I, like many, have been using ChatGPT obsessively. LLMs are an absolute game-changer. It is certainly a flawed model for data accuracy, however, in creative applications, it really shines. And I wanted to share this exercise with you: A breathtakingly true Redwall edition we co-created. Combined with midjourney images for illustration. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I read and re-read every section GPT generated and spent hours making sure there was consistency. Criticism is encouraged and appreciated.

Five centuries after the time of Martin the Warrior, Redwall Abbey is led by an aged and ailing Abbot who is well-loved but no longer able to effectively lead. The Abbot's health has been declining, and his once sharp mind has become increasingly forgetful. Decisions are often deferred or delegated to a council of elders, who unfortunately spend more time arguing amongst themselves than making meaningful decisions. Some elders are too cautious, fearing change, while others are too detached, not realizing the extent of Redwall's decline. Key positions are filled by individuals who are more interested in maintaining their own status than genuinely ensuring the Abbey's safety. In the absence of strong leadership, Redwall's once strong walls are crumbling, the verdant gardens are untended, the lush Mossflower Woods are becoming perilous and untamed, and threats are mounting from nefarious creatures skulking about the borders. The Abbey's once thriving community feels dispirited.
Our protagonist is a sprightly and resourceful young mouse named Eldred. Son of Elderberry the head chef and Rillian the Abbey's historian. Eldred was expected to follow his father's footsteps and become a historian, a role he respects but has always found himself yearning for something more adventurous and impactful. In helping his father one evening, Eldred stumbles upon an ancient, dust-laden tome in the library's darkest corner. The book, a diary of Matthias, reveals the secret location of Martin's legendary sword. With a spark of hope ignited in his heart, Eldred embarks on a dangerous journey to retrieve the sword, with the dream of reviving the lost glory of Redwall Abbey.

Our antagonist is a cunning and relentless wildcat named Thane Grimbane. Grimbane, the descendent of Tsarmina, has heard of Eldred's quest for Martin's sword and becomes hellbent on seizing it to reign over Mossflower. Known for his cruelty and strategic mind, Grimbane seeks to dismantle the tranquility of Redwall and create a reign of terror across the lands.
Finding the sword sets off a series of calamities, with Redwall being attacked by increasingly aggressive vermin, the weather turning harsh, and internal strife reaching an all-time high. Many inexperienced residents are thrust into great responsibility. Despite the calamities, Eldred's discovery brings about a transformative change. Eldred experiences a surge of strength, courage, and growth, both physically and emotionally, making him a beacon of respect among the Redwall inhabitants. The sword's mystical abilities, infused by the spirit of Martin the Warrior and countless battles fought for justice and peace, transform Eldred and prepare him for the upcoming trials.
As more newcomers and families seek refuge in Redwall, escaping Grimbane's tyranny, the Abbey begins to transform. Eldred's newfound courage and Martin's sword instill a glimmer of hope. Eldred, still adjusting to his unexpected leadership role, continues to inspire and unite the inhabitants of Redwall. An unexpected influx of refugees, fleeing from the escalating threats in Mossflower, bring a wealth of untapped skills and fresh ideas.
Newly arrived families and individuals include:

The patriarch, Rudder, his wife, Shell, and their playful twin pups, Ripple and Wave, bring joy and energy to Redwall. 2023.05.28 18:40 DogLady1722 AITA for yelling at my husband for taking my last can of soda?

I do realize that this is an extremely 1st world problem, but it pissed me off to no end. My husband is addicted to Diet Pepsi. I buy him the big 20oz bottles in a 6 or 8 pack, like 4 for $10, depending what is on sale. I enjoy a Diet Pepsi from time to time, but I can’t, stomach wise, & shouldn’t , health wise, have that much soda. I mean, he shouldn’t either, but I am actually in kidney failure. It’s chronic, I’ve had it for years, & with the good meds I’m on, it’s not like I’m dying anytime soon (fingers crossed).
So when I buy his soda, I buy myself the 7oz tiny cans. I have a strict limit of 1 per day. Some days, I don’t have any. He could go through 6 -20oz bottles in 1 day.
So today, I just finished painting a bathroom wall, & went to have a can. My last one. It was gone.
I asked him is he drank my soda, & he said, “Yep. Mine weren’t cold yet, & we don’t have any ice.”
I was upset, & called him an asshole, & said he knew by looking that it was my last can.
He said that I can just WAIT & have a bottle of his WHEN it gets cold. That way, I can also save some from that bottle for tomorrow. I said the remainder will be flat tomorrow.
He said IATA for making such a big deal out of a can of soda?
So AITA for being mad that he took my last little can of soda?

Was the --ap-mso ATTOTT ever fixed? I remember having the problem a year ago (https://old.reddit.com/youtubedl/comments/ot084x/problems_with_tbs/) but I don't think it was ever fixed. I believe it broke right around the time DirectTV/ATT did their whole merger thing.

Another Madden $70 re-skin is upon us, so let's take a moment to explore the history of all the people who have been featured on the cover of an pro football video game.
While the selection of the Madden cover athlete is now an event, there was a wild wild west period of football games from the 80s to the mid-2000s where anybody with a computer could and would build football games, with the selection of the cover being all over the place. Roger Craig was the first cover athlete in 1985 on NFL Challenge for MS-DOS. Madden's first game was in 1988, then by the mid-90s getting a cover athlete or spokesman for your football game was pretty standard.
I wanted to compile those games and covers based on this Wiki article (and a few that it was missing from that list) and see who was on the main cover of all of those games (some games were almost completely irrelevant, so I left them off this list). Some of these may have more alternates with other people, but I'll stick with the main cover.

Obviously QBs dominate here, but I didn't realize how little defensive players have been on football game covers (9%), with none being on a cover since Richard Sherman in 2014. I'd love to see more defensive players on the Madden cover. Who would be the most likely defensive guy in the near future? Aaron Donald, TJ Watt, Nick Bosa, Myles Garrett, or Sauce Gardner?

If a team's player was not a lead on the cover or was not any identifiable player, I gave them a *
The Re-skins/Commanders?, Jags, Panthers, and Bills have appeared on a cover but never with an athlete as the lead or with a real person. Only the Texans have never appeared at all on the cover of any football video game. I'd say the Bills are most likely to get one next (Josh Allen), then the Jags (Trevor Lawrence), then the Panthers/Texans if either hits a home run with Young or Stroud. The Commanders have a long road ahead to getting a feature cover athlete, unless you ask Sam Howell who thinks he should be this year's Madden cover athlete.

Kordell Stewart, Daunte Culpepper, and Donovan McNabb (and possibly Lamar Jackson, still too early for him) are the only players with multiple appearances that are either not or are unlikely to make the Hall of Fame. McNabb is the only guy to appear in multiple covers in the same year. Also of note, 7 athletes were on a cover without ever making a pro bowl in their careers: Brad Muster, Pat Terrell, Gordon Laro, Chris Zorich, Albert Fontenot, William Floyd, and Peyton Hillis (Hillis was the only one to be the primary cover athlete).

We didn't see the first cover athlete until 1985 with Roger Craig. They didn't really become standard until the early to mid-90s after Madden became a big selling point for the early Madden games. The dip in the last 2 decades is because there's just less games, so any generic football games will have a large effect.

The Early Days: 1965-1982

1978: Football! for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 was the first football video game with a cover, but obviously the cover athletes are generic.

The 2D Era: 1983-1996

1985: NFL Challenge was the first football game with a real cover athlete (Roger Craig). This was the original bar for realism in football simulation, to where it was used in a 1988 ESPN Program \"NFL Dream Season\" where they simulated the greatest teams of all time against each other.
1988: John Madden Football released on the Apple II, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64/128 (partly being developed by Bethesda), which was the beginning of the most dominant franchise in football video games. They featured no NFL teams due to a lack of an NFL license.
1991: Tecmo Super Bowl is probably still my personal favorite football video game. It's totally timeless, and if you pick the Raiders then you're a cheater.

The Parity Era: 1997-2004

1997: NFL Blitz came from Midway studios and was a breath of fresh air for football games. They had mostly been stagnant trying to hone in on realistic simulation in 2D form, whereas Blitz came out in 3D and threw realism out the window. I definitely spent too much money on the arcade version of this game.
2000: Madden 2001 started the tradition of having their games feature a cover athlete in this format, which consolidated into nearly everyone following this trend.
2001: Backyard Football 2002 was a more kid-friendly version of a football video game, and they also had other games for other professional sports. I definitely played this a lot on my old Windows Me computer, and Pablo Sanchez is a god.
2002: NFL Fever was Microsoft's foray into football video games on the original Xbox. All 3 of their games featured Peyton Manning as the cover athlete.

2004: ESPN NFL 2K5 was the last great football game before the NFL exclusively gave their license to the EA. It was this game that definitely led to NFL's decision though, as they slashed their release price to an unheard of $20, which forced Madden 2004 to release at $30 instead of the typical $50. This pissed off the NFL, who decided to have less competition instead.

The Madden Era: 2005-Present

2005: NFL Street 2 was the second in the NFL Street series as a kind of spiritual successor to NFL Blitz. EA tried to have some diversity in their football video games outside of the Madden franchise, so they had the short-lived Street franchise under \"EA BIG\"
2006: NFL Head Coach was a new perspective on NFL Games where you play as the coach instead of the players. I enjoyed these although they could get a little boring.
2007: All Pro Football 2K8 was 2K's attempt at keeping the 2K football franchise alive without the coveted NFL license. They got three HoF players on the cover in Elway, Barry, and Rice, but not the actual license to any NFL team. This game received praise for its mechanics, but poor sales showed that a non-NFL licensed game would always struggle to make it.
2011: Madden 12 was maybe the last good Madden game. Also, Peyton Hillis. The only guy on a NFL football game cover to never make a Pro Bowl. This guy is an actual hero though, so good for him.
2019: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football was a mix of american and CFL football as another attempt at making a football game without the NFL license to poor results. They have announced a new game as a free to play title on new platforms, but no games in this franchise have released since 2020.
2020: Retro Bowl is a mobile game more in the style of Tecmo Super Bowl than Madden. It's probably the most successful non-Madden game since ESPN NFL 2K5, and it's pretty fun. People should definitely give this one a try since it's free to play on any mobile platform.
2022: Madden 23 gave the cover back to Madden for the first time since 1999 to honor the passing of the legend John Madden. Unfortunately the game inside the cover was crap, has been the style of Madden games for over a decade.

Confetti achieved! After 13 years in and out of colleges because of untreated ADHD and working 2 low wage jobs at a time, I’ve finally finished. Always thought it just wasn’t possible for me to learn, and so I drove a school bus for many years and worked in restaurants, absolutely hating life. I couldn’t concentrate on 1 task more than 10 minutes without feeling like my head would explode from getting agitated. But once properly diagnosed and treated, I realized I CAN focus, and that I could knock out multiple courses in a week!
I hope people who are not on certain meds won’t feel down about themselves when reading about people who finish in 6 months or 1 year… In my experience, it’s likely these people are single with no kids, work part time, and/or take specific medication.
I transferred in 23 credits from previous universities (actually had around 60 but many were irrelevant because I’ve switched majors so many times), 7 from study.com (SDC), 10 from sophia, and 4 for the coursera google IT cert which allowed me entry into the school. I HIGHLY recommend doing courses on Sophia prior to your start date at WGU, some I completed in hours.
Overall could have finished sooner, but for a few months got stuck on the Software II project.. an absolute monstrosity. My ADHD could NOT, and at the time I couldn’t go back on Ritalin to help get me through. So I switched from Software Development to Information Technology and got back on track knocking out 1 course every 2 weeks. These latter courses were more challenging, hence taking 2 weeks to complete. The easier courses can be done in 1 week or less if you have the time, attention span, and motivation.
I may have finished fast, but WGU is in NO WAY easier than traditional brick and mortar schools. I’ve been to several B&M schools and have close friends who attended big name schools. The difference is that WGU removes time restrictions and allows you to freely move at your own pace. The tasks are still just as large and challenging, but without time restraints you can absolutely blaze through with the right motivation in your veins.. Caffeine, dopamine, etc, you get the point. Just keeping it real.
Tips:
  1. Before starting every course, google the course code + wgu reddit, “C850 wgu reddit”. You will find great quizlets and tips
  2. Use Quizlet to study for OA’s (objective assessment/final exam). Only time I open the course material is if it were a certification I’m studying for
  3. Do the minimum the assignment asks for and submit it. If it needs revision, the evaluator will send it back outlining exactly what you need to add to it
  4. Choose the order you want to take your courses in. I never let the mentor decide for me
  5. If working on a complex project that is hurting your brain, keep scheduling live instructor support sessions and they will walk you through it. Or, if it’s just too painful, switch majors like I did and carry on towards the finish line
Now working on the Master’s in Information Technology Management! Wish I'd known about the Accelerated Master’s in Information Technology Management because you get both the Bachelor’s and Master’s without having to take an additional 4 or so courses. The Master’s will really help in your job search. As only a Bachelor’s student at the time, I got an internship at a big company after 6 months of applying to over 200 jobs. All of my friends who went to well-known local schools got an internship after applying to just 1-10 jobs, or by just stumbling into their school career fair. But they pay wayyyy more in tuition, and takes them a solid 3 or 4 years since they can't freely complete and submit assignments like we can at WGU.
WGU is almost free, that's how great the tuition is. If eligible for pell grant, you'll only need to pay a few hundred dollars for tuition each term which can be covered with federal student loans OR one of the many scholarships WGU has. Compare that to $30,000 a year at a B&M school.
My life has now changed forever because I was finally able to afford a degree and complete it in a reasonable amount of time. No more working low wage jobs and living in poverty. Thank you WGU!!
And good luck to anyone just starting out at WGU! You are in the right place. I can assure you of that.

IWas wondering if y'all had any advice to improve, and overall just what your thoughts are on me!
I'll be putting my projected GPA for 11th and 12th grade, and will be going more conservative in that regard. So I'm going to assume B's in smth like AP Lang or French IV, for example.
So the website I'm using is "https://gpacalculator.net/high-school-gpa-calculato" to calculate my unweighted and weighted gpa. Each semester represents a year. And yes, I'm expecting 12th grade to have such high gpa, since it's all gonna be lab sciences (except for 1 which is an advanced humanities course, i put a B+ for that once even though it's prob an easy A, incase it's a hard class)
I believe for an A+ the calculator gives 4.33, and for honors courses it gives +.5 instead of +1. Whatever tho.

- One of our admins who heads Clubs and Activities is a very holistic person, and I can confidently say the letter she can write to colleges (like she already did, again, to the internship) will be comprehensive and detailed. Very assured she'll write great things for college.
- I also have an interesting relationship with my english teacher. Taught me since 7th garde, knows how I've grown in an area I'm pretty bad in. And he's an english teacher. Probably will be a good one.
Chancing LORs aren't rlly reliable tho, so i'll give my chancing for LOR as "above average"
List: T25, Georgia Tech as an out-of-state, UC Berkely/LA, yk the usual. UCLA would be pretty fun to get into. UT Austin is also on the table definitely since I like the place.
Idk I don't like spending my life running on the tails of colleges, I want to develop as a person and have a strong connection with my fam. So I probably won't do crazy things that take too much of my time. Most of my effort is gonna be martial arts, the fam, and my own personal growth.
Essays: Probably will write em well. I have some unique ideas with my crazy life experiences lol. Drafted some and have good feedback.

Somehow, this has never really been discussed much (or ever). But since the show is over now and all we have is time to look back and discuss stuff, I thought I'd dive into this topic.
The objective here is not to figure out how old Thawne is physically. Between his many deaths and resurrections, timeline changes, time spent in Limbo, change in body, speed-healing and what-not, that's a fool's errand. I'm talking about his age experientially.
So here goes:
  1. First let's nail down his birth year, which is surprisingly easy to do. In Season 1, Eobard mentions being born '136 years from now [2015]'. Since the number was pretty specific, I'd say its accurate, and that Thawne was born in the year 2151.
  2. The next event in Thawne's life for which we have some definitive chronological placement is when he first meets the Flash. In Armageddon, Thawne says that he meets the Flash 'nearly 2 centuries from now [2021]'. In 9x10, Barry recalls how Thawne says they meet '170 from now'. Okay, let's take the 170 years number since that's more specific (though how did Barry arrive at it, since we never hear Thawne mention it on-screen?). The question is - 170 years from when? From the year 2000, where Barry and Thawne currently are? Or from the early 2020's (2021 to be exact, since that's when Wellsobard mentioned the 'nearly 2 centuries from now' bit)? Well - if we take 2000 as our starting point, that would mean Thawne first met the Flash in 2170 when he was 19 years old! If we take 2021 as our starting point, Thawne first met the Flash in 2191, when he was around 40 years old! I think the latter makes a lot more sense so I'll go with that.
  3. Thawne became the Reverse-Flash and spent years battling the Flash. We don't know how many years that is, because all this involved time-travel. It could have been 5 years or 10 years or even longer. I'm gonna take a random guess here and go by Matt Letscher's age when he first filmed those flashbacks to Nora Allen's murder - 45. You can give or take a few years of course, but I think it's a reasonable assumption. So Thawne is around 45 when he discovers Barry's identity, travels back to kill him as a child, kills Nora Allen instead, ends up trapped in the past, and assumes the identity of Harrison Wells.
  4. Thawne spends 15 years as Harrison Wells, from 2000 to 2015, before Eddie shoots himself and he's erased from existence. So by the time Thawne is 'erased' (actually sent into the Negative Speed Force, as we later learn), he's around 60.
  5. We don't know how much time passes for Thawne before he shows up in Crisis on Earth X. It could be years later for him, or it could be no time at all. We're talking a time-traveler who's been in Limbo after all. So I'm assuming it was no time at all, and Thawne is still around 60, again, give or take a couple of years. Now, at some point, Thawne is imprisoned in Iron Heights, using Cicada's dagger, in 2034. Again, we don't know how much time after COEX that was. Let's assume, at bare minimum, it was almost immediately after. Thawne then spends 15 years imprisoned in Iron Heights before he meets Nora West-Allen and manipulates her into manipulating the timeline. So Thawne is at least 75 in Season 5 (possibly a few years older).
  6. Again, we don't know what happens to Thawne after he gets out of Iron Heights due to the timeline change (which also seems to de-age him?). It seems though that his body was destroyed after COIE, and he becomes negative tachyons who try to possess Nash. We have no way of telling how much time has passed for him given all this. Eventually he gets resurrected by the Speed Force to help fight Godspeed. So I'd peg his age as being still around 75, maybe a few years more, through all this. But then things get weird with Armageddon. It's unclear exactly what Thawne does, but it seems he created an alternate timeline where he got struck by lightning in 2013 instead of Barry and became the Flash. Now did Thawne just warp reality to make everyone think that, or did he literally live an extra 18 years in that timeline as the Flash (remember, he's in 2031 when he's about to marry Iris)? If we assume he did, that makes him around 93 by the end of Armageddon, and also when he later returns and has his final death as the Negative Speed Force avatar. And of course, when he returns again briefly in the series finale.
  7. So to sum up, Thawne is at least 93 (and probably in his mid-to-late 90's...maybe even over a hundred) by the end of the show. And we basically get to see him across 50ish years of his life - the youngest Thawne we see, in 2x11, was probably in his early 40's, and Wellsobard in Season 1 was around 60.
  8. As for the Flashpoint Thawne - well, he's 45 in Flashpoint and probably around that age when he fights the Legends. He then spends years working for the time-wraiths before his death in LoT Season 7 and his resurrection and return in Flash Season 8. We don't know how many years, but I'm gonna go by Letscher's real age and assume it was something like 6-7 years later (plus the year he spends living as an amnesiac Eobard with Meena), and he's in his early 50's by the time he dies.
Summary
Original Thawne/Wellsobard
Age 40 - Becomes a speedster, is upstaged by the Flash before his public debut and turns against his idol, starts time-traveling and discovers his destiny to become the Reverse-Flash.
Age 40+ - Time travels to 2016 in a bid to discover the Flash's time period of origin, and encounters the Flash and his team.
Age 40-45 - Has numerous encounters with the Flash across time.
Age 45 - Discovers the Flash's true identity and travels back to 2000 to kill Barry as a child but ends up killing Nora instead and is stuck in the past. Assumes the identity of Harrison Wells.
Age 58-60 - Engineers the particle accelerator explosion, and ensures that Barry becomes the Flash. Mentors him while regaining his speed in a bid to return home. Ultimately erased from existence (and banished into the Negative Speed Force) when Eddie shoots himself.
Age 60+ - Re-emerges from the Speed Force and teams up with Dark Arrow and Overgirl on Earth X. Later travels to 2034 and is captured and imprisoned in Iron Heights using Cicada's dagger.
Age 75 - Meets Nora West-Allen and manipulates her into traveling to 2019 and changing the past to facilitate his escape. His physical form is later destroyed after COIE due to unknown circumstances.
Age 75+ - As a stream of negative tachyons, attempts to possess Nash Wells but fails. Later is resurrected by the Speed Force to fight Godspeed. After being beaten effortlessly by Barry, he uses the Still Force to start manipulating reality and stealing Barry's life.
Age 75-93: Travels back to 2013 in the new Armageddon timeline, is struck by lightning and becomes the Flash, and also Iris' lover. Spends the next 18 years as the Flash.
Age 93+: The Armageddon timeline is undone. Thawne travels to 2021 seeking Team Flash's help as he's being erased from existence. His connection to the Speed Force is severed to save him and he's imprisoned on Lian Yu. Later, he's resurrected again after taking over the boy of Flashpoint Thawne but is overwhelmed by the Negative Speed Force and dies. Briefly resurrected again by Cobalt Blue, before disappearing into Limbo again.
Flashpoint Thawne
Age 45 - Stopped from killing Nora Allen and imprisoned in the alternate Flashpoint timeline in 2016. Later travels back to 2000 again with Barry to kill Nora and restore the timeline.
Age 45+ - Due to being a time remnant of a person who was erased from existence, he's pursued by time wraiths, as he puts together the Legion of Doom in a bid to gain the Spear of Destiny and rewrite reality. He fails and is ultimately captured by the wraiths.
Age 46-51: Works for the time wraiths as the guardian of a fixed point, namely the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
Age 51+: Encounters the Legends and is killed helping them. Resurrected as an amnesiac and transported to the year 2021 where he applies for a job at Fast Track Labs with Meena Dhawan.
Age 52+: Encounters Team Flash, becomes a speedster and dawns the Reverse-Flash suit, and ultimately killed when Original Thawne takes over his body.

I hate it so much and I'm so lost cus I feel like whatever I try they just won't go away.
from a distance my skin looks pretty clear but up close I have all these tiny bumps, mainly in my forehead.
last picture is from about 6 months ago when I also had some closed commodones, I tried to fix them with skincare but I feel like it only became worse.
I always try to make sure the products I use are non comedic
products I use AM: 10% niacinamide serum, balea med moisturizer PM: balea peeling cleanser OR La Roche Posay effaclar cleanser, benzac benzoylperoxide gel (only on forehead & cheeks), La Roche Posay night moisturizer
I sometimes use Eliza Jones hyaluronic acid cream as moisturizer
1x a week I use The Ordinary AHA and BHA peeling mask.
