Okay so me and my boyfriend have been dating for 2 and a half years. Been through our ups and down but overall has been good. Both each others first everything, and haven’t broken up ever. I don’t rly tell him he can’t talk to ppl but there’s this one girl I have never liked and made it very clear I didn’t want him talking to her ever. Little backstory: when me and him were in the talking stage his sister and my friends told me that he used to have a huge crush on this girl, she’s a year older than us and kinda a h*e. A week before our first ever hang he had swiped up on her story saying her hair looks great and that he loved her. However I didn’t notice that until a year later so by then was to late. When I mentioned it He told me that I was the only girl he was talking to and that he didn’t actually mean what he said to her and was always jokes, but I obvi don’t believe that. Even told me he didn’t ever like her and that it was always a joke… Anyways me and him go to different schools and she went to his when we first started dating and she j graduated last year. Me and him r currently seniors. Anyways at the time we first started dating he was a sophomore and took the bus to school and she offered to drive him to school because “she felt bad that he was waiting at bus stop”. He told me how he would be going with her to school. Of course I freaked out as I knew he used to like her and her rep, so I said no. He didn’t go with her and even removed her on snap. She proceeded to text him on imessage asking why he removed her. He never responded but I bet he told her when he saw her in school that it was bc of me… anyway It’s all been going good for the past year she hasn’t been around or brought up as she is in college. Until the other day when me and him were at prom…. We were walking and taking pics when all a sudden I hear 2 girls calling his name from behind. We both turned around and sure enough it was her and his sister. He waved at her and said hi. I was fuming. Because not only does his sister know I don’t like that girl, BUT HE WAVED AND SAID HI. I was so embarrassed and mad. Her friends were there too and they all stared at me like they knew what they were doing. His sister loves instigating and he confronted her saying “why did u say hi and do that knowing haylee would be mad” his sister responded saying “not a big deal”. Anyways I am so mad he talked to her as I felt so disrespected and embarrassed because I made it obvious I was not happy. Anyways he doesn’t see a problem and won’t talk abt it, and even if he does I don’t know how to forget it or forgive him or his sister for making me feel like that. WHAT DO I DO? I’ve been so bothered and nothing will make me feel better abt it.

I am moving to Fells Point soon and want to get advise on how feasible/reliable a non-car commute to Towson University is? I currently have a car, but would consider selling it once I move. I’m considering 3/4 transportation options: Bus, bike (already own w/ panniers and baskets), buying e-bike, or multimodal transit and bike. I would also occasionally need to get there on Saturdays. I don’t need to be at work at a set time.
BUS: Reliability??? I keep seeing posts about ghost buses, late buses, just general the bus is unreliable. I would be riding citylink Navy and Red. Does this concern apply for the citylink buses? Oh, also what’s the etiquette for eating on the buses??
Bike: How possible/safe is this? It seems like there isn’t a really good path. Seems good/okay to Penn station and then it’s roads with no bike lanes/shoulders and from the looks of it decent speed limits. Google maps is recommending 25, then Roland Ave, then Charles St from Penn Station.
EBike would probably make me feel a bit safer on roads with mixed traffic and would help speed up the commute a lot.
Are there any neighborhoods I should avoid biking through? In the winter I would be commuting in the dark.
Multimodal: Is multimodal the way to go here? Perhaps take the light rail up to Falls Rd or Lutherville, biking to and from the stations on both legs of the trip? Is bus and bike multimodal an option? Do all buses have bike racks on them? How often are they full?

I live in CR0 (just next to Blackhorse lane tram stop and the 197 bus stop) and I have to get to an office on Noel St (work.life)
Usually I would get the tram to east Croydon and then pick up the tube from Victoria, but this won’t be much fun in the heat at rush hour… I’m thinking an alternative could be east Croydon > Farringdon and then pick up the liz line to TCR, any other thoughts?

Prioritization: Kentville was provide two appropriate options that would significantly improve the accessibility and safety of active transportation users from Webster St. to Justice Way.
In the AT Plan, prioritization for Active Transportation users was identified as a guiding principle. This principle is not currently represented in the facility built from Webster St. to Justice Way. A number of decisions* that have prioritized the vehicle user over active transportation users has resulted in a sub-par, unsafe, and conflict prone facility that does not support the vision statement of the AT Plan.
I am requesting that measures (or a review process) be put in place so that council and staff are accountable to the plan that is supported by council and community?
*(1) Chose more complicated and cost intensive option that would result in the removal (or best-case relocation) of street trees, and bus stop reconfiguration, over the removal of 22 on-street parking spots and one (of two) west bound travel lanes (west of Cornwallis Street). (2) Chose to reduce the width of the facility from the AT Plan recommendation of 3m (unsure why this decision was made), rendering the facility unsuitable for the prescribed shared use between people of different ages and abilities traveling at different speeds.
Accessibility: Although on paper, the built facility follows TAC guidelines (width (curb to edge) =2.7m), the functional width that allows for passing maneuvers is only half of this due the obstructions from curb cuts (grading drops = accessibility issue as the surface is not level), light posts, and garbage/compost containers. Half of this facility is being used as a utility corridor, which is in direct conflict with this area being a travel lane. This means that the functional space of this facility is only 1.35m, which is less than the previously existing sidewalk of 1.5m. Not only did Kentville remove functional space for pedestrians, but also added more users to the space who will be travelling at higher speeds creating greater conflict for the most vulnerable users of active transportation.
I am requesting that Council and Staff use the lens of prioritizing vulnerable road users when apply the TAC design guide. The recommendations in the manual are guidelines, and at times these guidelines are in conflict and require compromises – it is pertinent that decision makers are prioritizing conflicts and compromises according to the vulnerable users hierarchy so that the most vulnerable people on our streets are safe and not put at risk because of poor design or lack of infrastructure.
AND/OR I am requesting that a presentation and meaningful engagement with the Accessibility Committee is mandatory for all future design projects regarding Active Transportation. This will mitigate the risk of future oversight as the intersection of AT and accessibility are integral to a successful implementation of both the AT Plan and Accessibility Action Plan.
Funding:
Kentville is awarded funds for Active Transportation
Kentville has been awarded a significant amount of funding to implement their AT Plan, and “provide alternative commuting options for users of all ages and abilities that are safe, accessible, sustainable, and environmentally friendly.”
“The Government of Canada is investing more than $1.4 million in this project through the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan. The Government of Nova Scotia is contributing more than $1.2 million, while the Town of Kentville is contributing more than $978,000.”
“The network will consist of approximately 21 active transportation (AT) lanes, pathways, and crossings.”
Kentville has a ‘rare to Nova Scotia’ opportunity, where we have a well researched and designed plan AND we have money to build it. Let’s not squander this opportunity and not build what we have set out to build. The facility built from Webster St. to Justice Way does not fulfill the outcome provided in the press release above as it does not provide a safe or accessible space for AT users. (Assuming this project was funded through the above funds, but if not, future projects will be and therefore need to meet the outcomes promised to the funders).
What accountability does Kentville have to its funders to fulfill the agreements of their funding? Do we risk losing funding of we do not complete the outcomes we have promised?
This is my letter to counsil regarding the Active Transportation Plan, please let me know if I am missing anything?
I am also going to be enquiring about the standards of the Rick Hansen guidelines that this meets in regards to width. As I have pointed out, you have less space of a sidewalk as you are now sharing it with other users. As someone in a wheelchair, I do not feel safe with a bike on the sidewalk. As someone who bikes, I do not feel comfortable biking past a pedestrian without adequate space to do so.
This Active Transportation Plan is not meeting the BARE MINIMUM requirements as stated by the TAC geometric guide. If you would like to see those standards, the whole thing costs $788, or grab the bicycle section for $86, or I will happily upload pictures of those guidelines.
In full disclosure, I have stepped away from leading the Kentville Women on Wheels program, because I cannot support this project moving forward and it is something I care deeply about.

2023.05.31 08:09 Difficult_Bee_5600 I remember reading Zeb Wells' first issue from beyond, and thinking that it would be a great story about peter and his grief from Spencer's finale, then every other issue happened 😂

This makes me think editorial forced it in a different direction, harry dying for the second time still hasn't been brought up in favor of this stupid mystery
