2023.03.24 04:07 lxquidity Ex Cop Indirect Harassment

Hi Thread - this is one of my first posts on Reddit and would appreciate some guidance.
We moved into the second floor unit of a pet friendly apartment with a small/young cat. Below us, lives an ex police office who has been constantly calling ownership complaining that we are making noise during quiet hours. He has made complains during 10p and 3a - all which I know we are not making much noise at all. The most noise I hear is when the cat get the “zoomies” and will run down the hallway. Feel free to play devils advocate here.
This has been ongoing for ~2 months now, almost to the point of harassment. I’m not sure how to handle the situation other than to cooperate with ownership to try and reduce the noise traffic (which I have already purchase rugs for the flooring).
Has anyone had a similar experience to this? Am I in the wrong to start calling ownership on him? Or even file a police report against him for harassment?

I have a database with information about grocery products. Each product may contain different amounts of various nutrients. So, I have:(product)-[:CONTAINS { qty: 1, unit: "foo" }]->(nutrient)
There is a small set of measurement units that can be used, so I'd like to create Nodes to represent them and add relations between them to make converting between units easier.
Is there a way to link to a Unit node as a Product - Nutrient relation attribute?

Greetings, Reddit Ensemble!
The current's season Prestige Cup cars are the Honda LB Works NSX-R (Purple and Gold Star). They were initially introduced in season 163 (September 15, 2022 - September 29, 2022) (OTA Update 4.0.x) as Crew Season (Top 10 Crews) and Milestone (20M Crew RP milestone) Prize cars.
Both cars will need between 2 and 4 stage 6s in order to beat the Cup or you can get thru the Cup with all stage 6s, uncommon (green) and almost all rare (blue) fusions fitted. Don't forget to claim your free Prestige Cup crates in Rare Imports, but before doing so, claim the stage 6 from Race #28, to avoid duplicates.
The Honda LB Works NSX-R is an amazing tier 4 car, that will serve you well in live racing and in the Tempe5t challenges, but for Tempe5t, you will need to completely max the car. It's not only part, but is the fastest car for the current Championship ShowDown.
Honda NSX:
In 1984, Honda commissioned the Italian car styling house Pininfarina to design the concept car HP-X (Honda Pininfarina eXperimental), which had a C20A 2.0 L V6 engine in a mid-mounted configuration. After Honda committed to a sports car project, the company management informed the engineers working on the project that the new car would have to be as fast as anything coming from Italy and Germany. The HP-X concept car evolved into a prototype known as NS-X, which stood for "New", "Sportscar" "eXperimental".
Honda settled on a non-VTEC, 3.0-liter double overhead camshaft 24-valve V6 engine selected for the production model. This engine generated a maximum power output of about 250 hp (186 kW; 253 PS) and 282 N⋅m (208 lb⋅ft) of torque, with a redline of 7,300 rpm. However, at the same time, Honda was working on its revolutionary VTEC variable valve timing system, with plans to release it on the company's home-market 4-cylinder Integra. Honda's then-president Tadashi Kume, himself a highly skilled and respected engine designer, questioned the NS-X designers' logic in foregoing the VTEC system for Honda's new flagship sports car, while it was being used on the lower-market Integra. As a result, the engine was redesigned very late in the development process "to achieve the desired levels of performance and durability"; Honda designed a new cylinder block with 6-bolt main caps and larger cylinder heads to contain the complex VTEC mechanism. Innovative connecting rods made from a titanium alloy were used to lower reciprocating weight, while increasing overall rod-strength—something which increased the engine's maximum rpm by 700, resulting in a final redline of 8,000 rpm. A consequence of this last-minute engine change was that the new C30A engine was too large to fit in the NS-X's engine bay, which had been carefully sized for the smaller heads of the non-VTEC DOHC 3.0 liter engine. As a result, the engineers were forced to tilt the entire engine backward approximately 5 degrees- a characteristic that continued all the way to the NSX's final production in 2005.
The exterior design had been specifically researched by Uehara after studying the 360-degree visibility inside an F-16 fighter jet's cockpit. Thematically, the F-16 came into play in the exterior design as well as establishing the conceptual goals of the NSX. In the F-16 and other high performance aircraft such as unlimited hydroplanes along with open-wheel race cars, the cockpit is located far forward and in front of the power plant. This "cab-forward" layout was chosen to optimize visibility while the long tail design enhanced high speed directional stability. The NSX was designed to showcase several automotive technologies, many derived from Honda's F1 motor-sports program.
The NSX was the first production car to feature an all-aluminium semi-monocoque, incorporating a revolutionary extruded aluminium alloy frame and suspension components. The use of aluminium saved nearly 200 kg (441 lb) of weight over the use of steel in the body alone, while the aluminium suspension arms saved an additional 20 kg (44 lb); a suspension compliance pivot helped maintain wheel alignment changes at a near zero value throughout the suspension cycle. Other notable features included an independent, 4-channel anti-lock brake system; an electric power steering system; Honda's proprietary VTEC variable valve timing system and in 1995, the first electronic throttle control fitted in Honda production car.
With a robust motorsports division, Honda had significant development resources at its disposal and made extensive use of them. Respected Japanese Formula One driver Satoru Nakajima, for example, was involved with Honda in the NSX's early on-track development at Suzuka race circuit, where he performed many endurance distance duties related to chassis tuning. Brazilian Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna, who won many races in Formula One with Honda before his death in 1994, was considered Honda's main innovator in convincing the company to stiffen the NSX's chassis further after initially testing the car at Honda's Suzuka GP circuit in Japan. Senna further helped refine the original NSX's suspension tuning and handling by spending a whole day test driving prototypes and reporting his findings to Honda engineers after each of the day's five testing sessions. Senna also tested the NSX at the Nürburgring and other race tracks. As a result of Senna's input, Honda took the NS-X prototype to the Nürburgring to tune the chassis stiffness. Over the course of several months, the chassis was refined in a painstaking process: Nakajima would drive a lap on the circuit and then discuss with the Honda engineers where he felt flex in the chassis. The engineers would hand-weld aluminum braces in the area they believed would fix the issue and send the driver back out to confirm. This process was repeated over and over, with the data results sent directly to Honda headquarters in Japan, where it was fed into a Cray supercomputer and translated into reinforcements in the production aluminum monocoque. As a result of this process, the NS-X chassis stiffness increased by over 50% with only a small increase in weight. The suspension development program was similarly far-ranging and took place at the Tochigi Proving Grounds, the Suzuka circuit, the 179-turn Nürburgring Course in Germany, HPCC, and Honda's newest test track in Takasu, Hokkaido. Honda automobile dealer Bobby Rahal (two-time CART PPG Cup and 1986 Indianapolis 500 champion) also participated in the car's development.
Honda NSX-R:
Honda decided in 1992 to produce a version of the NSX specifically modified for superior track performance at the expense of customary creature comforts. Thus, the NSX Type R (or NSX-R) was born. Honda chose to use its moniker of Type R to designate the NSX-R's race-oriented capabilities.
Honda engineers started with a base NSX coupé and embarked on an aggressive program of weight reduction. Sound deadening, the audio system, spare tyre, air conditioning system and traction control along with some of the electrical equipment were removed. The power leather seats were replaced with lightweight carbon-kevlar racing seats made by Recaro for Honda. However, electric windows and fore/aft electric seat adjusters were retained. The stock forged alloy wheels were replaced with lighter forged aluminium wheels produced by Enkei, which reduced the car's unsprung weight. The standard leather shift knob was replaced with a sculpted titanium piece. Overall, Honda managed to reduce approximately 120 kg (265 lb) of weight as compared to the standard NSX, resulting in the NSX-R's final weight of 1,230 kg (2,712 lb).
Due to its mid-engine layout and rear-end link travel, was susceptible to a sudden oversteer condition during certain cornering maneuvers. While this condition rarely occurred during normal driving conditions, it was much more prevalent on race tracks where speeds were much higher. To address the problem and improve the NSX-R's cornering stability at the limit, Honda added one aluminium bracket under the front battery tray and added one bracket in front of the front radiator to add more chassis rigidity replacing the entire suspension system with a more track oriented unit, featuring a stiffer front sway bar, stiffer suspension bushings, stiffer coil springs and stiffer dampers.
The standard NSX has a somewhat rearward bias in its spring and bar rates, where the rear was relatively quite stiff versus the front. This means that the lateral load transfer distribution, or the amount of load that is transferred across the front axle versus the rear while cornering, is rather rear biased. This can make the car quite lively and easy to rotate at low speed, but during high speed cornering, this effect becomes more pronounced and could be a handful to manage. To reduce the tendency to oversteer, Honda fitted softer rear tyres on the NSX. For the NSX-R, Honda reversed the spring bias, placing stiffer springs on the front suspension along with stiffer front sway bar. This shifted the load transfer stiffness balance farther forward, resulting in more rear grip at the expense of front grip; this had the effect of decreasing the oversteer tendency of the car, making it much more stable while cornering at high speeds. Overall, the NSX-R utilises a much stiffer front sway bar along with stiffer springs than the standard NSX (21.0 mm x 2.6 mm front sway bar: front 3.0 kg/mm, rear 4.0 kg/mm for the NSX versus front 8.0 kg/mm, rear 5.7 kg/mm for the NSX-R).
Honda also increased the final drive ratio to a 4.235:1 in place of the 4.06:1, which resulted in faster gear changes. This change improved acceleration, which was 4.9 seconds to 60 mph, at the expense of top speed, which was 168 mph, and a higher locking limited-slip differential was installed. Also, the NSX-R's 3.0-litre engine had a blueprinted and balanced crankshaft assembly which is exactly the same labour-intensive high precision process done for Honda racing car engines built by highly qualified engine technicians.
Beginning in late November 1992, Honda produced a limited number of 483 NSX-R variants exclusively for the Japanese domestic market (JDM). Factory optional equipment such as air conditioning, Bose stereo system, carbon fibre interior trim on the centre console as well as the doors and larger wheels painted in Championship White (16-inches at the front and 17-inches at the rear) were available for a hefty premium. Production of the NSX-R ended in September 1995.

Hey all-
I'm a 31 year old human who happens to be trans. I grew up in a very fundamental independent Baptist church ever since I was 3 years old. Beforehand I was a catholic. My dad was a catholic, and my mom was methodist growing up.
I wouldn't necessarily consider my views as progressive, but I am definitely not super evangelical/conservative. I clearly believe that it is OK to be lgbtq and Christian, and I believe abortions up to 20 weeks should be legal for all.
Theologically, I do not believe that the Bible as we currently know it is infallible, as translations have caused significant errors in the Bible as we know it. The stories aren't literal stories but mere recollections of stories passed down for hundreds of years until they were transcribed into what we know as the Bible. As the scrolls were written in Hebrew and Greek, and the original translators understanding of Greek and Hebrew are not what they are today, I believe that the current Bible is not fully accurate. I do believe that the stories of the Bible are based on true events, but due to the translation issues, I am unable to believe that it is infallible.
I do not, however subscribe to the notion that others from other religions like Buddhism, Hinduism, Muslims, confuscious, Pagans will inherit the kingdom of God. The bible is very clear in this statement, across numerous verses in both the old and new testaments.
Currently I go to a methodist church, ironically the one where my old scout troop as a kid was. I don't view them as being of the progressive Christianity sect, but they definitely are not of the evangelical or global methodist viewpoints. They are very accepting of LGBTQ peeps.
Historically, I've been kicked out of several baptist churches for being on the lgbtq spectrum. The pastors didn't take too kindly of me confiding in them about being gay, and suggested several ex gay ministries to try, along with their version of conversion therapy. I do live in a very conservative part of the USA, where there are predominantly southern or independent Baptist churches. 3 local methodist churches have voted to disaffilliate, and others are considering it.
If you put me in a baptist church, I am definitely a liberal. If you put me in a progressive church, I am a conservative. So that means that I am a moderate.
My question is: How do you reconcile your beliefs in your current church? Do you view yourself as a moderate or a progressive Christian? How have your previous pastors or clergy reacted towards lgbtq people?
For the independent/fundamental baptists who have become accepting of LGBTQ - what changed your beliefs/opinions? How did you deal with it in that church environment?

Then fear not, the Spirit is for you!
Well. Welcome to the new sub-series, guys. I thought covering the bows under a specific sub-series would be fine, as there are only 4 of them and you guys requested me to cover the bows. We will start the saga by the first, the core, then slip down to the later arrow yeeting technologies.
Before we start, I want to warn you guys of one thing: I'm not very good at detecting design queues when it comes to arrow launching weaponry. It's because of a thing that is also existent with break action shotguns: bows are simple tools, and there isn't much of any upgrade that can be done to them other than materiel developments.
What this means is that I will not be able to talk about a vast weapon history or take a deep look at the in-game rendition of the bows. I'm terribly sorry for this shortcoming, but unfortunately this is the situation. As the Japanese would say, "shouganai".
Anyway. Let's begin with the trivia and in-game information, shall we?
Spirit DDX is a core weapon in this game. It was the sole bow you could use for a very long time, until we got the... umm... the bow on the next episode on this saga. Back then, if you wanted filthy big numbers of points in events, your only choice was either the event weapon, the rifles or this thing. Because they were the only three options for 5x multipliers. They later down the road nerfed the rifles and bows down to 4x multiplier.
It was quite the bespoke thing, as it had its own DC event and everything. It's almost identical to the Spectral DC nowadays, except for the reasons that will become quite clear in a minute, it was much less enjoyable.
Other than being the grandfather to pretty much every bow in the game, this was also the specialty of Daryl Dixon. I'll have to say though, I really couldn't like Daryl all that much. I mean, the guy comes up and bullies the rest of the camp group about his asshole of a brother, first things first. I get it, family is important, but they actually end up going back to Atlanta because this boy with a crossbow wouldn't stop whining about Merle Dixon.
Also, I'll have to demolish a really overrated myth right here, which is bows being better because of their quietness.
Yes, they are quiet. But if you do end up getting swarmed, lack of sound won't mean anything, and you'll end up with a single-shot weapon which is cumbersome to reload, aim and shoot. With a firearm, there are much less problems about getting second, third, fourth or fifth shots. Besides, if you're worried about drawing attention, then you should probably get moving before you get swarmed in the first place.
I honest to god cannot imagine where you absolutely have to use a bow over anything else. It has a maximum effective range of a 12ga birdshot, it's very susceptible to wind and elevation even in very close ranges, it's cumbersome to operate, so on and forth.
Anyway, with that out of the way, let's get to the numbers.
Spirit is capable of 20,480hp damage on maxout per bolt. While the reload is looking very promising at 800 in-game units, the fire rate is at a maximum of 120 in-game units. And of course, this thing is a single-shot.
I swear to god, whenever I attempted to use this, it felt so slow that I gave up and finished the run with my secondary. It says 800 units reload speed, but god is it ever so slow.
The one silver lining to this pack of clouds is that you have 100% chance of getting your bolts back from the corpses (unless you run Explosive Ammo). Yupp, you technically have infinite ammo, as long as you don't run Explosive Ammo.
Now, the verdict on this guy is an absolute no. I don't need to emphasize the billion reasons why. It's a big no-no.
Having to deal with this thing one bolt at a time while getting hammered by hundreds of walkers is just not the worth the point multiplier. Who cares if you killed a shit load of zombies with it if you died with 200ft to the end of the run.
You can't really hordebreak with this thing because of the single-shot arrangement (even with Explosive Ammo this thing is underwhelmingly weak) and for a survival weapon, there are way better options that would keep you from getting mass mauled by a bunch of meatbags. I honest to god don't know why would anyone use this.
Sure, it's a weapon that technically has infinite ammo, but you cannot use the only ammo type that can make it look like a weapon if you wanna utilize that feature. So who cares anyway.
And the other option is basically unnecessarily increasing the damage output. You don't kill a zombie deader if you increase the damage output on this thing.
Unless you're a Daryl Dixon fan or someone who thinks bows are better than guns (I will never understand that notion) I cannot recommend you this. Hell, even if you prefer bows there are better options out there.

I’d ask you what brings you here but I already know.
I was saddened to hear about your general store. Are you and your daughter holding up ok?
I warned you last year that this was going to happen. The landlords were not going to tolerate the unionization of the tenant farmers. Between the drought, the price of beef, and the agitation. They were going to break the leases and just use the land to graze cattle. The tenant farmer system is on its way out to begin with. And there goes the town, and there goes your customers and there goes your store. I guess if nothing else all these people get a clean break. Still though it's hard to watch them pile into their cars and go out west, nothing to their names, nothing to show for their lives in this town. They’re just castaways now.
I warned you, but you wouldn't listen. You had something to prove I guess. Daddy issues maybe?
It doesn't matter I guess
So do you have my money?
Grocer places some cash on the table and she counts it.
Six hundred seventy three dollars.
You’re short by about three hundred. I shouldn't need to remind you that you agreed to pay me one thousand and one in exchange for my assistance this year. Just as you have for the last decade.

Grocer beseeches them to let them go
Oh stop your pleading, you signed the contract.

I don't understand why you can't seem to wrap your head around this! I want what I’m owed. I’m going to have to leave town too, you know. I’m going to have to go to the big city.
And besides I’ve seen how you treat the people that are in your debt.

And you were perfectly happy to take advantage of the fact that you were the only place in town they could buy anything. The friendly neighborhood grocer, always willing to extend a loan if they couldn't cover it all in one go.
I bet before you came here you went around to all these people that had just lost their livelihoods to collect every cent they owed you! Hoping and Praying that it would be enough! You were out there squeezing people that had just lost everything.
And when you come up short, you ask me for something you never gave anybody else. You ask me to accept less than what I’m owed, when you yourself never would.
I didn't cast a spell to give you only seventy percent of a year's prosperity. I delivered the full measure.

When that cholera outbreak happened I didn't put only seventy percent of a purification rune on your well. I gave you the full measure. You made a mint selling that clean water.

She pins them against the wall. She's angry.
One word. One word and I can end you. Wipe away your ugly little life. And there's a voice in my head screaming at me. Telling me to do it. To do one good deed, wipe out a sketchy loan shark that risked his own child's life for his pride! but we both know I don't have the right.
For all my lecturing and moralizing I’m just as bad as you are, and there's far worse out there than either of us. You’ll be spared for now

If it eases your mind any I’m not going to do anything to your daughter. Frankly I just believe she deserves a parental figure that wouldn't ever put her life at risk for their own gain, and I’ll be happy to fill that role.
We leave tonight. For the big city. Out there there's a man like you in every office, in every precinct, in every church, in every debating hall, from the hill to the gutter. Desperate men willing to make deals with a creature like me.

2023.03.24 03:29 Humble_Association69 Green card sent to the wrong address, would it be weird to knock the door and pick it up?

Kind of urgent so I will put my question at first would it be super weird if I show up in some strangers house to pick up my mail???
Story:
I enter the country with the IR5 visa on February. The card is mailed out today. I was suspicious about the address when I didn’t receive my initial Social Security card.
When I went to the social Security office (you’re supposed to go to the Social Security office if you don’t receive it in the first two weeks after your admission to the United States, if you choose so when you apply for a visa).
The officer actually told me the address they received from USCIS. ITS AN NEW JERSEY ADDRESS I HAVE NEVER HEAR OF. The Social Security office actually got super serious and asked me to ask USCIS to do a investigation on it.
So I called USCIS. The representative clearly told me they are NOT going to do ANY investigation. The only thing I can do is submit AR -11. And since the card was already in production, there is no way he could interrupt it (basically saying list nothing he can do).
My case was initially in New York then transferred to Pennsylvania. There is no way I will fill up a New Jersey address under any circumstances. And I don’t have a lawyer nor a representative.
The residential place (a regular suburb house) is only 2 hours away . I’m thinking either: I will wait and submit a request that I have never received the card or maybe I would just drive up there and knocking on the door and explaining this whole situation to the house owner and hoping they will just give it to me.
Advice???😅😅😅

2023.03.24 03:29 SmellsLong Construction without permits in our building. And a rental company that is now ignoring us.

My partner and I moved into this loft style apartment last summer. The building is two stories: top story has ten rental units and bottom is multiple larger commercial spaces. As far as I know the building is owned by the company we rent from. They are a real estate company that also have commercial and residential rentals. We are in the state of Washington.
Construction in the commercial spaces began in January. We did not receive any notices. It seemed to be focused in one small space at first. It was extremely loud as they were breaking up the concrete and obviously making some pretty large changes with pretty big construction equipment. We called our property manager within the first week asking what was going on and expressing how hard the noise made it to be at home. Our questions were dodged and the information we received back was minimal.
About two weeks in we were evacuated from the building by the fire department due to build up of carbon monoxide throughout the building. Apparently a worker below was operating or idling a concrete saw without proper ventilation. The property management never acknowledged this beyond a group text to let us know the building had been cleared hours later.
After this incident we started to get a lot more concerned not just about the noise, but for our safety. We noticed no building permits were posted. I did a little more digging into the city permitting archive and found that there were no active permits for that address. I brought this to the property managers attention and was told that they didn't need them. After a complaint to the local building and permitting department it was learned that they lacked building, plumbing and electrical permits for the site and they were given a stop work order. We assumed this would resolve the issue and at least make the situation safe even if construction continued down the road.
Not too long after we were awoken at one am to the sound of drilling in the building. We called our local crime check line and my boyfriend went downstairs and confronted the workers. They barely spoke English and were very scared the authorities were called. The Forman showed up and expressed that they were told to work in the night when no one was around. We were fed up with the whole thing. The next day we had a conversation with the property manager and let them know what we had seen, that we knew they had no permits and a stop work order, and that it was unacceptable. They said if we did not feel safe at the property we could discuss an early termination of our lease.
Taking a couple weeks to talk about our options my partner and I decided it would be best for us to leave. The construction has continued during this time. During the day its pretty much impossible to enjoy our apartment and we pay quite a bit. The lack of sleep and anxiety from noise and sketchy construction work has started to effect us both mentally. We made a call to the same manager almost two weeks ago saying we wished to move forward with the option of lease termination and were told they would get back to us in two days (that Thursday) with more information and another contact within the company to work with. We never received any word or contact. We sent the manager an email mid day Thursday to check in and after still nothing sent an email to anyone in the company we could find involved on the rental side. Including one company owner. The final email expressed our frustration with the lack of communication, the continuing construction despite lack of proper permits and a carbon monoxide exposure to all residents and our desire to end our lease because of an environment that we feel, because of construction ,is unsafe. And still one week later no reply.
We feel like we have tried everything. Earlier in the week we publicly posted videos of our apartment with extremely loud construction audio with the companies instagram profile tagged. Two days ago we called and left a message requesting a callback. They are ignoring us. We have come to terms with the fact that we will have to possibly obtain a lawyer to help us navigate the situation.
I apologize. I know this is a lot of info. Just looking for advise. I feel like we have enough reason to legally break this lease. My partner and I both feel they are not doing their jobs as landlords to provide us a safe and reasonably enjoyable space to rent. Any information helps!

2023.03.24 03:27 alien236 I (29M) Really Like This Woman (27F) but I'm Okay with Being Just Friends and She Was Really Friendly but then She Changed

So first off, I (29M) am autistic and socially awkward, and I've sometimes made women uncomfortable in the past by saying or doing the wrong things. This has left me extremely paranoid and afraid to even try to connect with them. But when I can manage it, I'm more comfortable in platonic relationships with them than with other men. Some of my most cherished friendships are with married women. I always hoped that someday I'd have a friendship that just naturally, smoothly evolved into romance, because that's how my parents did it, but they aren't autistic and the older I get the more I realize that isn't going to happen. If I ever have a romantic relationship it will take a lot more effort and communication.
I stopped attending the church I grew up in a while ago but I still go to weekday activities because I'm lonely and I have friends there. This woman (27F) moved in a few months ago. When I first met her I thought she was super cute but I figured she would just find me a nuisance if I made an effort to get to know her, so I didn't. I was surprised over the next couple months as I occasionally ran into her at activities and she just talked to me like I was a normal person. She seemed exceptionally happy and confident and genuninely interested in me as a person. Of course I assume she's like this with everyone, but I'm not used to it and it surprised me. Plenty of people are nice to me, but this was different and better in a way that's hard to explain. I felt like she saw me 100% as an equal and didn't think she was doing me a favor by deigning to talk to me. In any case, she was the proactive one in all our interactions. I didn't hassle her.
We've had a couple of longer conversations. The last one was when we crossed paths while both going to eat at the local university campus. (She's a student there and I'm not but I still go for various things because it's close and the center of the community.) I picked out my table and got my food first and then she came up right behind me and we talked. She asked where I was sitting and she joined me. Cautious about not overstepping boundaries, I told her she didn't have to sit with me, but she said it would be a nice break from school stuff. She referred to me as a friend and rather than feeling "friendzoned" I just felt honored that someone like her would already consider me a friend. She initiated a fist bump before heading off to class. (That's the sort of thing that as an autistic person I always have to overthink. I wouldn't have dared to touch her or initiate touch in any of the normal ways that friends do.)
Since getting to know her a little, I really like her, but I can't see myself trying to date her because I'm a train wreck and she's not. Yeah, I'm sure she has issues like everyone does, but if they were as big as mine she wouldn't be able to hide them. I think she'd be better off with someone less broken. And yet if by some miracle she wanted to date me, I wouldn't want to preemptively discourage her. And yet in the more likely scenario that she doesn't, I still want to be good friends and spend time with her because she's really fun and smart and interesting to talk to, and I don't want her to ghost me for fear of leading me on. And I've considered just explaining all this to her as soon as I get a chance, but she might just find it weird because it's not something that neurotypical people say. So my first question is should I do that or no?
In the few weeks since we ate together I haven't seen her at church activities. Then I saw her at the campus library last week when I just popped in to see what exhibit they had in the lobby. I was shocked and unprepared to see her there and not entirely sure it was even her, so I didn't say anything. She looked away and bit her lower lip. Then some guy came up to her and they said something to each other and walked away. Whether they're dating or not I have no clue. I chose not to worry about it. But I am worried about the lip bite. From what I read on the internet, it means a woman is uncomfortable, but was it just some kind of generalized discomfort, or was it some specific concern about me? In either case, it was a 180 degree change in her personality. I didn't think she had a shy or awkward bone in her body.
Then tonight I saw her again when I went to eat on campus. I eat there the same day pretty much every week for the discounted drinks. This time I was already eating at my table and I saw her go get her food and again, for a moment I didn't recognize her, and she was too far away to talk to from where I was. We made eye contact and she didn't smile or wave or anything. I should have, but my brain was frozen. I hoped she would come over to my table but instead she went to the opposite end of the room. Now I realize she may have any of a million personal issues going on that account for the change, but I'm so afraid it's because of me and that any attempt to be friendly with her going forward will only make things worse. And I guess nobody here can read her mind to know the answer either, but any insight at all would be more than I have. Should I give up on interacting with her further at all?

TLDR: I (29M) really like this woman (27F) but I'm okay with being just friends. She was really friendly but then she changed and started acting awkward. I don't know if it's my fault, what I should say to her, or if I should just leave her alone forever.

All of you, the synth lords, saints and sinners, the time you’ve been waiting for has come: we are listening! Music lovers united in the rain, or under the moon. Shy one, you’re not invisible. We see you! You’ve been of utmost help the whole time and we’ve been relying mostly on you lately. Looks like you’re the one whose heart and mind are in their places. Should they be backwards, we realized that listening to the latest material in the reverse order tells quite a different take on the whole Hammerhead situation.
(No chance we’re all just nuts, right? That bridge was burned long ago.)
I hope dreamers under the stars can use these words to talk to you in their own voices. The pilot, pain, hurt and fear, and even the boys from L.A. The guy we need to remember. Everyone else. This is my attempt, this thing that has taken shape inside of me needs to get out. I write this in the evening preceding the event it all seems to be leading to. Six hours left in my timezone. I’d really like to go into detail on how my Bodhisattva and I cracked the code, listened to the call, joined the revolution… Looking between the lines and always finding another piece that fits. A great plot, but for a different opportunity. Presently we’re here to share the jist of our findings.
(I’m confident they are somewhat accurate.)
A technophile in a punk band that ran into the synthesizer. Once a driver, now a pilot, he’s the one flying our starship. The writer wrote the plan as such, not without approval from all of us. Hope and Pain - the penultimate lesson he understood. At that moment he thought he would go out and “do good”, but he had done good enough! Hope and Pain. That’s for us, dead Ghost Nation. Our misfortune seems to be that the pilot is not aware. Either that or he’s indeed an android. He’s the original one, precogged and inserted the whole story into sounds that led his army to two number ones right from the start.
The pilot crashed at Wimbledon, two powers emerged: He who is never heard and those bound by the contract. A few years later, hurt shed its tears for pain. There is at least one more on the same level that I know of, but I still couldn’t catch up to them under this new light. And who’s to say how many others. There’s also something apparently analogous going on in the west. Cross-genre messages are traded. The shape jungle beat boys are taking screams for a monarchy of roses.
A couple of years ago, Gary was pissed at all of you. Your response on the radio was massive and now here we are, standing on the edge of collapse (but nothing can keep us down)
I don’t think much is gonna happen right now, a big shock is never a good thing. I hope it just vindicates them to both ours and their own eyes. I keep a positive attitude because we will carry on what you started. We who loved you, then sometimes hated you, because “why the hell do you only sing about yourself and some random chick?”, we get it, ok? Everybody shares the same responsibility over the message and everybody can play a part. I step forward to say this absurd. I play the part that relays our first feedback to you. I am merely a “Copy that!” and yet, my pain was just the same; the responsibility is the same because it is just as important to everyone.
No one asked me to do this. My relief is being held hostage and this is ransom. I’m also the one holding it hostage, so I’m pleased to have the opportunity to come out of the shadows, allowing our kind to be seen by you (should the other listeners allow me such indulgence).

Team,
I was recently referred for an MEB by my PCM for 2 conditions;

OSA w/ CPAP causing somnolence (MSLT) requiring an alerting medication.
RA diagnosed by a Rheum requiring 2 pills but no injectables.

A few days later I received a call by the MEB office to submit some docs via email to get the ball rolling. I turned them in and a couple of days later I received a call by an MEB doc. I wasn't privy to the format of the telephonic interview, but I was told to discuss why I was referred. I related the two above conditions, and I was instantly met with some hostility due to their professional opinion that the OSA (severe) + stimulant was not an appropriate condition for referral despite being a no-go IAW AR 40-501. The doc verbatim stated that she would no longer discuss the OSA with me and asked about my 2nd condition, which she felt was more appropriate to sell the board on. She did relate that she would review my entire medical history and place what she felt was appropriate for the board. The conversation was one-sided, and I may have spoken 12 or less words in hour-long chat.
A couple of days later I was cruising Tricare online and I noticed an individual uploaded a pre-separation sheet with one condition for the MEB referral; L5-S1 herniated disc. I've recently scheduled the first meeting with my peblo, and I was wondering if I should or could discuss these initial conflicting interactions?
Context: The herniated disc was discovered via MRI 6 months ago, along with DDD, stenosis, and another bulging disc in the same region (L4-L5 L5-S1 gang unite). I did PT at 2 installations, that occurred before and after the imagery was exposed. The 2nd round was a complete waste of time due to booking with a shitty civilian PT who held that "O's don't get profiles" mentality. Eventually, I made it to pain management for an injection, which hasn't changed any of my symptoms, however, the doc was really receptive to my symptoms. It's been extremely frustrating dealing with the healthcare system, and I understand that some soldiers weaponize it, but in my case the imagery doesn't lie. The apparent difference in professional opinion from reading the PT's notes from my last eval vs the initial eval with pain management is laughable. Meanwhile, I just want to lay down on train tracks because the pain gets unbearable on a daily basis with no reprieve.
IDES Process: I'm super early in the process, but with a decade of AD service I'm trying to gain as much situational awareness as I can to make the most out of this process for my family and I. Based off preliminary research, it seems spine injuries typically get rated low by the DOD due to the ROM tests. I will be sure to continue to review the rating passages and execute the ROM tests accordingly. What else should I be aware of moving forward to submitting my VA claims for C&P exams and reviewing my NARSUM with Dr. Asshole?

Hi!
I (29F) am agnostic and was raised in mixed marriage between Catholic and Muslim, neither one of them was really religious. My bf (30M) is Catholic, was raised in Catholic family, not really so religious (rarely attending Church, but they have Catholic pictures and Crucifix on wall).
We are in relationship for over 8 years, and have lived together for 7. When we met he wasn’t religious, but now he is a bit more. He isn’t really attending Church often, but does read a lot.
Anyways I personally respect religions and find them interesting, but am not partaking in them. I always had my own beliefs. When he started showing interest I was there for him. Together, when we visit other countries, we go and check out Cathedrals (I deeply respect old architectures) and I even helped him with picking out Crucifix (the necklance one). He doesn’t wear it, but it is hanging on one shelf on our wall.
Today he came home and all happy showed me what he bought. Really big picture of Jesus in Greek style. I was shocked. That might come little off, but I really was. He saw it on my face and first wanted to protest me, and said something in lines “oh, but we share apartment”. I told him I never imagined I will have an icon in our home, or anything such as. When he asked me why I don’t want to have it, I told him I feel some kind of aversion to it. And I really do, I don’t know how to describe it differently. Then he told me he will put it in his drawe.
I went to my study, and he was telling me oh how I was happy all day and shouldn’t be so serious. But I was so shocked and needed space to think, so I took the dog out and went for a walk.
During the walk I thought of it, and I feel like I am denying him something, even though he was cool with my reaction. But I feel like a bad person. At the same time I really don’t want something like that in my home, it’s like I am feeling it in my stomach. Just on the thought of having such picture displayed my stomach is turning upside down.
It’s only a picture, up until today I didn’t even know I have such strong feelings regarding something like that.
Later we talked and he told me the religion is most important for him. The next 40-50 years that we are going to live are short, and he wants us to go to Heaven. I asked him how will I go, since I am agnostic, but then he told me that Christian man can take his wife to Heaven with him, if he earns it. Something like free pass I believe.
I really don’t mind his religiousness, but what if those items are really important to him? Still I will never be comfortable with such items “looking upon me” in my own home.
