Cool math games run 3

Ok, so last night I was playing a game of poker with my friends (five of us total) when three cards of the same suit were dealt to the table. We ended up getting into a very heated discussion about the odds of one of us having two of that same suit. I know the odds of three of the same suit being dealt and having in your hand two of the same suit is less than one percent. I was arguing that AFTER the cards are dealt, the odds of one of us having two of the same suit is very high (15-10%) while another person was arguing it was very low (3-<1%.) I do not know how to do the exact math, but I’ve asked a couple AI’s and the answer always comes back in my favor. So I was wondering if anyone could explain the odds and how they work. Once again I’m not asking for the odds it happens in general, but the odds you are dealt two of the same suit, given that three of the same suit have already been dealt to the table.

Hi everyone. I've never built a PC before, but decided I want to get something for gaming. I mainly play FPS games like Valorant and Overwatch, so I don't need a super powerful PC. I've come up with 2 configurations (links below) and I can't decide if the more expensive one will be worth it. I'm leaning towards the cheaper one because it's about £450 cheaper and I might not gain a lot from spending more, considering the games I play. For the more expensive one, I was also considering the Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU and perhaps an RX6750XT with 3 fans instead of 2. I just need some advice if anything can be improved a lot for just a bit more money, or if I can cut the cost on something without significant drop in performance. Thanks.

Hi, which are your recommendations on horror games for PS Vita? I have played all classic survival horror from psX and psp (Silent Hill's 1, Origins, Shatered Memories, Resident Evil 1,2 & 3, Parasite Eve and so on) plus some Vita Indies like Lone Survivor, The Walking Dead, Neverending Nightmares, Yomawsri...). Also, anyone knows anything about Forgotten Memories? It looks so good, so sad it finally didn't come out.

Its literally not possible. I played a round of Ghostface (a pure M1 Killer) today and I couldnt even get a hook by the time 2 gens got done. (By "fun way" I mean, dont tunnel and/or camp)
Dont get me wrong, I DONT want to increase gen times, but what I AM asking for is another objective for survivors! Noone likes holding M1 for 80+sec, but what else can survivors do to progress their objective?! Whilst youre chasing one dude, the other 3 are sitting on gens. As a Killer thats not very strong, youll just have to accept defeat 95% of the matches unless the survivors majorly screw up... how is that fun? Knowing Ive lost most of the games if I choose X-Killer? And this problem gets much much much much MUCH worsened by the map design. Play Ghostface on Lerys? Thats fine... play Ghostface on Shattered Square? HAH! Good luck if you get A kill or even more than 3 hooks...
Unless you run full gen slowdown meta (which continuously gets nerfed, because noone enjoys holding M1 for an hour, and thous gets less and less viable) You will not be able to win the majority of your matches. Doesnt matter how much experience you have in the game. You. Will. NOT. win. Purely by the game design.
And its the most frustrating thing in this game! A search bar? Yeah... that improves a bit... an FoV slider? Yeah... that would improve a fair bit of Killer gameplay (and maybe even make it so you can SEE the people that are blinding you because they arent outside your FoV) But adding survivor objectives? Yeah... that would make the game PLAYABLE for all Killers... Yes, Nurse, Blight etc (the top tier ones) would dominate... but when have they NOT done that? Id say make the game playable for EVERYONE and then nerf the too strong ones... instead of nerfing the strong ones whilst leaving everyone else in the fucking dust...
Its quite telling how many matches I played where even the SURVIVORS said that: "Yeah, gens went kinda quick that match"

Thats it... Rant over... (I just had 4 matches in a row where 2 gens popped by the time I had one down, so Im quite pissed)

Some give spelling bee 🐝 bonuses, some earn extra Brilliance ☀️ (if ☀️ matters to you (status). The other bonuses are for the weekly mini games. Earn extra cocoons 🦋 for Tuesday’s butterfly garden, earn extra binoculars 🔭 for Wednesday’s portraits events, they earn extra Stars ⭐️ for the weekend tournament. Monday’s Key, Balloon, Honeycomb, etc is just a run for 72 levels, no event bonuses given (bees would help). Animals are a way to get you to spend more money and time on the game. For entertainment, and to get you to connect with other players/teammates, as they do not publish anything as a guide on how it works.
Once you first get the animals, you have a special common-only egg, that goes away in 7 days. That it's replaced with 4 different egg colors rotating every 2 days, Blue, Red, Green, Purple. They have different animals inside them to "unlock” for the cost of heart ❤️ gems, that you accrue slowly with each level, or harvest from the animals’ rewards.

The first week's common-tier-only egg should still be 350 heart gems per hatch (1 animal card), then it goes away for the other 4 egg groups with 4 different "tiers" of animals: 🔸Common, 🔸🔸Uncommon, 🔸🔸🔸Rare, 🔸🔸🔸🔸Epic. The egg prices begin at 950 for Purple/Red, and 650 for Green/ Blue, as green/blue doesn't have any epics and worse rares they are cheaper to acquire, but I personally avoid the Blue/Green altogether. The prices used to be 1,500 & 900 ❤️ gems. All “hatch 1 animal card, with different % chance based on rarity tier.
Activities time based on tier, 30,45,60, 120min. Activities until sleep is listed in stat bar (based on tier & reward type). Animals need a number of duplicate cards to level up (increases with each level), coat color changes at levels 3, 5,6,7, for a total of 5 colors. How long they sleep is pre-set based on quality of reward, not tier. (Anteater is a short 6hr, other epics are 24hrs)
Animal’s event-rewards are locked unless they are active at the time and you have started each new event already. Spelling bees 🐝 and Brilliance ☀️ rewards are always active as are heart ❤️ gem rewards. Cocoons, Stars, and Binoculars will not count and go uncollected if you haven’t STARTED THE EVENT. If you haven’t started (0% status) the new butterfly garden, new portraits series, or new weekend star tournament, then the event-based-rewards will go uncounted and trashed. To start, you must first finish a level before you get the event-bonuses. You will still get the Heart Gem rewards, so sometimes run them for the heart gem bonus only, especially epics.
In a recent update (4/26/2023), the eggs went "shiny" but only if you already had every animal in that egg group. The heart gem cost went down to 600 & 450 red/purple & blue/green. Also they give +3 or more animal cards, with a possibility of a "jackpot" for more. Common jackpot +15 or +18, Uncommon jackpot +8, Rare jackpot +5, Epic jackpot +3. Setting timers to come back to the game to collect and reset, spending coin to end activity timers early, strategizing having them ready to collect for the start of a new event, putting on an epic before bedtime to maximize heart production.
All of it has brought more money and daily activity to the game, and some argue ruined the pure word game aspect of it, making it a silly egg-hatching game with rainbow animals instead of an adult wordsmith game. This business is designed to entertain AND make money.

I made a post last night over at OWConsole about my complaints as a Kiriko main stuck in Silver. Had a suggestion to come here and look for some advice. Now a little more context is coming from me. I am a fairly new Overwatch player. And when I say this, I mean I did play Overwatch 1, but that was right at launch, and then I stopped after a couple of months. I came back to Overwatch when I saw that it was going to be free. I almost never watch guides or tips for games I play; I feel like I learn better by playing more and figuring out what works and what doesn't. Which is why making a post like this is going to be strange for me because I have never really gone out of my way to look for help, but it's gotten to the point where I am simply tired. So maybe I am the issue, and that is why I am coming here for some tips and feedback on my gameplay. And I already know my aim could use some work (it was a lot worse at the start of the game, trust me). But sometimes I do feel like I get lost in where I should be positioned during a fight. Hi all, I'm starting my first year of a Software Engineering course this September and have been looking in to getting a solid laptop to carry about and use on the campus as well as personal use outside of classes, lectures, etc. I am looking to get something that I can use to take notes/study, write essays and program whilst also being able to use it outside of academics to stream shows and play some less spec-demanding games. I've mainly been looking in to laptops running Windows as this is the OS I am most comfortable with and to avoid running in to any programs I might not be able to run on MacOS. My budget is around £600 but I'm currently working and already have a decent amount of money saved up initial living costs/rent. I'm willing to extend this budget if any of you think it would be better value/worth splashing out for a good laptop that will last me a while.
I have mainly been looking at refurbished laptops both on Back Market and manufacturer sites to save some money. I came across a couple Surface Laptops with different specs (namely A having more RAM but B having more processing power) and a minimal price difference after I saw some people doing similar courses recommend them online (Laptops A and B).
I also did some more research of my own and asked some friends and came across a Dell laptop that had very similar and some better specs at a fraction of the cost, with the option of 16 and 32 GB of RAM only £10 more expensive. (Laptop C)
Besides these specific offers I also looked more in to getting a more up to date Surface Laptop from Microsoft's refurbished options on their website which seemed to all have generally higher specs for one or two hundred more pounds, but were mostly limited to only 8 GB RAM. On the pricier end, I also saw a recommendation for the Dell XSP 13 Plus calling it the "PC's answer to new Mac" which seemed to have all the specs I could ask for but came in at £1249 with the default specs including a TB of SSD storage but got closer to a slightly more reasonable £1149 if downgraded to a 512 GB SSD. I see they offer a non-Plus version of the that (as far as I can tell) isn't too much less powerful and could come with 16 GB RAM at £1099 instead.
Of course I am not married to any of the options above and would be more than happy to take any suggestions from anybody who knows more about laptops or what I may need as an aspiring software engineer than I do haha. I appreciate I've given a lot of information but I'll be extremely grateful if anyone could give me a hand. Thanks in advance everyone!

I have a bad tendency to ramble on aimlessly in posts like this, so I'm hoping to make this a big more succinct and digestible with some handy dandy bullet points.

• I'm located up in Northeast Pennsylvania and would prefer to find someone within a reasonable driving distance but in the end, I'm open to long distance for the right person
• I try to strike a good balance between between being outdoorsy and being a homebody, but in reality, I definitely lean more toward the homebody end of things. I spend most of my time playing video games or watching twitch/YouTube/anime
• Very much a Nintendo fanboy, but I also having a gaming PC and a PS4, though the PS4 has been kinda collecting dust lately. Anyone playing the new Zelda game? It's been out for weeks and I've been taking my time, so I'm still not even close to beating it
• Despite my predilection for just lazing around on the couch, I do genuinely love exploring outdoors. In particular, I'm an avid runner, but I also enjoy biking, kayaking, hiking, all that good stuff. Alas, I've never been camping, but here's hoping that will finally change this summer
• Kinda don't really know what I'm doing with my life. I make okay money at an okay job. Currently taking flying lessons to get my pilot's license, but I'm unsure if I see myself making a career out of that. In the meantime, I just entertain fantasies about moving away and starting over somewhere new. I went to the Seattle area earlier this month and fell in love with it. That's my dream destination
• Anime is cool! Currently catching up on Vinland Saga and Chainsaw Man. Attack on Titan is my favorite, but Dragon Ball Z will always hold a very special nostalgic place in my heart
• I'm firmly childfree and have no interest in ever being a parent or stepparent of any kind
• As for being demisexual... full disclosure, I have a lot of baggage concerning sex and sexuality. I've been going to therapy and I'm trying to work through it, but it's a process. Regardless, I definitely want to really take my time and absolutely need to build a strong connection before I'm comfortable with anything sexual
• Politically, I'm quite left of center, so I can't imagine myself ending up with even a moderate, never mind a right-winger. In particular, LGBTQ causes are very important to me. I definitely consider myself a feminist. I'm also on the left economically, so... fuck capitalism
