Does anyone know if deliveries come at a certain time over the weekend? Want to go on Friday before usual crowds swarm the place but should I wait for deliveries to come later in the weekend? What are some the best strategies? Thanks in advance.

Probably not. Not opposed to it, but don't have much experience with it and I'm guessing it's unnecessary for this type of build.

Needs to be as quiet as possible within reason for around this budget. Extra space for eventually adding an internal capture card would be nice, but not required. (Probably also worth noting that cooling needs to be better than bare minimum as summers get very hot where I live.)

What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.

I wanted to get a second opinion from the Reddit Community. I hired a general contractor to build a new construction home in NY. We signed a written contract on the scope of work and the payment terms. There's a clause in the contract which includes a liability waiver which states that the homeowner will not be responsible for injury from the contractor or sub-contractors during construction. Unfortunately, we had to fire the general contractor for non-performance about 75% of the way as he stopped coming to finish the work for months and it was delaying the project to the extent we had to renew our permits with the town. I hired another general contractor to finish up the house. During the time the original GC was working at the house, he claims to have gotten injured and is suing me and his sub-contractor for damages stating negligence. I have homeowners insurance which includes personal liability and I have filed a claim with my insurance company. They said to wait a few days while they assign and review my case.
I'm wondering if anyone has gone through something similar and whether I need to consider hiring a separate attorney or if relying on my homeowner's insurance is sufficient for this?

So I created this homebrew to play with some local friends and then some of my buddies from the army heard me talking about it so we all got talespire to play it as well. So I am now DM'ing a in person Homebrew and the Talespire Homebrew with my friends across the states. I am pretty proud of it since I have 41 built from scratch maps and a Inkarnate main map for them to roam around on. Both parties are making good time in the campaign but the Talespire group is moving super fast compared to the in person since I can make and prep all the maps before hand. I can not wait for more assets to come available and I have had to do a lot of improvising to make the different factions look different via their architecture and people.

Hi everyone. I'm not on mobile and I speak english good so I have no excuse except I don't really care.
As has been mentioned in previous posts I'm currently working as a delivery driver and recently I got to use part of my companies contract in my favour (that's spelled correctly, it's not my problem that you're 'merican). I forget what the actual legal term is, but there is one particular line in my companies contract that is rarely used, but it's always good fun when it is.
A really simple explanation of what my company does: We're contracted by suppliers to move their stuff from where it's produced to it's ultimate destination, that ultimate destination is usually a store or restaurant, but ultimately it doesn't matter. If you pay us, we'll drop a pallet in the middle of a field (I've done that in the past, big catering job that wanted 2000lbs of various kinds of meat at a remote location. As soon as it hit the ground it got swarmed by cooks. It kinda looked like a swarm of piranhas eating a cow). So it looks something like this:
Supplier->My Company->Customer
I know, it's really complicated but I'm sure you can figure out eventually.
Anyway.
Mostly deliveries involving pallets of stuff have a loading dock or area of some sort and since we usually don't bother with pallets of less than 1000lbs (450kg or so) we usually prefer to use a dedicated loading area (for some reason, the general public gets antsy when someone is moving heavy cargo near their cars. It's weird I know). However, the kicker is that it doesn't matter where you go, or who you deal with, you always have self-important dickhead managers and self-important dickhead managers just looooooooove to park in loading areas (god-forbid that they have to park with the peasants) and it is so common that it is written into our contract with them that we have priority over the loading area, to the point that, if needed, I can walk up to the manager or owner of a store or restaurant and tell them "Move your fucking car" and if they don't after the third time I ask, they are in immediate breach of contract and I am to refuse their delivery and move on with my day. Now I normally try to be more professional than that, but you get the basic idea. I
Hence Term 69.
It's not actually called that, but this way I get to write a story about the funny sex number and that makes my inner teenager giggle.
In this case, what happened is that there was a restaurant that goes through a hefty amount of chicken every week (think 1500lb/680kg pallets being delivered 2x per week) complete with a dedicated and marked loading area, but I had a constant problem with the manager of this place parking in their loading area and taking 20+ minutes to move their car.
So to summarize, we have:
A blocked loading area. Multiple attempts to get the manager to move their car out of the loading area. A history of trying to get the manager to move their car out of the loading area.
Looks like we have a prime opportunity for some malicious contract compliance.
After the third attempt and 27 minutes of waiting (I timed it) for the manager to move their car I called my manager, explained what was going on and said that I think it's time to invoke Term 69 (he's well aware of the issues that I've had with this place in the past) and gives his go-ahead.
So I walk in. Tell the nearest employee "Get your manager here. Now" and wait for the resident dickhead.
In a remarkably low amount of time, the manager appears and demands to know what the hell I'm doing.
I tell him "I've been waiting for almost half an hour, I've made multiple attempts to make this delivery and that you have so far refused to move your car. I'm invoking Term 69 of our contract with you and am refusing your delivery" I then hand him a business card with my managers number on it and tell him "My manager will be expecting your call tomorrow. I think you have an interesting phone call ahead of you" and walk out.
Throughout my little spiel, the manager was looking angrier and angrier right up until I said "Term 69" and "refusing your delivery" and at that point, he just goes pale.
The reason why this is such a big deal is as follows: 1) he suddenly doesn't have desperately needed ingredients needed for the functioning of his restaurant and won't have them for another few days at a minimum 2) The invoking of Term 69 involves the halting of our contract until a complete review of the circumstances is done. 3) We're a specialist company and are one of three companies in the city willing to handle freight under the exact circumstances we handle and once the other two companies hear that we invoked this Term of our contract, they're not going to touch this place with a 10 foot pole. 4) the manager knows all this
Term 69 is the nuclear option. It's only used as a last resort, but it's really nice to have in your back pocket.

Anyone else constantly getting hunted down by lvl.450 with gold snipers who won’t merge squads and seem to be playing solely to run around spamming UAV and ignoring the rest of the mode?
It’s getting to the point where I just leave the match if I start being followed across the entire map when I’m clearly trying to avoid getting in the way of other players. Recently on Ashika island I was abandoned by my teammates early on, so I went off and did my missions alone. Then I noticed a 6 person team secure the case and head for exfil. I decide to hide and wait for them to leave. Suddenly, right as the heli touches down one pops a UAV and they all beeline for me. At this point I get on a jet ski and dip out. I kid you not, 1 minute later a boat rolls up and I hear “enemy advanced UAV active” and several footsteps screeching towards me. I quit the match so that they wasted all that time.
I don’t care that this is “how you like to play”, I’m giving my opinion that it’s toxic and not sportsmanlike

This is my first time dealing with contractors at all, so we have a old gray plastic pipes in our first home, since we have closed with this house we already had 2 water pipe leaked, and every time plumbers that came advised to change pipes in whole house. I saved money for this, and requested quotes for pipes replacement on facebook, and 1 guy came said to replace whole system you need to remove whole kitchen and gave a quote around $2000 just for labor. So I saved some money to replace kitchen. It took us about a year since that quote, so we made a post in local facebook groups for looking contractor to replace kitchen and water pipes system in house. Had around 15 replies and looked on their photo portfolio from completed projects. So we decide to stop with, let’s call him ‘O’. Seemed professional, said he has a crew with 2 helpers, and it will take them about 10 days for all and only labor will be $9000. We measured kitchen, we ordered from Lowes. O stated that once it kitchen will be delivered we can start, I am adding you guys on my calendar for 2nd March. Kitchen came 2nd March. He didn’t expected that it was delivered on time, he asked 2 more days, to complete other project that took little bit longer. We agreed. After 2 days, he came with 1 helper, and removed old kitchen. Opened drywalls and started replacing pipes, they were coming around 2-3 days straight and completed 1st floor, almost 2nd floor pipes, but didn’t touched basement. Then he said I will come next week, I have another project and client, we didn’t know how to respond and didn’t want to conflict in the middle of replacement of pipes. After that he started coming 1-2 days in a week, and finished almost all pipes by himself, but 3 times there was a leaks, 1 he came and fixed next morning, but with other 2 (different days in timeframe let’s say Friday and Saturday) he replied I will come on maybe Tuesday for half day or Wednesday for full day, better for me to come full day, so I will come on Wednesday . I was pissed even, I could turn off affected areas by valves and to have limited areas water available, waiting till Wednesday was too much, I asked him to come, I asked him if he could come Tuesday to fix this 2 leaks. He replied, “now I have to”. I was so mad and tried to be patient, but this time, I replied if you don’t want you can not come at all. He replied I want to finish all quicker for client. During weekend I went to lowes and bought 3 shark bites and fixed leaks myself. He showed up on Tuesday not in a mood, and found that I fixed myself, he replied he could not come, but let’s finish what I can and started replacing basement pipes, garage valve etc. He was replying rude when I talk, and felt something like he is mad. But in facts it’s been 3 weeks, kitchen is still hasn’t been replaced and we just finished with pipes. No I am feeling stress to fight him, so he will not messed up anything with kitchen. I am trying to be nice, but still feel that he has 2-3 projects at same time and he keeping all clients waiting him to bounce between us. I haven’t anticipated that, and feeling he is behaving as jerk, after I replied if you don’t want to come you can not come at all. Please advice how to proceed. I am sorry for english and typos, it’s my second language.

on the 20th floor we meet a test repeater named wangnan ja (an anagram of this name means : "I am the prince ") this ja says that one day he will be the king of this tower and thane proceeds to fail a test to climb , again .
a while later we are introduced to the new fug slayer nominee jyu viole grace (kind of a gloomy gus ) shortly after we are introduced to the son of a loan shark named prince .
wangnan is shown to forget a ring he has with a zahard(king of the tower) crest on it , viole finds the ring and returns this ring to it's rightful owner.
about a day later the advancement test is over and we see agusgus speaking on the pocket with the deep sea fish (han sung yu ) a fug ranker , saying that their prince has gone up.
now which prince did he mean ? wangnan , viole or prince .
later on wangnan is called prince of the red light district by hwaryun a guide .
with thet siu plays on "who knows what "even still we don't know for sure who agusgus meant .
siu prey's and play's on this subtle details and interduces complexity thru theme , even more amazingly he does thet while writing multiple plot lines with different convergence and divergence point's , its like he is juggling while breathing fire while riding a unicycle on a tightrope .
now there are plenty of other moments , plot lines , plot points ,backstories and character's thet show how complected siu writing style is.

I usually shoot film, but my camera broke and I will be heading to Osaka in a few days. Considering how hard it is to find film and batteries nowadays, I will take this as a chance to upgrade to a digital camera. I think the X-Pro 2 will be a good choice for me given my film background.

Hi everyone, I did an endoscopy and was diagnosed with pan-gastritis in 2013. was experiencing GERD on and off, before I experienced what felt like LPR recently (I even have brown and bloody mucus, voice hoarseness, sore throat, excess mucus)
so I decided to see an GI, he gave me nexium + braxidin + erdosteine + domperidone. symptoms getting only slightly better and the blood persists. he asked me to do an endoscopy, so I do it again. I was diagnosed with mild esopaghitis + gastritis.
I also was diagnosed positive for h pylori too, (I was negative in h pylori in 2013)
he prescribed me double antibiotics amoxicillin + clarithromycin along with Esomeprazole (nexium) plus braxidin, erdosteine, and domperidone for a week. pretty much the same as the first medicals he gave me, just added with the double antibiotics.
Right after I finished the treatment, I see an ENT's (because I was so anxious due to the bloody mucus and sore throat) , he asked me to do CT scans and TB sputum test (which came out good), and he prescribed me with amoxicillin along with tranexamic acid + troches for 10 days. symptoms are getting better, even the blood is no longer visible (probably due to tranexamic acid?) although I still have mucuses. right after that, I return to my GI again, he prescribed me with the nexium, braxidin, and domperidone this time. asked me to take h-pylori breath test 2 weeks after I finished th antibiotics my ENT's gave me. (the problem is he also gave me nexium/Esomeprazole which I read can cause false negatives in h pylori test, but my GI said it won't, haha)
symptoms stay the same, but the blood is no longer visible yet so I felt very good. but I suddenly had a very bad flare up several days ago in the norning, thick mucuses and the brown colour appears again, persists until today. this is very confusing, I started to combine gaviscon with my medicals 1 day ago to no avail yet. anyone has similar situations? any tips?
was planning to return to GI, but worried he will give me the same PPI's again which might interfere with the breath test, which he said won't.

So I'm a Junior in High School who remained undiagnosed with ADHD for a very long time (due to denial, confusion on how to get help, embarrassment, etc.)
I am going to start taking medication soon (hopefully), but by soon I mean more than a month until my first meeting with my psychiatrist.
Problem is: I can't wait that long. One month is enough to turn the academic situation from bad to worse.
What short term tricks can help me maintain my focus in what I need to do?

We are a family of 3 that was perfectly satisfied with a 2009 Audi A4 wagon until it recently bit the dust. The baby is becoming a toddler and it was starting to feel small anyway. We like to get outdoors and once busted our Audi doing something we shouldn't have, so are seeking more ground clearance with an SUV this time. While we do get grandparents visiting from time to time, 3 row SUVs feel too large for the day to day urban environment and we would rather rent a minivan for a weekend if needed. Our situation is likely to be vastly different in a few years so we're planning to lease.
Since we only have the one car, we need to make a decision fast as we're currently ferrying the little one to childcare on public transit. We enjoy zippy feels and tight handling. We don't drive very much compared to many people and don't care about MPGs. We've considered a ton of cars at this point and have analysis paralysis. The main set of heavily recommended practical SUVs (Santa Fe/Rav4/Outback/Tiguan etc.) all look incredibly generic or actively horrendous to us, have CVTs, are under-powered, or seem more popular for virtue signalling than for actual merit. Any advice is appreciated at this point.
Below is a list of everything we've test driven and how we've felt about it:

• Ford Bronco Sport - Love the look, hated the drive. Cargo space let us down as well.
• Mazda CX-50 - Really wanted to like this one, but didn't. Mostly great interior, except the seats were too hard. Handling and acceleration was the real downside, it just lacked flow.
• Genesis GV70 - Gorgeous interior. A very comfortable ride, but seems to be targeting smoothness and comfort over fun factor. Felt kind of anemic on the road even compared to the old Audi.
• Tesla Model Y - Fairly spartan, but fun and has that roof. 7 seat configuration is a nice plus, and the lease terms were surprisingly affordable compared to some on this list. We don't love the idea of going fully electric at this time, but would feel better about doing it with the Tesla charging network.
• Volvo XC40 - Too small, not enough range from 10-80%.
• Volvo XC60 Mild Hybrid - Felt pretty good as a well rounded gas car, not sure what the hybrid part is even doing to affect the drive. Would be acceptable, but pretty hard to settle on after driving the next two.
• Audi Q5e - Really great, but the quality of the interior was a huge let down. Too expensive for what you get even after rebate.
• Volvo XC60 PHEV - Loved pretty much everything about it, but so expensive. We can afford it, but it doesn't feel responsible (new dad is cheap dad). This is the best of both worlds and would be our choice if it were more affordable. Anything that comes close for less?

I (21f) just graduated college and got my first full time job. I hate everything about it except some coworkers. I always wanted to be a teacher, but I was hesitant because of pay. This made me realize I don’t care, and going back to grad school for teaching is all I can think about. I also moved out of state and hate where I am, in the middle of nowhere. I wanted to wait out the year to save up money, but every day is excruciatingly more painful and I also want to enjoy my summer with my friends but I can’t 2 hours away.
I’m conflicted if I should leave, Id have a job at my park district working with kids where I worked for 2 years, so it might look good on a teaching resume, but I’d be making significantly less. Id still have enough money. To be poor and happy or rich(er) and miserable for the rest of the year? Might be overthinking this and won’t matter in 10 years but ugh :,)

I put new brakes on burned them in. They were fine at first then they started squealing when I barely touched them coming to a stop slowly.
Waited about 400 miles still doing it. Took everything off re greased the shims and did another burn-in.
They were great for about 200 miles but now they are doing it again.
Bad pads? Any thoughts would be great and appreciated.

I’m so confused. I had a promo offer in the mail and decided to call the Amex rep up in Jan to understand what are my benefits to upgrade from gold to reserve and they explained to me the following:

1. Welcome upgrade bonus points, like 40K worth or so. I cannot recall
   
2. Entitlements to all the card member benefits including companion fair
   

Been 3 months and have spent the initial amount $6K on the card to qualify for the bonus points and Nada. Have not even gotten my companion fair added either. Both are causing me to delay booking flights given that was the whole reason I decided to upgrade to use companion fair for my wife and I to Hawaii and points for my parents to visit me.
Amex support now is saying I’m not entitled to the welcome points because I was already a member despite the original sales rep I talked to promised me I would. They opened a ticket to investigate and that’s been outstanding for a couple of weeks now. They also said I won’t get my companion fair, since it’s on my renewal date and I upgraded to the reserve literally 2 days after my Gold membership renewed in Jan, so they said I have to now wait until Jan next year?? Wtf? They shipped me a new card and everything and on their site it even says:

If your account anniversary month changes for any reason (for example, due to a card replacement), your Companion Certificate will be issued within your new renewal month

Question for the community if you’re willing to share:

1. Has anyone else upgraded from Gold to Reserve or alike and received the welcome points after doing so? I understand may not be the amount for ‘new’ Amex customers but any at all?
   
2. When new members to Amex sign up for the Reserve, do they have to wait one calendar year to get companion fairs? I know my renewal date is now a bit later than my previous and I have a new card now so not sure why they are saying I have to wait one year.
   

I the first year for the Reserve a write off or something? Did I make a mistake upgrading from an existing Amex card vs cancel and re-apply as a new customer? I’m so disappointed in Amex and confused.
