I’ve applied a total of 6 times to multiple Starbucks within a 3 year timespan and I’ve never been contacted for an interview. Within those 3 years, I’ve actually gained some barista experience so I thought that would help me at least get an interview. Though, my friend got hired after applying 1 time at one of the Starbucks’ I applied at with zero barista experience.
Was it the timing, or what? I’ve always had pretty much open availability, besides the few hours Mon-Thurs I couldn’t work in the fall due to University. I’m so confused 😭

I just got an interview scheduled with Auto Owners insurance as a entry-level claims representative in Florida. Is there any type of drug screen or testing? I am getting multiple different answers online and the company website does not mention it either.

I finished uni for good on the 19th of May, which I thought was gonna be amazing and make me a lot less stressed, but it just hasn't.
On top of the uni stress I've been dealing with chronic lower back pain since the start of 2022 which massively impacted my motivation and drive, taking away my ability to go to the gym properly to wind down. I was also in a pretty major car accident that same year, amongst many other things which had happened before first year and up to third, including my childhood cat being put down because of cancer.
Despite all this, I worked hard to get all my work done so I could finally be done with uni for good. Personally, I'm pretty fucking exhausted! Yet no one seems to understand that, and my family and partners family are pushing grad schemes and careers on us.
My mum and sister constantly say how they had it so much harder in uni, my mum pregnant with us and my sister working 4am shifts at a supermarket then going to uni after.
I'm just not allowed to complain or they say I'm just 'thinking negatively' and all this negative thinking is what's causing me this distress, but how am i supposed to be happy and smiley when I've been dead inside for years because of uni and all those other things, when nobody seems to listen or care, they just brush my problems aside and talk about their own.
Anybody else just fucking burned out and exhausted after uni? Cause I want to know whether others feel this way too or I'm just being weak and lazy, as my family clearly imply. Think people just need to cut a bit more slack really, just been slaving away at an awful hard degree for the last 3 years, and I was working full time in Nando's at the same time where I was treated like dirt and constantly overworked. I just want to catch a break, to enjoy life for once like everyone else seems to be, but when will that time come?
Sorry about the negativity I just need to vent as I feel nobody really understands what I'm going through, but you guys might. There just isn't enough support out there for uni students and the standard we are held to is a joke.

This is hard to say - I'm skipping the 2023 Accord. I've owned five new Hondas (six, if you count my one Acura), but the 2023 just isn't doing it for me.
There were no EX-L models with 17-inch wheels on the lot, so I test-drove a couple of models with 19-inch wheels and didn't care for them - they were louder than I liked. The freeway was smooth, so the ride wasn't bad, but it also didn't thrill me. My seventh generation 2005 has been gone for a few years now, but I liked it better than the two 2023 models I drove.
I've read some complaints about seat comfort on long drives - I didn't notice that, but when I asked if I could have an overnight test, the dealer said they don't do that anymore. Okay, I get that, but me betting I'll like the car otherwise if I spend money to replace the big wheels, is a big ask.
The funny thing is that most of the Toyota car lots here are pre-selling their hybrids before arrival on the lot, and this dealer has some unsold, just sitting there.
I know some folks like them, but... I wish I'd bought a 2022 model.

Ordered a 2022 M340i at my local dealership last year and ordered a 2023 M340i for my wife this year from the same dealership. Car has been in Ready For Transport for a few weeks now and just happened to see a low mileage 2022 M3 at another dealer. Not going into the nitty gritty specs, but it has the options I need. Anyway, not entirely sure if I'm going to jump on it, but has anyone ever canceled an order when it's in Ready For Transport or later? I feel like a dick, but at the same time that M3 is well spec'd and it would be my dream car. My wife would take the M340i and I would take the M3.
Also, just to get it out the way - before ordering the M340i I contacted dealers within a 100 mile radius, if not a bit further, just to see if I could order an M3 at MSRP and all were over except for a handful, which had no allocations and long waitlists. Even if I ordered they all said it would be a year out. The only dealer close to me that had any in stock had a $20k-$30k markup, yeah...no thanks. So I ended up with another M340i order. The M340i is an amazing car and it would easily have been an M3 if it came out years ago. Anyway, is canceling worth it? I'm concerned I might ruin the good relationship I have with my current dealer, but don't want to miss out on an M3.
TLDR - anyone ever cancel a BMW order at Ready For Transport? Do you think it's worth it canceling the M340i and getting the preowned M3?

Hoping to get some help, I recently got a used 2022 Base 4D Bronco with a soft top and found these clasps in the rear window broken. The part appears to say M2DB-S51 5A57-AD but I cannot find it anywhere online. Any advice? They are broken on both sides so imagine there is a L part.

When the whole human society center on deceiving other people and telling lies.....
For example, when you are doing an interview, you cannot be 100% honest about every question, otherwise, you will have a very high chance to fail.
In my first interview about 13-15 years ago, one of the interviewers asked me "Will you accept overtime work?", I answered "of course, if with overtime paid". I didn't get the job, but other people later told me that I had answered that question wrongly, I should have just said "yes".
When I was a kid, my parents used to do my art homework (because my works were rubbish, according to them). On one occasion, my dad did a model of Sun-Moon-Earth with motion (he was in the civil engineering industry), and I was 12 years old, it was impossible for me to build that thing on my own. Ofcourse, my teacher asked me that did I build it myself, I said "no". Then, after school, I was criticized by my parents (for being honest).
Last week, I read an article about a kid who told the teacher that she had marked his paper wrong, and a mark should be deducted from his exam paper. Then, the reaction from the internet was mainly that "the guy will grow up and become a snitch" / "he will not have a good relationship with his classmate"
In the workplace, if you are completely honest to everyone else, particularly your customers, probably you will make a lot of enemies.
I am expecting a baby girl this year, today, in the street, I suddenly wondered, should we really teach our kid to be honest? when telling lie give an obvious advantage, or in reverse, being honest give you a big disadvantage in the real life

Hey. I don't really have anyone to share this with, so I hope it's okay if I share it here. I'm a recovering neet and I just want to put this out there. Maybe it can serve as some inspiration for others looking to get out of neetdom or something. Anyways.
I would've dropped out of high school if I had gone to a regular one. Thankfully I ended up going to an alternative school because my mental health was so poor, and they supported me really well.
After I graduated I got a retail job and it sucked to hell. Quit after a couple months. Fall was coming up so I decided to go to community college. Did that for a year as my mental health was once again rapidly declining, and then I just... Stopped attending.
I did nothing until I was 23. It was great at first. Thankfully my dad is very soft in the heart and while he would verbally worry about me, he also probably would have let me live with him doing nothing for the rest of my life. I loved playing video games all day and sleeping into the evening.
But as time went on, it started kind of sucking. I had no money, I stopped getting enjoyment out of doing anything other than playing games, my social anxiety got 500% worse, I gained a lot of weight, and worst of all, my relationship with my boyfriend was deteriorating.
I was in therapy for a bit, but she had to drop me due to her clinic no longer accepting my dad's insurance. My boyfriend, who lived with me and my dad, was kind and patient, but I could tell his patience and hope for me was wearing thin after a few years of me doing absolutely nothing to help myself.
At the end of 2021 (I think), I got on some meds that actually work pretty well for my anxiety. I also tried shrooms a few times, which made me realize a some things.
Firstly, that my greatest wish of moving out wasn't going to happen if I didn't do anything to make it happen. We wouldn't be able to live off my boyfriend's salary alone. Also, I wouldn't want him to have to work that much.
Second, that was what led me to the realization that my lack of drive was putting some strain on our relationship. Of course, he doesn't think not having a job is a bad thing, as evidenced by the fact that he stayed with me all throughout my ~4-5 years of neetdom. It's more about how he would have to work so much to sustain us if we ever wanted to leave.
And third, I... Wanted to do more than survive. I wanted to be able to afford to do things like take trips and eat sushi and live in a decent place. I'm a big Disney parks fan since I grew up with my parents taking me all the time, so I want to be able to keep going even into my adulthood. I know that sounds stupid to a lot of people, but it's important to me and part of what motivates me (I'm just autistic lmao don't worry I loathe Disney as a company)
During the summer of 2022, I decided (to the delight of my dad and boyfriend) that I would go back to community college. I signed up for one math class to ease myself back in.
To my surprise, it wasn't as bad as I remembered. The people around me were younger than me, but I'm still pretty young still and am often mistaken for a teenager, so that wasn't a problem for me. I didn't really socialize. The atmosphere of my college was too high school-like for me to feel comfortable socializing.
But the class itself was... Lowkey kinda fun? I realized that I actually enjoy learning math. And that was when, after also researching anxiety-friendly well paying jobs, I decided I would transfer to a university, where I would major in computer science and get a job programming or something like that.
I took another class in the winter, applied to the university as a transfer, and after some hassle, I'm incredibly happy to say that at 24 years old, I'm starting at the university this fall! My then boyfriend, now fiance and I decided we want to get married, AND we're moving out of my dad's house since the school is across the state. My tuition is being funded by grants and the housing is being funded by my wonderful, generous fiance, and we'll be moving out in less than a month!!
One of the weirdest things I've realized is that I was so, SO bored when I was neeting. Having things to do in the real world, goals to attain, actually made me feel like a real person. Like I wanted to go out into the world and like, do something. I also feel like I can enjoy video games and stuff a lot more now.
I'll always be supportive of neets, those who are neet by choice and those who aren't, and I'll never judge anyone for being one. But that life isn't for me anymore. I'm happy to have my tax dollars go to a neet who needs it more, and once I'm working, I want to let my fiance decide what he wants to do. If he wants to play vidya all day, that's fine, the goal is to make enough money for him to be able to do that. And if he wants to pursue college or something, I'll be able to support him financially.
Him and my dad are literally the only people in my life right now. My social anxiety got so bad as a need that I ended up cutting everyone off. I hope trying to make new friends ends up being worth it. And in college, I'll be sure to take on less of a workload/take breaks if I need to. I don't want to go back to the way things were.

(Also just want to add that I realize how lucky I've been here. I'm by no means trying to say it's easy to stop being a neet, or that you should even have to at all. My happiness lies not with becoming a wagecuck, but in being able to support my partner and be able to do things like move out and afford to go on vacation. Everyone finds their own happiness in life. If your happiness is being a neet, more power to you!)

Hello. A friend bought the game night 2022 free for all box. It says that it has well balanced decks.
Out first match was black vs green, green won every game. The elf's just flood the board while black has 2-3 removals and not that many low mana creatures.
Next match was blue vs white. White has that one creature that can equip everything when he enters the battlefield. So at turn 6 it was a 17/15 with double strike, haste, First Strike, vigilance, trample. I bounced it back twice into his hands, but it came back and gained all the equipment back and because of haste killed me in an instant.
Are we doing something wrong? This isn't really fun anymore. The old game night was pretty balanced but this is just madness.

I have a 2012 Subaru Impreza with ~120,000 miles on it. The key has started getting stuck in the ignition and google searches led to finding out that this is a known issue with the CVT Parking Brake Switch mechanism. There was a warranty extension issued in October 2021, which expired in October 2022. The letter was sent to my parents old house (where I had first bought the car), so I didn't realize it until I reached out to them... Am I out of luck?
