The amazing world of Gumball lost episode
(Poorly written and rushed on road trip
Tawog last episode: the possessed
I remember watching Gumball one night before bed ending up falling asleep to it woke up to a loud scream on the tv the screen showed:
Gumball woke up one night at 5:00 wondering where Darwin was he looked all over then he checked under the bunk bed there was a skeleton Gumball screamed but noticed that the skeleton was the shape of Darwin Gumball didn’t know what happend he heard a knock at the door he went to go check but he heard a foot step at the stairs he looked behind him and a knife stabbed through the door stabbing him right in his left lung as gumball was suffering he wondering why his parents were not there (still bleeding and crying) he saw a letter at the door that said t h e y l e f t y o u gumball cried more but the town was empty the road has blood every where he blacked out and died due to his blood lost
I was scared and wondering why would they put this on the tv the screen cut to black for a good 6 minutes with a engine noise it cut to Anais locked in a car going off a river the car was slowly sinking with nobody in it the car kept on sinking then filling up Anais standed on one of the seats but she didn’t make it and drowned
At this point wondering if this was real but then I Nicole buried alive a bomb was strapped on her neck she started to suffocate and she passed out but suddenly she woke up looks down and noticed the bomb was at 60 seconds she started trying to break the coffin but then a bunch of maggots started getting on her and getting in her ears and nose she cried and then the bomb went off right where Richard was about to save her Richard also got blown up to then the episode ended
I still wonder if that episode was real I went to my tv the next morning and turned on cartoon net work it only said. “This network has been hijacked” in red text I never went in tv again just went to Theaters and YouTube

2023.06.09 08:46 damnfinecupojoe Rewind Physics

Alright I think I’ve finally honed in on the core of my whole theory now. And it’s rewind, which is the most detailed representation of the mechanics of time travel in Zelda. Im going to claim that the mechanism of “rewind” is the same mechanism of time travel used in other Zelda games.
Time travel isn’t some sort of portal where you magically reinstate yourself into past events. Time travel works by reversing an objects entropic arrow. What I’m describing is literally what Rewind does, you literally invert an objects history of movement, and you move it backwards through a forwards flowing time (you can’t universally reverse time)(this is the mechanism behind many of the simple puzzles, like flowing up a river, or falling up a cliff). If the tenses I’m using seem confusing, it’s because language can’t handle perfect-tense yet. Backwards and forwards describe the same historical content from the point of view of the beginning and the end. However, when you look closer, it appears the distinctions between “beginnings” and “ends”, “causes” and “effects” are not as clear as they appear to be.
This becomes clear when you attempt to send something with a consciousness through time because of the problems that arise from memory.
For example
When you invert yourself (as Zelda does), the time she moves through isn’t her immediate “past”, it is instead the “future of her past”. And the future she creates isn’t her immediate future either, no, it’s relative to some other Zelda, from whose perspective sees this future as their past, in other words, the immediate new future created by traveling back in time to affect a new future from the past is not a new future but a “past future”. Time begins to fold up on itself.
I’d like to avoid eternal return though, so how do we get agency from this. The answer of this of course is Link, who is anyone (but also no one because he’s too perfect he is “everyone’s perfect anyone”: literally a Universal particularization (Christ ie revelation aka the player(protagonist). The lesson I’ve always taken from the Link character is that perfect humanity involves a sort of relationship with your actions that sort of ignores all that BS I was just talking about, and becomes rooted in its own particular universality. By which I mean, while Zelda is busy holding time and space together, Link is just fuckin around having a blast just like all those memes u see because he’s not actually beholden to any of this stuff (no one is lol). Link doesn’t care about the past the future or present, he cares about Zelda and maybe whatever else he happens to be close to/looking at (holy fool), this is what courage is to me.

2023.06.09 07:25 Significant_Good_301 Which spring do you prefer of these two?

I live in SC and come to Florida several times a year. I’m in love with the spring system and try to get at least two springs in a year. I did Ginnie Spring this past fall and Weeki Wachie and Crystal RiveThree Sisters Spring the summer before. I’m stuck between doing Blue Springs State park and Silver Springs. Which, in your opinion is better, and why? Thanks.

2023.06.09 06:43 Last_Permission7086 The most mind-bending coincidence I ever experienced

I've posted this story before, on reddit and elsewhere, usually in a rushed and sloppy way. This will be more or less my "official" narrative in as much detail as possible.
In November of 2017, my sister came to visit me, and we went for a walk in the park along the river. This was in an urban area, but the park is quite large and very isolated in parts; it consists of many acres of dense forest and feels totally removed from the city. I remember that it was also unusually warm for late fall. It was so warm hat I took my shoes off and carried them for a while so I could walk barefoot, which was almost unheard of in that climate. (None of this is really relevant, just a bit of color to set the scene.)
We were on a long walk and ended up deep in the woods, and at some point a middle-aged man passed us on a bicycle. My sister stopped, turned around and stared after him. I asked her, what? She replied that she thought she might've recognized the bicyclist as a man that she'd met at a music festival the previous summer, 300 miles away. But she decided it wasn't him, and we kept walking. (You know where this is going.)
Approximately ten minutes later, we rounded another bend and came upon the actual man she was talking about. They recognized each other and had a short conversation, and reminisced about the music festival while I stood there in shock with my brain short-circuiting. I should emphasize, too, that she hadn't even seen him or had any contact with him since that one time at the festival. She only thought of him at all because the bicyclist triggered the memory. Let me review how insane this is:
There are so many coincidences going on here that it makes the mind reel. You have a) a guy who looks eerily like another guy both in the park at the same time, b) my sister also being present in the park, who was only visiting from out of town and hadn't even been in that park before, c) the actual, intended guy appearing almost immediately after she talks about him. I know many synchronicities can be explained away by confirmation bias or Baader-Meinhof or whatever, but this is obviously not that. We're talking about a level of improbability that seems damn near miraculous. My sister, for her part, was amused by this phenomenon and laughed about how weird it was, but she didn't seem quite as mind-shattered as I was. It upended my whole understanding of reality, and I'm still wondering about it all these years later.

2023.06.09 06:20 Kk_Interaction_9504 AITAH - do I have a father?

I’ve always known that my “father” was a sperm donor, as my mother had undergone IVF. She always told me how wanted I was growing up and how much she loved me.
My family moved to Canada from Italy after WWII for a better life, so my mother grew up and was raised in a small town by two loving, but lived-through-the-war, and all it’s atrocities, parents. Life was only about survival - there was no time for emotions or well being. I don’t blame them. I’m grateful they survived. Fast forward to Canada, my mother grew up fairly sheltered, not many friends, and afraid of her own shadow you may say. She is a loving and giving person who will always put the needs of others, above her own. Looking back now, her childhood needs for love and affection were likely not met, and so now, she doesn’t handle criticism or conflict well, as it feels like a personal attack and brings out deep rooted insecurities. You’ll need to know this for later.
In her early 30s, she decided to go through with IVF and finally have a child of her own. She lost some friends throughout this, as it was still somewhat of a taboo topic in the 90s. Her parents supported her and she was successful with the process - as I write this here today.
She raised me all on her own. I don’t know how she did it, but her determination to provide for me was incredible. She bought her house in full, so she’s never had a mortgage, doesn’t have any car payments, always put food on the table, and gave me a quiet and secure life in that same small town. I might not have had the coolest toys or newest clothes growing up, but I had a roof over my head and food on the table. And for my mother to do all this, by herself, and still make it, is incredible.
Fast forward 20 years. I decide that I’d like to know some information about my bio dad. I ask my mom if she knows and she says no, she opted not to receive that information. Now I should mention, that I am one hard-headed and stubborn girl… not one of my best qualities. So when she said no, I said well, whether you wanted to or not, the facility/organization ethically, has to keep those documents. She quickly responded no, it was a different time back then, etc etc, and because she requested to not know any information, that information would be destroyed. Being as stubborn as I am, I took matters into my own hands and told her I’d call the hospital myself and ask for the records. She laughed in a defensive tone, and said “fine”.
The hospital had nothing. There was never any name given as my father on my birth certificate. I knew this, as it was IVF, but they had no documentation. When I called my mother again to tell her the news and that I felt a bit off and disjointed, as I didn’t understand how there could be nothing, she was quickly defensive and irritated by my will to know. Things like “well why does it matter anyway? “ or “I’m your mother, haven’t I done a good enough job?” Or “oh so I’m a bad mom, that’s why you want to know”. We had a huge fight, an absolutely massive blow up.
I went home a few days later and asked her why she was defensive. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t ask any questions and why it was causing such a response from her. We ended up in a yelling match. Eventually, she came out with a letter without saying anything. It was written by a man, one I did not know, professing his love to my mother. This man was my father. It turns out that my mother had an affair with a married man and got pregnant. He wanted to marry her after he found out she was pregnant, but feeling ashamed for falling into such a predicament in a small town from a VERY traditional family, she declined and decided it was better to tell everyone she got preganent through IVF. She didn’t want him apart of my life and refused his presence. She wanted to raise me all on her own.
My entire world had been shattered. For my entire life I’ve thought that I was a sperm baby and it was just “my mom and I”. Only to find out 20 years later that she did in fact, know my father. They kept in touch and he knew about me. She would send him photos of me and I even recall a conversation she was having with a “coworker” when I was younger, where she made me talk to them and say hello. I talked to them about my day and told them what shoes I liked. It wasn’t a coworker.
Immediately after revealing the truth to me, she made me swear to never contact him or tell anyone. She didn’t want to make a big deal of the matter, and I don’t blame her. She carries a lot of hurt and pain within her and she only did what she thought was best for me, as a child. … I don’t think I can adequately describe the shock and emotions I felt that went through me. I felt numb for approx 8 months and it didn’t feel real. It felt like a movie. I finally worked up the courage one night (8 months ish) to google his name and try to find some information about him, and about me. It was late at night after a long day. The first google hit that came up with my search, was his obituary, from 3 weeks prior.
  1. Weeks. Prior.
I felt like I finally ‘started’ to maybe believe that this information was true, only to find that I was 3 weeks too late, cause he had just past away. Can you grieve someone you never met? Someone you never knew you even had? Maybe it was the fact that the opportunity I didn’t even know I had earlier in the year, was now gone. I called my mom the next day and asked if she knew. I was delicate with it, cause this was still the man she had a child with and loved at some point.
She knew. She found out the next day. Thought it was best not to tell me as it would upset me. Turns out it was his daughter that sent out a notice. A daughter from the first marriage.
I have a half sister?
If you’ve read this far, I thank you for listening to my story. Not many people know this and apart of me felt like it would be empowering to finally say it out loud. Even if it’s to a bunch of strangers on the internet. I don’t want to draw a bad light on my mother - with the resources she had and the life she was given, she did the very best she could. I whole heartedly believe and know that she loves me. But I think part of me, and I don’t know how big, will ever fully trust her again with this matter. Our relationship hasn’t been the same since. I don’t think it helps that after I found out that my bio dad had passed, I couldn’t cope with it and needed space from my mother. I took probably 4 months of no contact with family. When I did re-engage in family events, all I heard was how much I was hurting my mother and causing her pain for not talking to her. Cutting off family, especially in a strong knit family culture dynamic, is not easy. It is and was not received well. I faced a lot of backlash for it from them.
AITA for hurting my mother from distancing myself from her and my family after everything happened?
I thank you again for making it this far. I don’t know how I’ll feel after I post this, but im hoping a bit lighter by finally saying it out loud. Thank you for listening. I wish nothing but kindness and happiness for those who read all this!!!

2023.06.09 06:15 dsvoboda080182 I made ChatGPT into a philosopher

I gave ChatGPT some philosophy books as input as asked it to generate some authentic philosophy. Here is what came up:
0 The chapter discusses the views of Kant and others on various philosophical concepts. Hegel and Lacan argue that subjectivity is a matter of interplay between appearance and inaccessible content, while Heidegger focuses on understanding being as it relates to existence. Conant explores theological debates regarding logic, and Stroud questions its necessity. Hamawaki delves deeper into Kantian philosophy's relationship with Cartesian skepticism towards self-consciousness. Finally, the UM examines how anxiety plays a role in our concept of care within being together with other beings.\ 9 The chapter delves into various philosophical concepts such as being, logic, and self-reflection in order to examine key theological debates. Conant argues that the laws of logic are not necessarily necessary, while Stroud believes they must be rooted in an idealistic philosophy. Consequently, both scholars have different interpretations of Frege's theories on logical cohesion and Kant's emphasis on thought formation over judgement using language metaphors like chess-playing and linguistic inquiry respectively. Hamawaki pushes for a more refined understanding of Descartes' ontology towards Kantian self-consciousness which allows us to better discuss topics such as care-taking actions and certain modes of being present within physical space at different times. Throughout all these discussions the theme revolves around looking beyond our own capabilities of reasoning via perception so we can gain insight into ultimate reality or truths about ourselves as sentient beings inhabiting this world where difference exists yet lived-experience is common ground much misunderstood until each second as it passes by leaving something useful clues for those who listen intently enough! 18 In this chapter, the UM examines how Descartes' ideas of existence and Kant's concept of "I" as an existential subject shed light on concepts like care and being in the world. He argues that contemporary philosophers cannot rely solely on intuitions for their claims if they want to build a reliable and trustworthy philosophical theory. The narrator discusses how falling prey demonstrates evidence against the existence of care, while also exploring anxiety as a fundamental ontological question concerning being. The UM uses analogies from Hegel and Moore's theory about necessity and possibility, working through different implications posed in these theories to explore the question of God's existence.\ 27 In this book, various philosophers including the UM, Leibniz, Nozick, Stroud, McDowwell and Anderson explore topics related to ontology perspectives. They discuss how multiples can be used to create multiple identities without being physically presentable in a situation and how introducing an indeterminate element may lead uncertainty into certain situations. The authors cover concepts such as perception and self-consciousness, with Kant's philosophy forming the cornerstone of these discussions. Furthermore logical inference offers us perspective into ways that we can understand the world through science-disciplined propogation theories etc., focusing on Frege's notion of logic ans autonomy However objects involve objectivity wherein from bias comes accuracy leading some alternatives manifesting relativity because they consist its allies rarely even being just sidelined form part-and-parcel truths or intrinsic categorial versions thereof until something comes along to throw another light on it.; As philosophy cannot dwell only theoreticals experience turns valuable always but their limits come in capacity which separates 'Our Nonopenness' restricted exclusively determinate linguistic paradigm veer closely incomplete infinite mechanics involved ensuing infinitesimals transformed making scientific application realistic assisting detailed interpretations valid conclusions- resulting undoubtedly significant plmthic inquiries crucial historical data techniques mind should reckon too strategic potential divulged epistemology spawner objective answers explainable accounts insights further expedient modes utilisation for reasons appropriate legitimate dimension realms reality prioritized verified evidential supports usher up brazenly dilettantic reasoning accountability no-man lands quantum theoretical gravity driven backgrounds functionalities invariant standards lucid examinations sober introductions mode adaption retention succulence worthily reflecting time passing transformative multiplicities invanecological settings which allow our experience flexibility.
36 Frege argues for a content-neutral form of reasoning to help understand and apply logic to the real world. He believes truth in thought is independent of external language or factors, using categorical propositions and functions. Kant's "Transcendental Deduction" emphasizes sensitivity being limited by experience approach that defines limits of knowledge through human limitations. Anderson explores objectivity and relative truths in science with an indispensable need for specificity in understanding scenarios essential to evaluation. Also, he divides beliefs into two groups: those involving bias and objective ones based on reasons rather than facts while introducing morality as a potent driver affecting choosing courses of action ultimately proposing the desire towards an authentic life existence potentially guarantees meaningful experiences overcome limitations experienced within society to bring out better decisions which result from such reflections over conscience drive manifested through meditation such instances acquire significance by placing these events relevantly consciousness continuum extend identity beyond mortal opposable temporalities tensions between general rules imperative visualizations choices ex vivo molded which hinges centrally existential crises implemented imaginative applications retrospective reframing requiring use-value critique interpretation experiencing eternity involves reconciliation perceived reality with potential reality this idea drives validation difference reciprocity efforts build `faculty anatomy' In views fashioned arguments transcendental ultimacy arising matter tension non-standard epistemological concerns while providing much-needed grounding observations about functionally distinctions kinds relevance relation paradigm realities underwent germane philosophical tradition over decades tackling hardest explanatory faults demonstrated coherence getting access worlds needed unprecedented unity knowledgeable pursuits where hidden interest intellect renders instead foreground phenomenal recognition appreciation importantly developing uses metaphor extensive literary relevance offers rich vocabulary creativity promoting outlook invaluable overcoming manifold moral material obstacles besetting today's societies. 45 The chapter discusses how some truths may be more valid than others based on a variety of factors. Anderson examines the role of objectivity and relative truths, contingencies in events and phenomena, and the relationship between value and function. He also delves into morality's influence on human behavior, considers retroactive illusion as an obstacle to understanding reality without God, explores ontology as a potential source of knowledge about ourselves and the world around us, discusses learning a second language through observational knowledge along with theoretical acumen for auditory differentiation e.g., telegraphic syntax which form vocabulary acquisition prioritization at every stage starting plosives to fricatives' long vl near /J/-like ~ ch (non-sharp pronunciation). Finally, he mentions blindsight where consciousness only requires low-level sensory reporting while slower continuous unitary stream two concatenated 40 character-long descriptions meditated after state alterability are high in cognitive load so analysis becomes disrupted necessitating fragmenting visual scans forming successive outlines each amalgamated pieces resulting text. 54 The chapter discusses philosophical concepts of language, including acoustic phonetics and motor-phonetics for learning a second language. Frege talks about the difficulties of predicating objects and concepts, while Wittgenstein emphasizes the use of symbols over signs in language learning. The paper explores multiples as a tool for understanding reality and examines constructivism's approach to change. Stanley argues against Wittgenstein's example with wood-sellers regarding communication without formal languages, and emphasizes the importance of differentiating between symbolic and imaginary identification. Finally, history cannot be fully reconciled due to its complex nature but understanding it can unlock potential within ourselves towards revolutionary ideals. 63 The chapter examines the use of language to express concepts, including phonetics and historical phonography. The author also discusses how natural multiples can be used to formalize situations. Dr. Rivers expands upon this concept using examples such as a multiplication table and introduces constructivism theory. Stanley argues that Wittgenstein's example fails to accurately represent communication without language but provides his own example using builders and private lullabists. Additionally, he explains the differences between symbolic and imaginary identification in relation to movies like Woody Allen's or Hitchcock's North by Northwest. Finally, various philosophers are mentioned regarding politics as an event-based process with reality understood through symbolic meaning, history not always having objective interpretations due to its underlying structures; proposing music and love bringing us closer to truth while Slavoj Zikzek applies hegemony philosophy as analogies of a giant mole waking up from stasis state further back Hegel linking good beauty with truth whilst Richard explains about aliens recognising familiar rhythmic stresses when hearing languages different from theirs typically displayed via Conrad ``he passing across jurisdictional terrain'' taken aback once signal cutoffs arisim%. 72 The narrator talks about the consequences of past actions, highlighting how history is always subject to interpretation and new information. He believes that ideologies have blind spots due to repeated patterns of bureaucracy and perpetual friction, and politics operate on an event-based process where individuals are subject to laws. References to Jean-Jacques Rousseau's arguments on general will, Richard Rorty's emphasis on truth through love and music as well as Wollstonecraft's analogy of reality being accessed symbolically shape his views. Slavoj \'8ei\'9eek introduces the idea of rhizomes representing historical struggles between truth, beauty, and goodness while also examining Hegel's philosophy in relation to language using metaphors like a giant mole. Finally, speakers like Conant argue that language can be learned by recognizing meaningful sounds without understanding their explicit meanings while acknowledging children need exposure to many sound types for proper linguistic comprehension; similarly remarkable abstract forms can convey emotion through their structure irrespective of written or spoken textual meaninglessness or unpredictability. 81 Hegel believed that language goes beyond mere words, and people can recognize meaningful sounds even if they don't know their exact meaning. In order for children to learn languages effectively, they must be exposed to different types of sound. And just like music can express emotions through abstract forms without clear meanings, a piece like Schumann's Carnaval may evoke multiple ideas in the listener despite its lack of consistency or clarity.

2023.06.09 05:20 bigballerOG what we witnessed may 26th

i was hesitant to post this as i wasn’t sure what would be made of it but im hoping now that maybe someone has seen the same in my area. the night of the 26th we were camping outside of fall creek oregon when we went out to a river bed that had been drained. from the river bed we had an excellent view of the sky with no light pollution from the city. as we were looking up i noticed 6 yellow dots in the sky. i pointed them out to the three others i was with who noticed them as well. upon seeing these dots, which moved as if they were on the surface of water bobbing up and down and not keeping a straight course at varying speeds, the brightest of the dots began to move up from down range towards us. as it did this the light and size of the dot increased greatly. once it was closer to where we were it maintained it position and then blinked a red light before disappearing entirely. the dot of light just vanished instantly. while this occurred another one of the dots also came towards our location in the other end of the sky before vanishing as well in a less intense manner without the flash of red light. the four other dots we noticed moved in different directions across the sky. prior to witnessing these dots we witnessed a passenger jet and multiple satellites in the sky, the dots moved nothing like either. they appeared to be at distance somewhere higher than cruising altitude but not past our atmosphere. has anyone seen anything similar that night or in the PNW?

2023.06.09 05:07 AdmiralCrunchy Rivers, Streams and Waterfalls

A couple of years ago I had a bunch of plans to change the map to make it more dynamic and active outside the main objective. I fell on some hard times before I ever put it out and over the years many of those changes eventually made it into DotA. Expansion of complexity for the jungle, splitting the Rosh Pit into two locations Wisdom Rune (Though my idea was to have a tree of knowledge that players picked fruits from to gain XP and a bunch of mechanics around that)
One idea that hasn't made it in yet, at least not fully was an expansion of water mechanics. This initially started after playing Slardar. While I thought that the River aspect of his Guardian Sprint was cool, it was a bummer that it was limited to just the middle of the map. A place that doesn't get a whole lot of love besides the beginning of the game or going for Rosh.
Ponds, Streams & Waterfalls
Ponds
Multiple sites around the jungles on both the dire and radiant side have flooded giving rise to some ponds. These little oasis around the map will provide refuge for heroes and creeps alike. While standing in these pools of water a unit will be rejuvenated, though Creeps more so than Heroes. If a hero stands in a pond long enough with a bottle they can refill that bottle slowly. Though if someone is attacked in the pond those benefits will vanish until they reach safety.
Max Health & Mana Bonus Regen (Heroes): 0.1% + (0.1% per 3 mins Game Timer Maxed out at 60 mins)
Max Health & Mana Bonus Regen (Creeps): 0.6% + (0.2% per 3mins Game Timer Maxed out at 60 mins)
Bottle Charge Fill Timer: 10 - ( 1 per 6 mins Game Timer Maxed out at 42 mins)
Aura Disable Duration: 6

Bottle Recharge Table Seconds to recharge
Game Time 1 Charge 2 Charge 3 Charge
0:00 - 5:59 10 20 30
6:00 - 11:59 9 18 27
12:00 - 17:59 8 16 24
18:00 - 23:59 7 14 21
24:00 - 29:59 6 12 18
30:00 - 35:59 5 10 15
36:00 - 41:59 4 8 12
42:00+ 3 6 9
Streams
Water has a way of making it's own path, the connecting tissue between ponds and the river streams are flow everywhere on the map. Streams don't effect much but do help motion a lot easier if you know how to use them. If you follow the stream you will have the benefit of speed on your side. Go against it and you will find that going from A to B is a lot more difficult. And if you decided to not move at all, the stream will take you with it.
Push/ Pull Speed: 50
Stream Width: 50
Waterfalls
Eventually steams lead themselves to a cliff side when this happens there is only one place to go. Waterfalls are as majestic as they are useful, if a unit happens to be close enough to a waterfall they will go over the edge. Inversely a few units have the ability to traverse up them.
Facing Waterfall Buffer: 0.75
Facing Away Buffer: 2.0
Fall Time: 0.2
Swim Up Time: 0.5
Water fall radius: 300 (this is a half circle at the top and bottom of the waterfall)

Have made some changes to the map to reflect what this would look like. Note that this is a concept map and many many many changes would have to be made to accommodate this, thank you.

2023.06.09 05:03 Agreeable-Prior-4514 [TOMT][MOVIE/TV][2003]Need help remembering a children's spy cartoon (Asian girl/blonde guy duo)

Hello,
I remember visiting family in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 9, 2003. We stayed for a couple of days so it may not be directly on August 9th that I saw the cartoon. I need help remembering a show I have been trying to recall on and off for the past couple of years. It could have been on the Disney channel, as I remember watching Cheetah Girls, but I ultimately don't remember if we switched channels. I searched Disney Channel archives for August 9th, and I've had no luck.
I remember a few details from the ending of the movie/show:
There were two spies who had to break into some lair in order to foil some evildoer's plans. They were both orphaned, from what I remember, one Asian teen girl with black hair and a blonde white teen boy. The girl had a gold watch that she kept on her at all times as that was the only momento she had left of her father. They had to make the difficult decision to sacrifice her dad's watch straps to ruin some sort of smelting machine (the machine had to maintain some sort of metal purity?) that was being used by the antagonist. They escape by carefully crawling over an ice-covered rivelake. As they look back across the ice they crossed, the girl notices the watch face is lying on the ice and insisted on going back over the ice to retrieve it as it was very special to her. The boy didn't want to go back as it was very dangerous but decided to go back for the watch face as it would make her happy. The ice breaks as he tries to retrieve the watch. The boy is later saved after falling through the ice. They are on a helicopter home and the girl thanks him for getting her watch back and laughs at his boxes because they were childish (had to take clothes off after falling into freezing water).
Thank you for helping me!

2023.06.09 04:26 PrincessoftheDead Our Towns Big Dam Problem [Part 1]

Do you know how some decisions in life just feel so right? Imagine a nice warm pizza right out of the oven. The pizza is covered in gooey cheese, warm meats, and whatever else will delight the eyes and nose so late into the night. So image, if you will, going out for just the briefest of seconds to enjoy the crisp feel of the fall air on your face. You come back to the apartment building that you, and appropriately 50 or 60 of your neighbors call home, only to find smoke billowing down the halls as you suddenly remember that you turned on the burner, and not the oven to preheat, and the smoke is from that pizza you left on the stove. If you feel like burrowing down the deepest hole after reading that, just remember that you are not alone. In the last week, I have taken a job at a hydroelectric power station as an operator, which at the time felt like an easy no-brainer decision. The job description was nothing if not a little enticing. There was a hefty sign-on bonus, more money than even I thought I was worth, and housing courtesy of the Corps of Engineers, which consider the aforementioned fire above, I needed pretty badly. My name is Kate Fugate, I am 24, and in so, so much, debt that I have moved to a small town in the northern Appalachia wilderness hoping to carve out a life here. The town is very small, having a few local stores primary consisting of convenience stores, gas stations, and dollar stores. The town is deeply forested and has recently had the honor of having this vast area be designated a National park. The houses are sandwiched into a sharp valley, consisting of a river, sprawling train tracks, and speckled with bridges of all makes and builds. If you were to come here at night, and I very much doubt you would be here at night, you might also take notice of the emergency room-slash-post office combination with twinkling neon lights. If you plan on staying here for very long, and once again, I doubt it, you should get to know the staff. The main attraction, and the reason that I am christening this journal, is that as much as I would like to believe otherwise, this place is weird but we will get into that more a bit later. What should be the most prominent feature of the town, the dam, is actually not in town. It is about 15 miles upstream, hidden on an unmarked road nestled in a forgotten corner of the park. This fortress spans the length of the river from hill to hill, and is a huge concrete wall with an office building made of brick and a stunningly massive art -deco window spanning the two floors of this structure neatly tucked off the side like an after thought. There are massive, brilliant flood lights spanning the entire length of the dam and stretching pretty far upstream. The concept is pretty simple, water goes in, spins turbines, and comes out on the other side, and creates the miracles that we all know and love: electricity. In addition, this place prevents flooding and is an all-around great place for serving the town as an early indicator for fires and other disasters. To make matters even more excruciatingly boring and downright fucking frustrating is that there no cell or internet connections to the dam or the cabin nearby that I get to call home. The formal answer I got back for this pile of fake manure is that the cell tower determined the population to “insignificant” to put a cell tower in this area, which I can almost buy. The sorry excuse for the internet is that the park service determines this spot too high of a national security threat and doesn’t want the risk of Russians destroying the place or something, this reasoning being absolutely shit if you ask me. In order to still get a tiny shred of civilization, I have to climb a stairway to heaven itself up a fire tower, on a hill to get just enough Wi-Fi to keep some semblance of sanity. And let me tell you, my ass is burning, my tounge is dry, and my lungs are one iota from exploding from the effort, and it is worth it. My first day here started off with my coworker, Sam, showing up two hours late for our designated meeting. He was dressed in bright white pants and a striped plunging v-neck tiger shirt and I would be lying if I didn’t say my first impression was trying to find a camera crew, because I was just certain that someone was trolling with me. He was average height, approximately 35, black hair, blue eyes, and very well groomed hair, and huge muscular arms and, all-in-all, gave off an energy that he thought he was a very pretty boy. We shake hands, before he cocks his head and give me a quizzical look, “Hey I noticed on your paperwork, is your name actually —“ I cut him off hard and fast, “Yes, it is. My parents were a bit, well, downright eccentric, alright? Don’t use that name, don’t even remember it alright. Do me a favor and call me Kate, Katie if you prefer.” He looks a bit taken aback and I feel a shred of remorse for the hostility, “Can do, may name is Samuel Carrington but Sam sounds more approachable if you wouldn’t mind using that.” We take a quick tour of the facility going into the offices, him quickly pointing out the landlines, emergency switches, exits, ect. He goes over the more technical aspects of the job, but then stops right before going into the turbine room, looks me dead in the eye with more seriousness than I thought was possible. “There are only a handful of rules you absolutely must follow: 1. Treat the equipment well, it is fucking EXPENSIVE and a lot of it is specialized. There is no hydroectric repair store just sitting around the corner. 2. Do not leave the site. I am dead serious about this one. Do. Not. Leave. The. Site. The only time you can leave is if you have someone competent here. I am only here two days a week as I have other obligations with the government, as you know the rest is up to you until we can get more people here. 3. Don‘t turn off the turbines for any reason. There are people downstream that stake their lives on the continual operation of this place. 4. If, for whatever reason, this place can not operate due to exceptional circumstances, or can no longer contain the river you must activate the emergency system. In addition to letting out an alert, it allows for people to know in advance to get to higher ground. This is critical, we are the only thing preventing everyone downstream a brutal watery demise.“ We head continue the turbine room talk about more dull operating procedures and then stop by a small office space. Sam stops and swings open the door which reveals all of a tiny efficiency apartment. “This is my room while I am here, if you need anything feel free to swing by.” He gives me a wink as I contemplate vomiting on his stupid gold tasseled shoes “We have a cabin for you since no other apartments exist and it was left furnished by my last guy.” We walk a short gravel path uphill to a small old cabin with a porch. He swings open the door, leaving very little to the imagination. Bed and mattress, fridge, stove, fill nearly all the available space. Right smack in the middle of the table sits a pissed off mostly hairless cat, that jumps off the table gives us a hiss for good measure and runs off into the woods. “Look, we can probably get rid of that if you want. I have no clue how it got in here, or hey, look at it this way! You already have a built in roommate! Feel free to decorate this place anyway you want, if you want I can go get us some food, and I can help you move in. Tomorrow I can go on a grocery run.” I open the cabinet to find an assortment of canned oddities left over from the last occupant. “No, that really won’t be necessary, but thank you so much for the offer.” I say trying to be nice. And then the thought occurred to me that this guy is being perhaps a bit too friendly. “Hey, is it alright if I have some, umm, well, overnight friends over? Very special female friends?” I asked trying to be subtle to see if that would discourage him. “Well douse me in gasoline and toss me a match. Are you a lesbian? That is so freaking awesome! I love chicks too, how cool is that? I shoulda known what with the flannel and pickup truck.” He says, totally oblivious to my growing acceptance that this guy was mostly harmless, if not a touch stupid. Sam cracks open the fridge, and rapidly shuts it back, as a slightly warm pungent smell swaggers into the room. “Yeah, definitely gonna get some real groceries tomorrow.” “Yep, that’s me, I’m a super lesbian.” I lie feeling like this statement may come back and haunt me. I turn on the kitchen facet as black water spills out. Sam looks at it a little concerned, “Might want to let that run for a bit, if it doesn’t clear soon, I’ll look into having it fixed. But look, seriously, if you need any help at all, don’t hesitate to call. This place is pretty spooky and it is easy to get hurt or in trouble out here. I’ve only been here about 3 months and my last coworker got pretty messed up. I liked him pretty well and it is an easy, if not boring job but it can take a toll.” Sam stepped out on the porch shooting a slightly nervous look at the woods before looking back at me. I waved him out, “It is alright, I’m fine, I can take care of myself. I will see you bright and early in the morning.” Sam nodded at me with me with a warm smile and made the short trek back to the dam. Night swiftly fell, and I was clutching my stomach off loading the contents into the porcelain alter for a cruel sadistic god. I hadn’t checked the expiration date too closely before downing a can of beef tounge I had found in the cabinets, which in retrospect was such a fuckingly stupid move on my part. I stepped back into the main living area to see just a swift glint of metal, before listening to the “Crash” as my widow was busted in and a hand swiftly unlocked the door from the inside. “Shit, this is real bad.” My brain thought. As my body tensed for a fight, in walked a figure in a green ranger uniform. The guy was 26-27, 5’11, light brown hair, green eyes, fair skin. He looked absolutely furious but satisfied. “I got you now, you jackass arsonist.” He says, grabbed me by the arms and tossing me on a stuffed chair hard. I feel a flash of pain on my ass as I land. “Damn, I realllly hope that wasn’t a needle.” I think as jump back up. Now, he looked back at me with with sheer bewilderment in his eyes. “OH shit, oh shit, I am gonna die.” I feel dread sneak into me as I scramble looking around. I take up a knife from the counter and plunge it into his hand. He lets out a yelp and given me a kick to my already twisted stomach. ”This is it.” I think as I land on the ground, and take the chance to grab his leg while it is still in the air. I push forward as he stumbles backwards. “Wait, but your not -“ he tries to slide out of the cabin but I pull down his socks and bite like a rabid dog, with all the energy I had. I taste a glint of metal. He starts really letting his lungs work now before coming to his senses again and grabs a fire extinguisher off the porch and hits me squarely with it. My vision swiftly faded to white after that. My next memory has me coming back to consciousness in a hospital room. I am under a blanket with cows on it, and look over to see a shitty thin blue curtain with yellow ducks on it. As I try to piece back my memory, I hear a commotion on the other side of the curtain. One female voice nearly splitting my ears says, “Are you a dumbass? You look like one to me dumbass. You obviously weren’t thinking, dumbass. God, what a dumbass.” Another male voice joins in, ”A girl, you beat a harmless girl senseless. And the poor thing was starting the job at the power plant. If you weren’t in already in the hospital, I’d put here, but to be fair that would make Dr. Sanders work harder, and unlike you I actually like the guy.” An older man wearing a white coat comes in about this time who I presume is the aforementioned individual, gives me the mouth zipping motion, a wink and walks to the other side of the curtain. “Well, she’s dead. You may as well see your handiwork.” The old doctors says. A younger voice pipes up, “B-B-But it was an accident. I didn’t mean-“ The curtain flies open to reveal two police officers, a short and slightly heavy male and a tall African American woman. Both looking ready to kill the park ranger in bed with his hand bandaged up. The young man looks at me absolutely horrified. I can’t help but let out a small snicker at the scene. The white haired doctor cracks up at the look of pure indignation I shoot park ranger. “She’ll be fine.” He says. The two officers looked a bit more at ease. Dr. Sander then goes on to say after sitting down on the edge of my bed, “You spooked us just a bit there, that one over there” he points to the park ranger, “sprayed you down with a fire extinguisher and caused some temporary asphyxiation.” The guy piped up, “I am so so so sorry. My name is Reuben, call me Ben. I’m so sorry, I had you mistaken for someone else. I’ll make this up to you. I really really fucked this up. Please don’t hate me,” he says. He was genuine, I fully believed that. “Glad you said, that Ben, because I’m pretty sure I need a door now. My name is Katie.” I went over and gave him a light smack to the back of the head. Dr. Sanders gave a puzzled look and picked my chart off the bed, “Wait, isn’t your name -,”. I stopped him, “Yep, it is, please for the love of all that is holy, just don’t.” After that, the female officer who’s name I learned was Talia, dropped me back off at the dam the next morning. Sam who had only the vaguest of ideas of what had gone on that night was filled in by Talia of the rest of the details and she quickly leaves afterwards leaving a cloud trail in the gravel. “Well,” Sam says “I guess this means your leaving.” “Are you kidding?” I say, “I only just got here.” Sam cracks a wide smile, “You’re in luck then, I forgot to show you something yesterday.” We go into the dam, down into the basement under the water level under the turbine rooms. I gasp as I look into the room, it was beautiful. There was a massive window looking out underwater. I could swear for the slightest second though that a fish swam by, displaying three eyes, and a sharp row of teeth. I knew in that moment that this river holds terrible and dark secrets and I had not even dipped toe in them. This is Katie, signing off, until next time.

2023.06.09 04:24 Accomplished-Emu1883 BloodBarren

“The Devil’s Train, they call it!” “I hear that it only travels West, and it runs on burning blood!” “It’s gears are oiled by beasts and it’s conductor is a hideous monster!”
Those were the words that got you, a simple Ranger, so intrigued. It’s why you had ridden our so far into the desert at night. Something called you. Haunted your dreams. Gold. Out West.
The same dream every damned man has. The Gold in the West… if this train could get you there… a ride might be worth it.
Where there was nothing before, train tracks stretch before you. A train, of golden and silver steel begins its slowing, finally screeching to a halt right in front of you.
A woman, small and beautiful steps down from the front cabin. She smiles at you.
“Ticket and ID?”
[This is where you create your character]
“An ID… but no Ticket… ah well. The train will be departing soon. I will accept payment now.”
Before you can even move, the girl draws a knife and cuts your right hand at the wrist. The limp falls to the ground, and she picks it up gingerly, putting it into her bag.
Bending down, she smiles at you warmly.
“Welcome aboard The Devil’s Train.” ————————— You awaken, this time in third person, on one of the seats of the train. You check your right hand, which has been replaced with a gold and silver prosthetic.
You are now free to explore the train cars, though very little will be found. You are in the second most front car, but the door to go forward is locked. You will find very little to do besides talk to the only passenger on board, who speaks to you as such;
“Ah… a Ranger are you? Good to see more folks like you around here. Someone has to bring some sort of law to these parts.” “The train? No! Of coarse not. It’s where the train is going that needs someone’s protection. Dangerous Outlaws are everywhere… but enough of that. My name is Philip. I was a Ranger, just like you. In fact, I’m only still here to fulfill the final part of my contract.”
He hands you the RunicRevolver.
“Funny little pistol. It will help you out. Now, I’ll be getting off at the next stop. How about you go talk to The Lady? She will explain the rest.”
Now the door to the first car opens, and you can go inside. Once inside, you can talk to the lady, who explains what she can.
“My apologies. Rangers like you tend to arrive with an invitation from those above… but we made an exception for you. That hand is made up of Gold and Quicksilver. It will prove invaluable to you when you are on the hunt. I see Philip held up his end of the contract. Good. May his spirit rest well. Now, before we depart, please go take a weapon from the Armory.”
The Armory is basically your Box for this game. In it, you will find 3 different weapons for 3 different builds.
“Very well. Now, where shall we depart to?” ————————— That concludes the intro for my personal Bloodborne Sequel set in the Wild West.
The setting was inspired by my recent fascination with the Old West, and my knowledge of the Gold Rush. A time where everyone was out for themselves, trying to find a hidden, powerful treasure.
In this case, you search for not only Gold, but Icor, the Golden Blood of Gods. It is this that has been planted into the minds of would-be gold-seekers. But very few understand the the importance of “Rivers of Gold”.
This game would have a heavier focus on gun-play, your gun being un-changeable but able to be outfitted with many different types of bullets.
As well, your golden prosthetic acts as your up-gradable visiral attack and heal.
You will still have blood vials, but only 10 at max, starting with 5 that Re-charges every rest. All the other healing must be done via “Blood Bullet”, Aka a special equitable bullet that heals you when it hits a target, Visiral attacks, or Back-stabs, where your hand creates a Quicksilver Needle to drain the blood of your fisted foe.
The game still features Trick Weapons, but they act more like last resource/boss fight weapons. Unless an enemy is tanky enough to survive, you will always want to sneak attack and heal from a backstab. But you DO have limited bullets that you have to either kill enemies for or use a consumable to get more.
In short, the game is like a Western Sekiro with Bloodborne weapons and themes.

2023.06.09 03:40 Adventurous-Ear9433 Why Mercury, mica, pyrite were found at Teotihuacan, 'local traditions of 'magician-Priest',Genetic Evidence for Founding Populations of Americas

Teotihuacan was built on a geodetic grid system (a power center) in perfect sacred geometrical alignment with the cosmos to harness the energy of earth and sky. To understand it, we must go back to the original truth of the purpose. advanced design of Teotihuacan suggests that ancient builders had knowledge, not only of architecture, but of complex mathematical and astronomical sciences. The term 'Teohuacan' was found inscribed halfway across the globe on monuments in China, the term means 'place of the sun'(*our translation is 'Place to tie up the sun)Mercury, Hermes was the great Messenger, which also speaks for the planets quick trips around the sun. An aerial view shocked many researchers, but following the traditions we know what every pyramid was used for. Circuit Board-Teohuatican with two large processor chips— the Sun Pyramid and the Moon Pyramid. . One of the most interesting things about Teotihuacan is the finding by archaeologists of the extensive use of mica embedded in numerous structures. This mineral is found 3,000 miles away in Brazil and it is found in all buildings, housing complexes, temples and along the roads so basically this mineral is all over Teotihuacan.
The pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan contained considerable amounts of mica in layers up to 30 cm. Human use of mica dates back to prehistoric times. Mica was known to ancient Indian, Egyptian, Greek and Roman andChinese civilizations, as well as the Aztec civilization of the New World. The earliest use of mica has been found in cave paintings created during the Upper Paleolithic period (40,000 BC to 10,000 BC). The ancient civilizations & their inexplicable similarities are only shocking when one has disregarded our ancestors traditions as 'mythical ', which is a mistake made by academics only recently.
Mica is stable when exposed to electricity, light, moisture, and extreme temperatures. It has superior electrical properties as an insulator and as a dielectric, and can support an electrostatic field while dissipating minimal energy in the form of heat; it can be split very thin (0.025 to 0.125 millimeters or thinner) while maintaining its electrical properties, has a high dielectric breakdown, is thermally stable to 500 °C, and is resistant to corona discharge. Muscovite, the principal mica used by the electrical industry, is used in capacitors that are ideal for high frequency and radio frequency. Phlogopite mica remains stable at higher temperatures (to 900 °C) and is used in applications in which a combination of high-heat stability and electrical properties is required. Muscovite and phlogopite are used in sheet and ground forms.
The Maya Codex Vaticanus records faithfully the very ancient oral traditions of Central America. In one curious passage it states that “in the First Age, giants existed in that country(Mexico). "These 7 who escaped from a deluge , arrive in Cholula and there began to build a tower… in order that should a deluge come again he might escape to it.” Nahuatl language it’s named Tlachihualtepetl (‘artificial mountain’). Originally it was named Acholollan (‘water that falls in the place of flight’).
-Olmec(Xi)-had two different religious associations (gya-fa):the jaguar-man or humano-feline cult and the humano-bird cult. The humano-feline cult was called the nama-tigi by the Olmecs, while the humano-feline cult was called the kuno-tigi..Xoc Bas Birdman
The Teotihuacan(Tlalocan )mural depicts a range of mountains covered in rolling clouds and mists, below a brilliant red sky dominated by the huge figure of Tláloc, the Maya/Aztec god of celestial waters. Falling from Tláloc's open hands are flaming droplets of celestial water, likely representing the high-resonance isotope of protium, that overtly reference the ignition of celestial water vapor to form HHO plasma. The differentiation of celestial waters from terrestrial waters through the infrasonic evaporation of water vapor corresponds to special modern water purification processes involving the separation of resonant lightwater (protium) from dissonant heavy waters deuterium & tritium
The plumed headdress of Tláloc is comprised of radiating feathers of green and red hues, representing the colors of auroral plasma. Three arching red plumes stand out from the other green plumes of the headdress, extending from either side of the central figure and from the foreheads (pineal glands) of the two smaller figures in profile, representing the three frequencies of sound that generate nonlinear standing waves. Rising above the giant central figure of Tláloc is a majestic twisting Tree of Life image, composed of intertwining plumes of yellow/green and pink/red aerial HHO plasma that appear identical to modern photographs of the plasma discharges of red sprites.
Tláloc, God of Celestial Water, god of the vapor that rises, from the earth warmed by the sun after the rains, god of the mist that ascends from the valleys at dawn, god of the water that returns to its source in the clouds that swim over the highest peaks, god of the humid incense from which rise the copal prayers and the prayers of sacrifice
Tláloc is the return of vapor that strains to rise, is the return of time that strains to remember. Tláloc, God of the Fight Against the Current, with whose aid the hero battles against the torrent toward his own origin and beginning, towards the wings of his soul, the wings that Tláloc hides in the hero's past
The cycle of years is past - the waiting ended. Come - reunite, pilgrims, for the sky is in flames! From Xochicalco to Teotíhuacan the red spreads one step, another step, and another, only twelve short steps from the cave of the womb to the final conflagration
The red skies depicted in the Teotihuacan mural are also directly referenced in the Pyramid of Fire Codex, when it states that "the sky will be in flames" that will spread from one pyamid to another, as the worldwide netwrok of pyramids and sacred sites become activated to bath the area in the brilliant infrared and ultraviolet-A light of aerial HHO plasma plumes.ancient, unknown science designed to create energy directed up is excavating the tunnel.
-The geoposition of Teotihuacan pyramid complex (19.68°N 98.83°W), reveals a nonlinear (or Fibonacci-based) resonant alignment with respect to the Great Pyramid of Giza, being 7,684 miles away or 30.9% of the Earth's mean circumference (of 24,892 miles)..which is also observed in the Paracas petroglyphs.
The Sanskrit descendant cultures of Asia express the same essential interpretation given by the Maya culture of Central America; identifying the planet Mercury as ‘the fast runner’ that takes ‘quick flight’ around the sun, having a short orbital period of approximately 88 days. Among Nahuatl cultures, the art of running was crucial to the functioning of society, enabling the rapid conveyance of messages over long distance.
Mercury is the link (messenger) between the gods (higher principles) and humankind. In the ancient art of alchemy, such as in Hermeticism, Mercury, sulfur, and salt were the Earth's three principle substances that represent the trinity in creation. As sulphur is the symbol for the active principle, mercury is the symbol of the passive principle. The symbol of Mercury is the cosmic womb being incubated by the cross of the four elements of creation - earth, air, fire and water. Mercury is the messenger in Astrology as it is in mythology. It is the planet of day-to-day expression and communication. Mercury's action is to take things apart and put them back together again. It is an opportunistic planet, decidedly unemotional and curious. Mercury not only rules communication, it represents coordination. Thought processes, ideas, and sensory information from both unconscious and unconscious sources all need to be coordinated and understood.
Ive said before that the mercury was used to accomplish communication wth the Gods, The fluid metal element mercury was extolled as generating the luminosity of the blood of gods, for its threefold biophotonic extension of human longevity, whereby adepts of the alchemical arts were able to attain long lifespans. Mercury was closely associated with its extreme volatility, which must be carefully controlled to achieve positive results. Mercury was considered an ethereal element for its low boiling point of 357°C. When heated above this temperature, quicksilver will rapidly vaporize as toxic fumes inspiring an association with quick flight: ‘mercury has wings’.
A number of the Mesoamerican pyramids there are key components designed into their construction that act as magnifiers. These components appear to be important in the creation, magnification, and distribution of telluric fields.Pyramid & Scalar WavesEarly Irrigation of Teotihuacan
Provenance od Limestone used in Teotihuacan
Identification of Pyrite & Hematite
• Water, either moving naturally including rivers or cenotes (found at El Castillo at Chichen Itza) or by artificial canals or tunnels, similar to the Temple of Inscription found at Palenque.)
• Geo-magnetic fields. Naturally formed telluric fields that have high and low period throughout day and night.
• Pyramid design. The specific pyramid shape appears to greatly enhance the telluric fields that pulse up and into the center of the chamber.
• Pyramid interior fill. At a number of pyramids, rocks that are good electromagnetic conductors fill the interior of the pyramids and are used to enhance the pulsing field. Rocks that have veins with quartz, granite, and other electrical conducting properties appear to be favored. Characterization of lime carbonates in plasters from Teotihuacan, Mexico: preliminary results of cathodoluminescence and carbon isotope analyses
Dr Burke &Dr Brooker research determined that each location had been chosen because of its naturally occurring telluric energy field that pulsed up and into the structure or surrounding area. Also Burke and his research partner Kaj Halberg discovered electro-magnetic signatures that measured impressive charges on top of the pyramid. In a series of scans, the readings showed an average change of 908 volts over a short period of time, which was concentrated in the early morning hours. As ive stated in the past, this is the ideal time for sungazing. The pineal, contains magnetite & creates its own magnetic field. This was once a universal practice at Sacred sites, in 2009 until Nov 2012 The grand maya council held 52 full moon ritual of the new cycle where we visited sacred sites around the world and brought back these rituals. Burke mentions the readings and states, “These voltages might sound lethal and if it were a household current they could be. However, static electric charge in the air is a different type of electricity and even a thousand volts is not dangerous.” His discovery of pyramid field generation is fascinating, but what he actually uncovered was a means of generating and perhaps distributing electromagnetic energy within a pyramid complex. Which aligns with the term used for the ancient Egyptians, the Great PrNtr-house of Nature, or house of energy).
Stanford edu-Native American & Polynesian population The Genetic Evidence for 2 founding populations has constantly confirmed our traditions, the idea of independent invention is absolute nonsense. Theres an overwhelming amount of evidence, "believe" is a term unfamiliar to Dogon culture & ive yet to see the point in such a thing. If preconceived biases have clouded the minds of the majority, and they ignore evidence thats their fault. The age of the Fourth Sun, the Age of the Black Headed People (Aztec), or the Age of Heroes (Inca). This is the era in which Quetzalcoatl appeared in Mexico -- tall of stature, bright of countenance, bearded, and wearing a long tunic. His staff, shaped like a serpent, was painted black, white, and red [reminiscent of American Indians' mythology of three races of Man]. The staff was inlaid with precious stones and adorned with six stars.
-Between the 14th and 16th centuries during the Aztec era, Quetzalcoatl was worshipped as the patron of priests, the inventor of books and the calendar, as well as the protector of goldsmiths and other craftsmen..Shamanism, was invented in west Africa & brought to the Mesoamerican civilizations. The Aztec oral traditions say that Quetzalcoatl & his followers brought these beliefs ,and came from the East across the oceans. This is now corroborated by genetic, skeletal remains, artifacts, you name it. Quetzalcoatl was just a High Priest of Anu. The Gold tipped spears,or as Columbus calls it ' guanin 'to the Indians of Hispaniola. Samples of which sent back to Spain on a mail boat, and the proportion was found to be identical to what was being forged in African Guinea.
Moche Reed BoatThe Xi(Olmec) were a mix of a Polynesian/Oceanic elite aristocratic people accompanied by priests of the Orisha(Yoruba)/Mende(MalinkeBambara)responsible for introducing the religious practices and astronomical worship of the Mother Goddess complex (Venus, the Dogon Sirius observation and the Venus worship of the Olmecs, the use of the ax in the worship of Shango among he Yoruba of West Africa and the use of the ax in Olmec worship as well as the prominence of the thunder God later known as Tlalock among the Aztecs). It was R1b-V88(Yoruba) that were known as magicians to the Mayans & local Aymara over in Bolivia because of their knowledge of acoustics, which they have preserved from the Nile Valley (Anu colleges of Heliopolis).
Again, we see Toward the end of the Fourth Sun, wars between the gods were taking place. [The Battle of the Titans?] The gods' war brought havoc to the land; wild animals overran mankind, and Tollan was abandoned. The fourth Sun had begun 5,042 years before the time of the Codex Vaticano-Latino 3738 (1533). The time the Fourth Sun ended is not stated, but the Codex was written during the Fifth Sun. The Fourth Sun may have perished by means of the Jaguar. The Fifth Sun is referred to as the Age of Kings by the Incas.

2023.06.09 03:34 KestheProphetofGod Oracle 26

And, I saw the Church, Scattered across seven mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. They have no master. The mountains were wet with rain, and they clung to the rocks because they had no shelter. The devil's fire consumed the forest, and set the mountains ablaze. Mountains fall into the sea, and become a sanctuary of sin. The waters you drink, are poison to the soul. Their seed is of the serpent, the cause of all suffering and shame. When they said there was peace and safety, sudden destruction came, and they will not escape the wrath to come. Their slain shall also be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcasses, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood. For, He has made a new threshing instrument having teeth, beating them, making the hills as chaff. Your iniquities have blasphemed God's name upon the hills, therefore, I will measure you and your works. They have become lost, because their pastors have led them astray. They have turned them away on the mountains, they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their way. Their persecutors are swifter, and they pursue them, and lay wait in the wilderness. The shepherds slumber, and the people are scattered upon the mountains, and no one gathers them. Come out of her, bride of Jesus! Depart from the peak of Amana, from the peak of Senir and Hermon, from the dens of lions, and from the mountains of leopards! Your inheritance is the Mountain of the Lord, where the nations shall flow into it. The Lord's anger is kindled against her, and her corpse will be refuse in the street. The sound of a great multitude, an uproar of kingdoms and nations gathering together. The nations roar and flee away at His rebuke, chased like chaff before the wind, and whirling dust before the storm. All you inhabitants of the world, When the signal is raised on the mountain, look! When the trumpet is blown, hear! The Lord waits like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest. When the blossom is gone, and the flower becomes a ripening grape, He will cut off the shoots with pruning knives, and cut and take away the spreading branches. They will all be left, to the birds of prey of the mountains, and the beasts of the winter. Their slain shall stench the mountains of the world. And, again, the Lord shall plant vineyards in the mountains of Samaria, and come like Tabor, and Carmel by the sea. The Lord said to me, "Son of man, set your face towards the mountains of the world, and prophesy against them!" The Lord will bring His sword upon you, and destroy your high places. He will cut down the son of the morning, by the sword of His truth. The boasts of the devil's son will be his doom. With hooks, the Lord will cage him, and his voice will be heard no more, on the mountains of the world. And, I saw a lion standing over a mountain, he was wearing a golden robe and crown. He pointed to the sky, and showed me a diamond cut in half. Both parts divided, but united. What was once the way, is now a bird of prey. This calls for wisdom. A kingdom's rise and demise, finds time under the wings of an eagle. It has been revived, and is now a thorn in my side. Could I be a simple man, and understand God's word as it is? God is not a God of confusion. He is a God of straightforwardness. Take every word as true. And, the lion said to me, "Look around you, see what's in front of you, and behind you. For, the Maker has made it plain to see. What is next to you, is beside me. What comes from beneath, is of the sea. Find the answer, and you'll be free." And, I saw the moon turned to a fire red, It spoke and said to me, "I will reveal myself the year our Lord began His ministry, just two days ago. For, a thousand years is a day, and a day is a thousand years." Man put his hands to the flinty rock, and overturns the mountains by the roots. He makes them his pasture, and he plunders every green thing. For, they yield to him indefensibly, where all the wild beasts play. Then, the earth reeled and rocked, the foundations trembled and quaked, because God was angry. His judgements are like the great deep, Do not fear if the earth gives way, or the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, by the One who by His strength, established them and causes them to fall. You, God, appoint them to their place, You water them from above, and the earth is satisfied with your work. For, the Lord of hosts will have His day, of tumult and trampling and confusion in the valley of vision, a battering of walls. He will lay waste to the mountains and hills, and dry up all their vegetation, He will turn the rivers into islands, and dry up pools, shepherds feeding themselves, waterless clouds swept along by winds, fruitless trees in autumn, twice dead, and uprooted. Truly the hills are a delusion, the orgies on the mountains, and not a joyful shout is heard. And, if anyone escapes, they will be like doves in the valleys, all of them moaning, each one over his iniquity. There are men in you, who slander to shed blood in the Name of the Lord, and the people in you, who eat on the mountains, they commit lewdness in your midst, and wander on every high hill. The Lord will fill the mountains with her slain, and make the lands a desolation and a waste, so that none will pass through, and her pride will come to an end. He will bring those with the deepest of faith, out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and bring them home to Zion. The vessels are skin deep, it is what's inside, that dictates the deepest of faith. And, the Lord said to me, "Call out to the people over the hills and mountains, that they have transgressed my name long enough." This is the wisdom of the Lord. The kings are shepherds of the hills and mountain tops, the high places. Their flock is lost. Then, I saw a shepherd dressed like a king, he pointed to me and said, "Gold and silver is their way, for they cannot say 'I love you' without their pay. Their fortune lies by the wayside. Their incense does not smell sweet, and their idols are made for devils. God desires steadfast love, not rituals of wonder, offerings of penance and shame. But, like Israel, they have transgressed the covenant of life, there they dealt faithlessly with the Lord, and chose the covenant of death." You should ask, How shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the God on high? Shall I come before Him, with offerings of malcontent? Will the Lord be pleased with your works, and ten thousand more added to it? Shall I give over my own for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? God has told you before, O' Church, what is good, and what does the Lord require of you? He requires justice, loving kindness, and to walk humbly with your God, and those you love, which is all people, all kindreds and tongues. There are no exceptions. But, I have heard your reviling against the mountains and hills, and the Lord God has given you over to them, to devour you and lay desolate, your valleys and ravines. Therefore, hear the word of the Lord God, who speaks to the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, the desolate wastes and the deserted cities, which have become prey and derision, for the nations of the world. Behold, God has spoken in His jealous wrath, because you have reproached the nations, with shame and suffering. Instead of changing your thoughts to God's, you chose to live as the world tells you. Jealousy and quarreling, debates over non-essentials, and follow this one, that one, or the other. You've built your foundation on the finest gold, hills of silver, valleys of costly stones, ravines of the finest wood, silken hay, and straw soft as wool. The Day has come, and your works are being brought to light. It will be revealed in the Refiner’s fire, and the fire will purge the impurities, from the carcasses of your harlotry with Mammon. Your faith and your works are dead, and only those with the deepest of faith, and a loving heart, will be saved, escaping the flames of God's wrath. What did Jesus say, about how others would know, we are followers of Him? How we love one another. This is wisdom. If you cannot enact the law without love, You are not authorized to enact the law.

2023.06.09 02:38 lcelerate Petrine is a pretty competent general

Introduction

Petrine is often an overlooked villain due to the fact she is underneath both Ashnard and Black Knight in terms of Daein's hierarchy and power. Most people notice how ruthless she can be as that is quite apparent but often overlook how cunning she is. She is often referred to as the same archetype as Narcian and Valter, the crazy evil general you must fight before late game which makes her come off as less competent than she truly is.

Chapter 5

Petrine is introduced after Daein fails to capture Princess Elincia and while it is ambiguous it is implied, she will execute the leader for his failure. This shows she's very ruthless, arguably to the detriment of Daein's army as fighting to the death isn't always better than a tactical retreat. However, it is Daein army's motto, and we know Ashnard is Daein's leader so one can argue she's compelled to obey his orders and is arguably being more ruthless than she otherwise would be.
Petrine: “What? What did you just say? I think I must be hearing things. I thought you said, “They got away.””
Dakova: “Ge-General Petrine. I am deeply ashamed. By my honor…”
Petrine: “Honor? I care nothing for your pathetic honor. Have you forgotten the Daein army’s motto? Success or failure, life or death. Hey, you! Get this trash out of here!”
Daein Soldier : “Yes, ma’am! Move it, you.”
Dakova: “W-wait! General Petrine, have mercy…”
Petrine: “Dog’s breath! I’m surrounded by worthless imbeciles. Ena!”
Anyway, Petrine is quick to ask Ena for advice on where the Greil Mercenaries are heading. Once Petrine is told they are heading to Gallia, she quickly takes the initiative to hunt them down. While this could be reckless compared to waiting for Ena to gather intel. However, one could argue this is actually smart despite her arrogant overconfidence due to the fact they must be defeated before they arrive to Gallia.
Petrine: “Tell me which way we should move to catch these mercenaries and the girl.”
Ena: “…The Crimean capital, Melior, is already under King Ashnard’s control…The remnants of the Crimean army are neglible…Which means the only place left for the princess to turn is south, to the kingdom of Gallia.”
Petrine: “Hah! So the girl, like her dead father before her, seeks the friendship of those hairy devils, eh? What an absolutely stupefying world we live in.”
Ena: “If she gains sanctuary in Gallia, capturing the princess will become that much more difficult….The mercenaries she has escorting her are a powerful group, not one to be taken lightly. I will gather intelligence on them as quickly as…”
Petrine: “It’s not necessary. I will head up the pursuit of our wandering princess.”
Ena: “General Petrine, you will go…yourself?”
Petrine: “If we know where the princess and her band are headed, there’s no need for subtlety. I’ll just hunt them down and kill them. Mercenaries? Hah! What’re they to me? Remember, I am General Petrine! No matter who I face, I have never failed, nor will I ever! Ha ha ha…”

Chapter 6

So Petrine had already taken the initiative of sending scouts to track them and figures out they are making their way through the forest in Crimea near Gallia. We learn how Petrine was angry with Ena being her tactician, but she still ended up asking her for advice in the previous chapter which goes to show that despite looking down on her allies, she gives them a fair chance.
Daein Soldier: “…And that’s when we lost track of them. I assigned a squad to pursue them and returned so I could give you this report.”
Petrine: “Understood. You may step down.”
Petrine: “So Princess Elincia is making her way through the forest to Gallia…Ena!”
Petrine: “It appears your advice was sound. Well done. You have earned my praise.”
Ena: “Thank you.”
Petrine: “When the king assigned me a tactician, I wondered what I had done to lose his trust. When I saw it was a young girl,I burned with anger at the king’s judgment. Still, it’s worked out better than I had expected. Keep up the good work.”
Ena: “Of course.”
Petrine: “Now then, it’s time for the hunt to begin.”
Soren forms a plan to send Greil, Shinon and Gatrie as an elite diversionary force to distract the Daein army waiting for them at the edge of the forest which could allow the main force to cut through the weakened Daein force that is guarding the point of exit.
Greil: “Hold it right there, everyone. We’re coming to the edge of the forest. Form up. Combat positions.”
Titania: “I don’t suppose our Daein pursuers were willing to let us just slip away.”
Soren: “There is no doubt that they will attack again. Without knowing their numbers, it is difficult to advise a course of action.”
Greil: “Take your best guess, Soren. With the limited information we have, what is the best way to proceed?”
Soren: “…Some of our group cannot fight. If we are caught, we’ll have a difficult time defending them and attacking the Daeins. I propose we separate into two groups: a small fighting force to engage the enemy and buy the main group some time, and the rest of us–who will escort the princess to Gallia at full speed.”

However, the plan fails due to the Daein army being concentrated in the location where Ike's force emerges preventing Greil from distracting them at a different point. Petrine being the overall commander of these troops as well as promising to begin the hunt must have been able to deduce where the main force would emerge allowing her to foil Soren's diversion strategy. In summary, she shows that she's good at predicting the movements of her enemy.
Ike: “So they’re waiting for us after all…”
Soren: “There are…more of them than I’d imagined there would be. I thought they would have been spread out across the forest border…I didn’t expect to see so many in one place.”
Ike: “Do we rethink our strategy?”
Soren: “No, we’ve already split up. It’s too late to reconsider now.”

Chapter 7

Ike is looking for his father in a fort but ends up getting ambushed by Daein soldiers. Soon after, Petrine shows up and orders Ike to give Elincia up or die but good thing is that Ike had already managed to send her to Gallia by the end of chapter 6 although she doubts he's telling the truth.
Petrine: “Ha ha ha…Found you at last. You provided more entertainment than I thought you would.”
Ike: “Who are you?”
Petrine: “Me? I am General Petrine, and my arrival marks your doom. Lament your fortune, dear children, for all hope is lost. You will not leave this place alive.”
Soren: “Petrine…of the Four Riders of Daein?”
Ike: “Do you know her, Soren?”
Soren: “If she’s who I think, then she’s one of the four generals who are King Daein’s most trusted confidants. She is said to wield a flame lance of terrible arcane might.”
Petrine: “Ha ha ha…You’ve heard of me? Why, I’m flattered. I’ll try to make this easy on all of you. Give me the princess, and do it now. If I roast the girl along with you curs, I won’t be able to present her head to His Majesty.”
Ike: “Sorry to tell you this, but the princess isn’t here. She’s been in Gallia for quite some time now.”
Petrine: “What…nonsense is that? Do you expect me to believe you? There’s no way mercenary scum like you could get past my troops!”
Soon Greil shows up and calls her out on her arrogance.
Greil: “They say that blind arrogance sows the field of its own destruction. Something tells me they were talking about you.”
Petrine: “Who–“
He challenges her to a one on one duel which proves to be too tantalizing as she does like to fight against strong opponents even though she was smart enough to know it was a ruse.
Greil: “You said your name was Petrine, is that right? Listen up. This place is nowhere near big enough. There’s not enough room for a true contest between the two of us. I’m going elsewhere. You coming?”
Petrine: “Do you actually think I’m going to fall for such a simple ruse?”
Greil: “You and I, we’ve got more power than the average person. We don’t come across a chance like this too often. I’d like to flex my muscles without any distractions getting in the way. You?”
Petrine: “Ha ha…You really do know how to sweet talk a girl, don’t you? All right, I’m coming.”
Greil: “Over here.”
Greil was right that Petrine was too arrogant but despite Petrine being on the verge of defeat, it sounds like she has a plan to turn things around.
Petrine: “Dog’s breath! Who are you, man? You look like a common sellsword, but you fight like a demon!”
Greil: “What’s wrong? Ready to surrender?”
Petrine: “And admit defeat? Me? Dont’t be absurd…”

Well Petrine's reinforcements show up and box the Greil Mercenaries in which shows why she was so confident in taking on Greil. She had a contingency in place in case Greil proved to be too strong which goes to show while she can be quite arrogant, she thinks ahead.
Daein Soldier: “Here they are! Over here!”
Ike: “Blast. Enemy reinforcements! Father! Let’s get out of here! There are too many–“
Greil: “…Looks like I’ve got no choice.”
Petrine: “Ha ha ha ha…So now, the tide has turned, hasn’t it?”
Petrine: “All troops, attack! Kill them! Kill them all!”
Greil: “Hm…Looks like our luck’s run out.”
Ike: “Father!”
Greil: “You have to survive this, Ike. I’m not going to lose you, not in this place. Are you ready?”
Ike: “Yes, Commander!”
Petrine: “You’ve nowhere to run. Curse whatever gods you hold, for they have abandoned you!”
Granted, she did end up getting her army ambushed from behind by the laguz foiling her strategy.
Ike: “What was that?”
Daein Soldier: “B-b-beasts! Gallian beast soldiers!”
Daein Soldier: “R-r-run! We’re going to be torn to shreds!”
Petrine: “Stand your ground, all of you! Don’t panic! I will personally slaughter the first man to turn his back on the enemy!”
Daein soldier: “Noooo!”
Daein Soldier: “B-b-beasts!”
Petrine: “Pfeh. Worthless cowards, one and all.”
Ranulf: “Attention, Daein soldiers! Leave this place at once! If you do not comply immediately, you will face Gallia’s full strength!”

To her credit, originally she did not know that Elincia had already gotten away to Gallia to call for help, let alone fast enough for Gallia to mobilize troops and reach them in time. Even Ike was surprised at Elincia and the laguz showing up despite him knowing that Elincia had reached Gallia.
Ike: “Princess Elincia…Why did you return here?=”
Ranulf: “The princess came and requested Gallian aid for your mercenary company. That is what brings us here.”
Petrine shows a lot of bravery and is willing to continue the fight even when her underlings flee which may sound dumb but those are Ashnard's orders. It goes to show he's more of a dumb brute than she is. Anyway, much like how the Greil Mercenaries were saved by the laguz, Petrine is saved by the Black Knight and he promises to convince Ashnard to explain her retreat.
Petrine: “Threaten me all you like. It’s not going to frighten me off. If I leave, His Majesty will have me executed. I’d rather die here in battle, with my honor intact.”
Black Knight: “Withdraw, General Petrine.”
Petrine: “The Black Knight…”
Black Knight: “As for your king, you have nothing to fear. I’ll explain things to him. Take your men and go.”
Petrine: “Tsk! All troops, fall back!”

Chapter 19

When Ike invades Daein, Petrine decides to hire Naesala to fight alongside Daein to counter the invasion. She pays part of the cost upfront while promising to pay the rest afterwards, striking a balance between Daein's interests and Kilvas' interests. All of this goes to show she too is quite pragmatic and cunning.

Naesala: General Petrine, Kilvas will always stand at Daein's side... As long as we receive our payment, of course.
Petrine: If gold is all it takes, then may our friendship never end. See to it that your performance warrants such consideration! Homasa! Come here!
Homasa: Yes.
Petrine: Work with King Kilvas and put a stop to Crimea's army. No screw ups! Or else!
Homasa: Leave it to me, General.
Petrine: I will not suffer another failure, King Kilvas. You must finish them, and do so quickly...Are we clear? Arrr! I am sick to death of being made a fool by that Crimean floozy and her pathetic band of sellswords!
Naesala: And the remaining portion of my fee?
Petrine: Don't worry, we have it ready. You'll get paid when the job is done.
Naesala: As long as we're clear on that point, everything's settled. Well then, I'm off.

The same Naesala was so cunning he managed to outwit Morris, one of Daein's commanders, into creating an enemy with Begnion so that he can steal both of their treasures while they fight amongst each other.
Norris: Grrr...Look at this mess! I paid you good money to help me outmaneuver everyone else and catch the Crimean princess's ship first. Everything seemed to be going exactly as we'd planned. But now, we're being attacked by a squad of pegasus knights! We're flying no flags! We've stripped our armor of any crests! They should have no clue who we are! Why are they attacking us!?
Naesala: Call it a miscommunication...One of those unfortunate misunderstandings that seem to happen now and again.
Norris: You deceitful...King Kilvas! I wouldn't be surprised if you'd planned this treachery from the start!
Naesala: Such unkind words! You wound me. I would never intentionally lie to you. And as proof, I bring good news. I have it on unshakable authority that the ship that just sailed up alongside Begnion's carries the Crimean princess.
Norris: Oh...But unless we can break through the Begnion ranks, there's nothing we can do...
Naesala: Would you care for some assistance?
Norris: And what would it cost me this time?
Naesala: You learn quickly, my friend. Let's see, you'd be receiving my own royal assistance, so...double--no, triple rates. ---------------------------------------------
Naesala: We should take advantage of the confusion of battle to help ourselves to the cargo. These humans seem interested only in fighting their fellow men. If they can't be bothered to defend their treasure, I think it fair to say they've lost their claim to it.

Naesala does betray when Reyson talks to him which does foil Petrine's plan. However, Naesala does forfeit his right to gold. Furthermore, Naesala only betrayed her because Reyson joined Ike's army and because Naesala needed to make up to Reyson for selling him to Oliver. Petrine is not privy to these two facts so its not like she made a blunder due to oversight/miscalculation on her part.
Reyson Oh, yes! Friends! In fact, we're such good friends that you sold me to that foul, bloated man!
Naesala I didn't really sell you! Besides, I planned on rescuing you right away. You were just impatient and flew away on your own, so--
Reyson Are you blaming me?
Naesala No, no! Well, maybe... I mean...It was I who was in the wrong. On all accounts.
Reyson ...
Naesala No one was hurt in the end. Come on, smooth those ruffled feathers. All right?
Reyson Leanne is alive.
Naesala Yes, Tibarn's attendant told me. That's wonderful news. When he sees her face, I'm sure King Lorazieh will begin to feel better at once. Things are really looking up, aren't they, Reyson?
Reyson ...I suppose that... If you hadn't deceived me and taken me to the forest... We might not have discovered her... So, I will forgive you. Just this once!
Naesala Reyson! Oh, that's--
Reyson WITH...conditions. Will you accept them?
Naesala ...What are they?
Reyson Pull your troops from this battle. Now. And never again enter into combat against your fellow laguz.
Naesala Oh, come now, Reyson. That's asking too much--
Reyson What will you do, then? Will you continue to fight the Crimean army to which I'm in service?
Naesala Very well. You win, Reyson. I'll leave and take my soldiers with me. However, I cannot say what the future will bring. I have the fate of my nation to consider after all.

Chapter 20

Once Ike's army approaches Talrega, Petrine forms a clever yet devious strategy to slow him down and exhaust the army. Also, this shows she understands how much of a threat Ike is and isn't going to underestimate him unlike a lot of other villains who only lose because they underestimate the heroes and toy with them.
Shiharam Yet, that's... General Petrine! If we do this thing, Daein will suffer.
Petrine It's for the good of the country. Besides, it's only one territory! Stop mewling like an old woman.
Shiharam I hear you, and yet...If the goal is merely to stop the Crimean army, this is not necessary. The strength of my troops will suffice to--
Petrine The last idiot who told me that ended up on a corpse pile! Now listen to me, and listen well. No matter how passionate you are when you tell me you'll defeat Crimea, I'll never pin my hopes on a bunch of foreigners. All you have to do is stop their forward progress. That's all. My plan will accomplish this.
The strategy was the flood the area which turned the ground into mud making it hard for ground units to traverse the terrain. What makes the strategy even more effective is that Shiharam's army is mostly wyvern knights who fly so it doesn't impact them as much as Ike's army.
Bengion Soldier General Ike! Sir, we've got trouble! The road ahead is blocked by water!
Elincia What? How can that be?
Bengion Soldier Perhaps a local river has flooded. The whole region is soaking wet.
Ike Is the road completely impassable?
Bengion Soldier No, sir! We can move forward, but the water's turned the ground to mud. And the water is still flowing at a tremendous rate, sir! This is going to cut back our speed dramatically.
Soren This is the work of Daein. They thought to impede our progress in order to gain some time for themselves. And they've succeeded.

While Ike certainly wins the battle, it has slowed him down due to him distributing his supplies to the refugees of Talrega who have lost their homes in the flood along with the fact it was a hard fought battle due to the terrain conditions.
Ike: Soren. Take a portion of our supplies and distribute it among the locals.
Soren: What? Are you serious?
Ike: Our opponent is the Daein army. We've no quarrel with these people.
Soren: Ike, I know you feel for these people, but this is war! We don't have--
Ike: I don't know what it will accomplish, Soren. But, moving on without lifting a finger is something I cannot do.
Titania: I understand. I'd rather regret something I had done than regret taking no action at all.
Elincia: I would like to help, too. Perhaps I can aid the injured.
Soren: ...Idiocy...
Petrine: Well, that's that. We gained some time by flooding the river, but it won't hold them for long. I knew that foreign cur was useless... It looks like the decisive battle will be fought near the capital.

Chapter 23

Petrine makes a last stand on the bridge that connects Daein and Crimea. She has modified the bridge with traps which makes it hard for you to advance. A lot of people complain that the bridge chapter is annoying due to the pitfalls but that's the point, Daein is supposed to be annoying to fight. It's also good for psychological warfare as it can cause panic in the army as many soldiers get trapped. This psychological manipulation is made even more potent when Petrine orders her army to kill off the enemy one by one, thereby making the enemy troops panic as they are picked off one at a time.
Petrine: So they're finally here, are they? Has the work on the bridge been finished? And your answer had better be yes!
Daein Soldier: Y-yes, General! Do you think it will work?
Petrine: Sometimes the simplest of traps offer up the best results. Lure the enemy in, and then finish them off one by one. Got it?

Petrine sends Haar to flank the enemy from behind once Ike's army has been lured in thereby effectively sandwiching his army on a booby trapped bridge.
Petrine All right, Haar! Time for you to go to work.

Haar ends up defecting when Jill talks to him but Petrine anticipates this and has a bunch of her henchmen fight alongside Haar to keep tabs on him which goes to show she anticipated Haar defecting. This goes to show she has great predictive capabilities and plans far in advance.
Haar: The ones responsible for General Shiharam's death, are the Daeins. I pretended to return to the fold so I could get close to General Petrine...I'm just waiting for my chance. But I think they may be on to me. My unit's a bunch of tough guys who serve as Petrine's watchdogs. Plus, I've been ordered to charge the Crimeans head-on. It's Daein's way of killing two birds with one stone.
Jill: Don't do it! Come fight by our sides! If you're looking to kill Daeins, then we share the same goal!
Haar: Jill... I, um... I don't trust Crimea anymore than I do Daein. I'm sick to death of serving countries.
Jill: Captain...
Haar: Still... I can't abandon the daughter of the man to whom I owe so much... Guess I'm changing sides again.

Now Petrine does lose the fight but one of the reasons she loses is that at last minute, Lucia decides to ambush Petrine's army at the edge of the bridge in Crimea when Ike's army also gets near the edge, this pincer proves to be too much. There is no shame in losing to the combined efforts of Lucia and Ike when Lucia herself is a great tactician and we all know Ike is a brilliant general who has a brilliant strategist at his side.
A unit is near the end of the bridge
Lucia: Is that the Crimean army? ......................................... Two turns later
Lucia: Are you ready to fight?! Are you ready to die?! We must give our all to protect Princess Elincia!
Crimean Soldier: My fellow Crimeans! Now is the time we stand and fight for the life of our homeland!

Conclusion

While Petrine may have failed to prevent Ike from reaching Crimea, she does show to be a formidable general regardless and her failure is made even less bad when you consider most of Daein's soldiers were in Crimea. Three of the four riders of Daein are fought on Crimean soil as well as Ashnard himself. Daein's best soldiers were in Crimea and they were more numerous too.
Overcoming many hardhsips, Ike and company finally arrive in theDaein capital of Nevassa. However, much to their dismay, King Ashnard is nowhere to be found. According to intellegence reports, the king is in Crimea's capital of Melior, preparing to wage war against Gallia. In addition, at least half of the Daein army, including its most elite forces, remain unharmed and at his side.
Petrine might be arrogant and reckless, but she does take the threat seriously and plans accordingly.

2023.06.09 02:16 Difficult_Cicada_816 Heartache

I feel so lost. My heart hurts. I have done nothing but waste so many years of my life. I don't have anyone to turn to. My mom passed away last year and my dad is absent. I used to self harm to make myself feel alive, but it does not work anymore. I feel empty. I wish it was possible to cease to exist. I want to be dead but I'm too scared to die. It's terrifying, just thinking about it. I thought about jumping off a building or into a river. It seems to be the quickest way. But, in those few seconds that I am falling, will I regret it?
