Hello- I am a very avid runner and actually just recently rostered as an Elite for a competitive regional running club. I’m 31 year old female. I’m also the head coach of a local high school’s cross country and track teams. I’m a mom of 2.5 year old as well and very, very active.
Basically I went and saw an Ortho about two weeks ago because every time I would attempt to run downhill my right knee would completely buckle and fail. It literally felt like my knee ceased to exist. But the thing is, I have like no pain. I’ve had a general low grade ache in both my knees for years, but nothing that’s ever held me back. So now even with my knee completely failing, I still don’t experience what I would call pain- just failure to function, and only on down hills. It’s been a very strange and frustrating issue.
Below are the findings of my MRI.
I haven’t had a follow up visit with the doc yet, but basically are my glory days behind me?
FINDINGS: Intercondylar Notch: The ACL and PCL are intact. Medial Compartment: Grade II chondromalacia. Otherwise the MCL, medial meniscus and medial cartilage are intact. Lateral Compartment: Lateral compartment cartilage is intact without fissure or full-thickness defect. Intact lateral collateral ligament and popliteus tendon. No lateral meniscus tear, extrusion, or parameniscal cyst. Patellofemoral Compartment: Grade II chondromalacia, otherwise intact lateral meniscus, popliteus tendon and fibular collateral ligament. Full-thickness fissure in the lateral patellar facet. Full-thickness cartilage loss in the lateral femoral trochlea with reactive edema. This area measures 11 x 11 mm. Extensor mechanism is intact. Edema in the inferior patella. Miscellaneous: Small joint effusion. IMPRESSION: 1. Tricompartmental chondromalacia with full-thickness cartilage loss in the patellofemoral joint. 2. Intact menisci.

Pyright slows down my terminal so much that I can't use it. I want to use it though because it seems to offer better goto definition and type checking than ruff-lsp and python-lsp-server which are the other Python lsp servers I've tried.
How can I make Pyright faster wtihout sacrificing much functionality? I've tried the snippet below, but it doesn't seem to have any effect, it seems to my like the entire workspace is being checked anyway.
So I need help both getting the below snippet to work and potentially modifying it to do a better job is speeding up pyright without sacrificing usefulness.

My boyfriend and I signed the lease on an apartment the other day. The property manager accepted an offer $400 below listing price pretty quickly, which was the first red flag. We dropped off the deposit at the realtors office. The realtor called the receptionist while we were in the office and told her not to give us the keys to the apartment because he had to go back and make repairs. After insisting we would be given the keys before we left, the realtor informed us he had to go back to the apartment and repair some "holes in the wall." We hadn't noticed any holes in the walls and didn't see any when we went back to the apartment again to check. We also noticed that the front door doesn't open and the handle is broken. Only the back door opens (when we toured the realtor had already opened the front door prior to us arriving). When we asked the realtor about it, he said "I can show you a trick to open the front door" and didn't agree to fixing the issue. The following day, the realtor asked when he could stop over to make repairs. We called and said we would meet him there and he said "well, I'll only be here 5-10 minutes" and insisted we didn't come meet him. Note -- he also still has a key to the apartment. My boyfriend and I made a list of questions we want to ask the property manager. The lease only has his phone number, which is a business number for a flooring company. I asked the realtor for his email and he said he doesn't know what it is. I called the given phone number and no one picked up. We sent a text, and we received no text back. The realtor informed us the property manager is "on a trip" and we can leave a message. Concerned we are actively being scammed.

Hello, I’m a senior in highschool and will be graduating this coming week. I know I’ve posted this in several subreddits already, but I don’t know what to do because I’m limited in friendship experience. Anyways, graduation brings up the topic of the graduation ceremony, more specifically graduating seating. My school has allowed students to choose where they would like to sit during graduation, which means that students can sit with their friends, or they can choose to get a random seat assignment if they don’t have anyone to sit with. I was planning on choosing the random seating assignment, but recently I got caught up in a friendship fight (which I have 0 involvement in) between three mutual friends who are also seniors. Now I am being forced to choose sides, and don’t know what to do. I have until tomorrow, Monday morning, to make a decision. Thank you so much in advance!
I have three friends named Amy, Riley, and Alice (not their actual real names)
Long story short, Alice and Amy and Riley all had a fight over some untrue things that Alice said, and now Amy and Riley hate Alice. (Alice made untrue bullying allegations against Amy, Riley secretly recorded Alice saying all this and showed it to Amy, Amy cut off contact with Alice, and then Alice pushed some of the blame onto Riley, ensuing a fight between all three of them). However I get along well with all three of them and was never involved in the original fight. Amy simply told me her version of what happened, and later when I hung out with Alice, Alice gave me some brief details of what happened on her end.
2-3 weeks ago when I was hanging out with Alice, Alice asked me to sit with her during the graduation ceremony, and I told her maybe/I’ll think about it. But Amy and Riley do not want me to sit with Alice at graduation or keep my friendship with her. But I wasn’t even involved in the original fight in the first place nor do I want to be a part of it now. I don’t want to take sides and want to remain neutral. At the same time I know how much Amy and Riley were hurt by Alice’s actions, and if I sit with Alice then it’s sort of like giving the message that I don’t care about what happened to Amy or Riley and am the sort of friend who will continue getting along with someone no matter how badly they’ve hurt/betrayed my own friend just because nothing has happened to me. That would mean that I lose some of Amy and Riley’s trust.
What should I do in this situation? I don’t want to take sides and wish to remain neutral. Would it be bad if I choose to sit with Alice during the graduation ceremony and continue my friendship with her despite knowing how she has hurt Amy and Riley? I was looking for some advice on how I could proceed about this situation. I have until tomorrow, Monday morning to give Alice a reply and tell Amy/Riley as well, as tomorrow Monday is the first day of our graduation practice.
TL;DR three of my mutual friends(Amy, Riley, and Alice) get into a fight and now want me to pick sides between them. Amy and Riley don’t want me to interact with Alice, and Alice wants me to sit with her at graduation. What should I do?

I work with a much older team and I'm so sick of talking to people their age about houses. I am looking for my first starter home and try to do everything right. I went to community College before university, work full time, save up 20% for a down payment, drove old cars, no student loans and now homes have double in price and interest rates right when I hit the market. Yes price are coming down but for example in my area a home that was 120k pre covid was 250k during covid and now just slowly falling back down to around 200k but with double the interest now.
Talking to older coworkers they just whine when I mention I prefer to work remote and they tell me why not buy a home in a safe area in the richest suburb of my city. Homes there START at 600k for a shack and they have the audacity to tell me word for word "Just buy the house you won't think about price or interest after a few months" only for them to admit they paid 300k for the same homes ten years ago. What really burns me is the senior team members that make triple my salary having the nerve to tell me if I can't afford a 15 year mortgage or pay in full I'm not ready to buy a home because 30 year mortgages are a waste of money...

Hi everyone, I’m a decent rider (3.8 w/kg), 29 years old, 1.78 x 75kg. I can do a flat 100k ride in 3 hours while being in zone 1 and 2 and I can climb pretty well too. My issue is not with my legs, but with my lower back. Every time I get to the 80k mark I start feeling sore and uncomfortable, even if my legs go strong. I ride an endurance bike with a relaxed-ish geometry (bianchi infinito), that was set up for me by a bike fitter. Never had back issues of any sort, nor any other muscular issues. Any tips of how I can solve this? Has anyone had the same experience?
