Food stamps in texas 2022

We can't think of any of the Bronx would be comparable to the US. Now there's just so much violence crime poverty that the vast majority of the people there are getting by. It's frequent for me to see people eating out of the trash cans in the Bronx because there's no food and there's barely any clean water.

For starters, I’m driving a 2013 328i with 100,000 miles. I bought a new battery in November, 2022.
Recently I went to unlock my car to find it would not unlock so I used the manual key to get in.
Nothing electrical worked: headlights, interior lights, door locks, windows, etc.
I called the mechanic who installed the battery and he responded that I’d ‘left something open or on.’ He told me to charge it up and leave it running for a bit once it was charged. All things are possible in this world, but I’m meticulous about shutting everything off and closing the doors completely.
I had a friend charge my battery with a trickle charger-it took 2 & a half days and started up. I then had no problems for a week.
Friday after work I ran an errand, returned to the car and once again, my locked car would not unlock!
I got in with the manual key and held the remote up against the steering column while attempting to start the car as instructed by the dash message. It took about 5 tries, but it finally started.
I don’t think it’s the alternator; there are no signs of problems there.
I’m flummoxed-anyone got advice?
Note: it went back on the trickle charger Friday evening and started this morning, Sunday.

Capes and Conundrums
There was some excitement around Skathac, some which the more, sensible, party-killer kind of girls were speaking up against.
The first madwoman had shown up. Oh sure, she hadn’t done very well. She’d basically run into the person that played Deathstroke and that was considered just asking for it. But it was happening! The city was changing and it was becoming more like the comics!
Only one in every ten girls thought this was a problem. The statement from The Undaunted was that they would need volunteers to stress tests their tests so that they can properly categorize the events they would be running in the city.
There were just shy of a million women signing up and most of the men on The Undaunted had at least a chuckle about the fact that the first thing stress tested was the attendance sheet and schedule.
“Are you honest to god CHEATING on an open book test!?” Shortly followed by the suspension of disbelief and patience of the examiners.
There are some complications, especially as some women have all the grace of a drunken rhinoceros and are in firm, firm denial about their lack of capacity. Needless to say, tests one and two cut off a surprisingly large amount of the crowd. Leaving the third test less congested than feared but far more so than they hoped.
They were quick to rush the girls from one test to the next so that there wouldn’t be any sharing of information about the actual solutions. It did help, and many girls were caught up in the thrill of things. However... there were still issues.
“What do you mean I can’t just pry it out of the pipe!?”
“You have been told you don’t have to and that doing so is a failure of the testing parameters! Get out! You signed a contract not to damage things and you have anyways! Skedaddle!”
In order to speed up test four the alert whoever gets caught as soon as they do as many, many women find that stealth just isn’t something they’re good at. It’s not that they can’t sneak or hide, it’s that most of them are so impatient that a hyper toddler would tell them to calm the hell down.
A thousand women make it to where Five different men playing Deathstroke are waiting. Thankfully they’re spaced out time wise so each of them is properly tested. There is a roughly half and half pass and fail rate.
The tests take seventy two hours to finally finish up and everyone in the base takes a shift proctoring a test, monitoring them on the security or playing the part of a supervillain.
When the triple shifting is done and over with there’s a half day to recuperate beyond standard break times before an announcement is held. They need a few more schedules to work out but everything is ready. Start practising your evil laughs, things are about to shift into high gear.
There’s a cheer that echoes through the entire blimp/base.

The scene is as gruesome as it sudden. A murdered woman deliberately posed in a lifelike manner, the blood seeping from her wounds and staining the area around her. It’s a level three scene and there is a limit of ten women in the area.
Which means that there’s a lineup until the announcement of more scenes opening up draw the crowds away.
Leaving only a small crowd of women to comb over the area and try and piece things together.
Several blocks away a level one test has a robbery with the entire building half frozen in an iceblock and a few streets away is one on fire.
Those are the low level ‘mysteries’ with battles that are higher level. No villain fight is below third level and just taking on a ‘thug’ is a second level event.
Which means that the real show is when the first fully qualified Sonir swoops into the area and dodges a beam of cryogenic energy. The armoured man physically resembles the Batman and Robin version of Mister Freeze, but the cold stare is straight out of the animated series.
“Batman.” He intones in a cold dead tone. “You will not stop me.”
Ice floods the area as thrilled contestants take cover. There’s more to do in order to take down Freeze.

“You forgot to use the one liners.” Santiago teases the slightly smaller man.
“I’m not doing the Schwarzenegger routine.” The other soldier says after their first day of full proper events.
“Oh come on! Chill out! You need to stay cool and not just let the excitement freeze over! This is as much entertainment as actual combat.” Robin teases.
“Don’t you have a child to abuse? Fuck off.” The man snaps back and Robin raises an eyebrow.
“That’s going a little hard. What’s got you so upset?” Robin asks.
“I just... I’m just still coming to terms with this. I understand this is a powerful recruitment and training tool, I understand that this is amazing for PR and allows all kinds of weapon testing. I know for a fact that I’m basically... I mean.” The man says before taking a deep breath. “I understand that this is practical, but I’m getting serious cognitive dissonance from the absurdity of our actions and the already proven value of the outcomes.
“That will pass, just remind yourself how many different ways you’re superior to the fragile little thing called a villain and much of the stress will fade away. I am no Bane, I am better than Bane. I am stronger and smarter. More importantly my mind is intact in the places where Bane’s is not.”
“Maybe, but... Mister Freeze is a little different. He’s less a villain and more desperate. He...”
“If he were in our reality and not printed in a comic book he would have already cured his wife and perhaps himself. Even if not done by his own hand a healing coma each would have seen both fit and free and the villainy finished. The more you look at most villains, even the more sympathetic ones, they quickly become less so. How many has Mister Freeze killed to try and save one person? How many happy lives has he utterly destroyed because there is no more in his own. Do not feel for the villain, that is the greatest trap they have over you.” Robin says. “Outside of a comic Deathstroke would have had a bounty on his head so huge that no one would deal with him honestly. Joker would be shoot on sight, even if Black Mask or The Penguin or Zsasz got out due to technicalities or bribery they would have been wiped out in random violence or poison. Comics are not reality.”
“No, reality is even more absurd in it’s own ways.” The man says and Santiago nods.
“See? You’re getting it.”
“Hey guys, oh hey Freeze! Didn’t get your actual name.” Pavel says as she shows up with a tray heaped high with food.
“I thought you had another hour of being Deadshot.” Santiago notes.
“I did, but then the girls damaged the lead up scenes and that bit was cancelled. There’s talk about monetary penalties on top of things being cancelled, but that’s not my department. I just shoot things.” Pavel says before chuckling. “Although from what I overheard before they realized the mic was still on, YOU have a lot more work to do Robin buddy.”
“Oh, okay.”
“That’s it?”
“The work can be boring, but it’s a good productive boring. So long as they let me listen to music, which they do, then it’s a very solid shift.” Robin says and Pavel clucks his tongue in disappointment.
“Well boo! I was hoping for more! Where’s the rage? Where’s the rant? Where’s the fun?”
“I’m in legal, it’s filed away.” Robin jokes and Pavel huffs a bit in amusement. “By the way, his name is Darius Sarris.”
“I see. Good to meet you.” Pavel says and gets a nod from Darius. “So I heard a little bit from the chow line. You’re not liking this?”
“I’m struggling with it. For all that this is goofy as hell I’m struggling to have fun with it.” Darius says before he runs a hand through his short blond hair. “It’s just... I understand it’s use but... It’s still sinking in.”
“I think I get it. Granted I haven’t had any problems with it.” Pavel says. “Chin up, things are only awkward the first few times. After that it gets much easier.”

Shadowflight grinned to herself as she crawled along the ceiling. She was wondering who exactly would be her opponent after this. The little announcement that retesting can only be done after you complete at least one event at your highest level had been encouraging. And now here she was. Collecting clues once more.
She was fairly sure. She was almost entirely sure, but she needed to scan the last few rooms in order to make completely sure.
There was nothing to be found. Which means it had to be a Black Mask Case. She slips through the building. The image of a few elite bots finally rolling in catching her eye. She slipped out and takes off between guard patrols. She reaches the sideroom where she inputs the aaddress. It’s accepted and she steps through the emerging door.
She’s suddenly above a high rise apartment, stepping out onto the roof and directly across the street in a penthouse apartment is the villain in the skull like mask. A villain who abruptly turns to face her. There’s the crunch of gravel behind her and she rolls to the side.
A staff slams into where she was a heartbeat ago.
“Hello batman.” The mocking and derisive tone coming out of Deathstroke’s mask is almost chilling.
“Hello Robin.” She says cheerfully.
“Stay in character.” He chides her before rushing with the staff. She slams down a homemade smokebomb she brought into the test and dodges the attack. He swings widely to try and keep her back before launching upwards, but she was counting on that.
She hits his side and due to the Axiom she pulled in they both go rolling despite the sheer weight difference between them. He holds her away with the staff and a quick fight over it begins. One she’s not likely to win so she simply lets him have it and tries to use that moment of unbalance to land a good shot in.
That’s when things start to fall apart as he is NOT unbalanced and the staff slams into her forehead and she’s sent staggering backwards. “Oh bloody hell. You’re not letting up are you?”
“Why would I detective?” ‘Deathstroke asks and then swings. Shadowflight then kicks off a pummelling force of wind hard enough to send him skidding backwards with a single sweep of her wings. “Surprising!”
She launches herself at him and avoids the jab withe the staff and uses it as a platform to try and get an angle to attack on him. But he simply lets it go and gets one over on her as he grabs her by the foot instead of the other way around and slams her into the roof. “Not enough!”
He then throws her towards the entrance way to slam her against the wall and be done with her. She stops herself gently enough to not be dazed by the slam and shifts to the side fast enough for Deathstroke’s knee to the chest to miss hard enough that he’s left hanging in the air for a moment.
Her fist meets his mask followed by the other before she grabs him by the helmet and tries to pull him by it. It comes loose but she was ready for that and turns it around to try and hammer him in the head with it.
He dodges that as well and backs away. “Aggressive.”
“... Robin, are you honestly wearing an eyepatch to stay in character?”
“Yes, and you should stay in character too.” Robin says before drawing the sword on his back. “Now I will end this quick!”
His opening thrust is barely caught on the helmet and it starts to go through the hardened metal. She twists it to try and break his grip, but his retaliation is a boot to the back of the knee that folds her up and sends her to the ground. Where she slams a smokebomb down and fades away.
“Losing your nerve batman?” ‘Deathstroke’ asks before there’s a rush behind him and he takes a swing with his sword that causes his helmet to bounce away as it’s flung off. There are other rushes and he swings at each one in the same flawless movement... then.
‘click’
His left wrist is clasped into a cuff and he dodges away to try and escape before a blast of wind catches him in midair and dispels the smokebomb to reveal Shadowflight. Then she throws out another directly where tumbles into and even as he rises up she’s on him, wrestling with all four limbs and then lets out an ear piercing scream that causes him to flinch.
‘click’
“I win.” Shadowflight says as Robin feels the cuffs around both his wrists and he chuckles.
“Distraction on distraction after distraction. Well done. You’ve passed.” He congratulates her even as the room fades, but the smokebombs and smokebomb residue do not. “This chamber will need to be cleaned. But well done. Very well done.”
“Thank you.”
“Now go jump on El Rhino to celebrate or something, I have to prepare for the next one in.”

First Last

I just got lab results back from a new doctor who did a comprehensive metabolic panel. I have a history of orthorexia (the Whole30 made me malnourished and ruined my relationship with food) but am now struggling with binge eating.
I thought intuitive eating would help. Well it turns out my hunger cues are a big mess, and because of me being so afraid of restricting again, I have eaten my way to gain 28 pounds in the past two years. If you were to look at a photo of me, it wouldn’t appear to be that dramatic since some is muscle gain from me working out, but it is still negatively impacting my mental health and now physical health is at risk.
Now that I’m diagnosed with insulin resistance I am angry, frustrated, and scared.
I’ve read that calorie deficits don’t always work for this (which I’m not sure is true), and generally low carb helps, but other than that I don’t know what to do.
I’m also afraid that they’ll have to give me a medication and I’m worried about side effects making my anxiety worse or messing with my stomach.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Is it possible for me to lose this weight sustainably without relapsing back into restriction? I want to lose weight for health, happiness, and my mental health.
But I’m too scared to move forward with it because I honestly hate diet culture so much and I hate what it’s done to me and my mental health.
*yes I see a therapist. I just need some encouragement right now, or even help calculating a deficit that won’t negatively impact my metabolic health. I also see a dietician, but she’s never been for “intentional weight loss” and I might have to move on from her but am willing to see what she says about my diagnosis.

I(23F) recently turned 23 and around 8 months ago I started gaining weight. At first it’s was a little right now it’s around 15 lbs. My diet didn’t change and if it did it wasn’t drastically. My clothes still fit but some areas are a bit snug. I mostly gained in my hips, butt, thighs and lower stomach. In my teens I struggled with body images issues and problems with food, I finally found a weight I didn’t mind being at and my body was good at maintaining that weight. Now I feel like my body is betraying me. I’m trying very hard to lose the weight by exercising and track what I eat and how much. I never ate “bad” and I never overeat. This is very strange to me and I went to the doctors about this and they seem to think I’m under tracking food or plain lying. (Im going to ask them to be tested for PCOS next time I go back) I’m freaking out and I don’t want to go back to a dark place. Does this have anything to do with getting older and being a woman? Did anyone else magically gained weight around my age?
If it’s normal and my weight starts being steady I think I’ll be fine, but it keeps going up with no explanation.

Growing up my father at first wasn't such a bad guy we did have happy moments, he got arrested when I was around 6, or 7, and he was at home a lot because they put him or house arrest. I remember during this time he actually spent time with me. We watched anime, he taught me how to play video games, we played COD together. When he got off house arrest he wasn't around as much, he was a drug dealer. He started to become more abusive to my mother as time went on, at first he would just yell at her, then it turned into him beating her, trying to stab her, chasing her, most times my mom would have to run and lock herself in the bathroom. Most times he was not home because he was out running drugs around, or partying. I remember every time he got home mom would tell us to hide. My first memory as a child is the police kicking in our door and my father was trying to jump out the window to get away I watched the police taze him. When I was young I hated the police because of what I had seen. My dad often times would come home at 3 - 4 am in the morning and I remember him moaning "help me, help me" it scared me so much. Or other times he would be very violent. It got to the point my mom couldn't take care of us anymore because she was too depressed, she would lay in bed and cry all day. I had to take the responsibility of waking up making breakfast lunch and dinner, and taking my two brothers to school, I would only go sometimes because cps used to make visits and I would have to stay home the previous day to clean the house so we wouldn't get taken away. I was 10 at this point and it sucked, I didn't have my first birthday party or sleepover until I turned 16, because the house was so dirty we weren't allowed to bring people over. My dad used to steal my moms money she got from government assistance, and use it for drugs, alcohol and paying people money back. One time my mom told him he's not getting the money because we had no food, we were eating out of a bag of sugar and canned stuff we would get from the food bank, he took a knife to her neck and tried to slice her open. It was all so terrible I could keep going but there's way to much stuff that happened.
We got taken away when I was 12 because my fathers mother called the police on him because he was chasing my mom around the street trying to harm her, and that resulted in us being taken away. We went to go live with my fathers family because they lied in court saying my mom was a psycho, and that she abused us when it was the other way around. My mom couldn't afford a lawyer so she had to represent herself in court and it didn't go well. Once we got living with my fathers family it was ok at first then after about 6 months she started being emotionally abusive, and it turned physical when she knocked out my 13 year old brother. I overheard conversations of my fathers sister saying that we were good money and how we would never be treated the same as her biological children. We ended up being taken away again, and we haven't seen our mom since we got originally taken away at 12 because my fathers sister wouldn't let us see our mom. Ever since we got taken away from her I'm 21 now, they said it was my fault because I told the social workers about the stuff that was going on, about her being abusive, and how its my fault my brothers have trauma being taken away. They don't talk to me because they truly believe that, they are the most manipulative, narcissistic people I have ever come across in my life. My brothers have supervised visits with them and my brothers came back and told me they were talking badly about me to my little brothers, saying I'm a bad influence and my brothers stood up for me telling my fathers sister that all the stuff they were saying is not true and she needs to shut her mouth. I don't know where she got I'm a bad influence from, all I do is go to work and come home, Christ she doesn't even have a job herself or her own car or her own apartment, I have all those things, she is living with her 65 year old mother. This was all recent and this is why I'm writing this, I just hate them we didn't deserve any of this. that side of my family is CRAZY.

Sorry for the HUGE rant but man I gotta get this off my chest. I hate that side of the family so much, my father is in the hospital now apparently from frying his brain from doing to much crack, and they expect me to feel bad for him and that I should come visit him, LOL as if, he couldn't even give me a proper apology for being a shitty parent, the only thing he has ever said to me since that all has happened is, "I wish I could of been a better dad but i'm not"

I have twins who were in the NICU since December; 160 day stay and now they’re home with me and MY health anxiety is through the roof. I apologize in advance for my rambles.
They are 8 weeks corrected but almost 6 months actual age. It’s been an incredibly hard transition from 1 to 3 as a newly single mom. We moved across the country last week and my daughter, L, is showing severe allergies/reaction on her cheeks and neck. There isn’t a specific time of day this is happening, but it gets worse when she runs hot or cries. It’s not scaly, a little bumpy, but it will ooze if it gets irritated enough. I tried keeping it dry, moist, lotion, etc. It never fully clears up and comes back especially when she’s eating from a bottle is when I notice it getting pink and then red, and usually within an hour or two of eating (breastmilk) her cheeks are fire engine red and she’s agitated. First doctor (local pediatrician) gave a cream and suggested steroids/Benadryl and she screamed every time I applied it, so I went to a second doctor (dermatologist online over the weekend) and that doctor basically ruled out eczema and said this doesn’t appear similar at all. The next steps are allergy testing for food and environmentals and possibly FPIES? She seems so uncomfortable all of the time. Her twin sister has no issue eating, no skin issues, no different bottle/milk setup, etc.
What should I expect/ how can I prepare for testing? I don’t want to see her miserable. Should I continually document this with pictures, etc? Go find another doctor ASAP? The wait is about 2 months for testing unless I drive her to another state and pay out of pocket. I’m extremely nervous this could get worse quickly or spread to other areas.
Edit: I tried reaching out to their birth father for any childhood allergies or skin sensitivities and haven’t gotten a response so I have no extra info to help narrow it down. Thanks!

Alright so one day the vending machine was fucking up like usual and this new hire a Middle Aged asian lady that I’ve never met saw me having trouble with my card so she offered me a bag of chips she brought for her lunch. I was like sure why not, I didn’t want to be rude. I’m a male by the way.

I don’t want this lady’s damn food. She came up again to me later in my shift and asked If I had it yet and I said no. I just left it in the fridge and did my normal thing for lunch. I know she is going to come up to me on my next shift asking me to eat her food she made. How do I tell her I don’t want her food without her getting upset? This is all just weird to me I’ve never had a lady insisting I eat her food yet alone she said she’s gonna start making me meal?? Like wtf is going on.

When I started Wegovy I was posting updates every dose increase. But I haven’t posted an up date since I started 1mg. I’m now on my second week of 1.7mg, with my 3rd dose to happen in 2 days.
With 1mg, I started to get really worried. I felt like my appetite was back in full force. I also wasn’t having any side effects. (Not that I’m wishing for those, but it does give me an indication that the meds are doing SOMETHING.) My weight really plateaued at 1mg as well. I only lost 3 pounds in that month.
Now, on 1.7mg, the side effects are back in full force. Sulfur burps, digestion swinging back and forth between extremes, and fatigue. And I’ve lost 4lbs in 2 weeks. I feel the effects on appetite and satiety too. I feel back to “Wegovy normal.”
But I think the most poignant thing for me on this dose so far is how it has affected my taste, and my relationships with coffee and alcohol: On a whim on Friday night I joined some friends at a neighborhood bar. I hadn’t had dinner yet (low appetite problems) so I ordered chicken strips and French fries. Not ideal diet food, but trust me 90% of the time I’m really good about what I eat. But while others were talking about how good the chicken strips were, I couldn’t stand them. My partner had to eat most of them for me. Same with the French fries. That has never happened to me before. Likewise, I had one drink that night. In the past, I’ve never felt able to stop at one. My brain always craves more and more alcohol. Not this time. I stopped at one. Didn’t feel the need to have more. And finally with coffee - I used to drink 5+ cups a day throughout the day. And in the mornings I always felt like I NEEDED it. Since starting 1.7? One, maybe two cups are enough.
All that is to say, I’m glad I held on to hope and kept up with my diet and exercise on 1mg when I could have let myself get discouraged and complacent.
I will note that I do track calories and macros most days (I know that doesn’t work for everyone. For me lately it’s honestly to make sure I’m getting enough protein.) I also have been living a very active lifestyle: I lift 3-4 days a week, train Jiu Jitsu twice a week, hike once a week, and on the weekends my partner and I usually do a 20+ mile bike ride. That certainly helps the weight loss. But Wegovy has still certainly made a difference!

Hello. I am hoping to get some advice on my cat. He is 7 years old, neutered, and weighs around 16 pounds. Around December of this past year, he got constipated. I took him to the vet and they did an X-ray which showed he did not have megacolon but was backed up. They did 2 enemas and he came home that afternoon. I gave him 1/4 tsp miralax with wet food. I was giving him Fancy Feast canned food at the time. Prior to that he was only on dry food. I was giving him Science Diet Metabolic dry food mixed with Purina one indoor dry food.
Things were going good so I stopped the miralax and just assumed this was a one time thing. Haha. Was I ever wrong.
Just a couple months ago, he got constipated again! Same thing basically happened. He went to the vet and was given two enemas. Brought him home that afternoon. This time was told to give him 1/4 tsp of miralax every single day and also get some Purina one hydracare. So that’s what I’ve been doing this whole time. I might skip a day here or there with the miralax. But I’ve been mostly staying up on top of it. Also, he gets the hydracare every other day or so. He’s been on the fancy feast wet food as well. But I actually just ordered some science diet wet food for 7+ cats. He actually had his first can this morning.
I noticed him straining in his box this morning and thought “oh great, this again!” A little while later he threw up. He’s drinking water good and even had some hydracare as well. But still keeps taking trips to the litter box and straining. I feel awful for my baby. He acts okay too. He’s been up here with me purring.
But why is this happening again??? I’ve done everything the vet told me to do. I plan to take him to the vet tomorrow and speak with them about a prescription food for him for this issue.
I’m also worried it might be megacolon. I don’t want that for my baby! Back in December they did an X-ray and said he didn’t have megacolon. Could it suddenly just start? I’m afraid if this keeps happening, that’s what will happen.

Hi all! When I've used Hyper-V on client Windows as host (Windows 10 & 11), it would automatically install with a Default Switch created that was very helpful. It provided basically NAT while also managing a built-in DHCP and providing an Internet connection.
When I'm using Windows Server 2022 as a host for Hyper-V however, this Default Switch no longer exists. Is there any idea why? How can I create the same Default Switch behaviour with NAT, DHCP and Internet in Hyper-V on Windows Server 2022?

This rune-free O3 event has me thinking: this should be the standard. With O3 being one of the hardest dungeons in the game, it is quite difficult to get into one.
1) It isn't a poppable dungeon 2) Only possible once a realm closes 3) Requires an INC for winecellar (not always done) 4) Requires 3 different runes (very rarely done)
With these being the case, it takes an incredibly long time to be able to get into an O3. Not only that, but it has one of four random mini bosses and THEN the main boss. Not to mention the mini bosses alone are more difficult than more than half of the MAIN exalt bosses. Those including: Nest, Cult, Fungal, Crystal, LH, and Void.
All this makes it difficult to practice the dungeon creating an exhausting experience rather than an exciting one. Even MORE so if you don't have a lot of time to play. I still believe it should keep the above qualities to keep the dungeon itself exciting, however, there should be other ways to practice the dungeon. Which brings us to my idea:
Allow a command in either Vault and/or Guild Hall that allows you to freely pop a PRACTICE ONLY dungeon. To balance this, there should be no drops outside of maybe hp and mp potions, and completions do NOT count toward anything (exalts, missions, statistics, ect). Maybe there are practice characters given once inside the dungeon, or maybe you allow us to use our own charcaters. Idc if I have to practice on a 0/8 or an 8/8. I just don't have a lot of time to play and want to be able to practice when I have the time to do it.
Obviously it's not necessary, but it is just an idea that hopefully gives food for thought. Will still do my best to get there even if it takes an entire year
