I'm a student living in Europe and studying at a university residence. I've been facing difficulties in building relationships and improving my social skills. I'm reaching out for your help and advice.
I've noticed that whenever I start getting to know someone, I encounter the same issues. It seems that I struggle with being too nice, prioritizing others over myself, and not setting boundaries. I also find it hard to express my emotions and find common ground with people. Despite trying different approaches to change, I haven't made much progress.
There are times when I feel the need to be alone and think that people can be dangerous. However, as I'm starting to change, I realize the importance of finding supportive individuals who understand me.
Interestingly, I've discovered that wearing sunglasses helps me start good conversations. It conceals my fearful eyes and attracts people's curiosity. What do you think about this approach?
Moreover, my relationships tend to stay superficial. Conversations revolve around trivial topics like travel, exams, and university life. I want to break free from this pattern and connect on a deeper level (but also i cant since my cultural or knowledge is not so big i dont know why)

Earlier today i went to grab water for a couple minutes and came back to a blue screen saying unexpected store exception. After turning it off and back on it gave me bad system config info. I tried restarting and it attempted repairing disk errors for an hour. Still stuck with the proper boot device issue. I have two ssds but it only shows one thing in my boot options. Any help?

Hello, this is a strange issue I've been trying to deal with for over a week. I bought this entire PC last January (besides the GPU and a few drives) and had no issues with the setup. It was fully functional until a few weeks ago.
The first occurrence was in the morning, when I couldn't wake my PC after accidentally leaving it on the night before. A single click on the power button wouldn't work, so I held it and forced it off. At that point, it would no longer boot past the BIOS without freezing. It would occur either when trying to load the operating system (spinning wheel, but with ROG logo above) or after reaching the blue boot selection screen from Windows 11. I solved this first occurrence by disconnecting a specific SATA drive (not even a boot drive). Reconnecting only that one drive would make it freeze after BIOS again.
For about a week after that, the PC worked fine. The second occurrence of the issue was after a restart. I was playing a game, closed it, hit restart. When it started turning on again, it froze on the spinning wheel after BIOS. This time, I cannot fix it by disconnecting any of my drives. I have not successfully booted for about a week now.
Things I've tried so far (most of them 2-4 times, in no particular order):

Booting directly from recovery USB that was used to initially install W11 last January. Made sure no other drives were connected. Usually freezes on the purple "Windows Setup" screen. Keyboard/mouse remain on but unresponsive. I'm forced to hold the power button down to turn the PC off. Other times it freezes right before the purple screen, with the spinning wheel and ROG logo. I tried every single USB port on the motherboard Also tried formatting the USB again (not the fast one - took like an hour) and reinstalling the recovery media, then tested on a working PC.
Updating BIOS to latest version (did not update when first built, as I had no reason to). Current version should be 2204. I'll double check.
Removing GPU, plugging into integrated graphics. Testing GPU in another PC.
Running only my two boot drives. Sometimes I can even reach the blue volume select screen, but never without the whole PC becoming unresponsive and frozen.
Clearing CMOS on back of MOBO, also tried removing the physical piece for 10+ minutes. Used optimized defaults. Tested in another PC, the battery itself is functional.
CSM on/off.
XMP I/II/off.
Secure Boot - Other OS, Windows EUFI Mode, Default, Custom, etc. Cleared keys.
Swapping RAM slot 2 and 4, trying both alone in slot 2, and both alone in slot 4. Asus manual says to use slots 2 and 4 from the CPU. I would try different ram incase both sticks failed,
MemTest with no errors (4 passes). First time I tried it (a few days ago), I made it to pass 3 with no errors before I manually cancelled it.
Swapped power supply.
Used different wall outlets (has solved things in the past).
I don't have any other DDR5 ram to swap in, nor do I have another CPU/motherboard with this socket. I've likely tried other things, and I'll update this list as I remember.

 | This was my second visit to London (live in US). The first time was right out of college with my best friend in 2011. We watched the Arsenal v Fulham match and in hindsight, were probably watching the beginning of the end of the Arsene Wenger era. Then we basically walked around Westminster for a day taking "proof of life" pictures for our loved ones back home of typical British "things" both contemporary and historic to prove to them that we didn't just drink and party, then the rest of the stay, we drank and partied. submitted by THeWizardOfOde to ArsenalFC [link] [comments] This time, my best friend and I took our families and did not drink and party (the whole time). We also obviously were at the Wolves game, and it truly felt like we were at the end of the beginning of the Arteta era. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. There was a buzz around the ground like I have never seen before (mind you I have only been to 5 games in both Highbury and Emirates). The boys gave us a fond farewell to the season. Xhaka love was felt all through the ground. The starboy signed off in style. And even the new kid got on the score sheet. What more can you ask of. Pics below. At halftime, in order to fulfil my yearly pledge to be more helpful, I was passing out the free waters they had out for everyone and I spilt 75% of my beer on a 10 year old. His dad was a good sport as everyone around me very quickly ratted me out to him and started pointing and laughing at me. I obviously offered my condolences to the dad for his loss, and RIP to that kid, and my free beer. But worry not, I went to a different kiosk and got another free beer, and a free pint, which I quickly chugged like a college kid about have the spotlight shone on him from a cop car. At that moment I had 2 realizations, one, that I have reached an age where I can no longer do that. And two, that I no longer like the Camden "Hells Lager". There was a brass and snare quintet that paraded through the area before the match. And as someone who sees a lot of big bands as part of the fan experience in US sports, I have to ask the Europeans in the thread...Is this a new thing brought on by American owners? Or has this always been a thing? I have never associated European sports with "fight songs" and I didn't see this the past 4 times I've been to watch Arsenal. Just curious. After the game, my friend and I got hammered in and around the bars at Islington and we somehow made it home at 1am. The next day I had promised my son to go to the zoo, and it was the brightest day that I have ever woken up to. The whole experience was a blur or headache and nausea, and in hindsight, I should've just kept drinking. I also realized that day, that I hate the tiny little rubber doorstoppers at every freaking door of our AirBnB apartment. Why not just attach one to the door?? I kept kicking them away under the bed, or a nearby table in order to close the door and then getting yelled at by my wife. Having grown up in India...I understand the need for heavy doors and doorstoppers, but just install them on the bottom of the door you simpletons! This obviously goes out to the person who made that creative decision to not have that, not the general population of the UK, or London, or even that apartment complex. My son wanted to ride a double decker bus, and I did not. I was avoiding it the whole time as I find them a terror to society and I don't know who would want to sit on something that top heavy, moving at speed. He got his wish when we went to visit Stonehenge. We sat at the top, and every turn I felt like we were going to mass murder an entire crop of pedestrians standing on the curb. My son is 4, so he is pretty much a sociopath who craves the wanton destruction of property. London has amazing parks. We went to Holland Park, Hyde Park, St. James's Park, and Regents Park. As attractions that are free for the public, I hope you Londoners appreciate what you have. They are brilliant. Well done. As a history fanatic, the Globe was amazing, so was the Abbey. And the other little pieces of history that are dotted all around the city as we walked around. A lot of people we talked to, other tourists mostly, were complaining about how dirty the city is. Its not that bad. All cities are dirty. Stop being a baby. Now lets take a moment and talk about Heathrow airport and the workers therein. I don't know if the people who are suppose to pay them don't pay them enough. Or they are just made in a factory somewhere designed to make everyone's life a living hell. It was one of the worst experiences of my life. Everyone was rude, everyone was constantly rushing us, and everyone was sarcastic. Especially this one lady at security who I know hails from the same part of the world that I come from...if you're reading this, I hope a bird poops in your mouth. In conclusion. Thanks to the Arsenal fans/family for an amazing experience. Thanks to these wonderful players and our brilliant manager for an amazing season and final game. I fell in love with the city all over again, but figure out the fucking doorstoppers. Krill was mildly uncomfortable, and so was Sunny.
They had all been invited to what the humans described as a "black tie" event on mars, mostly for political delegations, rich sponsors, a couple of famous people, and the occasional member of the UNSC or the GA. Most of the GA reps were Rundi, since they tended to like this political sort of thing.
There was at least one Tesraki, who had made the executive decision to come, since he saw financial opportunity in getting to know some rich humans.
Sunny had been invited to stand in for the Drev counselor, who could not attend due to some issues back on Anum. Dr Krill and Dr. Katie had been invited to attend the event in case medical personnel were required for any reason.
Adam was the only one who had been invited for himself.
The black tie event had been sent by way of a physical letter which Adam had called, "Excessively pretentious." in a day and age where everything was sent electronically.
The fact they had managed to get a letter to him out in the middle of space in the first place was pretty impressive.
Sunny hadn't really known or cared what all of this meant, but Adam had been nervous and very serious about the dress code. Despite thinking the entire thing was pretentious, that didn't stop him from immediately sending away for his mother's help.
Sunny was, of course, encouraged to wear ceremonial formal armor to the event.
Krill was keeping very close track of this odd human behavior, constantly asking questions as Adam was preparing himself.
"Why don't you just wear a regular suit?"
"Because that would be a social faux pas."
"A what?"
He sighed,
"I don't know, it's french or something. I think it's a ballet term. It just means it would be a social screw up and people would totally judge me for it."
"They would judge you for wearing the wrong thing?"
Krill wondered curiously, Adam nodded,
"That is the point of these parties, and has been for the last two and a half thousand years. These parties are honestly just the biggest pissing contests where people try to out dress each other in subtle ways, and the old people who know what they are doing make fun of the new people for having no idea how to do it properly."
Krill looked interested,
"How fascinating. So, it is a way to show your status subtly?”
"Oh yes. Status is a big deal. It started to go out of style for a while, but this whole adherence to dress code has come back with a vengeance in the last few years. The fashion world has seen an upheaval in pretentiousness, and celebrities have been laughed out of parties for trying to be avant-garde."
"To be what?"
"Sorry, pretty sure that's also french too? It means new, interesting, or out of the ordinary usually to make a statement."
Sunny leaned in a little,
"And they expect an air force commander to know how to properly dress for black tie?"
"They don't, which is why they invited me. I am supposed to make others look good by looking bad myself. Of course, I also make them look good by being invited in the first place. Of course, joke's on them because I have a secret weapon on my side..."
He patted the front of his shirt,
"Thank you mother."
"I am now confused."
Adam waved a hand,
"Yeah, I know, It's pretty stupid…”
"I thought you recently decided that you like dressing up?"
The human turned in place a couple of times in front of the mirror, trying to get a better view of himself,
"Correction, I have always enjoyed dressing up – got that from my mom – what I don't enjoy is the pissing contest that comes along with it.”
"What is that?"
"Bow tie."
"You look like someone's Christmas present."
He adjusted the bow tie,
"Well than someone is getting a sexy as fuck Christmas present now aren't they?"
He said and winked at Sunny, while buttoning up the front of the 'waistcoat' and pulling on the jacket.
When he was done, the two aliens had to admit that he really did stand out, all in black, black pants, black tuxedo jacket, cuff links, black tie, black waistcoat, and a purple/blue carnation threaded through the buttonhole on the lapel.
His shoes were almost as reflective as the mirror behind him.
"How do I look?"
"Like a goofy idiot, but the suit wasn't going to change that."
He lifted a finger to flip Sunny off.
"Not very dapper of you."
Katie said from the doorway.
They looked up to see Katie, who had also commissioned a dress from Martha, and honestly made Adam look a little plain.
"Ready to go?”
"As ready as I will ever be."

Krill kept a shrewd eye on all the strange human protocols.
As far as dressing up went, Krill could immediately see who the “In-crowd” included. Most of those people understood the rules Adam had laid out for him, wearing the proper evening attire, where those not in the “in” wore clothing that approximated the rules, but missed them on several occasions.
The way the evening was set up was a little bit more like a “ball” as Adam described, being announced as they were walked in, and then ordered them to mingle with the crowd. Adam and Katie got a few glances from the “in-group” who seemed surprised that a simple ship captain would know anything about formal evening attire.
Sunny just found the entire thing hilarious.
All of this subtle dressing up to impress each other?
If Drev held balls, instead of dancing they would probably just beat each other to death.
But here, there were a lot of subtle clues and hints that went right over her and the Doctor's heads, while Adam seemed to know what he was doing.
As they walked in waiters offered Adam an alcoholic drink, while Krill received sugared water, and Sunny a rather strange tincture that was generally just water with plant flavoring... It was pretty good though, so she didn't complain.
They were met on arriving by the event coordinator, whose eyes opened wide when she saw Adam, pausing and holding out a hand.
Due to the conflated and rather twisted nature of black tie events in the future, Adam took the hand, and bowed a bit, lowering his head, a strange area between the less formal handshake and the more formal kiss on the hand, which was also not a thing in societies post WWIII
"Commander, I... you look..."
She trailed off, even to Sunny it was clear the woman hadn't expected him to know anything.
He smiled icily at her.
Krill leaned in in fascination.
This was one of the most intriguing parts of humanity. The polite way in which they were totally rude to each other.

Sunny muttered,
"She couldn't coordinate herself out of a paper bag."
He winked at Sunny and Krill,
"You can't out-dress the son of a historical fashion expert. Simply not possible, my mother even used the correct materials."
He tugged lightly at his jacket.
Dr. Katie had disappeared on entry, leaving the three of them to wander about the room as Adam pointed out the other important people.
There were a few military commanders, Rundi, and the aforementioned Tesraki.
There were at least five major political leaders, and even larger handful of actors who had their hands in charities or political causes related to the event.
Adam was only halfway through his first drink, when he was waylaid by one of the younger actors.
Even Sunny could tell straight off that he was not dressed appropriately.
He had clearly tried very hard, but his efforts were in vain.
While everything looked alright from a distance, up close something was wrong about everything. The material of his jacket, the style of his shirt, the type of pants, the lapels on the coat, and even the patterned pocket square, which should have been a solid color but wasn't.
He was joined by another group of men, who then began some pretentious conversation about noticing how Adam was new to these sort of events. The way they spoke made it pretty clear they had no idea who he was or what the proper dress code was either.
Adam smiled and didn't say anything.
"And what do you do for a living?"
One of them asked,
"Simply an UNSC representative."
"Ah that explains a lot."
They glanced down at him with pointed looks.
The conversation continued. Sunny wondered why Adam didn't just shut them all up by telling them exactly who he was, but Krill had a theory that Adam was just playing with them as a human way to build up the moment so that he could socially crush them.
As humans do, their conversation wandered until it eventually moved around to the UNSC and other related topics.
One of the men nodded knowingly,
"I am somewhat knowledgeable on the subject myself."
Adam raised an eyebrow.
"Are you?"
"Well yes, I have a brother in law who flies shuttles and planes for the UNSC. Tell me, what is your opinion on the D-4 class engine on a F-90 darkfire. I honestly think they are rather overpowered for what is being asked of them."
Adam frowned,
"The darkfire doesn't have a D-4 engine. That is a warp classification which-"
The man raised a hand,
"No no. I heard my brother in law talking about it. Personally, I think they should have just kept the jet engines they would have been plenty enough power to make it into orbit.”
The commander's face scrunched in confusion as he shook his head,
"No, it's a fusion engine, and the jet engine can't fly in the upper atmosphere because there is no lift-"
"Look, Adam, was that your name? I generally tend to know what I am talking about. The darkfire jet engines would have plenty of power to make it into atmosphere…"
"But it’s a jet engine which implies it is for a plane and not for a rocket-"
The guy cut him off again and continued to ramble onward about how he took some engineering classes in college and would know what he was talking about. Since Adam Joined the UNSC and didn't go to college, that he probably didn't know anything at all, or at least that is what they said in not so many words.
Sunny was getting a bit annoyed and would like to have squished the guy, but Adam just shook his head at her.
She stayed silent and grumpy as the other men continued to correct Adam on knowledge of his own favorite aircraft.
*"My brother owns a spaceship with a class E warp core.”
One of them boasted. Adam rolled his eyes,
"There is no such thing-"
"My brother owns the craft, I am pretty sure I know what I am talking about. It's one of the most powerful cores in the galaxy."
"Um, I don't think…"
"Yes, the E is more powerful than the A. A ship like the Harbinger or the Enterprise would only make it part of the way across the galaxy but the-"
He kept going.
Adam looked like he was dying, but why didn't he say anything?
It was just then that someone appeared from the crowd.
Sunny recognized a political figure they had met at GA summits on occasion.
He raised his glass and stepped into the group,
"Ah commander! I am glad to see you could make it."
The group of men glanced at each other in confusion.
Adam nodded,
"It's good to see you too counselor."
He motioned to the group,
”We were just having a fascinating discussion on warp engines."
"Oh yes?"
He turned to look at the men,
"Than I am sure the commander has also told you about his escapades as a darkfire pilot."
The satisfaction Sunny got from watching their faces was priceless, almost orgasmic.
She could tell from the look on Adam's face that he was feeling similarly,
"Well, no we had not made it to the subject…”
"I was just going to explain to them how the duel E 20 engine has both a jet engine and a fusion engine. The jet engine for flying in atmosphere and the Fusion engine for moving out of atmosphere considering that the jet engine is not powerful enough to lift the craft without air buoyancy."
Sunny was laughing on the inside.
"Ah yes. I seem to recall a discussion along those lines. Tell me commander, what about the Harbinger's engine is it a class A-1."
Adam nodded,
"Could potentially get you to the other side of the universe if you asked her. The classification system is A-D 1-4 on each, so my ship has one of the most powerful engines mankind has ever bothered to build."
He glanced out of the corner of his eye at the other men, who were beginning to slink away.
Sunny chirped in pleasure.
The rep nodded as they left,
"I heard the futility of your conversation from the other side of the room."
"Thanks for the help. I was dying inside."
The two men laughed and took their drinks.
Krill was very pleased with his examination on how humans subtly tried to one up each other with their dress and understanding of certain topics, though it seemed odd to him that someone would claim to be an expert when it was, in fact, their brother or brother in law who knew about the subject and not them.
But he supposed that was the social nature of humanity.

They had all been invited to what the humans described as a "black tie" event on mars, mostly for political delegations, rich sponsors, a couple of famous people, and the occasional member of the UNSC or the GA. Most of the GA reps were Rundi, since they tended to like this political sort of thing.
There was at least one Tesraki, who had made the executive decision to come, since he saw financial opportunity in getting to know some rich humans.
Sunny had been invited to stand in for the Drev counselor, who could not attend due to some issues back on Anum. Dr Krill and Dr. Katie had been invited to attend the event in case medical personnel were required for any reason.
Adam was the only one who had been invited for himself.
The black tie event had been sent by way of a physical letter which Adam had called, "Excessively pretentious." in a day and age where everything was sent electronically.
The fact they had managed to get a letter to him out in the middle of space in the first place was pretty impressive.
Sunny hadn't really known or cared what all of this meant, but Adam had been nervous and very serious about the dress code. Despite thinking the entire thing was pretentious, that didn't stop him from immediately sending away for his mother's help.
Sunny was, of course, encouraged to wear ceremonial formal armor to the event.
Krill was keeping very close track of this odd human behavior, constantly asking questions as Adam was preparing himself.
"Why don't you just wear a regular suit?"
"Because that would be a social faux pas."
"A what?"
He sighed,
"I don't know, it's french or something. I think it's a ballet term. It just means it would be a social screw up and people would totally judge me for it."
"They would judge you for wearing the wrong thing?"
Krill wondered curiously, Adam nodded,
"That is the point of these parties, and has been for the last two and a half thousand years. These parties are honestly just the biggest pissing contests where people try to out dress each other in subtle ways, and the old people who know what they are doing make fun of the new people for having no idea how to do it properly."
Krill looked interested,
"How fascinating. So, it is a way to show your status subtly?”
"Oh yes. Status is a big deal. It started to go out of style for a while, but this whole adherence to dress code has come back with a vengeance in the last few years. The fashion world has seen an upheaval in pretentiousness, and celebrities have been laughed out of parties for trying to be avant-garde."
"To be what?"
"Sorry, pretty sure that's also french too? It means new, interesting, or out of the ordinary usually to make a statement."
Sunny leaned in a little,
"And they expect an air force commander to know how to properly dress for black tie?"
"They don't, which is why they invited me. I am supposed to make others look good by looking bad myself. Of course, I also make them look good by being invited in the first place. Of course, joke's on them because I have a secret weapon on my side..."
He patted the front of his shirt,
"Thank you mother."
"I am now confused."
Adam waved a hand,
"Yeah, I know, It's pretty stupid…”
"I thought you recently decided that you like dressing up?"
The human turned in place a couple of times in front of the mirror, trying to get a better view of himself,
"Correction, I have always enjoyed dressing up – got that from my mom – what I don't enjoy is the pissing contest that comes along with it.”
"What is that?"
"Bow tie."
"You look like someone's Christmas present."
He adjusted the bow tie,
"Well than someone is getting a sexy as fuck Christmas present now aren't they?"
He said and winked at Sunny, while buttoning up the front of the 'waistcoat' and pulling on the jacket.
When he was done, the two aliens had to admit that he really did stand out, all in black, black pants, black tuxedo jacket, cuff links, black tie, black waistcoat, and a purple/blue carnation threaded through the buttonhole on the lapel.
His shoes were almost as reflective as the mirror behind him.
"How do I look?"
"Like a goofy idiot, but the suit wasn't going to change that."
He lifted a finger to flip Sunny off.
"Not very dapper of you."
Katie said from the doorway.
They looked up to see Katie, who had also commissioned a dress from Martha, and honestly made Adam look a little plain.
"Ready to go?”
"As ready as I will ever be."
Krill kept a shrewd eye on all the strange human protocols.
As far as dressing up went, Krill could immediately see who the “In-crowd” included. Most of those people understood the rules Adam had laid out for him, wearing the proper evening attire, where those not in the “in” wore clothing that approximated the rules, but missed them on several occasions.
The way the evening was set up was a little bit more like a “ball” as Adam described, being announced as they were walked in, and then ordered them to mingle with the crowd. Adam and Katie got a few glances from the “in-group” who seemed surprised that a simple ship captain would know anything about formal evening attire.
Sunny just found the entire thing hilarious.
All of this subtle dressing up to impress each other?
If Drev held balls, instead of dancing they would probably just beat each other to death.
But here, there were a lot of subtle clues and hints that went right over her and the Doctor's heads, while Adam seemed to know what he was doing.
As they walked in waiters offered Adam an alcoholic drink, while Krill received sugared water, and Sunny a rather strange tincture that was generally just water with plant flavoring... It was pretty good though, so she didn't complain.
They were met on arriving by the event coordinator, whose eyes opened wide when she saw Adam, pausing and holding out a hand.
Due to the conflated and rather twisted nature of black tie events in the future, Adam took the hand, and bowed a bit, lowering his head, a strange area between the less formal handshake and the more formal kiss on the hand, which was also not a thing in societies post WWIII
"Commander, I... you look..."

This has baffled me for the past 25 years. I’m hoping someone can provide insight, or at least an educated guess.
Shortly after sunset, August 1998, in or near the Badlands park of South Dakota. I’m with a group of people and we all saw… 1) Shimmering white aurora to the north, nothing spectacular. 2) Gradually an aurora beam forms from the main formation stretching directly overhead, nearly to the opposite horizon. It reminded me almost like a spotlight, except it shimmered slightly and had no apparent source on the ground. 3) A second beam begins to form. This beam is perpendicular to the first, crossing directly overhead. It also stretched from near horizon to near horizon. This whole thing lasted maybe 15 minutes before fading away.
I’ve been trying to get an explanation for this ever since, to no avail.

DISCLAIMER: This is with a PVE host running a 5900X, 128GB RAM, and a GTX 1080.
Wondering if anybody has successfully gotten vGPU functional with Ubuntu VMs. Been working with u/Lukas245 to get it working and we're at a god damn loss. Here's what we've tried so far:
We've followed PolloLoco's guide and confirmed we had vGPU functioning on the host and could pass vGPU with an A profile to a Windows 10 VM. Profile was overridden to the following (NOTE: nvidia-49 is a Q profile):

display_height = 1080
max_pixels = 2073600
cuda_enabled = 1
frl_enabled = 0
framebuffer = 4294967296
pci_id = 0x15F711DA
pci_device_id = 0x11DA
We have effectively spoofed the 1080 to a P100 12GB. The idea is that the profile gives the VM 4GB of VRAM, one vGPU instance is going to get passed to a Jellyfin VM, the other is going to get passed through to another Ubuntu VM.
Solution 1:
-Install Ubuntu 22.04 in a VM without secure boot
-Ran sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
-Ran sudo apt install gcc
-Ran sudo apt install make
- Ran nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf
Put the following in said conf file:
blacklist nouveau
options nouveau modeset=0
-Ran sudo update-initramfs -u
REBOOTED
-Ran chmod +x NVIDIA-NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-525.85.05-grid.run
-Ran sudo ./NVIDIA-NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-525.85.05-grid.run
RESULT: After it finished "building kernel modules" it threw us an unable to install NVIDIA driver error, was complaining about the nouveau driver still potentially being loaded. Confirmed with lsmod grep nouveau it was gone. UNABLE TO USE NVIDIA-SMI.
Solution 2:
-Install Ubuntu 22.04 in a VM without secure boot
-Ran sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
-Ran sudo apt install gcc
-Ran sudo apt install make
- Ran nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf
Put the following in said conf file:

Same as solution 2 on a 20.04 VM, same result.
Solution 4:
Tried manually downloading the driver for Linux x64 for a P100 direct from NVIDIA, threw us some 460.XX release, tried to install that on the Ubuntu VM and that's the one that got stuck "installing kernel modules" at 5%, sat there and did nothing, blew away the VM after 20 minutes of waiting for it to finish fucking around.
What the hell are we missing?

One of my neighbors, that lives about 50-60 yards through a wood line from me is putting up livestock fence 30 feet in on this side of the wood line. He owns the property. Said he had the property lines checked. I just think that the property line should be at the wood line, like I thought it was the past 15 years I’ve lived here. Now I’m going to have livestock walking around in my backyard, and literally a couple feet away from my pool! Please any advice would be greatly appreciated. The fence is not fully built yet. Just the posts are in the ground. If you need more information let me know. I’m very upset. Also not sure if right flair

So, I need a little advice, to see where I need to go with this. In England
Details:
I have a detached home, on a corner plot. My house is set further back than my neighbours on the right and at a right angle to my neighbour on the left. Due to the positioning, my plot is almost triangular, and narrows down towards the end of the driveway.
The driveway has hedges both sides, different types, which I obviously trim regularly. The hedges I am asking about are actually trimmed down to the trunk in places, as I wouldn't be able to get my car in if I allowed them to grow.
Hedges on the right must belong to that neighbour, as their house is on lower ground than mine, and the hedge (almost trees) are planted on the lower ground.
My deeds specifically say that the 'left and rear' (looking at the house) boundaries are my responsibility and I am to maintain a boundary of 'higher than 3 feet but not higher than 6 feet' and I have a red 'T' on that boundary at the front.

Details:
I have a detached home, on a corner plot. My house is set further back than my neighbours on the right and at a right angle to my neighbour on the left. Due to the positioning, my plot is almost triangular, and narrows down towards the end of the driveway.
The driveway has hedges both sides, different types, which I obviously trim regularly. The hedges I am asking about are actually trimmed down to the trunk in places, as I wouldn't be able to get my car in if I allowed them to grow.
Hedges on the right must belong to that neighbour, as their house is on lower ground than mine, and the hedge (almost trees) are planted on the lower ground.
My deeds specifically say that the 'left and rear' (looking at the house) boundaries are my responsibility and I am to maintain a boundary of 'higher than 3 feet but not higher than 6 feet' and I have a red 'T' on that boundary at the front.

This particular rat, I've been planning to take to the vet because he's always been stiff and squeals easily. Other than that he's been pretty healthy and active.
I had my rats free ranging and I got up to stop one from climbing somewhere that had a bad fall. I got that rat off and put him down then headed back to my desk. I heard 2 loud squeaks and noticed 2/3 of my rats were near my feet. One of them is fine and didn't react to anything when I inspected him. The one I most likely stepped on was still able to walk, move around, jump but was inclined to run under furniture instead of run in the open like usual. He also ran away from my hand. By time I was able to pick him up, he jumped and squealed and I couldn't touch really anything without him squealing and jumping around. Usually he's startled by being picked up and does a squeek, but he still lets me pick him up usually. He is incredibly difficult to pick up now; he jumps and screeches, and I have to keep him low to the ground because he will jump out of my hand. He's hard to inspect because he's so jumpy.
They're all back in the cage now and he is able to climb, he's eating, acting mostly normal but I know for a fact he got hurt. I will be taking him to the vet as soon as I can, but I wanted to know what to expect until then. Has this happened to anyone else and do you have any advice in general?

So, I feel like there are superficial similarities between the characters of Adam and Illyria, both are monstrous creatures trying to understand the world around them as well as the human remnants inside them. One part that made the character of Illyria so compelling, besides Amy Acker's incredible performance, was that we were already invested in Fred. So I was wondering, would the Adam storyline have been more interesting if we had gotten to know the human character that ended up in Adam?
Let's say for example Riley wouldn't have been introduced as Buffy's love interest. Instead, he would have been this charming sunnyboy tutor character, as initially introduced in The Freshmen, who is built up throughout the season and ends up helping Buffy and her friends and being integrated into the Scooby Gang. But boom, then in a tragic turn of events he gets killed and Maggie Walsh is reviving him as Adam. Now he's no longer himself and has to grapple between the different elements inside him that are tearing him apart and the sinister plans for him laid out by Walsh and the initiative. Throughout the final arc of the season, we don't know whose side he will eventually be on until the final battle when he chooses a side.

Not the Chinese kind but the kind proposed by C.H. Douglas. For those that need a quick explanation, please see the "" paragraph at the bottom.
I may have missed the argument on this point for social credit but alas, I do not recall. One major criticism that I have with the idea of Social Credit is the desire for business profit and debt elimination. In the schema of issuing debt free credit, businesses would inevitably compete for that credit in order to pay down debt. With competition comes higher prices (not lower as many will claim) meaning a bigger gap. So now the gap payment is bigger. Businesses now have more to compete for so they raise prices again. Now the gap is bigger and... Without a mechanism that prevents a business from raising prices too aggressively there will be an increase in the gap over time as businesses gather up credit with higher margins to pay down bank debt and get higher margins. What business would willingly lower prices or avoid raising prices? They want profit.
So now we find that businesses are paying down their debts and not lowering prices while still maintaining low wages (because remember, they can keep wages as low as they want and the government will fill the gap). With the ability to maintain those prices while driving wages into the ground AND lowering costs through debt payoff, the gap explodes. People are being loaded with credit every month and it's being directed towards living expenses instead of debts, so the average person still has a potential shortage in their income needs versus available products so they take out more debt. This skews the system further as workers need more in wages and credit to fill the gap caused by their borrowing. Assuming they're being paid, of course.
In a social credit schema, I could very easily operate as a business that relies on the gap to pay my workers as I offer a wage of $0 per hour. Now every paycheck my workers earn is government credit instead of out of my reserve. I then have the ability to set the price of my goods to my heart's content and make pure profits beyond the remaining non-wage costs of production. With these profits I can eliminate my debt to the point of being debt free thus leaving only the final costs of production such as materials, land, and tax. Suddenly we live in a world where everyone is paid the same paycheck in ever increasing monthly amounts and we have ever increasing discounts on prices because prices will go up anyways to capture more profits, thus offsetting the force of the discount to begin with. Our personal debts keep growing as businesses collect more and more debt-free government credit in their reserves... Then start lending out notes for those credits to their most loyal customers who shop only at that one business. And then they lend out more than they have in reserve with interest. Hello private fractional reserve bank that produces a debt fiat-currency! Nice to meet you again! The very problem Social Credit seeks to solve with a public monetary creation system will inevitably be used by private entities to perpetuate the next era of that very same problem.

So I went to boot up my PC last night and after it tried to auto repair it blue screened with "windows did not start correctly". I have tried all the basic troubleshooting steps and it wouldn't boot in safe mode. I thought my m.2 SSD might have bit the dust so I swapped it into another computer and it booted up just fine, I got the m.2 from the other computer and it booted up on my system just fine. Now I am at a loss for why my system won't boot, any ideas? Thanks for the help!

I started playing the first game on my junkie old penny and four when I was 12 or 13. I absolutely loved the game forward and back. I'm beginning to lose control of my hands at age 30, so I started playing the PS2 version to use a controller... A little rough around the edges but not crazy, still gave me that same feeling. I'm currently working on invisible war but I've skipped it in favor of the newer titles at the moment. I've played mankind divided over and over again and am currently working on a perma death run for the first time. I've gotten decently far and died and had to start over.. something keeps bringing me back hearing the characters over and over again, seeing the story... It had my wife crying at the end, I'm holding out hope that we get a conclusion to Adam's story at some point.

Hello guys I am an 18 year old T1D patient i was diagnosed when I was 17 at that time I was in 12th grade now i have completed my school and I am going to join a medical college For an MBBS degree. But as we all know medical is excruciating and very demanding at the same time. T1D has given me many Scary episodes of Hypoglycemia and Im scared that even if i join med school Ill not be able to make it. At a time I dont want t1d to control my life choices but at the same time i never wanna get a hypo so intense that i almost black out and Just a few secs out of coma on the school ground when no one knows ur a diabetic (i didnt tell anyone in my school about my diagnosis). So i wanted my fellow T1D mates opinion on how should i tackle it. my family is very supportive and they are giving me 100% decision on whatever I choose altough I would love to treat people everyday would it even be worth it if im not healthy?
