Everyone always compares me to my brother just because he's smart and achieved a lot in his life, it always makes me sick because they don't know his true behavior at home because he's is very manipulative and rude to me and my parents throughout my childhood and even to this day he acts like a high value person because of his achievements while always gives BS excuse when asked to do something around the house which is usually will be given to me most of the time while he just sits there on his computer (it was originally a family computer but was claimed by my brother because he always uses it) watching anime or doing research on his stupid card game collection.
My parents barely disciplined him when he was growing up because he's the golden child of the family while always spoiling him with gifts, opportunities and hand me down electronics from my parents plus he even gets to drive a car for free after he got his drivers license as he only needs to pay for gas and insurance while I was given a car after I graduated college but I had to manage everything except my dad only pays half of the down payment. My brother gets to work in a good paying job that actually has something to do with his college degree that he specifically requested for while I was forced to work in a minimum wage job at the supermarket as a front entrance security guard that has nothing to do with my college diploma in which my parents forced me to go to a college to major things that has nothing to do with my skillset, passion or anything that interests me.
I feel like my parents always see's me as stupid as they think I don't know how to do in life. When I asked my parents why am I treated differently from my brother is because they wanted me to become "a good man". My parents always thinks as if they know me but they don't know jack sh*t about me as they don't even know what my interest in things I want to do. The college that my dad forced me to go to was a private college that major in business that I don't have any interest in. Before that college, I was offered to go to a medical and multimedia major college that I have a lot of interest in but as soon as he learned that it was a private college he straight away rejected it but in the end he forced me to a private college anyways despite his warning of specifically telling me to not go to private college (frikin hypocrite).
I had no choice so I studied really hard on the first semester and I managed to score a GPA of 3.71 beating all other of my college mates. I was hoping to get a congrats from my parents but no, they said something really hurtful instead in which I quote "good, but your time there is not confirmed. I still want you to go to a government college so don't stay there". I had no idea how my father can be so heartless saying that to me on the phone knowing I put so much effort in learning business from scratch. I had a mental breakdown after that and it was so bad I was sent to the college counselor and she sent me to see a therapist in a hospital because my counselor made me do a mental health test and it was off the charts in a terrible way. I had to see a therapist every month after that. In short, I've never had the opportunity to attend a government college so I'm stuck to this college to the very end and scored a CGPA of 3.39 and I still don't get a single congrats from my parents. My parents barely care about my biggest achievement to the point they don't want me to attend my own college graduation that was in a different state in my country that requires a flight ticket.
After graduation, my father hook me up with a job at my local supermarket because my uncle has a connection with the manager there as he referred me to him. it was very depressing and stressful as I worked there since mid 2020 to this day. I feel like I just wasted my time in college because that college was very well known and promised me to get a job offer after graduating. I sent numerous Emails of my resume to different companies but I never had a single reply from them.
So I discussed my next move in life to my parents that I want to be a game designer so I asked my parents if they support my decision and I hope they understand that this is what I want to do in my life. they rejected it completely saying there's no future in gaming as I showed them a lot of evidence that gaming industry is booming this year thanks to my skills in analyzing business statistics that I learned in college. They still rejected my idea and say that I'm too stupid to learn about computers even though my diploma is a mix of IT and business management. At this point I know that I have to abandon my dream and continue to work in jobs that I hate for the rest of my life while my brother gets to go further in life the way he wants.
Sometimes I wish I was dead because I don't want to suffer for the rest of my life doing things that doesn't makes me feel satisfied. I want to create games for other people to enjoy and leave something behind after I die so people remember me through my works.

My (28M) parents are being displaced from their rental situation of 15+ years.
The cost of living in their area (CA) has become too expensive to have them rent in the same city they have been living in.
One option is moving them out about 45 minutes from their current living location and having me purchase a home that they will rent from me. Their jobs are in between their current home and the area I’m looking at. This would allow them to keep their current jobs.
I have a good paying job and have saved up more than enough for a down payment (20%) on a home in the $450k-$500k range. I’m in a relationship where I don’t anticipate to be settling down in any location in the next 2-3 years due to my partner being in academia.
I am curious if anyone can offer any advice on how I should go about it. I can technically move back home for 1 year and live in the home with them to get a better interest rate ~6.25% as a primary residence loan and then move back out with my partner into the rental situation I’m currently in. I believe this is the proper way to do this to avoid purchasing the home as an investment vehicle with a higher interest rate. I also don’t know how the rental income would technically affect me. I know individuals can gift $15,000 to someone every year. Would them gifting me what would otherwise be rent up to that limit be illegal? If not illegal, what would be the downside to this? Particularly thinking about when I do decide I want a home of my own with my partner, I think I’d want to show that I have income generating from my 1st mortgage.
Here’s the thing, I’ve run the numbers, and I know what amount my parents would be comfortable paying. The difference comes out to about $500/month. This includes property taxes and homeowners insurance at the current tax accessed value (at $475k). So I will have to spend ~$500 a month above what they could comfortably pay me in rent. They are currently working on paying off some debts that will free up about $800/month in about 3 years so I can revisit the rent amount paid to me then. They had a lot of debt and consolidated it for a better rate about 4 years ago, they were previously paying minimums on credit card debt with no end in sight. They’ve been great not getting into more debt and pay off all their debts every month now. I don’t view them as being risky with their money.
As far as investments go, I have about 90k in my 401k, I just about max out my 401k every year, so I could always scale this back if needed. Am I wrong to look at this as an asset that I’d be building equity in over the next 20-30 years, so the $500 additional I’m paying to cover the mortgage is just helping me store wealth? My parents are 57 and 53. I mainly want them to be able to retire near all of our family and not have to worry about being displaced again so I have no intentions of selling this anytime soon, especially since their parents are also getting older and they want to be around to help them.
I bring home just over 5k net a month and I would still have about $75k in savings after my down payment and closing costs on a property at $475k.

One other thing is my role has an annual bonus (not included in my net monthly income). Historically the net amount has been between $15k-$25k. This will allow me to save for my next home with my partner. This isn’t guaranteed, but I have been with my company for several years and it has been paid every year I’ve been there. I work remotely, so it doesn’t matter where I work from.

Is it normal for people in audit type positions to be somewhat "shunned" socially?
People praise my work, daily. People trip over themselves thanking me and recommending me for things internally. I'm not dumb, i know a lot of this is a nice way to saddle me with other duties. Thing is I've been there almost a decade. We're all close at work, one coworker because my real life best friend. But the others, even those who are very close to her, the friendly vibes are never extended outside working hours, which is fine.

For added anonymity, have a second anonymous Kucoin account (log off to switch inbetween accounts or install it a second time in samsung secure folder). Send your crypto to the second Kucoin account using its internal transfers so you don't pay network fees (I tested using regular blockchain transfers between Kucoin addresses and Kucoin automatically detects and uses internal transfer either way).
On checkout use the coinbase commerce option if you're sending any crypto that is not BTC. Copy the payment address and allocate the required amount + network fees on top. My experience
So far so good. The software is very simplified, the on-screen keyboard looks and feels familiar to a legacy stock version of Android. I haven't gotten a deep dive into Github just yet so it might be based on Android.
The touchscreen is very responsive, no lag. Also vibrates on touch and when typing. The screen is aesthetically crisp and colorful. The device feels premium but also has the look and feel of simplicity. I can't really describe it but I just really like it.
The screen is glass and again feels very premium. There screen nor body bends at all. Very thick and firm body build made of fiberglass.
The camera is not shitty quality as I was expecting it to be. That gives me assurance that I won't be getting any errors.
It's blockchain support is a just little lacking. I wish it had Polygon side-chain support, I don't want to pay high gas fees sending Polygon to my wallet on Ethereum. I also wish it had Monero blockchain support but at least Keystone is currently in the works of providing more blockchain support, with Monero being a priority.

She simply sent me paragraphs of messages telling me she loves me and happy birthday, but didn’t even do even the smallest gesture for me. But expects the world of me for her birthday. I was hurt. But I keep thinking.. it’ll get better. Because each time I pull away she tells me how much she loves me and to please never leave her.
It’s a very weird situation and I’m just really strained. Are all relationships this expensive?
I’ve never had a girlfriend urge me to spend so much money on her like this before, while also not giving me any sort of companionship at all. No bonding. Nothing. I feel like a cheap fantasy sugar daddy and I’m sad because I don’t think she knows that she makes me feel that way.
What do I do? It’s giving me so much stress.
