to work on some things in her emotional stability herself as she's experienced traumas in past relationships. I think the main issue is that she sees me as a diamond. Her last 2 boyfriends were aggressive, cheats, controlling and it made her insecure and aggressive/defensive especially early on in our relationship. She appreciated me more for this reason and she seems to think I'm 1 in a million whereas I think most guys are probably like me and she just had bad luck in her past relationships. My previous relationship lasted 5 years and was very healthy - we grew apart and eventually she decided to break up with me. I've never done the breaking up.
We both left this meet-up feeling somewhat positive that things will work out but as soon as she walked out the door I just felt the same gloom again. I was guilty as hell on Monday saying what I said and seeing her in the state she's in did not help me I just feel like I'm weak but I don't know if my feelings are cold feet as I've never been married before or if i really need to put my foot down and leave her. On paper she's wonderful - hot, funny, adventurous, outgoing, good career etc. Our sex life is the best I've personally ever had. It's just the thought of marriage to her and no turning back is scaring me senseless.
Her dad called me and wants to meet up with me this week without her knowledge and I don't know what to say to him. I love her but I don't think we're right for each other but after our meeting and her coming to terms with what has made me unhappy and promising to change. I just don't know. It's a really shitty thing to say to someone 4 weeks before marriage and the guilt is killing me. Is this just normal cold feet about committing my life to someone or do I need to trust my gut?
TLDR: 4 weeks away from getting married. Told my partner on Monday that we shouldn't get married and this broke her. We agreed to meet and discuss both of our concerns and the outcome was that we can work on those things. I'm meeting her dad on Friday and my heart and gut is telling me to cancel the wedding but I don't know if this is cold feet and its a normal feeling before marriage or not. The guilt/uncertainty is killing me.

Bought house with hot tub, no idea what I'm doing, need advice.
I recently bought a house where the previous owner installed a new hot tub just last year. It's a Platinum Spas SR8141, which seems to translate to the Barcelona 2021 V2.
I've had an inground pool before, so I'm somewhat familiar with water testing, chemicals, filters, etc, but I have zero hot tub knowledge and have no idea what I'm doing. He left some generic hot tub manual, but it has no model-specific info and isn't much help.
The tub seems clean, but based on the overall messiness and disrepair of the house itself, I'm inclined to assume the tub is behind on maintenance. The first thing I want to do is drain, clean, and refill the tub.
Is there anything I should look out for, or anything I should do before draining the tub? Do you guys have any other general advice for a first time hot tub owner?

My home has a 50A circuit that was run to a porch for a hot tub, but the hot tub was never installed. There's a sub-panel with 50A breaker on the porch. I'm hoping to use this circuit for EV charging, but the garage is on the other side of the home and all levels are fully finished. Would an electrician be able to run this on the exterior and enter garage through an exterior wall?

Hi, I(19M) have a lot of friends but 5 of them are like my bro and sis to me doesn't matter what is going on we are there for each other, two of them are girls and one of them left the state after 10th bcz of her father's transfer, and before she left she got in a relationship with one of the boy from our school who 3 out of reaming 4 of us suggested her not to be in relationship with bcz we knew him for a long time (she joined the school later) he is the guy bcz of whom I lost many friends. all of us still kept calm and thought that they would break up after she left the state but that didn't happen she got more into him. this resulted in her talking less to the 3 of us, Especially me. Last week she got back to the city bcz of the holidays, and she invited us to meet her I went the next day bcz rest of them were on vacation, there was a small issue with me that I had lost my phone 2 days ago so I had told her to come out of the building and wait so the building security won't block me from entering, she said ok but didn't come for half an hour I was standing in the hot sun waiting for her with her 10th fav cholate I didn't care much at the stating bcz I have waited for her before but the old guards knew who I was so I would wait in the park but this time the new guard was looking at me as if I was there to hurt/irritate her. when she finally got down the lines that I heard just broke me down like nothing before. Me:- hello sis, where have u been I am waiting here for 30 min now her:- why are u here, I am here for *her BF's name* we were talking he is coming (she forgot that I was coming bcz she was on a call with her BF) I gave her the chocolate and decided to leave and she laughed at me for bringing her 10th fav chocolate (I fucking went off route 2km just to get her that) while all of this happened her BF came and I left, my leaving brought some kind of excitement to her face. I blocked the after this and got to know that her Best friend the second girl in the group blocked her too bcz the girl went to her house with her boyfriend despite knowing that she has strict parents and doesn't allow any guys to go home other than me and one of our other friend. Should I keep her blocked or unblock her?

2023.06.04 18:23 Aretosteles Worst car renting experience with sixt at the airport

Hi guys,
we are tourists from Germany. Wanted to rent a second car to explore your beautiful country. Just wanted to share what I think was a pretty bad experience with car rentals in this case with sixt car rental.
Usually, I rent a car at the spot (in Italy or Spain) this way we don‘t have to pay to car rental sites commission and the rental service providers give us some discounts,
When we arrived at the airport the lady quoted us a price of more than 400 euros (almost double what you could find on booking or rentalcars. When we asked why the price was so high she stated us a ridiculously high insurance rate. When we showed her the price on the website she told us that it is very likely going to be canceled anyway so we shouldn‘t bother with booking there.
Well, since we didn‘t want to get scammed by their high insurance rate we booked through booking and proceeded.
After booking through the website we showed the verification code at the counter. The guy there straight away told us we will have to wait for some hours until the car is ready (mind you: others that bought their expensive insurance could pick up the car straight away)
Now after we arrived after three hours once again at the airport the real fun began: she would not accept any of my credit cards. At that time I had three (two physical and one digital)
Each time there was a different reason (spoiler: All of them are working with credit limit/deposit of more than 2k euros)
first visa card with my name: declined since it‘s not a „real“ credit card. The card was fully functional with credit limit. Looking at the visa logo she tells me it‘s not a credit card since it has an iban.
second card: visa gold card. Used by me all the time without trouble. Again not a real credit card from her perspective since it has the visa type account written on it.
Third card mastercard. Not real because it‘s digital. At this point we waited more than three hours just to basically get told I used unreal credit cards my whole life in Germany.
Now, how are we supposed to cancel the booking reservation? Sixt at the airport cannot do anything since booking is an agency. So we contact booking support line. Shitty phone connection to a call center somewhere in India. More than an hour phoning. Booking policy: We need to rebook another car for the one to get canceled. Also they need to contact sixt to find out what happened.
Sixt employees refused to talk to booking employee to explain why they declined the credit card. They were too busy.
Luckily, I had a guy on the phone after the second try that was actually able to provide a full refund. But after we finished with all this a whole vacation day was wasted.
Tldr: Tried to rent a car, but scammy sixt center, really wants to sell their overpriced insurance. Result: vacation day wasted without renting a car:(

2023.06.04 18:14 Fuzzy_Boot800 Me(F) and Crazy/Creepy Male Roommate - Advice? (sorry very long but needed)

*sorry, trying to trim this down as best as I can rn*
Hey guys so I(F25) just sublet a room for until Sept. Its cheap room with perks (offstreet parking, 2 sets of free laundry, and close to the train station). My RM Andrew (M31) showed me the room and he was kinda weird but I thought he had autism or harmless. He explained the last person packed up and left on the 2nd day without a word because he thought the room would be furnished and it wasn't. That raised an alarm in my head but I needed to move from my slumlord situation I was in. I told my friends and they said even though thats weird, I should take it, renew and ignore them. A few hours later, he texted me that (Marvin/2nd RM) wants my room and already started moving in his stuff and will also renew. A said "the room has been open since March and M never cared for the room. Sorry for the inconvenience but I can look at the M's room If I'm still interested."
I was pissed but came back the next day and the room looked clean so I took it, still had some of his furniture laid down in places. After a month on the first day to bring my check and backpack, the now empty room had multiple large vomit/random stains on the carpeted floor. The furniture he left behind was on purpose was to cover it up so I wouldn't know. I told the LL and he wasn't aware and called M because he purposefully didn't tell the LL so they wouldn't clean it in advance. LL apologized and sent cleaners the next day but I had to sleepover my friends for 3 days until it dried. I never met M at all but he saw me walking in from outside to check the first room so he knows what I look like. He's gone on vacay but sent me a long crazy text (number given by A) saying welcome to our home and "hope I enjoy his room" and just nutty shit so I never responded.
On my first day (came here straight from after work), I hauled all of my stuff (5 hrs) that had to sit in the hallways, basement, and my car while the carpet dried out. A's room is set up in a way that he can track people in and out, his bed faces out towards the door and his door is always cracked open just enough to see you but you cant see him. I found out he was snooping through my things while I wasn't around. While I was moving things up 3 flights of stairs, He would crank up the oven, which made the house a sauna and refuse to open the windows - I cracked open a kitchen window when he was done to cool the place down but this pissed him off.
A has a personal freezer chest and takes over the whole communal fridge with multiple empty boxes of same frozen foods. I nicely asked Greg (23/M/3.RM) for fridge space because I don't want to be touch peoples things. G made me freezer space and kept dropping hints he has his fridge in his room and its A's stuff and to ask him to make space. I asked A later on and he agreed but he didn't move anything and placed his food on top of mine in the freezer after the fact. He always comes out of his room the exact times I do but I thought it was just a coincidence but it he didn't do the same with G. I cooked around 10 and when I had my food cooking - I go to start my laundry in the basement. I could hear A running from above into the kitchen nonstop to see what I'm cooking once and to check my timer to see how long until its done expecting to eat my food.
Feeling weirded out, I only made one serving for the night and stick to my mini fridge. While I was doing my laundry, I came up to check on something, I saw A was opening all of the windows in the house (the kitchen window was still open and it wasn't hot or smelled). He jumped and ran off like he got caught in the act. I figured he was pissed from the one window earlier and wanted to get back at me but was hoping I wouldn't see him doing it. Once my food was done, I cleaned everything asap and took it to my room. Once I got to my room, he ran back to the kitchen looking for leftovers. After I finished eating, I go to wash my dishes (avoided his) and left it on the table to pick it up later. As I walk up from the basement with my clothes, he locked me out of the house because he was pissed there wasn't any food for him and saw my clean dishes waiting on the table. I knocked on the door and he quickly ran down as if he was waiting for this interaction, staring at my feet and made no eye contact. I asked was it you that locked out me out? he was like oh hahaha yea I had no idea you were even down there and just to be safe, I locked it (I had a laundry bag holding the door open).
First thing next morning, I threw my blankets in the wash and went to home depot to change my doorknob to have a outside lock. When I came back to put things in the dryer, his laundry bag is left out in front of the washer as in a "get a move on" way. I put my stuff in the dryer and went to my room to switch the knobs. Ever since that morning, hes been camping in the living room (no tv) loudly belly-laughing and having full conversations to himself. Hes been camped in the living room so long, I figured hes been waiting for me to cook breakfast and intimidate me into giving him my food so I had to make lunch in my room (Ill have to cook everything in my room and IF I need the stove/oven, Ill have to not leave my food unattended).
Later I came down to wash my dishes and A kept his dishes from there before but added more on top of the sink hole for me as in a ""you forgot this and do it"" while hes right next to me in the living room. I washed my dishes and went back into my room. A few hrs, I had to leave for a friends party but as I was getting ready, he loudly started clashing dishes around, slamming the soap bottle on the table and loudly scrubbing in a "look at what your making me do" passive aggressive thing (G is not here).
Once I left for my friends bday party, I noticed A's car was gone. As soon as I returned and jiggled my keys in the door, I had my brother call me on speakerphone - A ran bolted it into his room (he was waiting for me because I left without him knowing and thought I had a guy with me). Once I got to my room and hung up, he noticed it was just a call and he left staring at me when I came out my room "casually whistling" and went downstairs.
This has been my third day here and hes extremely passive aggressive/crazy hoping I would be his maid/gf/cook. I told my family and friends but I don't think they truly get it since they're not physically here experiencing it. I'm not planning on renewing and hope to move out in Aug (just paid first and last) and renew somewhere else that's girls only. A is leaving in August for work but this will be a rough summer and I haven't even met M yet.
Any advice???

TLDR: (ME/F) moved in and crazy/passive aggressive ("A" - M) roommate have full conversations with himself, lashes out if he doesn't get to eat my food or if I don't wash his dishes. Last person stayed only two days and left without a word. Other crazy roommate took this room but showed me another room but they hid the vomit stains with strategically placed furniture during showing (this roommate is gone on vacation). Always keeps his door cracked open enough to see you but not see him. Tracks my coming and goings and will wait by the window to see when I'm back. Pops out of his room every time when I leave my room but runs off if he thinks I have a guy with me. Monopolize the kitchen space and gets pissed if I crack open a window to air out or asked for space in the fridge and starts to be passive aggressive. Purposefully locks me out when I'm doing laundry or moving things upstairs to set up forced interactions and stares at my feet and avoid eye contact while talking.

2023.06.04 18:13 nyc_engineer1 Best outlier pants to pair with a dark blue blazer and button up shirt?

Attending a destination wedding and rolling right into a vacation after, need to fit everything in a carry on. I have a dark blue blazer I'll be bringing and want to get some Outlier pants that I can dress up a bit with but also wear for the duration of my vacation as a casual pant. I haven't bought an Outlier item in a while so wanted to check what you guys might suggest with all the new designs.
I have an old pair of bomb dungarees, and while I love the fit they may be a bit too casual (mainly because of the pocket rivets and more jean-like structure) for the wedding. I'm thinking along the lines of the futuredarts or the futureslimworks (what's the main difference here?) or maybe even the Injected Linen Pants (wedding is in Vancouver, so not exactly a hot location but maybe still a good pant to wear generally for summer, especially back in NYC where I live).
Anyways, any recommendations are appreciated! I'm hoping to get something maybe in a dark grey color since the pants would need to pair with both my dark navy blue blazer and black dress shoes (still unsure what kind of shirt I'm going to wear).

I made a more detailed post, but it didn’t post for some reason. My (29f) girlfriend (43f) wanted to plan my birthday party this year on the beach. She had bought a nice tent to fit up to 9 people and I invited 4 friends to come. We had planned it for 2 months. 3 of my friends basically said they may come but they have other plans when the time came closer and 1 friend never gave me a direct yes or no answer to coming to my party. I was fine with this because just my girlfriend and I doing it was enough for me. Yesterday was the morning of my party and today is my actual birthday. Yesterday, I woke up 3 hours before the party and came into the livingroom and she was sitting on the couch. She immediately started in on me. She began shouting saying I didn’t pick up a few pieces of my art project on the floor in the garage. I had just been working on it 2 days prior and was still sort of working on it. After her going on a tangent about it for about 5-10 minutes and her calling me names and saying I’m disrespecting her by leaving a sheet of moss on the floor in the garage because she had just spent the prior weekend cleaning the garage, I apologized. I did understand why she was upset about it. I told her I had left it there because I was still actively going in there and gluing pieces. She told me to quit making excuses. I stopped saying anything about it and apologized again. She got mad and was telling me my apologies mean nothing and that she’s not going to my birthday party. I started crying and begged her to go and she once again said she’s not going. I kinda lost my bonkers and said “Well no one is going anyways so I just won’t have a party” and she started calling me narcissistic and saying all I care about is my birthday. I went to the bedroom and cried for a while. An hour later, I asked her if she could please just go to my party. I had bought cornhole, a beach wagon, sunscreen, and she had bought a tent and some decorations. She said “I guess I have to go” and she went to the bathroom and started taking a shower. Time was kinda running out, so I went and packed everything into the car. I came back inside and told her I had put everything in the car and she said “Why? I’m not going anywhere.” I started crying again and went back outside and unpacked the car, came back in and told her “If you don’t come to my birthday party, I’m not doing this anymore. I’m done. I can’t forgive you for hurting me like this.” and she once again called me conceited and told me I want everything to be about me and that she’s fine if it’s over. I texted my friends and told them the party is canceled. After crying for a while, I put my swimsuit back on and called one of my friends. She had invited me to the beach an hour away because she was going on a weekend vacation there. I had declined at the time because my party was that weekend. I ended up driving an hour to her vacation rental that she had gotten with one of our other friends and we hung out at the pool, got dinner, and got ice cream. I was there for about 8 hours, but honestly, I was just trying to not be a buzz kill because I felt really sad, so I spent 8 hours pretending to be fine and happy. I did tell my friend why I ended up coming because she asked what happened to me having a party. I came home and my girlfriend was sleeping on the couch so I went and slept in the bed. This morning I woke up, it’s my birthday, and my girlfriend hasn’t said a word to me and it’s been 4 hours. She’s just been tidying the house because her friend is stopping by from out of state and they’re going to brunch. I was supposed to go with them, but I’m obviously not now because we aren’t even talking and I guess broke up? I’ve been crying for hours, can’t really force myself out of the bed, and I’m trying to think of what I can do for my birthday that would be fun by myself. I normally don’t even celebrate my birthday or make it a big deal, but it’s the last birthday of my 20s so I wanted to do something this year. I’m just really upset over all of this.

Alright I'm not gonna exaggerate and make my fiancee sound like she's legit trying to be a manly man-girl. She does work out, she has some muscles, but not Arnold Schwarzenegger muscles, she likes to wear hoodies when cold, Calvin Klein sports bra/tanktop when hot, and she is taller than me, almost towers my dad. But she has long dark hair, looks beautiful in whatever dress she wears. She is still a lady. And always will be. With that being said, whenever she gets angry Belle becomes Beast. I don't want you guys to think I'm constantly being harrassed or bullied like some soap opera but on occasions there times you come across someone who just feels tearing you down for mo other reason except, they fucking felt like it. I think I may have told this story in comments but here's a recap. Fiancee and I went to the gym, and because I don't exercise that often I just stick treadmill, planks, and spot my girl when she's lifting weights. Anyway, I'm on the treadmill listening to a video when a girl who looked like she just came from a Concentration Camp (no disrespect intended I'm just emphasizing how skinny this girl was if you still have a problem with it let me know and I'll edit it I mean no disrespect) some anorexic chick comes up to the treadmill, leans against it and attempts to make small talk with me. I say hi, trying to be polite as I could even though I couldn't really hear because I had my headphones on. Then I see my girl confronting her, this serious look on her face, the skinny girl backing away like she had a gun infront of her then ran out the building. Apparently the girl was trying to flirt with me and not only is it against the rules at the gym to flirt(applies to guys and girls) but I'm my girl's man. No one should be flirting with me unless they are immune to being bashed in the head lol. So here's another story, this was last year so she was still just my girlfriend before we got engaged so just know I'm mentioning the same significant other. My girlfriend and I are getting ready to get on a plane to Florida, we were going to visit Weeki Waaci (a mermaid water park) then DisneyWorld because it was a rough week, we, or I needed a vacation. We're walking through the airport, once again we're dealing with who should carry the luggage. Most of it is our clothes. The other suitcase has personal stuff like her business laptop, books. And my Cheshire Cat themed bag she got me for my birthday with a couple of notebooks and my phone, charger cord, headphones. This isn't a legit full blown argument but it usually consists of her being, "No, honeybunny, only I should carry the stuff, you just bring your beautiful face"(She would say the loving yet cheesiest shit ever lol) and me going, "Babe it's not for you to carry everything, let me carry something otherwise I feel like an asshole." "Nope. I will not put my little prince through such labor" "Can I at least carry my Cheshire Cat bag. Its light." "Actually hon can you carry the Chesire Cat bag?" "If you insist babygirl." Y'all probably thinking "You're exaggerating because this is the rolereversal subreddit" but I'm not lol. This legit what I experience 24/7 with this goofball. God I love her. Anyway so we arrive at our gate. We have at least one hour before we board so we have time to sit and chill. I am very uneasy on flights so I take an advil and tylenol pill(half of a tylenol because I don't wanna be drowsy) so it'll calm my nerves. My girlfriend grabs me tea from a nearby McDonald's, sit me on her lap, I swallow them down and so we kill an hour snuggling on the seat. "Flight blah blah bloo to Orlando Florida now boarding". We get our stuff ready, girlfriend hands me my ticket, window seat😁, and we get in line. So we're just standing around waiting for our turn, when this dude (I gave him the name, Mr. Obnoxious Cougher)stands next to us and he starts coughing. I understand that we have the vaccine now so the idea of maybe getting stick shouldn't be as risky as it would've been back in 2020. But guys, please understand, we are taught in kindergarten to cover your mouth when your body releases bodily fluids like salvia or snot. Its fucking common curtsey. This 40 something year old is coughing like he's auditioning for "Cough The Musical". He is just doing the complete most. I start distancing myself from him but, and I shit you not, he came closer. "What the hell?" It went from a dude having a genuine respiratory issue to doing it on purpose to be obnoxious. He looks forty but hes standing there with his mouth open, coughing like a two year old. So my girlfriend and I just chatting trying to ignore him. I noticed a dude ahead of us with these sweet look shoes. They were Nikes, black bottom, and metallic top. They looked sick. "Hey do you think you could get me those?" "Yeah babe just remind me later" "Yeah yeah. Damn they look beautiful." Suddenly as if I feel like something had sprayed windex in my direction this guy starts coughing in my face. I was freaking livid. "Yo what the fuck?" "Oh sorry." He was standing little inches away from me and coughing right into my face. I actually began to angry cry(you know when you get so mad tears start falling but you're not necessarily sobbing) a millisecond later my girlfriend rushes at Mr. Cougher and actually pins him to the wall, her arm squeezing his throat. She's shouting loud enough for everyone to hear. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING YOU DISGUSTING PIECE OF COW FODDER?!" "S-s-sorry I'm ha-ha-having trouble breath-" "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF YOU'RE CHOKING ON YOUR BLOOD! COVER YOUR MOUTH! YOU DON'T COUGH ON NOBODY LIKE SOMR DAMN 2 YEAR OLD!!" I'm just standing there, wiping my face, almost no reaction while everyone else is like😮😲😬😳 "IF YOU EVER DO THAT CRAP AGAIN, YOU BETTER PRAY TO CHRIST YOU'RE NOT ON THE SAME FLIGHT OR I WILL BREAK YOUR NECK!!" She let's him go as his face starting to turn blue then returned to her place in line beside me. But not before giving the dude a nice knee to the crotch sending him down to the floor. Yeah, she does have a real short temper and was once attending anger management classes before she and I met. But she never gets angry at me because I'm the prince in the relationship. That and I'm fairly easy going so we don't have so different of opinions that we'd get into an argument (Yes I'm aware that its healty to have arguments we are our own person, different perspectives and ideas, I'm just saying I'm not the type of person who is eager to convince everyone that their way deserves more of a look into)unless you count the luggage lol. The only time I remember her being actually irritated with me is one time we went shopping and I would constantly let go of her hand just to rile her up. But thats a story for another time. For those who go to airports you know how the separate lines, right, "Now boarding line 1-5, now boarding line 1-5." We're in line 5-9 they now announce our line and we board our plane. My girl has a very successful career so I've only flown first class since having this girl in my life, hell yeah. So we get to our seat, I managed to snatch her carry on bags, and with speed lifted them into the cabinets above our seats before she was able to react. I had a look of triumph on my face as I took my seat near the window, meanwhile she had a slightly annoyed look on her face. Guess I have a lot to learn about being a little prince lol. So we get comfortable, we fasten our seatbelts and await for the plane to fill up. The armtray between our seats is moveable, so my girlfriend lifted it and put her arm around me as she usually does incase there are times I get anxious and need a snuggle. I nuzzled into chest, her arms wrapped around me and whispered, "My hero." since earlier and rewarded my maiden in shining armor with a kiss. The plane fills up and we're basically ready to get this bird across the runway. Until we see a stewardess and a familiar face beside her, its Mr. Obnoxious Cougher. "Attention passengers, our flight is full and we're look for volunteers who would willingly give up their seats and be bumped for a later flight for 200 dollars" Ironic enough we were flying American Airlines. If this was Spirits I'd wind up like that doctor. No one moved. In general my girlfriend and I wouldn't be the first people to give up seats because why ruin our trip because of someone else's problems. But because of what happened earlier with this person, there was no pity in my eyes. I was just chilling, enjoying snuggling with my girlfriend, but something told me that she was looking at the dude with fire in her eyes. It was unanimous that no one was moving so the stewardess had to escort Cougher out. Everyone could literally hear him throwing an absolute tantrum as he walked back down to terminal. He was swearing and screaming just running his mouth. It was quite amusing. The pilot went over the safety instructions, I turned on a inflight movie, and we relaxed as our flight got ready to take off. It wouldn't be the last time my girl had to bust some heads in order to make sure I was good and safe and God bless her for it. She's like my big sister, my best friend, girlfriend and now fiancee and I can't wait to spend time rest of my life with her.

2023.06.04 17:47 bingo0619 Mediterranean Shore Excursions, Celebrity Infinity

Just got back from 11-day Mediterranean cruise on Celebrity Infinity. Thought I would share what we did and what learned and liked since this gets asked about a lot. Hope it's helpful :)
FYI-We prefer doing food and wine activities over sightseeing and touristy stuff, I will try to add things I heard from other passengers re: things we did not do. I am going to put he tour provider for each excursion for those who might want to book direct. Also, we sacrifice cabin class for good food and more expensive excursions to stay within our budget.

Barcelona- We embarked here and spent a few days prior. We were not prepared for the jet lag as we flew overnight and had one quick layover. We arrived midday and napped, but our schedules were off. I would recommend trying to stay up as long as you can and sleep at night, your normal time. Barcelona is seven hours ahead of the Midwest, where we live. Nevertheless, we rallied our middle-aged asses and had and an amazing time.
I pre purchased skip the line tickets for La Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell on separate days. We went at our scheduled time and did not wait. We stayed on Las Ramblas and took cabs there and walked back. Many people did hop on/off and that worked well. We also went to La Boqueria Market and bought little things from many stands and sampled a lot. Very fun and cool experience. Did a DYI tapas tour I put together on my own from just research. We did not know this, but Elton John was performing when were there and we got to go, which was amazing! Coldplay was also performing there so the city was crowded.
We stayed on Las Ramblas, which was close to the port, but I would recommend staying more inside the city. Our hotel was okay, clean, but not many amentities. Suited our purposes, but was loud some nights. Cabs and food are relatively cheap and easy.

Day 2- Marseille- We did a walking food tour through Shore Excursions Group since the Celebrity one was sold out. This was operated by a company called Do Eat Better Experience. There were six of us, the other 4, not on cruise. Was a four-hour tour and worth it. Went to places I would not have known about. Guide was ok, but not very interactive. We had a great time with the other couples.
We got off early to walk around before the tour which met at 11:30. However, shops and cafe's do not open up till later. I would recommend sleeping later and going into port later, if you dont have an excursion booked. By the time our excursion was over, the towns were buzzing. We took a cab from the port and back, but you can take a bus or shuttle, I believe. Very nice day.
Day 3-Nice (Villefranche)- We did a tour through Celebrity, called Destination highlights, Nice and St. Paul de Vence Village. This was operated by Intercruises Shoreside and Port Services. We tendered super quickly. This was great day and included a lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant and a wine tasting at Cave Bianchi in Nice. We also had plenty of free time to explore each place. The formula 1 racing was in Monoco so there were Ferrari's, Lambo's and other racecars all over the place. We were allowed to look and take pics which was cool.
The lunch and wine tasting were phenomenal. The beach at Nice was gorgeous and if we would have known we would have brought our bathing suit and towels to go there, rather than walk around in the town. You can easily take a cab there and go on your own without doing an excursion. This was an all-day tour. So were back on the ship in time to relax and eat in MDR and chill for the night. It was a great, great day. I will say the people and guides were not as friendly and helpful as in other places, but it's not really an issue and doesn't ruin anything, we just didn't expect it. Our guide in Nice as a little on the unprofessional side, but, to each their own.

Day 4-Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy- We booked a tour through Celebrity called, Destination Highlight: Coast of Cinque Terre and Portovenere, operated by Aloschi Brothers. Our guide was absolutely incredible, probably the best one we have had. her name was Duna in case you ever do this privately. We had individual small receivers and ear buds so we could hear her perfectly. We started in Portovenere where there is the famous Church of San Pietro. Just amazing and stunning views. The town is charming, and we walked and sampled. Did not buy much, just some food to take home.
We then took a boat ride up the coast and ended at the last of the Cinque Terre Villages, Monterosso. I am so glad did this over the three-village tour by bus. The boat ride up the coast was just amazing, and I assume this villages were similar. Gorgeous village. Rather than fight the crowd we hiked up a steep hill to the just incredible Porto Roco hotel and ate an incredible seafood and pasta lunch. The views were fabulous, and we had it to ourselves. Great meal. There is also a small, but beautiful beach at Monterosso you can hang out on. This was our favorite day.
We did the Chef's table on Celebrity that night which was otherworldly. A lot of eating and drinking this day. Incredible day!
Day 5- Rome (Civitavecchia) We were never going to Rome, no desire to travel there and deal with the crowds. I booked a private car from We Love Italy to go wine tasing in Tuscany. We had a husband-and-wife couple, Paulo and Nicola driving us, and it was great. They were absolutely lovely, and it was a pleasure and privilege to be with them, so kind and generous. They have an open invitation to stay with us if they ever visit. They also took us to a village and beach in Capalbio and for lunch in Manciano-Saturina. Again, amazing food and wine. The boat left late so we had lots of time.
I heard Rome was not as crowded as some thought and some of our shipmates actually got a glimpse of the Pope at the Vatican, which is so special.

Day 6-at Sea- up by 7 :( and got a spot and the hot tubs after breakfast. Stayed by the pool most of morning, it was great weather. Lots of activities to do but we chilled. We did the Mixology class offered by Celebrity which was a blast. We were bartenders at Martini bar for a few hours learning to make and serve cocktails. So, so fun and crew and guests were great.
Day 7- Valletta, Malta: We did an excursion from Celebrity called, Destination Highlight: Seaside towns of Vittoriosa and Marsaxlokk. Operated by Sam Mifsud and Sons. The tour was so so, the best part being a trip for wine and food tasting. Do you guys sense a pattern? It was rather boring, I should have researched better on this one. The fishing village, Marsaxlokk was a basic tourist trap with a makeshift market and nothing open. Vittoriosa was nicer and where the restaurant was. They did set up a nice area and what was served was good. I think doing more on your own or going to Gozo or Limoncello tasting would be good. I looked after and there are some excursions that looked way better.
Day 8-at Sea- Very chill day. We did the Blendique Wine Class and the World Wine Tasting which we have done before. Both super fun with great people and crew. We did not eat much or go to pool.
Day 9- Santorini, Greece-We did an excursion through Celebrity called, Small Group Discoveries: Island Wine Tasting Experience, operated by Rhapsody Travel. Tendering ashore was organized and quick. Went to three wineries on the island and had food at each. Also visited black sand beach and red sand beach. the latter of which was spectacular. Very nice tour with not a lot of people. This also included our cable car tickets down. We ate lunch at a restaurant on the water, which I forgot the name, but it was good. There were 8 other ships there, so it got crowded, we left after lunch and waited a very reasonable hour for the cable cars down to the tender spot. Up tp this point it was nice day.
Due to something very upsetting I witnessed in the town, not cruise related, I will never, never, ever step foot on Santorini again. Not necessary to discuss as it was personal to me, and I don't want to cloud anyone else's experience or opinion.
We watched the famous sunset from the top deck and it did not disappoint. We avoided the very long lines to get back to ship at night.
Day 10-Mykonos, Greece: We did a Celebrity excursion called, Small Group Discoveries: Mykonian Cooking Experience, operated by Rhapsody Travel. People, I cannot tell you how great this was. We went to a private home or spiti. There 14 of us. Teta was our host and the home own. So gracious and generous. We learned so much and all interacted and prepared an authentic lunch and sat down to eat. She prepared dessert as well. It was around 4 hours. She was incredibly gracious and generous. Probably the second-best day we had. One of the best excursions we have ever done. I would do it again for sure.
We walked around Mykonos after and had ANOTHER lunch at a restaurant called Promenade that was great. Very fresh seafood and authentic food. This a was very nice town, we loved it. There was a very small church with a blue dome, (others had different colors) that was open and it was beautiful inside. It was right by the water. I'm not Greek orthodox or even religious, but I got chills. I small prayer of thanks to my G-d for giving me this experience. I would 100% come back to Mykonos.
We bought beautiful piece of art from a local artist and owned studio called, Triciclo. It was really our only big purchase. We don't really but T-shirts, magnets, etc.
Day 11-Athens: I had transfer and we went right home. :(

This was a beautiful, beautiful cruise. I could not have asked for better experiences.
Celebrity tendering was fast and organized and easy. This who had excursions at applicable ports met and left by group with 30 minutes of docking. Those who had tickets to tender without a Celebrity excursion got called overhead by group and left from a different deck, also fast.
Quite a few of the guide said Celebrity tender the quickest and best. They mentioned other line by name that were not good, but I don't be negative or worry someone else, so I won't mention specifics.
My other suggestion for Celebrity would be to pick excursions that are "Small Group Discoveries", or "Destination Highlights". These seemed to be a better experience.
