My first crush was actually my best friend. He was a short and cutely pudgy boy with hazel eyes I used to get lost in if we are being honest. My so called friends begged to be the ones to tell me. They looked giddy and raced to me hoping to be the first to say it but they seemed upset I wasn't bothered. I was thankful that I could finally go back to being friends with my Ex and start a new relationship.
Things did not go this way, instead my parents discovered I was Gay by going through my phone. They were cold towards me and I was really emotional. I took solace in spending time with him and my ex. But they seemed to hit it off and bonded. Soon enough he distanced himself from me and was honestly cruel. But they seemed to be leaving me behind.
I accepted that the two of them got together despite how much it hurt to my core. I never confessed so I bit my tongue when they would talk about each other in a loving way. Soon enough my life felt like it was crumbling around me.
My so called friends treated me like the Meg Griffin of the group, my parents acted differently with me because of.my discovered sexuality, I was overwhelmed in the school work the all.my honors classes and ROTC gave me. The worst part was watching my crush happy without me.
I figured maybe I could talk to him.abkut my situation (not about my crush but the whole parental situation) I remember we used to talk about our problems together. He would tell me about his alcoholic dad or how nobody liked him and bullied him during our middle school days. I recall trying to prove to him that he was worth being around and that he shouldn't think about wanting to kill himself. I said I would always be his shoulder to cry on.
I started to talk about the situation with my parents with him, hoping to hear some words to help me keep going. Instead he was cruel, talking to.me.like I was beneath him. He told.me how.i.needed to grow up and stop crying to other people about petty problems. He talked about how.if I wasn't such a pussy people would actually like me. The tears fell from my eyes and my heart felt like it was going to give out on me.
My parents don't really believe in therapy, believing that you should just "not let it get to you" so in my worst state I had nobody to turn to. Instead of.goving up though I decided to make a change.
Reaching high school.i came out as openly gay, fighting my parents with lipstick and nail polish while distancing myself from the toxic friend group. I became a completely different person and lost interest in either my crush or my ex. In the end they married after eight years and I have grown into my True self.
My parents finally giving in to the fact I won't change. I would be lying of I said we had the same relationship but it is ok for now. I would say that that moment hurt me and made me shut my heart out to people. That is something I truly regret from.the situation.
I would say to anyone who is going through this just remember that not everything that glitters is gold. Sometimes you pick up false gold but that doesn't mean to give up because eventually you will find what you are looking for. You will find the one but love takes time.

Mostly when I hear people talk politics in EDH it's goes something along the lines of, "If you do X for me, then I will do Y for you", and this betrays not only a naivety as to how politics are handled in the real world during wartime, but a lack of imagination as to how you can leverage the social elements of EDH. So here are a few ways that you can play the political game in EDH without being so explicit:

1. Maintain the tables understanding of the current board state. EDH is a complex game and not every player will recognize the brewing threats you might. By discussing the pieces that enter the table, or spells like tutors and card draw that have been cast, as well as their potential consequences, you can ensure that people will better assess your other opponents threats. Of course, this is propaganda, and so while you will also need to maintain the tables awareness of your board in order to be successful, you can downplay your board and threats, simply stating what each piece explicitly does, but giving no further hint as to how they fit into your plan over the next turns. At minimum, this helps players not to clearly bugger their threat assessment, but the potential to influence the table in small ways here can be very effective.
   
2. Bide your time. The Rusty nail gets the hammer, or something. Basically, weigh your options before advancing your board state. Has 0 removal or interaction been played yet and people have left mana open? Maybe just play your extra ramp, leave up some interaction, and wait for someone else to be the first lamb to the slaughter. There is a certain smell in the air before shit goes down so it can help to wait for the right moment.
   
3. Ask questions. This goes along similar lines as 1, but asking your opponents questions can do a lot to direct your other opponents aggression. How many cards have you drawn? How many times have you tutored? Is that a combo piece? Do you run this combo? Your opponents can answer truthfully, or they can lie, or they can refuse to answer, and all three options carry the possibility of them drawing aggro. At best, they effectively downplay everything, which is part of the game, but having the answer come from your opponent can be huge as asking questions is a pretty neutral thing to do at the table.

I never replay games. I’m more of a one and done it kind of guy, but something about ATB’s gameplay and story compelled me to play it not once, not twice, but four times at the time of writing. It certainly helps that the game is short (although I think the universal praise of The Outer Wilds demonstrates that this isn’t a bad thing).
My latest playthrough clocked in at ~35 minutes at the time of writing in order to get the Toot Sweet achievement. Ironically, this exact pursuit of achievements led me to get the Librarian achievement and, ultimately, finally read all the story notes chronologically.
Notwithstanding, ATB is a nauseatingly haunting game on harder difficulties. The monster is deadly, the resources are scarce, the tone is grim, and the darkness encompasses it all. Above all of this, the story is worth telling and I posit that the game’s genre, coupled with the Amnesia brand being notoriously terrifying if PewDewPie is to be believed, will prevent a lot of people from playing it. That’s such a shame.
Without further obfuscation, I want to encourage you to play the game; immerse yourself in its world and discover its truth for yourself. Your appreciation for the story will only compound the more time you spend stalking the halls of the unnamed bunker it takes place in.

ATB’s story begins before the player ever takes control of the protagonist, Henri Clemont, a Soldier in the French Army at the Battle of Pozieres during World War I.
April 1916 – Toussaint Beaufoy – What Could Be Worse than War?
On 2 April, 1916, Henri’s embattled unit receives orders to dig their bunker deeper so that their chain of command can laud it as a symbol of French patriotism and eventual victory in the war.
The calamity of World War I, having already wrought havoc on the bodies and minds of Henri’s unit, is only intensified by these foolhardy orders. This bunker is destined to become “a rancid, stinking pit. A void, a hole. Full of men, scared and confused.”
Eight days later, on 10 April, Henri’s compatriot, Toussaint Beaufoy, pens a poem We Whirl the World that reflects on the grim events of the war and foreshadows the events of the game.

Henri’s unit begins digging and on 30 April, another soldier, Alex Noyer, extrapolates on why the unit has been ordered to dig: the bunker lay atop Roman ruins that extend towards the German lines. The command wants to use these prebuilt tunnels to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. However, Noyer’s interest lay more in the archaeological significance of the dig.
With the dig well underway, the other soldiers begin to experience haunting symptoms. Notably, Beaufoy, who witnesses some horror on the night of 5 May, that shatters his psyche. He refuses to discuss what he witnessed with anybody, yet he revels in it; “I want to go back to that place. I want to feel that way. I want the violence and the ecstasy and the pitch-black darkness.”
May 1916 - Alex Noyer’s Journal - Digging Up a Dark Secret
A week later (9 May), Noyer is presented with archaic texts uncovered during the digging. He begins to read them and discovers the texts are not of typical Roman writings. Rather, the texts are religiously significant repeating the phrase “to cross into darkness and beyond.”
These texts originated from a people that believed they found the key to immortality, a blessing bestowed upon them from some “other world… dominated by darkness… ruled by something…” These damned texts went on to describe this world as “full of spirits, monsters and that the air there was endlessly alive with cries of torment and the sickly rattle of souls near death.”
The tunnels that the men were digging were used by this ancient people as a portal to this “pagan hell.”
This manifested in our world as the need for the followers to commit sickening acts that appealed to the primal instincts of humanity; “blood orgies, of sadistic spirits, of the awful things these men and women would do to each other in worship of darkness” and a magical liquid that would grant the believer’s immortality in darkness.
Noyer enters the tunnels sometime on 14 May, and discovers more of the cursed history of the tunnels. “The Romans used these tunnels to hold sadistic bacchanals, great festivals of cruel combat, torture and worse... held in an arena over a great pit.” His command writes him off as paranoid, and Noyer resolves to enter the tunnels.
On 25 May, Noyer is recovered after screaming in the damp excavation sight until his vocal cords were annihilated – alive but utterly terrified.
June 1916 - Farber - Am I Out of Touch? No, It’s the Soldiers Who Are Wrong.
Noyer warns his brother-in-arms about the texts and truth of the ruins they are excavating. As the truth and panic spread, the Command begins punishing those who speak of the more sinister presence that is permeating the halls of the bunker.
Throughout the month of May, the soldiers are gripped with a waking terror that seeps into their dreams, all the while having to fight a war notorious for its brutality. Noyer writes, “we’re stuck between the Germans in front of us, high command behind us, and some other horrible force that seems to lurk in shadows all around us. I fear we are now truly beyond God’s reach.”
Rumors of the truth that Noyer uncovered begin to spread amongst the men. Despite taking the assertions of the malevolent presence seriously, the command chooses to contain the panic through force.
Incensed by Noyer’s ominous warnings, a rebellion is formed on 28 May with a soldier only known as “Farber” at its helm. The mission is simple: contain the evil of the tunnels by sabotaging the digging efforts with a cave in. Farber notes that each of the five recruits is exceptionally eager to end the waking nightmare, particularly Beaufoy.
Their efforts are successful and the soldiers experience a brief abatement from the ever-present fear, only to be discovered and subsequently tortured by their Commanding Officers, Reynard and Delpy. None are spared the persecution, save for Beaufoy, who is presumed to have been killed in the blast that undoes the dig. The last thing any other soldier saw of him was Beaufoy telling them he had “other work to do,” whilst pointing to his own eyes.
Despite the ordeal, no participant reveals Farber as the mastermind, and Farber is forever indebted to the brotherhood.
The officers of the unit do four things in the wake of this unthinkable act of insubordination: (1) abandon the tunnel, (2) punish the conspirators, (3) send the remaining men on dangerous combat patrols and (4) order more wine. No lesson learned, no warning heed.
Of minor note, on the evening of 30 June, after one such combat patrol, a German prisoner is captured. Small recompense for the men routinely thrown into the meat grinder of enemy machine guns and command tribunals.
July 1916 – Henri Clément – Buddy Fucker with a Conscious
Another such raid is ordered on 8 July, and Henri has a plan to not go. Henri and his best friend, Augustin Lambert, decide that the winner of a game of chance will not have to risk their life this evening and the other will go in their friend’s place. Henri cheats, rationalizing it as a harmless prank, condemning Lambert to endure the battlefield once more. Henri is sure Lambert will return, unscathed, and cannot wait to see the look on his face when he learns what Henri did.
Only, Lambert doesn’t return. As the dusk of 8 July turns into dawn, Henri is wrought with guilt. He resolves to recover his friend. It is here, that the player finally takes control of the protagonist.
Henri discovers Lambert at the bottom of a pit. Not a crater from artillery, a borderline incomprehensibly large depression. Henri makes his way down and renders aid to his battered, but alive, compatriot. Henri gathers water from the pit, and nurses his friend before they attempt to escape.

Patrol Report – 10 July 1916
Odd occurrences last night. Sdt. Lambert, thought dead after his patrol on the 8th, returned to the barracks in fine health. He carried with him Sdt. Clément – severely wounded from an explosion.
Lambert reports the following:
-That midway through his patrol on the 8th he fell into a deep crater and was unable to escape.
-Clément, his close friend, snuck out after him last night, located him in the crater, and carried him out.
-They were spotted and in the ensuing attack, Clément was injured by an explosion. It fell on Lambert to carry him back.
Very odd that Lambert was neither injured from the fall nor the explosion AND that he ended up saving the man who came to save him.
But battlefield luck is an odd thing. In every life, fate’s winds blow erratic.
Judging by Lambert’s description, the crater he fell into seems to have been located very close to the Roman tunnels we unearthed. It may have been a result of work down there.
Recommend a future patrol to investigate and make sure we have not opened a backdoor into our own bunker.

Henri remains comatose for ten(?) days.
July 1916 – Augustin Lambert – The Nightmare Is Only Beginning
Lambert, having dodged death, reflects on the events of his ill-fated patrol. His loss of hope at the bottom of the inescapable pit, and the angelic reprieve he received from Henri. He notes how the water Henri nursed him with “was cool and crisp, with a strange, sweet taste. Never has water felt more nourishing than that, administered by a dear friend’s hand.”
Despite surviving, Lambert’s survival is dampened by the loss of a toy he bought for his son – the toy he believes to be in the pit where he almost lost his life.
Lambert grows stronger by the day. However, with Lambert’s return, so do the haunts that plagued his fellow Soldiers. Scratching at the walls and an overt ghostly howling emanates throughout the halls at night.
July 1916 – Stéphane Joubert – Oh Yeah, The Murders.
The first to fall Reynard on 15 July. Hardly a loss after his treatment of the soldiers, but certainly a catalyst for even further distrust.
Stéphane Joubert, another officer, reflects on the evening of the murder in his journal. He had heard a commotion in the hallway, but assumed it be Reynard drunk on his secret stash of wine. No one was aware anything was wrong until they heard the screaming. He is concerned for the harshness in which his fellow officers treat the men, particularly in the wake of this death.
The remaining officers interrogate the men, after all, a murderer was so clearly amongst them.
Paranoia grips the men, who are the prime suspects due to their contempt for Reynard. But the brutality and sadistic nature of the murder was beyond the pale? The autopsy read:

Body of Sgt. Reynard.
Multiple lacerations. Chest cavity torn to shreds. Every rib cracked. Skull cracked open by repeated blunt force trauma.
Who could have done this to him?

Amid the violence, Farber, driven mad by the resurgence of the haunting presence, resolves to kill it himself to atone for being the only man left unpunished for the tunnel sabotage. When the evil presence, emboldened by the murder of Reynard, returns, Farber is there. He shoots the Beast and it retreats into the shadows.
But it did not forget. It returned ten minutes later and pulled Farber into the wall, “screaming… praying for salvation.”
The men note something familiar about the Beast as it continues to hunt them; like it knows who they are.
The officers abandon the men, escaping and blowing the entrance to the bunker behind them – condemning the soldiers to evisceration by an unkillable force. Joubert, the only bastion of morality amongst the officers, is among the escapees all the same He leaves the men one chance at salvation.

Fournier, our commanding officer!, cowers next to me now. He’s lost his mind to an abyss of fear…
He wants to run, to blow up the exit behind him.. Sealing the demon down here… The demon AND our men.
His constant refrain, it is getting to me… and that same void of terror… it is also overtaking me.
To any of my men who see this: once we’re free of this place, I will get the arsenal code from him. I will get it and I will radio it back to you.
Trapped down here with that beast, the arsenal may be your only hope. It’s all I can do. All I have courage to do…
Get to the communications room in the Soldier Quarters. Hide there. I’ll broadcast the code to you.

The men, responded to such hollow words:

The officers have abandoned us! They ran from the beast and blew the exit closed behind them. Even Joubert…
They called us cowards and traitors and worse… Hypocrites. Now they’ve doomed us.
Whatever hell we suffer now, it is on them. God will punish them for what they’ve done.

July 1916 – Henri Clément – The Game Begins
The game begins with Henri awakening in the hospital bed from comatose state. He doesn’t remember the past, but that’s why we have spent about 2400 words going over that. The gameplay of Amnesia is self-explanatory – gather resources, avoid the monster, escape.
In order to accomplish this goal Henri has several sub objectives that, for convenience, we’ll cover in two parts: Get the Dynamite and Get the Detonation Handle. This isn’t a walk through, every playthrough of the game is different, but you learn the fates of several characters through extrapolating on the relationship between the notes and the game itself. Play the game and get stalked by the monster for the horror experience.
Get the Dynamite (Located in the Armory):
· Located in the armory, Henri first needs to retrieve a code to unlock said armory. The code, you recall, Joubert promised to broadcast to the soldiers. After solving the daisy chain issue in the Soldier’s Quarters and finding the requisite key, Henri makes his way to the communication room. Joubert is true to his word, he is still broadcasting the code. Henri can now retrieve the dynamite.
Get the Detonator Handle (Located in the Tunnels):
· First order of business is to recover a ratchet wrench that allows access into the Prisoner Control room in the Prison section of the bunker. The wrench is in Foreman Stafford’s locker, but you’ll have to find the code. Henri discovers that Stafford made his way to the Bunker’s Pillbox as a means of escape. However, the Pillbox is locked with the only key being in the bunker’s Chapel. Henri makes his way to the chapel to uncover an unholy display of twisted bodies – an achievement pops up revealing this is the Beast’s nest. In the confessional, Henri discovers the priest (otherwise insignificant to the story) nailed to the wall. He recovers the key and returns to the Pillbox. At the top, Stafford is there, a bullet through the eye from an enemy sniper – a grim reminder that you’re still fighting a war.
· The wrench is to help gain access to the Captured German Prisoner’s cell, left abandoned; Geneva Convention be damned. What we want in the cell is a pair of bolt cutters that had been used to torture the prisoner. Opening his cell alerts the monster, whom promptly murders the poor prisoner (although there is a slightly happier disposition in which you retrieve the bolt cutters before the Beast gets to him – are you quick enough to save his life? Do you even want to?)
· The bolt cutters grant access to the chained-shut tunnels. The haunted tunnels. The Pagan Hell. Ghostly apparitions due exist down here skulking the fog teasing you with the evil you’ve read so much about. Impossible rock formations alongside Roman statues and columns, this place is truly unearthly. But then you hear a voice, the first voice you’ve heard since the prisoner you couldn’t understand died. “We whirl the world…” Its Beaufoy, whom has gouged his own eyes out and roams the fog with a shotgun and homicidal intent – still more work to do. He will kill you, so you must put your fellow soldier down. Is it better this way? At least that shotgun is yours now *finger guns*.
· If you explore a little more, after finding the detonator handle, you’ll find a small tunnel that leads to the pit. The pit the game began in, the pit with the small rabbit toy Lambert lost. Shit, what happened to Lambert?
You retreat to the beginning of the game. Hook up the dynamite and blow it. Make your way to escape. You find yourself at a grand arena above a bottomless pit. With the Beast standing between you and salvation. Is there really a boss battle in this game? Winning it reveals the final truth.
Lambert is the monster. Your best friend, corrupted by the water you nursed into him to save his life. Presenting the toy to him prior to the final battle when he tries to kill you causes him to take it, run to his fucked-up chapel nest, and place it on a pedestal. There is still humanity there, and that’s why he recognized those he killed.
But this is a grand arena over a great pit, and losers go into the pit. Use the toy to hold the monster up on the destructible bridges and, while he plays with it, blast the bridge itself – pulling the literal floor out from underneath him – eternal darkness awaits.
Now flee, make your way to salvation. You see sunlight. You breach the rocks and roll down a slope into a pit of dead comrades. At least you’re free of that beast.
As you bask in the light you hear “SCHNELL, SCHNELL” and searchlights beginning to scan where you just fell from.
Fuck, you’re still in a war.
A grotesquely unsettling story of overcoming shitty circumstances and still losing. What’s that like an 8? Probably an 8.

Love the game, love that you nailed 40k atmosphere and lore perfectly and everything seems top notch, but I don't think the combat system guy really gets 40k as well as the graphics/writing teams do.
THIS IS WARHAMMER 40K! Why are you making me waste my time giving +5% to this stat or a -3 to something else as a combat action? Why is that crap even in the game?
Instead learn from games like X-Com that let encounter and combat-system design play out in an elegant, tight way, where you're always in the flow of it, with special actions being FEW, but each action being SUBSTANTIAL.
Another game to take a look at is "Shadowrun: Dragonfall", which did it excellently also (one of the best crpgs ever made). The combat system is TIGHT and not over-done, despite there being a very deep character progression system.
Characters don't need 400 skills each, they don't need to level up every 2 minutes, KEEP IT TIGHT and simple. Let the combat system work for me, to give me a fun game. Don't make me work for the combat system and fucking hate it.
Remove every single skill that isn't substantial and you'll end up with much nicer, smoother gameplay.

Now some particular peeves:
2) The clue system - unnecessary.
There's no point in activating a perliminary action that does nothing just to then click some more to activate what you actually wanted to do. If a character has learned a skill for lowering enemy dodge, just let them use an action and do it. Pointless, that whole clue system.

3) Marskman double-fire is not just very strong, you use it automatically every turn, so it's redundant mouse clicking.
There's no point having skills that are so much better than anything else that you automatically use them every turn. If you want marksmen to shoot-run-shoot, then just make it a learned class feature instead of something you, again, have to pointlessly click to activate every single turn.

4) Leader class --- REMOVE. It makes no sense.
The rogue trader is the leader. What the F is Cassia doing giving combat "commands" to me and my troops??? That's just retarded, sorry.
Give the rogue trader some interesting leadership skills to learn along the way, that he gets by default regardless of his chosen class. He's the only leader.
Also, fire damage, holy hell. That's ridiculously overpowered. Why is it a special "leader" command to talk people into no longer being on fire?? Just let characters use an AP to "put fire out" on a teammate and give armors some innate resistance to "burning" DoT effect. It's way too much.
Which btw, you can cheese large fights by using a fire grande on the floor and enemies will just rush into it and take damage instantly and then die immediately when their turn starts to the insane DoT.
But anyway, the whole leader class should be cut out

5) Fighter class is not as fun as it could be. It's a suicide bomber class pretty much.
You have to charge around constantly and play tactically to get into cover, sure, but it's not actually fun to move exactly to this weird square just so you could charge 3 squares into that square, etc. It doesn't feel tactical, it feels like a gamey game mechanic.
And with penetration and friendly fire being almost 100 guaranteed, your fighter basically has to be a lone wolf.
The most annoying thing is how with abelard there will be whole combats where would I just have him sit in place and do nothing because he's just gonna get downed almost immediately if he rushes into a group of 15 enemies. BASE BUILDING: AT THE MOMENT TRADERS DO NOT SELL NAILS/FOOD/ARMOR, for a more survival feel we made base building a little more grindy than other servers for a better experience (MOD: BASE BUILDING PLUS), THERE IS NO BUIDLING NEAR PVP ZONES, HIDEOUTS, OR TRADERS (500m from Hideouts/Traders, 300m from PVP zones). Get your grind on and have fun with more of an immersive pvp building system. We have BasicTerritories/PVEZE Flag Zones. You need a flagpole to make a base & you need a flag fully raised on your pole to enable PvP. Since we use PVEZ the flags help in case you need to defend against a raid. The flag also helps keep all your items secure from poofing away. Sadly bases can be raided even with your flag pole lowered. So it’s recommended that you keep your flag pole raised.

PVP ZONES/PVE: All PVP Zones contain either a military spot on the map, or Custom Keycard areas, Custom Key Cards spawn randomly around the map or in airdrops/military bases/bunkers.THERE IS ABSOULETLY NO KILLING OUTSIDE PVP ZONES, what ever damage you afflict on another Survior, that damage will come back to you, this a noob/pve setting of a server so show some respect.
KEYCARDS: There many different keycards you can get but they all are different. Some have different loot, some have mixed loot. Rare keycard rooms give 10x better loot than normal military/bm loot. There Is 2 Red/Black/Violet/Green Rooms. 1 Yellow/Blue/Med Lab/White Rooms.
Right Now The Keycards Ranging From Best To Worst Are Red, Black, Yellow, White, Violet, Green, Blue, Med Laboratory. There will probably be more in the future. Red Keycard Loaded but is suuuper rare.
(NOTE: Right now please don't fly into keycard areas. We recently added helis again and some areas are possible to fly into (AI will probably shoot them down but still we want keycards to be used to access keycard areas. ALSO When you open a keycard room it will stay open until server restart because the loot crates wont reset until after restart)
THE BUNKER: Right now there is currently 1 bunker on the server. You need a White Keycard to enter it & when you enter it turns to total darkness. You'll need a light or nvgs too see anything after entering. This place is worth checking out but be careful of possible chances of Zombies/AI. The bunker is really nice for finding blackmarket items and chances decent/guns/armoammo.
TRAVEL TRADER: We recently added a trader that can change locations and also change what they Buy/Sell! The Travel Trader Can Spawn At Any Keycard Locations (Based On When I Move Them) & Trades Rare Items Other Traders Might Not Sell Or Might Buy/Sell At A Discount!
TRADERS: Traders are all around the map and they only sell certain items there. Very high powered weapons cannot be bought a civ traders, they will most likely be purchasable at Blackmarket or not purchasable at all, you will need to scavenge your way around the map if you want to be the best, there are no handouts. Normal Civ Traders will have the essentials there to survive.
AI/BOSSES: AI spawn at all keycards/hideouts except Blue/Green Keycards. They have a chance to spawn anywhere else. There are 3 Bosses on the server. Killa, Zryachiy, the Goons. Killa spawns at Red/Black/Yellow Keycards. Zryachiy spawns at Prison Island. The Goons can spawn at Red/Black/White/Med Lab. The Goons are the rarest Bosses to run into right now while Killa and Zryachiy are about the same. Killa and Zryachiy can have guards.

Due to a family emergency I ended up with my ex-husbands grannies budgie (long story but im happy to help short or long term!). She's about 8 I hear and has never been handled or left her cage. She's been housed alone in what I think feels like a smallish cage (I have a quaker with a flight cage so I don't know what to expect for budgies). She also ate exclusively millet.
She's terrified, has never had cuttlebone so her beak and nails are quite long I think. I will have her seen by a vet at the next available appointment (they could only schedule for next month since not an urgent need)
What is reasonable? Should I try to tame her? Will she be happier in the same room (not cage) as my quaker or is it best to keep her in the solitude she's used to after 8 years? Best way to transition her to other foods? Any tips in general?

Technology is beginning to raise the population to new heights, and worst of all for the Empire of the Unbent, even beginning to surpass magic in some areas. The Unbent has been at the forefront of the world's magical development for a thousand years, but as any empire that exists for that long has seen, cracks are beginning to form. With the turn of the new age a differing power, a technological superpower founded by gnomes named the Cognizant, has been putting political pressure upon the Unbent, calling them out for their old-fashioned use of magic. Additionally, with revolutions all over the globe ending up with constitutions and figurehead monarchs, civil rights movements have begun to set their eyes on the Unbent for their massive use of slave labor and a canyon-wide divide between quality of life for those who have magical talent and those who do not. All this to say that Magic as a whole, as it is associated with a globally hated empire, is looked down on by the citizens of the world, especially by the upper class of the Cognizant. Everyone knows the Empire of the Unbent is on its way out, and a new age of technology and rights for all those sentient races is coming soon. However, the decline of the Unbent and the political landscape of the Transparent Continent is shaken by earth-shattering news. A pilot operating one of the Cognizant's new flying machines was blown way off course, and came back with news of a huge landmass to the east. The Cognizant tried to keep the news under wraps, but soon the whole Transparent Continent knows: There's a new world to the east. A huge rush for the new world is coming, and everyone knows that the group who does the best work will be able to bend the other states to their will. The Unbent hopes to regain their 1000-year prestige, while the Cognizant hope to use this opportunity to put the final nail in the Unbent's coffin. Many independent groups also are moving, and the new world is set to become a warzone.
So, I have a bit of a story. I'm Sammy (23M), and we actually started this campaign already. It was originally four people, but became two very fast as usually happens with new campaigns. As I'm writing this I have just finished DMing session 1, which ended in a TPK by Dust Bunny. I'm not kidding, I found a monster block for swarms of magical dust bunnies. It was not meant to be a hard encounter, but the dice betrayed the players and empowered the bunnies at every turn. The series of coincidences were astounding. Still, we had fun, and we are taking this opportunity to reset and tell a different story. For that, we need two more players, so here I will extend my hand and welcome all of you to The Transparent Continent.
I also have a warning to all of you before you decide to apply. We at the table decided to go very, very dark with the subject matter as a way for us to enjoy the story. The Empire of the Unbent are basically magic nazis. The war that is happening now in the Transparent Continent is called The War of Reconquest by the Unbent. The Unbent are Magocratic to the extreme, enslaving EVERYONE who isn't at least a little magically talented. There is a WHOLE NATION of rejects from a magical eugenic breeding program on the continent that to this day serves as a vassal slave state for the Unbent. In the FIRST SESSION, we saw Unbent Mages vaporizing surrendering soldiers. All this to say we will be dealing with very serious subject matter, and that we at the table enjoy this type of content as a way to tell a more engaging story.
Aside from that, we're a big gaggle of goofs and we were laughing uproariously as both of our main characters died to Dust Bunnies. We hope that you find our table interesting enough to play at. Here I am, half asleep. It's 12:30am. I'm sealing my bunker and transferring and organizing loot while making sure all doors are shut. Y'know, average rust shit you do right before you log off.
Just got back from a really juicy oil rig run, got 2 airdrops from military crate + elite crates + locked crate. Absolutely filled to the brim with loot.
Now I've been fucking with my neighbors for the better part of the last 3 hours. Stole 2 AK kits from them, killed them farming wood w a chainsaw w a full inventory, etc.
They turned to roofcamping with L96 and that's when things went sour. I started talking shit and calling them roofcamping pussies, basically just run of the mill rust shit talking.
They had their large furnaces pumping for the last hour or two. I knew the raid was coming, but I'm too fuckin tired and need to get some sleep.
As I'm sealing my bunker, I hear ppsh boom ppsh boom. 2 rocketers, 1 on their raid base roofcamping.
I'm pretty fucked, but I make my way to my roof with a SAR kit, making sure to close every single door behind me. Get a quick glance at the raiders, wait for a rocket to get shot, and drop down on to the back side of my base. Silent. Like a ninja.
I drop down to make my stand, I don't have a shooting floor, so gotta take this fight to them. I'm on the ground crouching around and kill 1 rocketer shooting him in the back. Instantly do a 180° and turn around to run around to the other side of my base. Kill the second, but I'm like 5 HP now.
I'm 2/3rds of the way thru winning this raid....then the roofcamper just nails me with L96. I'm fed up.
Killed two, but that fuckin roofcamper. I'm salty as fuck, spawn back in my core, and they're 1 wall away. Still 1 garage door and 1 hqm wall away from bunker core.
I'm silent, just sitting. Watching. Waiting. More importantly, listening. Footsteps all around my base. No signs of counters...yet. My duo partner had just logged, I was not far behind until this raid started.
I was THIS close to just giving up. The bunkers already sealed. I've already been "raided" twice, but they never got into the bunker either time.
I finally hear someone countering, custom smg and SAR shots. The raiders are full metal AK and have a raid base with beds. Counters seemingly win. Chaos breaks out.
Counters get countered, raiders kill a bunch, counters kill some raiders, original counters come back. I'm just sitting in my bunker silently waiting for the right time to make my move.
It's a warzone outside, and it's now or never. I needed to make my move.
I break my twig half wall, busting open my bunker. There's 1 garage door between me and the mayhem outside. I grab a building plan, hammer, and a stack of stone. I open the garage door and hope for the best. Run out but ass naked with a building plan, hammer, stone, and seal the breach.
The raiders are still roofcamping on their raid base, but they were distracted by counters and I was able to have 3 seconds to seal. They immediately shoot my newly placed stone wall.
I built another wall, behind the outer most wall, upgraded that to hqm. Spent the next 5 mins repairing everything, crafted 6 more garage doors to replace the ones that were blown up, and sit around for another 5 mins or so. It's quiet outside.
Ran over to my neighbors base, said ggs. They were so salty. They were blaming the counters. Sure, the counters saved me ass. But I played it clean too. Didn't leave any doors open, sealed efficiently, and killed a few off the rip to buy some more time for counters to show up.
Not really a point to this post, but that was just the most exhilarating moment in rust I've had in a while.
I've only been onlined 3 times in 1.6k hours in rust. It's fuckin awesome, no other game can match the intensity. Heart was beating out of my chest. Mind racing. What a night.
Surely, I'll wake up offlined tomorrow now tho. Drew alooottt of attention to my base, but hey, that's rust. Whoever does choose to offline will have to spend 37 rockets if they raid the most efficient way possible.

Just sharing my experiences buying a pretty-well-known rep from a pretty-well-known TD. I don’t want to call out the TD or make this about a specific factory or model; it’s really more about my general experience of buying a rep.
The good:

• The watch is absolutely beautiful. Really, it looks fantastic. I was concerned about color (so hard to get right) and they nailed it.
• Accuracy, so far, is better than acceptable. Maybe +1s/day when I was checking against my iPhone.
• I have a gen from the brand and I honestly couldn’t point to anything visually or on the wrist that sets the gen above the rep. They look identical in quality and they have the same feel on the wrist.
• the price and value for what you get is really hard to beat. Something like 5% of what it would cost at an AD for a watch that looks exactly like the real thing.

But it doesn’t feel like the real thing in some ways, and buying it was not a great experience.
The meh:

• The bracelet was really hard to adjust and the tolerances seemed off. Screws were hard to release, pins difficult to engage, clasp and links were sticky.
• The stem definitely feels brittle, and with the reputation for being fragile I feel like I need to baby it and hope for the best.
• The whole purchasing process took way too long, I didn’t get the exact color scheme I wanted, and the whole international payments setup is janky.
• Way too much plastic, wrapping material, styrofoam, and disposable packaging.
• QC: it looked fine, but who knows? TBD how long it will run without issues.

And the ugly: The clasp for the rubber strap broke immediately. And by immediately I mean it broke the moment I tried to thread the watch band through the clasp; the pin was poorly attached and broke on contact. And the reaction from the TD was “oh, that’s broken” and no immediate offer of a replacement. $15 on Amazon to get a generic replacement if the TD ghosts me but still, the clasp manufacturing was clearly shoddy.
Will I buy another rep? Maaaaaaybe. Honestly, something Chinese in the same price tier like a San Martin (I have two) feels like it has better QC and wasn’t as much of a PITA to buy. But for how beautiful the watch looks and for the price and for the personal amusement value of a high-end rep, not too bad. I don’t know that having a local AD is worth paying 20x more, but I do know that buying my gen was a much more pleasant experience, they took care of all the fitting and adjustments, could be trusted for service and repair, and just in general didn’t feel like buying stuff from a shady dude behind a convenience store. That said, it’s a beautiful watch for a fraction of the price of the real thing.

First time poster, long time tinkerelurker.
I scored this weird hollowbody recently. The neck was bowed to hell and the electronics were shot. Seems like someone opted to turn it into wall art instead of making it playable - there was a nail through the headstock and a couple screw holes in the back. BUT, it looks rad and these old off-brand guitars are often missing the vibrato arm in my experience, so I say it's a great find for $75. I'm gonna bring this thing back to life.
I got the fretboard off using a putty knife and a clothes iron on the highest setting, then rigged up the ridiculous system in pic #3, put the iron on low, and left it alone all day. It's straight now and the board is back on.
I fixed the crack in the headstock and filled the nail hole with a bit of dowel rod. It's still kind of ugly and the logo is missing anyway, so I'm going to paint the headstock black. Does anyone know what make and model this thing is, btw? My best guess is one of the cheaper Japanese companies from the 60's or 70's, but there are no markings other than the outline of the old logo.
Also, I REALLY like having separate volume and tone for each pickup but I'd hate to cut into that beautiful top to make room. Does anyone have experience with concentric pots? I don't see them much and I'm wondering if they suck. I'm keeping the original pickups unless they sound like ass when I get them working - they look too cool to swap out.
I'd love to hear all your thoughts on this majestic beast.

Hi! I’m going to Japan next month and I am interested in visiting a nail salon and getting cool, trendy nails. I reached out to two different nail salons to make a reservation well in advanced, half expecting at least one of them to already be booked due to popularity. They both reached back to me saying they have availabilities. How do I politely decline one without offending? Maybe I’m just overthinking but I know etiquette is very different in America than it is in Japan and I don’t want to come off flakey.
