I bought a 1986 prelude at the beginning of this year and it has extensive service records, taken great care of by its previous owners but unfortunately i was unlucky and the head gasket recently blew.
Ive had a clutch kit lying around and the engine is nearly removed anyhow with the head and all pipes/tubing removed so i figured i would do a full rebuild and get another 300k out of it.

I got covid back in August of 2021. It hit me like a freight train. I think it damaged my brain. For nearly two years my emotions are just a rollercoaster but I mostly have been dealing with anxiety particularly this feeling of impending doom or pangs of terror trouble sleeping with nightmares hypnic tics and a sudden gasp when I am about to fall asleep(3 sleep studies and an MSLT. Showed nothing).
I have tried zoloft but it did nothing. Therapy hasn't helped.

i've been dating her for 4 months close to 5 months and its an online relationship. i really love her, i've never been so loved by a person, she have anger issue so whenever she gets mad by my goofy behaviour i always try to change myself, i think i've changed myself for her for 3 times, though she try to hold her anger for me eventhough she still gets mad me i always stay calm with it even if i cried myself to sleep after her talking shits bout me, i loved her and i thought she did too. 3-5 day ago she called her male friend darling and wore his belt as a choker she said its normal cuz they're very closed i knew it would end up badly but didn't think much of it and the next day somewhere near afternoon she send 2 min vm telling that she's sorry and that she make out with her male friend. Hello hello, I’ll try my shot in the sea of other posts so here's a (not so) quick rundown on who I am! I am open to almost any age, height and bodytype.
About me:
I am a student studying electrical engineering. Next to my studies I work part-time to pay for rent, food and to keep my car running. I live together with my brother in an apartment in Eindhoven and visit my parents near Arnhem every weekend (I just hate doing laundry).
Personality:
I am a gentle, soft and kind person (and sometimes awkward but who isn't :P ). Like the title says Ihave a goldern retriever personality, I can get very excited on things and can keep talking about it. I mostly like being indoors, but going out to a park, zoo, museum, theme park or even just for drinks/lunch is also super exciting and fun :) I looove cuddling and kisses and just being close and clingy with my other half, especially when it’s just the two of us :3 Overall I am just happy you're part of my life. So I am a Canadian citizen living in Pakistan. We have decided to pack up and leave for Canada (a turn of events, happened suddenly).
I am currently studying in a very well-reputed university in Pakistan and I believe it is accredited since a few people went to UofT in their third year and everything carried over. Similarly, I know someone that went to the University of Alberta in their second year all her credits transferred over.
I am aware that fall admissions are closed. I want to apply for spring. The information is slightly arbitrary among every On unis site. I had a few queries I wanted help with:
1) I am a POL major and have taken mostly general courses such as Intro to Pol, Intro to Comp Pol, Intro to Pol Phil etc. Is it safe to assume I will be getting Credit hours carried over? I have studied 60 CH thus far and even if 60-70% carry over I will be content. The admission office is taking their time so just wanted to know what to expect.
2) I have a pretty crap CGPA, for lack of better words. I am standing at around 2.55 right now. This is mostly because I had math and econ courses that I messed up bad. I have got good grades in courses related to my Major. I will be sending in my A levels (grade 12/13 here, not high school, credits transferred for this too) report which also has great grades save for a D in Econ. Can I make a case in my supplementary essay that I took Econ since the job market in Pakistan is weird and familial pressure pushed me towards an Econ major until I finally decided to go with my heart and pick POL, will this be a justification for my GPA that might help admissions?
3) I have solid high School, A levels grades and a very good SAT (does it even count), I believe these might help me get in and then can I expect all my above C grades to get transferred for TMU?
4) Is it true that I will be starting from a CGPA of 0?
5) Lastly, what is the general scene for transfers at TMU? I have always loved the Uni and the campus whenever I visited and would love to be a student there. Should I keep my hopes high or is it near impossible due to my CPGA? I have solid extra curriculars too if they make any difference at all.

I am building a 15’ day sailer (Glen-L 15) that I am hoping to launch this summer. I will be trailering the boat. The club I’ll be launching from has a couple of cranes with electric winches intended to lift boats in / out of the water. From what I’ve seen, this is much easier and quicker than using the boat ramp.
In order to use the hoist though, I need to install a lifting harness in the boat that can support the weight which the specs says is ~370 lbs. I couldn’t find any information on how to install a bridle or lift point in my Building Plywood Boats book or online and want to make sure I install it appropriately.
BTW, I’m not sure if “crane” is the right term - I’ve also heard people call it a gin pole or hoist. In any case, it is basically a pole next to the dock with a boom on top that swivels. You roll the trailer under it, swing the boom over the boat, lower the cable via a remote, attach the chain/hook to the boat, lift it off the trailer, use a bow line to swing the boat out over the water, and lower it. I’ve used it to launch a 19’ Flying Scot in a sailing lesson and was surprised how quick and easy it was. I think it is also used to launch J22 and J24s.
The Flying Scot had a three point bridle, which is a steel ring with three nylon straps that attach to the hull (two towards the bow and one to the back of the centerboard trunk I believe). The crane’s chain hooks to the eyelet which pulls the straps into a pyramid shape and lifts the boat. I think some boats (like the Js) have a single lift point (ie an eyelet that the crane attached to without a harness) but I prefer a harness since I can adjust it if necessary since I’m not sure exactly where the center of gravity is on the boat.
My main challenge is how and where to attach the harness to the boat. I was thinking one strap to the back of the centerboard trunk and two to frame 5 (at the front of the cockpit) but I’m not a naval architect or mechanical engineer so I’m not sure how to determine if this will be strong enough?
Some thoughts: * I have a bow eye and bow plate on the front, and two tie down eyes on the transom, but those are far apart (one one hand the farther apart the straps are, the more stable it should be, but on the other hand that also increases the horizontal force) * I was thinking of using hardware similar to the trailer tie downs which would through-bolt to the frame or centerboard trunk. Not sure it would be better to put them on the bottom or side pieces of the frame, or at the chine where they meet and have extra gussets for some extra strength (ie low near the keel or high closer to the sheer line?). I was thinking low for stability and strength. * should I look into making stainless steel backing plates for extra strength?
I’m sure there’s more forces and concerns here than I understand so I was hoping that someone might have done this before and could offer me advice or point me towards some resources to help.

So, without going into too much detail, when I was 13/14 I was groomed, SA'd and r*ped by someone I thought I could trust, and I never got help for it.
I tried to tell my parents, but they laughed it off, so I kinda just shut down.
I didn't have a relationship till I was 18 because of this (and I haven't had a relationship since), and I suspect I still very much carry sexual trauma with me to this day.
Now, I really don't want to see a therapist about this. The idea of discussing everything feels so shameful and hard.. It's not something I want to open up to a stranger about, so I confide in my friends when I need to.. But I can't seem to properly enjoy sex.
Whenever something comes close to feeling intimate, my brain kinda.. Shuts down? It blanks, like a short circuit, no thoughts, just.. Empty. I become tense, I start to feel paranoid, and as a result, I can't enjoy sex fully.
This has even affected my day to day life and friendships.. Physical touch makes me jump and tense up (Except with one person, they seem to be an exception and I'm not sure why? Trust, perhaps, as we both are survivors of SA?) and I accidentally disassociate sometimes if someone gets too physically close to me.
A friend of mine tried to harmlessly pat the back of my hand in a supportive gesture the other day, and I nearly jumped out of my skin. The look on his face destroyed me, he felt bad, like he'd done something wrong, but he didn't..
I thought after almost 10 years, I'd have made some kinda progress.. I want.. To be able to try, but I just can't.. I know if I put myself into that kinda situation again, my brain is gonna short circuit, and I'm just gonna end up going with it when I'm totally out of it cause at least one of us should be able to enjoy themselves but I want to enjoy myself too, I just.. Can't.
What can I do to make it easier without forcing myself to go to therapy? I don't know how to heal from this.

Ok, is this petty? Yes. I live in petty. It really bothers me that there is not a consistency between the common rooms/dorms. I don’t want them to look identical, but it just feels like they did not get the same level of care.
For example, only two of the houses (Slytherin and Hufflepuff) have 14 dormitories, aka enough for both of the gender selections for all 7 years. Gryffindor has 7, Ravenclaw has 8, and in both of them they have two fifth years, so it’s not like you can argue that maybe there is 1 door for both genders, and the door is smart enough to know which one you want. It’s just a small immersion thing that bothers me a little bit. Like, where would you sleep when you come back next year? For two houses I know. For two I don’t.
It also bothers me a little how some houses feel more flushed out than others. Ravenclaw has three distinct areas to sit (if we could sit), plus that secret tower area. Slytherin has a few seating areas, plus the windows where you can potentially meet the giant squid. Gryffindor has that really cool back stairwell, plus multiple sitting/lounging areas. Hufflepuff really just had the main sitting area and then you were in the dorms. There wasn’t a whole lot for you to engage with in their common room. Yes they had the kitchens near by, but everyone can go into the kitchens, so it’s not that big of a perk.
Also, the bathroom situation bothered me a little. Ravenclaw and Gryffindor have bathrooms (Gryffindor’s is only female, but it’s something). Slytherin has a bathroom outside the common room, which is a little impractical but again, it’s something. Hufflepuff… you better hope you don’t have to pee in the middle of the night because if you do you’re breaking into the prefects bathroom.
Again, it is small potatoes and I get that, but I just wish someone paid more attention to make sure each house got the same treatment. It feels kind of like the game favoured Ravenclaw and slytherin, Gryffindor got some attention because that’s Harry’s house, and Hufflepuffs got the short end of the stick, per usual. I just wish that someone would have said, hey here’s the basics each house has to have, and then went from there. Again, it’s petty, and I know that, but it is something that I find affects my house choice.

How do you go about making friends as an adult?
I've tried everything I can think of. I will admit I'm not the most approachable person and I have been told I can come off standoffish if you don't know me(still tend to have a stick up my arse sometimes even then). I've even joined a social media community in hopes of making friends with common interests.

The "friends" that I did make eventually in college never actually hung out or talked to me outside college (there excuse was I lived to far even though they would all catch the bus anyway to hangout with eachother) and completely ghosted me once I left college.
I do volunteer at a charity shop and I am on friendly terms with the people I volunteer with but we're not friends just co-workers plus most of them are old enough to be my parents.
I've joined social clubs in the past but either I stopped going because I didn't enjoy it or the club would just randomly get cancelled one day plus I live in a pretty shit city. I have tried meetup but there isn't any clubs that interest me and last time I checked there wasn't any clubs available. I wouldn't mind a book club but I can't find any near me and I don't know where I could find one online.
I don't mind not having any but it would be nice to have one or two people I could meet up with once in a while and talk too whenever. It's gets pretty lonely being a 20 year old with no life.

Hi guys! I recently got myself a used Triple S from my friend who bought it at Harrods. It's a size 43 but it feels pretty big, planning on wearing it tho, just rarely. Question is what size should I buy whenever I buy a new one fresh, there are 0 stores near me that sell Triple S's and I don't really plan on traveling anywhere soon so I won't be able to try one on for sometime.
My feet is goofy, my all time fav shoe YZY 500 feels perfect at size 44, YZY 700 feels ok at 44 (43 1/3 would be better with 700s) my adidas yung 1-96 are 43 1/3, my old cdg converses are 42.5 , my old air force 1 low is probably 42, I can't see the size tag because it's an 8 year old shoe the size tag is straight up just brown.
My feet is exactly 26.5 cm long from big toe to heel, measured the inside length of the size 43 Triple S it's around 28cm perfectly but feels extremely big, like I could fit a 1,6 cm lego brick at my heel and there was 2-3mms still (I was F-ing around a lot lol).
I'm thinking about 40-41 most probably size 41, don't think a 42 would be good either, size 43 really feels extremely big to be honest, it's ok after 10 minutes of walking but still hella goofy. Scared of 40 being too small but wanted to ask on this sub anyway.
Also found a size chart on the internet that says the difference between size 43 and 41 is just 1.5 cms, but I don't think the site has the proper measurements.

I'm currently reading the LN and just arrived till chapter 4 of vol 12, "the taste of death". Here Subaru just got teleported in the sanctuary by Beatrice, who has got killed by Elsa. Right at the begging of the chapter Subaru, who noticed the snow, says “This isn’t funny… It’s still the second day…". Little time later, when he asks Garfiel about Emilia he replies “Dunno that, either. —The Princess has been holed up in the tomb since last night, see?”. But this just doesn't make sense judging by the events of that loop. To make everything clearer (I know loops are something hard to remember sometimes) I reassumed what happened since the checkpoint till Subaru and Garfiel's encounter:

-Subaru wakes up next to Emilia, he's scared (he just experienced the appearance of Satella) and she comforts him immediately after her awakening.
-Later that night Subaru meets with Ryuzu, who explains him about the replicas and the "apostle of greed" thing.
-Going to the cathedral to sleep Subaru runs into Emilia, who's taking a stroll to clear her mind. They chat a bit before parting and going to bed.
—end of day 1—
-In the early morning Subaru departs from the sanctuary, leaving Emilia a letter.
-On his way, Subaru meets Garfiel near the barrier where he says the well-known sentence "I know hell".
-Little time after noon, Subaru arrives to the mansion.
-More or less one hour later; Subaru deals with Beatrice, wanting her to evacuate the mansion with Frederica and the others (who left the mansion few minutes before).
-Subaru and Beatrice are interrupted by Elsa.
-Subaru tries to escape towards the village with Beatrice but they get run into Meili.
-Elsa (who had been slowed by shamak) reaches them and kills Beatrice. But the spirit, moments before disappearing, teleportes Subaru in the sanctuary again.
-Subaru notices everything's enveloped by the snow and wonders how's that possible as it's still the second day.
-Subaru meets Garfiel, who tells him Emilia's in the tomb since last night.
My question is when did Emilia get in the tomb? According to Garfield, it happened the prior night. But this can't be for that night Emilia already tried the trial, waking up beside Subaru and getting out with him. Not even 24 hours have passed since then and you can attempt the trial only once a day. Maybe I didn't understand something, but this doesn't look to make sense to me. Can you please clear this for me?

Hello all, I'm trying to find the name of a christmas special i watched as a kid, this was maybe around 2007/2010? but the cartoon looked older, like maybe early 2000s.
anyways the plot of it always stuck with me for some reason, i may not be 100% correct but i feel i got most of the main points down. its basically about this spoiled kid who's finally told no by his parents, then he realizes that he can just ask santa for all the things he wants. it turns out that the kids name is the same as some poor town and santa gets confused and gives all the kids in that town the presents the kid asked for. when the kid finds out, hes mad at first, but then i guess he learns where his presents went and feels good about what he did? idk it gets hazy near the end for me.
thats about it for the plot, i remember that it wasnt that long like maybe 10 minutes long? shorter?, idk if it was part of a compilation or something, i just know it was called something like "A Boy Named _____" i cant remember for the life of me what the kids name was. the kid had orange hair i think and the animations was a bit stylized, sortaaa like fairy oddparents but sharper, i remember there was a narrator and a specific scene of the kid digging through his piles and piles of toys in his room. in said scene the kid wears like a bootleg darth vader mask at one point and the narrator calls it "The Things mask from (title of fake movie that DEFINITELY isnt star wars)"
thats about it, i think this either aired on nickelodeon or cartoon network but i cant remember, for all I know that was the last time it was ever aired since i really do not remember seeing it again after this.

Another Madden $70 re-skin is upon us, so let's take a moment to explore the history of all the people who have been featured on the cover of an pro football video game.
While the selection of the Madden cover athlete is now an event, there was a wild wild west period of football games from the 80s to the mid-2000s where anybody with a computer could and would build football games, with the selection of the cover being all over the place. Roger Craig was the first cover athlete in 1985 on NFL Challenge for MS-DOS. Madden's first game was in 1988, then by the mid-90s getting a cover athlete or spokesman for your football game was pretty standard.
I wanted to compile those games and covers based on this Wiki article (and a few that it was missing from that list) and see who was on the main cover of all of those games (some games were almost completely irrelevant, so I left them off this list). Some of these may have more alternates with other people, but I'll stick with the main cover.

The Re-skins/Commanders?, Jags, Panthers, and Bills have appeared on a cover but never with an athlete as the lead or with a real person. Only the Texans have never appeared at all on the cover of any football video game. I'd say the Bills are most likely to get one next (Josh Allen), then the Jags (Trevor Lawrence), then the Panthers/Texans if either hits a home run with Young or Stroud. The Commanders have a long road ahead to getting a feature cover athlete, unless you ask Sam Howell who thinks he should be this year's Madden cover athlete.

Kordell Stewart, Daunte Culpepper, and Donovan McNabb (and possibly Lamar Jackson, still too early for him) are the only players with multiple appearances that are either not or are unlikely to make the Hall of Fame. McNabb is the only guy to appear in multiple covers in the same year. Also of note, 7 athletes were on a cover without ever making a pro bowl in their careers: Brad Muster, Pat Terrell, Gordon Laro, Chris Zorich, Albert Fontenot, William Floyd, and Peyton Hillis (Hillis was the only one to be the primary cover athlete).

We didn't see the first cover athlete until 1985 with Roger Craig. They didn't really become standard until the early to mid-90s after Madden became a big selling point for the early Madden games. The dip in the last 2 decades is because there's just less games, so any generic football games will have a large effect.

1988: John Madden Football released on the Apple II, MS-DOS, and Commodore 64/128 (partly being developed by Bethesda), which was the beginning of the most dominant franchise in football video games. They featured no NFL teams due to a lack of an NFL license.
1991: Tecmo Super Bowl is probably still my personal favorite football video game. It's totally timeless, and if you pick the Raiders then you're a cheater.

The Parity Era: 1997-2004

1997: NFL Blitz came from Midway studios and was a breath of fresh air for football games. They had mostly been stagnant trying to hone in on realistic simulation in 2D form, whereas Blitz came out in 3D and threw realism out the window. I definitely spent too much money on the arcade version of this game.
2000: Madden 2001 started the tradition of having their games feature a cover athlete in this format, which consolidated into nearly everyone following this trend.
2001: Backyard Football 2002 was a more kid-friendly version of a football video game, and they also had other games for other professional sports. I definitely played this a lot on my old Windows Me computer, and Pablo Sanchez is a god.
2002: NFL Fever was Microsoft's foray into football video games on the original Xbox. All 3 of their games featured Peyton Manning as the cover athlete.
2002: NFL GameDay 2003 was 989 Sports' exclusive for Sony on the PlayStation platform.
2004: ESPN NFL 2K5 was the last great football game before the NFL exclusively gave their license to the EA. It was this game that definitely led to NFL's decision though, as they slashed their release price to an unheard of $20, which forced Madden 2004 to release at $30 instead of the typical $50. This pissed off the NFL, who decided to have less competition instead.

The Madden Era: 2005-Present

2005: NFL Street 2 was the second in the NFL Street series as a kind of spiritual successor to NFL Blitz. EA tried to have some diversity in their football video games outside of the Madden franchise, so they had the short-lived Street franchise under \"EA BIG\"
2006: NFL Head Coach was a new perspective on NFL Games where you play as the coach instead of the players. I enjoyed these although they could get a little boring.
2007: All Pro Football 2K8 was 2K's attempt at keeping the 2K football franchise alive without the coveted NFL license. They got three HoF players on the cover in Elway, Barry, and Rice, but not the actual license to any NFL team. This game received praise for its mechanics, but poor sales showed that a non-NFL licensed game would always struggle to make it.
2011: Madden 12 was maybe the last good Madden game. Also, Peyton Hillis. The only guy on a NFL football game cover to never make a Pro Bowl. This guy is an actual hero though, so good for him.
2019: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football was a mix of american and CFL football as another attempt at making a football game without the NFL license to poor results. They have announced a new game as a free to play title on new platforms, but no games in this franchise have released since 2020.
2020: Retro Bowl is a mobile game more in the style of Tecmo Super Bowl than Madden. It's probably the most successful non-Madden game since ESPN NFL 2K5, and it's pretty fun. People should definitely give this one a try since it's free to play on any mobile platform.
2022: Madden 23 gave the cover back to Madden for the first time since 1999 to honor the passing of the legend John Madden. Unfortunately the game inside the cover was crap, has been the style of Madden games for over a decade.

Charbel is equally amusing as he is talented. I wish we got to see more of him and his wacky dishes. Probably forgetting a bunch of moments but here's a short recap:

• The guy made an onion with chicken jus for the 1st challenge and WON. Gail said it was perfect and something she'd remember for a long long time. It takes a certain mindset to say "fuck it ima cook an onion on World All Stars". The more hilarious part was that he confessed in his season he played it safe early on only to ramp it up near the finale. This time, because of the talent level he said he had no choice but to go all out in the first challenge... and proceeds to make an onion spending "£2.50 with a budget of £250"
  
• For the picnic challenge he essentially made veggies with 3 types of dip. I thought he was for certain screwed but those dips must have been next-level.
  
• Chose Japan's takoyaki in the street food challenge to just try it. Fails miserably but he had fun trying something new. "chunks of octop-WTF" "I have travelled a lot and love Japanese food but what is takoyaki, how do you grill a ball?!"
  
• I respect that he chose to represent Lebanon in the challenge with Gaggan Anand. Again the mad lad made essentially (in Padma's words) sauce with a cracker. In Tom's words: "when you make high concept food like this, usually it's a process. To be able to produce food at this level is exceptional."
  

I do wish he came back from LCK but credit to the remaining 4 chefs. Buddha has tremendous momentum and it feels like it's his game to lose. Whatever happens in the finale, it's gonna take some next-level shit to beat him. Ali has been consistently strong throughout displaying flavors from his culture and I'm pulling for him the most. Gabri is pure chaos but he reminds me a bit of Hung only just like 100x more nuts in the kitchen and I love him for it. I think he's a complete wild card. He has some iconic lines too: "you better cheer for me bitch!" His flavors tend to be on point if he can manage his time well. Sara has managed to put a Southern spin on dishes that have shown complex flavor profiles and it's been a delight to watch her personality change from season 16. Much more relaxed and fun especially considering the enormous stress of being away from her kids. I feel like this finale will be the best one we've ever seen.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my piece on here. I frequently browsed this sub through April to December of last year, when I first suffered a horrible bout of sciatic pain in April due to a herniated l5-S1 which lasted all the way until December where I had my surgery (Microdisectomy).
I went through so much pain during those months constant pain while walking/sitting for over 6 months, did physio and had mri scans to view my progress and I battled through countless mental health struggles due to it and browsed this subreddit frequently, I eventually did decide to have surgery as it was over 6 months at that point and I didn’t see myself getting better. I haven’t browsed this subreddit in many many months.
I’m about 5 months post op now and I’m glad to say I’m living life back to normal now with little to no issues. I do have some very slight pain in my ankles, but it’s not there most of the time and medical professionals seem to think it’s more muscle related rather then nerve since I was inactive for many many months.
I sit for hours, I run, cycle. I don’t think about it anymore compared to when I was suffering. Near 0 pain, a pipe dream compared to when I was suffering.
All this to say, people gather here when times are tough and rough. Not when they’re out and back to normal, to whoever was in my shoes or suffering through this….let me tell you that it is temporary. Whether you get treated with surgery like me or through other methods, life goes on and you move on. Just wanted to share a story like mine on here, cheers!
