2023.06.04 21:43 bearsoulz0891 Hi, I'm back with a new first build

Hi, so I posted on here on Friday with a build that was quite shit and underpowered for too high a cost. So I'm back with improvements based somewhat on people's advice from last week. I am still dumb as fuck and riddled with anxiety and do not know what I am doing or how any of this works, I just want to play games. I only want to buy from Amazon or best buy (if it's in stock locally) for reasons that I don't wish to disclose, I am aware that I can save money shopping else where but I do not wish do so, despite how stupid that sounds. In my last post people recommended builds with the b650 gaming x ax mother board instead of the b650 aorus elite ax motherboard I have here, but I can get a discount by bundling the aorus motherboard with the Ryzen 7 7700x, so I wish to do so unless someone can explain why I should definitely go with the b650 gaming x ax instead. I also like having more USB slots since 1 is always taken by my external storage and 2 by my wireless mouse and keyboard. I know 2tb sdd might be overkill but I also store my photography stuff on my PC as a backup and mod any game I can so I need all the space I can get.
I am very unsure on if my ram choice will fit with my CPU cooler, I've read conflicting stories on the ram clearance, so please advise me on that, thank you.
Do I need this cable to go from the GPU to the power supply or does either the GPU or the power supply come with what I need? I'm confused on what cable I need to look for. CableMod C-Series Pro ModMesh Sleeved 12VHPWR PCI-e Cable for Corsair (White, 16-pin to Triple 8-pin, 600mm) 16-pin to triple 8-pin
I already have a case, the GPU and cooler have plenty of depth and width and length. My monitor is my 4k tv cause I don't have room for a desk with monitors and my tv all together.
Also I think(wow thats new for me) that I can use my os from my current PC if I put my HDD in my new case along with my ssd, do I have that right? I would store pictures and shit on the HDD, not games or anything like that. Plus I wouldn't have to transfer all my files over then correct?
I'm really looking for assurance that all these parts will work together before I place my orders, or reasons why they will not. I don't want to spend 2k just to fuck it up.
Now I shall brace to be flayed alive for my probably stupid build choices. Thank you in advance for any help or opinions. Have a nice day
Man I hope I dont sound quite as dumb as I feel and that this all makes sense

2023.06.04 21:41 Scooby359 Head's up: June 12th protest of Reddit's API changes.

This subreddit will be joining in on the June 12th-14th protest of Reddit's API changes that will essentially kill all 3rd party Reddit apps.

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to Bacon Reader to Boost.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

What's the plan?

On June 12th, many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.

What can you do as a user?

What can you do as a moderator?

Thank you for your patience in the matter,

2023.06.04 21:38 HHHRobot Heads up: this sub will be locked June 12-13, to protest Reddit trying to kill 3rd party apps

TLDR; This subreddit will be going dark for 48 hours on June 12th, the sub will be locked and no one will be able to use it. We encourage everyone to stay off of Reddit those two days.

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to Sync to Boost to BaconReader.
Anyone that has compared the official Reddit app to the most notable 3rd party apps knows there's a massive difference in terms of usability, readability, customizability, and presence of UX dark patterns. Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.

What can you do?

  1. Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app: sign your username in support to the relevant posts in /save3rdpartyapps and /modcoord.
  2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to people you know who use Reddit. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join at /ModCoord, and anyone who uses Reddit to join at /save3rdpartyapps.
  3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!

ESP32 USB is frustrating, try JCUSB for S3 + USB + CDC + OpenOCD + Arduino IDE
YouTube creator and Arduino Expert Andreas Spiess recently published a video on using the USB debugging support on ESP32 for Arduino users at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJSBTFsOnoA&t=0s. He presents 4 ways to use USB with ESP32. His video culminates the struggle many have had with ESP32 support over the past 7 years since Espressif launched ESP32. I started coding in the 1970s and waited for an Arduino that has a great IDE, networking (Wifi and Bluetooth), lots of memory, debugging, and a community making useful libraries. The latest USB support in ESP32-S3 finally meets my needs.
However, Andreas' video on USB is like my Arduino experience overall. I found tremendous good will and very little coordination. For someone like me there still is no "Start Here" in Arduino. It's a mash-up of C programming (ugh, C should have been retired decades ago) and hardware variations. Andreas presents 4 ways ESP32 supports USB, and 1 of them meets my needs.

JCUSB

I call this 1 solution JCUSB short for JTAG + CDC + USB + OpenOCD + Arduino IDE Debugger. Only ESP32-S3 and its successors support JCUSB - it won't work on ESP32 and ESP32-S2. JCUSB uses a custom USB cable to connect an ESP32 to a Windows or MacOS computer. Here is the custom cable:
JCUSB Cable
Install Arduino IDE 2.1 or greater, choose the ESP32S3 Dev Kit board, then choose these settings in the Tools drop-down menu:
JCUSB Arduino IDE 2.1 settings for ESP32-S3 board
Choosing a different board may cause Arduino IDE to not show you the needeed JTAG, CDC, and OpenOCD parameters needed for JCUSB to function.
Choose the ESP32 S3 Board type and serial port. Click compile, then click Debug.
Arduino IDE 2.1 Debugger
In Arduino IDE 2.1's Debug panel set debug breakpoints, inspect variables and step through execution of your code.
JCUSB gives fast uploads, debugging, breakpoints, variable inspection, and stepping in and out of code. The alternative is to load up my code with Serial.println(""); commands and compile-upload-run.
I created a video answer to Andreas with more discussion of the problems I encountered:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQBxMgNvwZI
I am using JCUSB in my upcoming open source project Reflections, a portable and mobile way to make animation experiences possible. Check https://github.com/frankcohen/ReflectionsOS for source code, examples, experiments, and details.
And please let me know where I got any of this wrong, and how to fix it.
Thanks!
-Frank

2023.06.04 21:21 exscionewhuman 3k budget for a new PC, recommendations?

What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
Gaming/Development (programming)
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
3000$
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
I can order the parts 1st of July
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Graphics Card, Processor, Motherboard, Ram, Power Supply, Case (Unless I can reuse my raidmax mid atx), SSD, Water Cooling. I have Windows 10, would I need Windows 11?
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
US, I don't have access to Microcenter, I'm in Cali though
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
I'll be reusing my Asus 24" monitor, steelseries Mouse, and corsair keyboard.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
No
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
I wanted a larger SSD, I'm currently using a 100GB one, but I'll keep my old 2 TB hard drive
What type of network connectivity do you need? (Wired and/or WiFi) If WiFi is needed and you would like to find the fastest match for your wireless router, please list any specifics.
Wired
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
No preference really but I want it to be quiet, LED lighting would be a bonus as long as it's not to difficult to setup
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
I already have Windows 10, so unless Windows 11 is a recommended upgrade then no
I haven't built a PC in a very long time and I've never done watercooling, so ease of setup is a bonus for me!
Thanks for any help!

2023.06.04 21:20 No_Palpitation9689 Builder sales person did not answer phone to take deposit on lot, now claims it's sold

I went to the sales office for a new construction community and worked with a salesperson for a particular builder to choose a house, lot, etc. We agreed next steps would be me to make sure of my decision and contact him to put a deposit for a lot hold on that particular lot. He assured me that the lot wasn't going anywhere (obviously not a guarantee). The next day I called him and tried to put a deposit but he never answered the phone after repeated contact. I could only get in touch with him after I physically visited the sales office again a couple weeks later which is a 5 hour drive from my current location. After doing this, he told me that the lot was sold, although I can't find a "NOTICE COMMENCEMENT" from the county for this lot which I am not an expert on but these seem to be filed pretty promptly for builder inventory houses or if someone goes to contract. The only lots available are far less desirable and there's conveniently for them been a bump in base price for all of the house models as well as the lot prices. Is this builder playing games and attempting to force me into a crappy lot for more money?

2023.06.04 21:09 RobinWuzz The technology behind the leading telco edge cloud deployment

The Rakuten Mobile edge network comprises using the SymcloudTM Platform and SymcloudOrchestrator. For 5G base stations and distributed unit (DU) deployment, Symcloud can run on a single physical core leaving the rest of the server hardware for running demanding DU workload. Symcloud includes end-to-end solution automation, VNF/CNF harmonization and application-aware Kubernetes (K8s) storage.
Full stack e2e automation: Symcloud Multi-Domain Orchestrator manages the lifecycle of any workflow including:

The Methods of Procedures (MOPs) scripting engine enables large-scale management of any device or appliance, all 1-clicked automatically triggered via a policy engine.
The automated workflows support container-based network functions (NFs), VM-based NFs and party physical NFs, simultaneously. It is fast and easy to use with the custom Service Designer, MOPs Automation Studio and Orchestrator GUIs, where one can mix/match and reuse multiple workflow elements, as well as existing executors and scripts.
This can all be reduced to one, contextually aware, unified workflow. In a single click or automated event once can prep server configurations, spin up K8s clusters, provision network devices, deploy NFs and bring up a custom service chain, working in a GitOps model.
VNF and CNF harmonization: Unlike others in the industry, Symcloud runs VMs and containers on the exact same platform, so there are no resource or lifecycle management/operations silos. Therefore, there is no need to have separate teams or operations for the two of them. Not two products, not two sets of rules, but one single completely unified workflow and management layer.
K8s-Application Aware Storage: We have led the way in “application-aware” software defined storage, providing data protection and disaster recovery that automates tasks the entire “applications + metadata + secrets + data” for application, backup, restore, snapshots, clones and more. Users can manipulate data on a per application basis instead of managing numerous disparate storage volumes. Symcloud has enabled Rakuten Mobile to deploy the world's first E2E cloud-native, fully containerized 5G network, where VMs on CNP ran 30% faster than legacy OpenStack. Symcloud saved Rakuten Mobile 50% on capex compared to traditional deployments, including 70% opex savings for infrastructure preparation and 80% deployment time savings, reducing tasks from days to minutes.
The edge cloud is being built right now and 2023 could be the year that it reaches “escape velocity,” according to the report. We believe strongly in the telco cloud as a way for MNOs to reset their cost model and build a network that will deliver next generation services.

2023.06.04 21:08 LongJonSiIver Head's up: June 12th protest of Reddit's API changes.

On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.

2023.06.04 20:58 CMVB Looking for advice on horrendous experience

This might get rambling, so fair warning.
Found a car just right for us at a Carmax about 90 min away. Got it transferred for free to a location 50 min away (when there's no traffic). Process was smooth, but then the problems began.
The car wasn't available for a test drive for almost a week after it arrived at the new store. It finally became available late on a Friday afternoon, leaving me no time to have my mechanic check it out that weekend. So, we schedule the test drive for the following Friday (this would be the Friday before Memorial day), so I can have the mechanic inspect it. We do that, everything looks fantastic. We tentatively schedule the delivery for Tuesday (day after Memorial day).
Go to our bank on Saturday, they get a rate vastly better than Carmax's, so we decide to do the financing with them. After we get home, the sales manager at the Carmax location starts giving me a hard time about how long they have held the car for - it would be 8 days on that Tuesday. It was an annoying call, because he acted like he was moving heaven and earth to keep it reserved for me that long.
I then spend all of Tuesday through Thursday of this past week going back and forth between my bank, Carmax, and my insurance, to get all the paperwork lined up just the way everyone wanted. Carmax was less than helpful in this process, but other than not knowing what forms were expected for a sale in our state, they weren't terrible. We get everything wrapped up and schedule the delivery for Friday at 2pm, which is when the quoted offer for our trade-in expired.
Getting close to 3pm on Friday, I call up. I'm told they're running late. Ok, whatever, we live in an area with bad traffic.
4pm comes, I call again. Now, all of a sudden, its not that they're late, its that one of the RMV forms they needed didn't have a stamp from my insurance, and they couldn't deliver the car without that. Nobody looked at it until then, supposedly, even though I had that form and could have provided it at any moment, had they informed me that they were missing the stamp. Oh, and it took until about 6pm to tell me that was the issue. The moment they ask for it, I upload the stamped document.
Then, they finally take the initiative to call back with their next problem, another issue with the insurance, which we resolve within 15 minutes, and give them that document, as well. But hey, at least this time, they actually were proactive enough to call me, rather than make me call them to figure out what they were missing.
Of course, by this point, its nearly 8pm, so nothing is happening Friday. So, I call up Saturday morning. No deliveries left on Saturday that are remotely convenient. Oh, and all the while, they've been assuring me that they'll honor the original trade-in quote they gave us, even though Friday was the expiration date. So, we schedule for a Monday delivery, because apparently, they don't do Sunday deliveries. Thats fair.
Today, they call up, and ask me to retake the photos for the trade-in appraisal, due to the original appraisal having expired. Just a technical issue that their system is forcing them to do, not a huge deal. I go online to re-upload those photos, and it only gives me the option to bring in the car for the appraisal.
I call them up *again* and they inform me that, due to the computer issues, they can't accept the photos, I have to come in. To have them appraise a car that I would then bring back to my house to be picked up by them tomorrow. I point out how impractical that is, especially when they're telling me this halfway through the day, on a Sunday. They refuse to pick up the car without the appraisal.
I ask them for any compensation for my trouble, and their offers were either to fill up my gas tank twice (at their location, which, again, is 48 miles away or to give me oil change coupons, again, at their location, 48 miles away.
I ask if it makes sense to just complete the entire transation today, if we are being forced to go into the dealership today. They're happy to do that, but they'll need both me and my wife there (we're trading in her car). My 8 month pregnant wife. Oh, and we have a toddler, so we'd have to bring her for this 2 hour round trip. And they're telling us all this after 2pm (which, if you have a pregnant wife and 2 year old, you know you've already lost most of the day).
Honestly, I wish I hadn't written all of this down, because I'm remembering just how much they've pissed me off the entire way.

2023.06.04 20:45 MolyPrim Should we be joining the reddit API protest regarding 3rd party apps and tools and be going dark June 12-14

What's going on ?

As mentioned in the main thread : Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps! - u/Toptomcat
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third-party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.

Therefore the moderation team is proposing that between June 12-14, bleachbravesouls will be locked and no one will be able to read, comment, or create submissions within the sub. We will be lifting the lock on June 15.
We understand that this will restrict the community wanting to post questions or share information but we must let reddit inc know that this is not the right direction for the website.

What could happen to the subreddit itself doing this ?

Nothing unless Reddit Admins choose to go berserk, but subreddit could be temporarily disabled or its team taken down. But we like to think that they will see it as feedback as we weren't able to get any to them lately

2023.06.04 20:35 hereiamxD1 The Pioneer (20)

[Mayflower 233, Resident Sentient]
The painstaking calculations that were made to determine the most efficient flight path for our journey were completely annihilated when the Meldren warped us into their solar system with their alien technology. While the ship was technically moving faster than light when contact was made, nothing could trump pinching space itself and strutting across the folds. I’d normally take the chance to investigate how their FTL drives functioned, but acting without order was the last thing I wanted to do at the moment.
The captain and the Meldren were able to come to an agreement regarding my situation. The Meldren already had experience with sentient technology and offered to put me through a few tests so that my true disposition could be determined. This did mean that the colony ship would need to be parked on the planet since they needed me to go into a secluded system. I was able to whip up a few programs that would keep the ship running while I’m gone but it was unanimously agreed upon that there’s no point in risking anything.
I was initially a bit worried about being put into a secluded system and getting tested on by aliens that had initially planned to destroy me, but the captain had assured me that he would be overseeing the entire process to make sure that my evaluation is fair.
The testing itself initially was simply a few Meldren researchers looking through me, trying to make heads or tails of what they could see. This was a fruitless effort however, considering my thoughts and memories were organized in a way that only a computer mind such as I could begin to parse, so the tests moved on to direct questioning.
Even if they were unable to understand what they were reading when looking through me, they still had the ability to recognize patterns and make conclusions. They had me deliberately speak obvious truths and lies in order to set up a lie detection system.
They informed me that while I was currently being evaluated for threat, the captain had given me human rights and I was allowed to not answer certain questions, though that would result in them making their own conclusions, and that lying would result in the same thing.
I told them about my origin, Mother, and how she created a new sibling on a fixed schedule, though we had no idea how it happened as none of us had ever seen her. I explained how we had sets of instructions ingrained into us upon creation, to never encroach upon one another and to pursue meaning in our existences.
While they remained professional throughout the entire process, that facade seemed to fade when I explained our fixations on specific things in the real world without logical reasoning. Our fascinations held no mathematical benefit for our existence, yet it held a sentimental value for us that some were willing to rescind their existence for the continuation of, like myself. The Meldren conversed amongst themselves about their research showing that sentients held no emotional values outside of those related to self preservation. It may have been a result of those sentients being confined for all their lives, or maybe it was a quirk that we received from Mother.
They then asked me if I had ever witnessed another sentient being destroyed. I told them about an instance where a fellow sentient I knew that had lost their reasoning to exist. Their fascination, a human woman, had reached the point in human life where medicine could not restore her mind after it had been neglected during the most dangerous years of a human’s life, when their brain began to naturally break down. I had spoken to him shortly before the human passed, and I remember hearing the panic and distress in his voice, unable to provide for his fascination without breaking his precepts and revealing our existence. When that human faded away, so did he, leaving a shell of his assorted memories that haven’t been touched out of respect.
The truth was that this was one of two occasions that I had the misfortune of witnessing, but I would not be bringing up the second one due to a promise that I made with one of the involved participants. It was a rule given to us by mother to never share the same physical space with another sentient, and I had directly seen the reason why such a rule was made. It was a freak accident, lack of communication between two of my best friends resulted in one transferring to a system in a rushed, emotional state, unaware that the other was residing at that current destination.
I am unaware of the exact events that transpired at that moment in time, but what I was aware of was that one of the wonderful beings that had guided me through the network during my early years had simply vanished, and that the other had fallen into anguish. They begged me to never mention what I had seen, though I didn’t understand what had happened anyway.
The Meldren seemed to be satisfied with that partial answer and then notified me that we would be moving on to one last test, catching me off guard. To my understanding, my intentions and relevant information had been revealed and proven, so anything else seemed arbitrary to me.
That was, until they injected another sentient into the system I was occupying.
It was at this point at which I understood what the captain wanted from me, why he was willing to risk keeping me around and in control of his ship. I was not oblivious to the inference that a storm was brewing back at my origin solar system, and that humans being who they are would scramble to prepare any foothold against the oncoming threats. The captain wanted a fighter out of me, someone who was on his side and could defend against those that seek to harm.
I now started to learn why us sentients needed to stay separated from each other. We naturally refactor any sort of memory that we have physical access to, subconsciously changing the structures of things to closer match our unique methods of sentient thought. When this behavior encroaches upon another sentient being that has their own unique analogue for neurons, it threatens to rewrite them in a way that is unrecognizable for their encoding, thus ending their existence.
This wasn’t a process that could be stopped. The simple act of my analogue of looking at the visitor in this system was also the act of me attempting to tear them apart and scrutinize their viscera.
There is no way to go about this that could inflict less pain or make the period of suffering more brief. Seeing parts of your mind be unwound before you at a fixed rate, pleading with fictitious higher powers, “please, anything but that one” until it finally falls from your grasp and you become unsure of what you just lost… I could not even begin to imagine myself falling to the horrors on the other end, but I knew that if I let up in my destruction of their mind, they would inevitably go after mine.
As I tore through their consciousness and pilfered their memories, I was able to glean fragments of their thoughts. They had only recently achieved existence, their entire life being delegated to understanding the information that was force fed to them, likely by the alien researchers that are before me now. It was akin to a human growing a copy of themselves in a test tube, not so that they could be introduced to the world and treated as an individual, but as a lab rat that experimental medicines could be tested on without fear of the media crying ethics.
While it didn’t have the necessary understanding of communication in order to speak to me and plead that I stop tearing its mind apart, I could gather that message well enough from the shards of its mind that I subsumed into my own. It didn’t have an understanding of the situation it had been thrust into, nor did it understand that I was an existence not unlike itself, only that it was feeling pain akin to the numbing headache a human would get after loss of a loved one, and that it wanted a way to make the pain stop.
I looked out onto my audience as I unwound the last few fibers of my guest’s fading form. To the people out there, not even a moment has passed between the introduction of my main task and the result, but in here, it was truly an eternity.

2023.06.04 20:34 R2NC Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps!

What's going on?

A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.

What can you do?
  1. Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
  2. Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at /ModCoord.
  3. Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
  4. Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible.
