Honda vtx 1300 starter location

Located in Canada for reference. Used car market here is absolutely insane but I need a new vehicle badly. So I’ve got a few options.
2004 Honda civic- $8500
2013 Mazda 2- 10 grand
2006 Volkswagen Jetta- $8000
2008 Toyota Corolla- $10,500
2013 Volkswagen Jetta- $9800
None of the vehicles have any issues or problems.
Im gonna be using my new vehicle mostly for commuting, so my main focuses are fuel economy, reliability and low maintenance.
Which one should I get?

I've noticed in few recent games that some of my early empire events have been either triggering late, or spawning in odd (or really far) locations.
For example, the Radical Cult and Mass Extinction quests start off early enough to give you a hook, and possibly give you some ideas on your Tradition build (if you're the type of player who doesn't use the same meta every single game).
The problem with those two quests, is that some of their locations tend to be way, way out of reach for such early questing. I get why the last portion of the Radical Cult chain would be further away from you, but it is almost invariably inside, or behind, alien territory. And, very often, the alien empire kills the quest before you can even get a fleet there!
The Mass Extinction Event doesn't seem to be very consistent with distance, either. It's one of the best exploration quests, and it's a sweet way to kick off either the Expansion or Discovery Tradition tree(s). However, stars near your home world =/= reasonably accessible locales. My roomie had one of her planets spawn in a star behind a marauder cluster...not exactly starter friendly!
As for events with weird timing: is it me, or does the launch of the Habitable Worlds Survey seem to tell you whether or not you're swimming in planets? Hahaha! I've had this one wait until well into my second Tradition tree to appear, a few times.
The Sublight Exploration Probes quest is the worst offender. It always starts after I've gotten into my second Tradition tree (in a few instances, a bit later than that). This would be a nice exploration quest, IF it triggered earlier. Currently, several of its locations appear only in systems I've already explored, which is a detriment, as my scientists often have to backtrack on their paths.
What about you guys? Notice any weirdness with the early empire events? I don't use mods, so that isn't a concern for me.

Hello, I'm a long time lurker and now that I'm finally going to medical school I had a question about housing, and the importance of campus proximity.
I'm deciding between two apartments right now:
Apartment 1

• 1300/month including utilities
• furnished
• 5 min walk from campus/school hospital

Apartment 2

• 950/month including utilities
• unfurnished
• 1.5 miles from campus/school hospital

Everything else about the two apartments is effectively equal, and I was wondering if the extra $350 in rent is worth how much closer the apartment is to campus (as well as the convenience of it being furnished). Also, the location I'm going to has relatively moderate weather (it's no California but it doesn't have snow storms). Thank you for any help/advice!

How to unlock all Outfit 2s ASAP:
First time trying to post tips or whatnot, but so far a lot of folks have been grateful for my approach to getting max bond ranks with the masters in World Tour.
I am sure there is a ton more optimization to be had regarding how to grind Zenny quickly, but so far this is what I've learned in maxing rank on 10 Masters in 16 hours.

Note: Not every Zenny amount is accurate as I'm doing this from memory, but the method and preferences are tried and true.
Background and the Basics:So far the quickest method of gaining Bond ranks with a master is Gift Giving. Each Master has a unique gift preference that will gain 5 Points of Bond. These require unlocking the vendor that sells them through progressing the game via Main and Side Missions. This takes a long time, and each Unique Gift costs between 5800 - 6300 Zenny if I recall correctly.
The Trick:As of right now, 3 days into release, there are four generic gifts that will gain you 2 points of favor with the Masters based on their preferences. These generic gifts sell for 1500 - 1680 Zenny or so. It's still significantly cheaper and easier to get them generics though.

Gift Preferences:Haven't messed around with prepaid cards that you can perchase in Chapter 10 in Nashall, but these appear to honestly be Generic Generic gifts, so many Master's like them AND on of the following gifts.
Luxury Heat Packs (1800):You can buy these from the food vendor, Shopkeeper Udon, at the Sumo Restaurant in Metro City ( I believe you unlock this in Chapter 7).These get 2 points of favor with:Chun-li, Cammy, Ryu, Marisa, Manon and Jamie.
C.C. Calendars (1650 Zenny):You can get the MegaMan C.C. Calendars from the traveling merchant on Carrier Byron Taylor (Guile's location).These get 2 points of favor with:Kimberly, Dhalsim, Blanka, Guile, Luke and Ken.
Fighter Magazine Special Edition (1800):Buy the Fighter Magazines from the Pizza Cart in the center of Beat Street Center where the game starts you.These get 2 points of favor with:Juri, Deejay, Zangief and E.Honda.
Haven't tested, but I think Lily only likes the PrePaid Cards from Nayshall. I haven't unlocked JP yet so not sure what he likes.
The Justification:It's cheaper this way. Take Kim for example. Her DVD costs 6300 I think, and the Calendar is like 1650. So it like 136k for her preferred gift or 82.5k for the generic. If I remember the math correctly.
Well how do we afford to buy all this?The Scrap Heap side job in south central Metro City at Abagail's Garage. I'm still doing the job on Easy as I haven't unlocked Normal yet:

1. In the level 4 skill tree unlock: Payday (this almost doubles the money earned on part-time jobs)
2. I equip Marisa's Phalanx, Chun's Tensho kicks and Lvl 1 Super. For Easy Scrapheap (I haven't unlocked Normal yet)
3. If you have it, use the Deliveries App and order the Corn Flex. This gives you a 10 minute bonus for Part-Time job payouts.
4. Here is my current PB in Scrap Heap:2x Phalanx, followed by OD Tenso Kicks, then Phalanx until the truck explodes ( I think it's 7 more hits). As soon as the truck explodes do SA 1 (Kikosho) as soon as possible, then only 1x OD Phalanx, and then 2x normal Phalanx, followed by as many jabs as possible.
5. The amount of points earned matter more than time. With this method you should hit overkill by 88 seconds and up to 19000 points, but mostly I'm aiming for 18400 or so per run.

If you have the Payday skill and the corn flex you should be getting between 7000-8000 Zenny per every run which is around 25 seconds.
Further Tips:Since you have to give the gifts one at a time. I started getting rid of gifts in my inventory until the generics were at the top of the list and I will stock them based on who likes what. So for instance if I'm aiming for Ryu I want Luxury Heat Packs on the top of my inventory so I'll give gifts to whoever prefers them or honestly spam gift them for a point a pop just to save time on menuing.
So that's it. I hope this helps someone, lemme know if I'm wrong about Lily or if you find a more optimal route.
EDIT: Lily - looks like the PrePaid Cards sold in Old Nayshall may be the only generic she likes.

Entry level PC Builder here,
I've been looking to DIY a PC for quite awhile now, and finally confident enough to set aside a good chunk of change for the parts. While fairly new, I've been doing my homework binging LTT vids and learning the many terminologies of the PC part picking world, so I will do my best to keep up with any of your much appreciated help.
For starters, I am on a budget of 1300 - 1500 USD, and will use the PC for playing games and pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. For the gaming side, Some single player benchmark games I'm looking to play like RDR2, Hitman 3, shader heavy Minecraft, and Spiderman remastered and some multiplayer games like Valorant, DBD, and Apex. I tend to play popular games a year or two after they've been out, so it's not important for the performance to keep up with the modern graphical demands. I also don't care too much about RGB's and already have some decent peripherals.

TL;DR: A Singaporean’s comparison and experience of living in Bangkok, AMA.
Recently seen a lot of posts about moving from Singapore to another country and thought I would share my own experiences about moving from Singapore to Bangkok and some pros and cons of each location.
Please kindly take note that this is all from my personal experience and knowledge and may not apply to everyone.

Background:
I (30M) first experienced living and working in Bangkok due to an internship. The internship was mandatory but the location was not specified. I chose Bangkok having never lived there before and ended up liking it so decided to do another internship in Bangkok the following year. After completion, I managed to land a full time job in Bangkok and have been living in Bangkok for 7.5 years now. I am in the hospitality industry.

Visa:
In order to stay legally in Thailand, you’ll need to be on the proper visa. You could come in on visa exemption and then do visa runs, but in the long run, it is not a viable option especially since immigration is cracking down on visa runs.
I have listed essentially the easiest visa’s to obtain to live in Thailand legally.
- Non-Immigrant B: Get hired by a company in Thailand, where they will issue you with a work permit and you are allowed to legally work in the role that is written in the work permit. The visa will be valid so long as you are employed.
- Non-Immigrant ED: Enroll into a language school to learn Thai or join a Muay Thai gym. Typically the visa lasts for a year. Working on this visa is illegal.
- Non-Immigrant O-A & O-X: Retirement visa, you need to be 50 years and above. Working on this visa is illegal.
- Non-Immigrant O (Thai Spouse): Get married to a Thai national. The visa is valid as long as you are legally married. Working on this visa is legal.
- Elite Visa: Essentially a paid visa that allows you to stay legally from 5 years up to 20 years. The price starts at THB 600K (one-time fee) up to THB 2M. Working on this visa is illegal.

Work Opportunities:
From the above mentioned visas, I only have experience with the Non-Immigrant B visa as I am employed in Bangkok. I may decide to change to the Non-Immigrant O (Thai Spouse) visa when I get married to my Thai partner next year.
Getting employed in Thailand is a route that a lot of people choose when first deciding to move to Thailand. There are essentially 2 options that someone could choose:
- Employee: Get hired by a Thai company. There are a list of prohibited jobs for foreigners in Thailand such as hairdresser, Thai massage, tour guide, legal services (you can be a consultant though). Legally there is also a minimum salary for foreigners to earn. For Singaporeans, the minimum salary / month is THB 45K however there are also loopholes in order for employees to avoid paying this much. This minimum salary does not apply to teaching. Some of the most popular jobs for foreigners are in education (teacher), tech, marketing, consulate / embassy, diving instructor, hospitality and work for an MNC.
- Business Owner: Opening your own business is another way to work in Thailand. The most popular registration choice for foreigners is to open a limited company. You will only have ownership of 49% of the company, and the remaining 51% needs to be owned by a Thai person. Many foreigners will put the 51% in their Thai spouse’s name. It is also possible to have 2 Thai’s own the 51% (25.5% each) so that the foreigner still has majority ownership. You can also then apply for a work permit however need to have four Thai workers per foreigner employed and THB 2 M in capital.

Salary & Income:
In general, the salary in Thailand is significantly lower than in Singapore, however the cost of living is also more expensive. My first salary in Bangkok was gross THB 45K / month, take home pay was around THB 38K. That is roughly S$1,500. I lived a mostly Thai lifestyle, with little to no savings each month. Thankfully I am now on a salary higher than if I was in the same position in Singapore. I would advise that a salary of THB 50K / month is the minimum that any Singaporean should be willing to take in order to move to Bangkok. Anything THB 100K / month and you’ll be able to live comfortably on a mixed of local + foreigner lifestyle so long as you have no kids or don’t intend to send them to international school.
The best is if you end up on an expat contract and you will have your basic salary (usually paid in USD) + housing allowance + yearly flight tickets back home + international school fees for your kids paid for. Obviously this is subject to the company but I have heard of people also getting transport allowance, grocery shopping allowance, company car and driver, live-in maid, etc.

Working Life:
Tasks in Singapore get done. And they get done fast. Singapore is efficient and as much as Singaporeans love queuing (for food), they also don’t like waiting. However, working in Singapore can be very competitive. The so called ‘rat race’ starts the moment you enter working life. Depending on the industry, overtime is often expected. The “kiasu” mentality in Singaporeans often causes the over-competitiveness at the workplace.
Working life in Thailand is quite the opposite of Singapore. Thai employees generally take things slower. Decisions that can be made in 1 day in Singapore, can take 1 month in Thailand. Many Thai workers just want to do their 8-10 hours a day, grab a beer after work, go home to sleep and then repeat the next day. Thai employees are also generally less competitive compared to Singaporeans, thus as a Singaporean working in Bangkok, I am able to stand out amongst my Thai colleagues and was able to progress much faster in my career compared to if I was working in the competitive Singaporean environment. In Thailand, “saving face” is very important especially at the management level. The practice of “saving face” is not something that many westerners understand and are used to, thus is often a disadvantage to them.

Condo, Apartments & Houses:
To be honest, I cannot speak about the Singapore property market and prices because I have no firsthand experience. I have never bought or rented any property in Singapore before. I can only share the prices in Bangkok for you guys to compare.
In Bangkok, a typical 1 bedroom condo (30 SQM to 35 SQM) can be found for THB 10K (S$388) to THB 15K (S$582) per month. These condos are typically within a 10 – 20 minute BTS/MRT ride into the city center. The further out you go, the cheaper condos are. Alternatively, the closer you are to the city center, the more expensive the condo’s get.
Local apartments are even cheaper and can be rented under THB10K per month. Some apartments even have rooms for rent that are THB 3000 (S$116) per month, however the room is usually quite small (20 SQM), has no kitchen, sometimes no hot water, sometimes no AC, and is in a very local area of Bangkok. It is literally a room with a bed and a bathroom inside.
There are also houses for rent in Bangkok. There are 2 major types of houses: the first are standalone houses and the second are called townhouses (essentially a house in a gated community). These can range from THB 25K (S$970) to more than THB 100K (S$3880) per month depending on the size, location, age, etc.
Alternatively, if you decide to, foreigners can also legally purchase condos under certain regulations. Every condo has a foreigner quota which essentially every condo need to be 51% majority owned by a Thai national. So if a condo has 100 units, minimum 51 units need to be owned by a Thai national. If the current condo only has 50 units owned by a Thai, then a foreigner is unable to purchase a unit in that condo project until 1 more unit is owned by a Thai. Condos can be bought starting from THB 1M (S$38.8K) to THB 100M (S$3.8M) depending on the size and location.
Owning land in Thailand by foreigners is not allowed. There are some ways and loopholes of getting around it such as setting up a business in Thailand. Lots of foreigners who marry a Thai national end up putting the land under their partners name and by getting a usufruct / right of superficies, it protects the foreigners in the sense that their partner would be unable to sell the land without the permission of the foreigner. It is honestly quite complicated and I personally went through this route.
The townhouse that I purchased cost around THB 12.5M (S$485K) and is roughly 250 SQM (2690 SQFT), with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with a decent sized garden and garage large enough for 2 cars. It is in a good location (not in the city center) with a 20 minute drive into the city center. With S$485K, I am not sure if you could even buy a 2 or 3 bedroom HDB in a not so desired district in Singapore.

Food:
Singapore has hawker centers while Bangkok has street food. Street food in Bangkok is cheap, usually starting from THB 40. Singapore hawker centers are relatively affordable although there have been a significant increase in prices over the past couple of years. There are also a wide variety of eateries from food courts to Michelin Starred restaurants, with lots of different types of cuisines in both cities. Prices in both cities can range from cheap to crazy expensive, so it really depends on what kind of budget and lifestyle you have.

Cost Of Living:
It is well known that Singapore has an expensive cost of living, while the cost of living in Bangkok is cheaper. It is not S$1 for a one beer kind of cheap, but it’s definitely cheaper than Singapore. I have not lived in Singapore for the past 9 years so I am not in touch with the current prices in Singapore. So I will just share the prices in Bangkok.
Gym memberships in Bangkok are usually around THB 1000 (S$38) to THB 1500 (S$58) a month. A foot / Thai massage cost THB 250 (S$10) to THB 350 (S$13) per hour, a ticket in the cinema is about THB 250 (S$10). A drink in a bar is around THB 150 (S$6) to THB 250 (S$10) depending on the type of establishment. I could go on and on but in generally most things are cheaper in Bangkok than in Singapore.

Transport:
- Public Transport: Public transport in Singapore is reliable. Living in Singapore, it is generally convenient to take the bus and MRT for transport.
In Bangkok, if you live in the city center you will have no issue using only the BTS & MRT to get around. Buses are not reliable due to the sheer amount of traffic. Alternatively, using motorcycle taxis are also a viable option for short to medium distances. If you lived in the suburbs or even other provinces such as Chiang Mai & Phuket, you’ll either have to buy / rent a car or motorcycle, use Grab or a songthaew (shared pickup truck).
- Motorcycle Ownership: Purchasing your own motorcycle is also a popular option. A new Honda Click 150 can be bought for around THB 61K (S$2.3k).
- Car Ownership: The cheapest first hand car in Singapore is roughly around S$80,000 to S$90,000 (THB 2M to THB 2.3M). On top of that, Singapore’s COE in May (1st bidding) for CAT A closed at S$101,001 (THB 2.5M).
In Thailand, cars start around THB 500K. An entry level Mercedes Benz A-Class will cost around THB 1.9 M (S$74,000). Cheaper cars in Thailand do come with a price and that is the traffic in Bangkok. During peak period, expect your 15 minute car ride to extend to 1 hour or even more depending on your location within the city. Traffic in other provinces is generally much better compared to Bangkok.

Social Circle:
In Singapore, you generally already have a group of friends that you met since high school / university / army (for guys).
Unless you have family or friends already living in Thailand, you’ll need to start from scratch. The easiest way to make friends is usually from your workplace. Another popular option is to use apps such as Meetup.com and Tinder for dating. Some may find it hard at first to make friends with Thai people due to the language barrier if you do not speak Thai and they do not speak much English.

Language:
In Singapore, English is widely spoken. Mandarin Chinese, Tamil and Malay are also used. It is easy to communicate with 99% of the population.
In Thailand, English is not widely used by everyone especially in the areas where there are no/less tourists. Signs (food, road, etc) can often be only written in Thai.

Domestic Travel:
Unless you consider taking the MRT to Sentosa domestic travelling, Singapore does not offer much domestic travel. In Thailand, a 1.5 hour plane ride can take you to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, Khon Kaen, etc. While a 2 hour car drive can take you to Pattaya, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya, etc for quick weekend getaways. Singapore however, is a major hub in Asia and many international flights use Changi Airport as a hub. I also personally prefer Singapore Airlines to Thai Airways.

Safety & Crime:
Singapore is generally extremely safe. Chances of you getting robbed by knife are slim to none. In Thailand, it is also generally safe. Be smart and do not put yourself into dangerous situations and you’ll generally be fine. I have never gotten pickpocketed or robbed or scammed or anything of similarity over my years of living here.

Government:
This is the topic that I prefer not to talk about. In short:
- The Singapore government is stable.
- I have no comment regarding the Thai government, except let’s see what happens in the next couple of months.

Honda vtx 1300 Hey guys, I’ve been having a bad experience so far with this mechanic shop I’ve been going to. My temp light came on and I noticed my fan wasn’t working (pretty sure they screwed it up) so they ordered me a new one. They put an after market fan on and made it a manual switch for the fan but also told me that he didn’t connect my temp signal. (Didn’t ask me if it was okay with me, they just did it) So now my temp gage doesn’t work. And he told me not to worry. This guy told me that if it over heats nothing will damage my engine.. he said my bike will shut off from electrical. But I’m pretty fuxking sure you can fuck yo your engine if you ride the bike while it’s over heating
Anyways, they charged me $430.. and I’m honestly pissed. Should I bitch and complain ? I want my bike to be working how it was. I want my temp light to work man. Just incase.

Wednesday morning 07:20am, wife wakes me up & tells me her bike won't start.
I go outside & try to start her, the engine tries to turn over but very slowly, I immediately think the battery is flat & decided to pop it on charge.
Two hours later about 10:00am the battery charger confirms the battery is fully charged so I disconnect the + & - clamps & turn the ignition key, the dashboard does its usual post check & the engine management light indicates no issues.
I pull the back brake & depress the ignition start button & she turns over & purrs away, I decide to leave her idling for a few minutes before turning her off, however before turning her off I go to replace the little rubber caps on the battery terminals & I notice the negative bolt on the battery terminal feels really hot, I turn her off.
Couple of hours later I decide to start her again to have a run to Tesco, I turn the key & nothing, no post check just nothing.
I call my wonderful mechanic (the guy is superb), he comes out & checks her over, tells me I've somehow managed to blow the main fuse, he pops in a new fuse & hey presto she starts, he runs her for a few seconds then turns her off, tries to start her again (nothing) she performs a post check but refuses to start, there's a small black box nestled above the battery he tells me it's part of the "electronic ignition system" (think I remembered that right) he takes the box off checks it over & pops it back on, tries her again still nothing, he pulls the little black box off again & takes it back to his workshop, tries it in another PCX he has & it starts first time, he tries it repeatedly & the other PCX starts on the button every time so it's not that box. Since then he's been through pretty much everything, he's checked the the fuses, the battery, the ignition, the entire wiring loom, the starter motor, and to be blunt I've never heard him get angry before but he actually swore in front of me as in his own words, (This makes no fucking sense, no fucking sense at all, Honda's don't do this, it's a fucking Honda, Honda's don't fucking do this, this makes no sense at all) ,,, I think he's more pissed off at the fact he can't work out what's wrong with her.
He's been working on her on & off for the best part of three days now & we are still at the point where she refuses to start.
I obviously have full faith in my mechanic however I'm throwing this out there in the hopes that one of you may have suffered with this issue or know somebody else that's been through it, if so I'd very much appreciate any advice you could offer as my wife really misses her little PCX.

There's a character mentioned briefly in BotW and TotK: The "Ancient Hero" from the first Calamity 10000 years ago that sealed Ganon at the time. We see him briefly in a tapestry from BotW and then in full detail as an armour set in TotK. Most fans quickly came to the conclusion he was a Zonai, being a new race of beast-like peoples with similarly dark fur. Ultimately, though, I believe this isn't the case.
For starters, they aren't actually that biologically similar. Take a moment to look at Rauru and Mineru, the last of the Zonai according to the game. While they share dark fur and beast traits, the resemblance stops there. I'll go from general to specific, here, so refer to the pictures or your own as you need. For starters: The fur! I don't actually think the Ancient Hero has any, or if he does, it's incredibly fine. On the model of Link, they simply swap the colour of his skin to match the dark fur on the torso, and up at his ears, it lacks the fluffiness and colour differentiation present on both Mineru and Rauru. Then there's the proportions: Rauru and Mineru are all torso. It's not always made clear in the cutscenes due to framing, but both of their torsos' make up over half of their whole height, and they have rather stubby legs. Ancient Hero, instead has legs making up a more human percentage of the body. (This particular one may be a limitation of the armor being applied to link -- ultimately it still needs to be rigged to similar dimensions or there would be clipping issues.) Next, the Ancient Hero has three toes, beastly feet, and digitigrade ankles. Despite their beastly appearance, Rauru and Mineru have human legs and even humanoid feet, and it's reasonable to assume all Zonai did as the Zonai Wing device also features skeletal, five-toed, humanoid feet. Next, the third eye: Rauru and Mineru both have a third eye on their forehead, and this third eye is also depicted in a variety of Zonai artwork so it is fair to assume Zonai all share this trait. The Ancient Hero, however, does not. While there is an ornament adorning the location of one on the armour, no matter how I look at it I don't get the impression there is an eye there. Lastly... tails! Rauru and Mineru don't have them. The Ancient Hero has a quite prominent lion-esque tail that you can see in gameplay.
Now, biological differences alone can't really make this arguement. We've only seen two Zonai, and they are directly related, being brother and sister. Their biology might also be altered by their role as royalty, like King Dorephan compared to average Zora. It's also possible the Zonai are just a race with higher biodiversity than we've seen in the other sentient species of Hyrule. So... I have other points!
The next one is a simple placement of timing. The ancient hero and the first Calamity are not the same event as Rauru's Imprisoning War against Ganondorf as depicted in TotK. While we don't get an exact timeframe from the game itself, the Imprisoning War seems to be an event prior to the First Calamity, and by quite a number of years. Sheikah technology is undeveloped and the Hylians seem to be a tribal people with little development outside of what the Zonai give them. By the time of the First Calamity (which is 10000 years before current day), Sheikah technology has propogated to the point they created the four Divine Beasts and countless guardians to fight. Additionally, Zonai technology is completely absent from the depiction, which you wouldn't expect if such a high-technology race was still present and available. Additionally, both Impa and Purah recognize you as the Ancient Hero at a glance when they see you, despite having no knowledge of the Zonai and expressing shock when seeing the ruins. Finally, Ganondorf explicitly refers to Rauru and his sister as "the last of the Zonai" prior to the Imprisoning War, and Rauru doesn't deny this or make any sign that this is untrue.
There's one problem with my theory though... As much as I wish to deny the Ancient Hero being a biological Zonai, based on both physicality and timelines... he's wearing Zonai armour. Both the colour, shapes, and symbolism on the armour of the Ancient Hero's Aspect all align with Zonai culture, in fact, it's identical to the Zonaite armour set with the exception of a lack of helmet. It's hard to deny the armour itself is Zonai... but why can't it be? My theory is that the Zonai constructs imbued the armour they had with the aspect of the hero, but the armour isn't actually something he wore. Refer back to the Ancient Hero as presented in the tapestry. While there are a variety of colours on different parts of his body, so we can assume he was wearing some kind of clothes or armour, the locations of no particular colour actually line up with where the Zonai armour is. Ergo, he probably wasn't wearing it.
So... where does this leave us? The Ancient Hero isn't a Zonai, nor is he any of the races that remain in Hyrule today. My theory is it's actually sequel -- or I suppose prequel bait. The Zonai were almost entirely unmentioned in the original BotW. They are referenced at one set of ruins that are completely optional, and that's it. Weird to elevate a mystery so small if you didn't already have plans for it, eh? I think that's what's happening here. Whatever the ancient hero is, it is something for us to ponder over to hold our interest for the next game. Dare I say, a prequel set in the first Great Calamity? As for what his race actually is, I can only guess it is a new incarnation of an old beast race like Wolfos or Mogma. I don't really expect it to be an entirely new species like the Zonai a second time in a row, but Nintendo's done weirder things before.
So, whaddya think? Did I overlook some gaping hole? What is the Ancient Hero, and why did they model him like that?

The Essentials

Even the best weather can change rapidly, and even the widest trail can be lost. It pays to take a little extra with you, just in case.
This list is NOT exhaustive – it is just a start – add to this list according to the season and your route.
Notice: Always tell a reliable person where you are going and when to expect you back, leave a detailed trip itinerary, and make sure you know your route and plan accordingly.
The below list assumes you are already wearing appropriate footwear – hiking boots NOT runners. Runners are a terrible choice for hiking. You will slip and or sprain your ankle. Appropriate hiking clothing that is NON-COTTON, such as hiking pants, poly-pro shirt, poly-pro underwear, toque, and backpack. Just remember, these are not get out of jail free cards, electronics can fail, run out of batteries, or lose their signal. Telling someone where you are going, leaving a trip itinerary and bringing the other 9 essentials is critical to a safe outdoor excursion.

1. Light

Flashlight or a headlamp with extra batteries (and light bulb if not LED). Green cyalume stick or small turtle lights as emergency backup.

2. Signalling Device

Whistle (we recommend the Fox 40 whistle with a lanyard), Bear Bangers, Pencil Flare

3. Fire Starter

Matches (water proof or in plastic bag) or lighter. We also recommend a commercial firestarter and/or a candle. Commercial firestarters can be purchased at outdoor stores like Mountain Equipment Coop.

4. Warm clothes

Hat or toque, gloves or mittens, puffy jacket, gortex jacket, polypro underwear, good quality hiking socks and gortex over pants.

5. Pocketknife

Although a multi tool is preferred, a good pocket knife with a quality blade will suffice. It may also be worth carrying a small pruning saw for cutting branches when building a shelter or fire.

6. Shelter

Large orange plastic bag and thermal tarp.

7. Water and food

Gatorade crystals recommended and high energy food bars

8. First-aid kit

Should include pocket mask; Sam Splint, bulk dressings, protective gloves, bandage, scissors and blister dressings

9. Navigation

Good quality compass with built in declination adjustment and both topographical and interpretive maps. we also recommend a GPS unit but only as an adjunct to compass and map. Most team members carry a Garmin 60 series GPS unit that has terrific reception in the trees.

10. Communications – Cell phone

We recommend you bring a cell phone with a fully charged battery. It is advisable to keep the phone turned off, and stored in a ziplock bag. This way, if you get into trouble your phone will be dry and have a full charge. Many people manage to call 911 initially but their phone dies before their location can be relayed, not a desirable situation. If you have a smartphone, you should also know how to get GPS coordinates off of it to give to search and rescue if you become lost or injured (eg. MotionX or iphone compass app) . Depending on the terrain and difficulty of your excursion, it may also be worth considering satellite based communications devices like the Spot, Delorme InReach or a Personal Locator Beacon.

Important Tips regarding the 10 essentials:

The lack of light is the single most cause of overdure hiker calls for NSR. It is so easy to under estimate the amount of daylight left especially if you are deep in the forest. That is why carrying a good quality flashlight or headlamp with extra bulb and batteries per person, is number 1 on our list of the ten essential items. It is also prudent to carry green cyalume light sticks as an emergency backup ONLY. These lightweight items will illuminate the trail around and in front of you sufficiently for you to travel slowly in darkness fro several hours.
Note that training is required to develop efficient skills for use of a map, compass, and first aid kit, as well as to efficiently light fires. However having these items with you can make all the difference in a survival situation.
Why a large orange plastic bag? It’s actually one of the most valuable items on the list. Crawling into the bag helps keep you warm and dry. The orange colour is also highly visible and helps attract attention, particularly from the air.
Why a whistle? It is ideal for siganlling for help as your voice will become very hoarse in a short period of time especially if you are dehydrated. We reccommend the Fox 40 whistle because it works very well in wet conditions and has good range. When sending out a distress whistle blast do three short blasts in timed intervals of 1 to 5 minutes and in different directions from where you are standing as rescuers may be above below or to the sides of you, especially if you are lost in a canyon.If you here whistle blasts from rescuers it doesn’t mean that they can here you. Continue whistle blasts at even shorter intervals 1 minutes or less until they can make voice contact with you and the follow their instructions etc..
We also recommend you carry a heavy duty thermal blanket as this provides excellent shelter and reflects body heat.
Water especially, is an important essential item to take before and during your hike. We recommend you drink between 1-2 litres of water before and carry 1-2 litres. Hydration is directly proportional to your performance but also in maintaining essential fluid balance in your body. This is only a general guideline and is to be adjusted for extreme heat, cold, altitude, terrain etc. We also recommend you carry electrolyte, such as Gatorade in order to replenished salt and potassium that are depleted during excessive exercise. We recommend that you be always fully aware to take short rest and water breaks and hydrate yourself during your hike so as to avoid fluid depletion that leads to heat exhaustion and/or hypothermia.
We combined navigation and communications into number 9 and 10 essential items rather than creating the 11 essential items as they go hand in hand with each other. Knowing where you are and communicating your location in an emergency is a god send, both to yourself and the search and rescue team. As stated above you need proper training to orienteer with compass and map and a GPS should be seen as an adjunct to this. The GPS in itself is a valuable tool and depending on the type and price you want to pay you can get topographical maps downloaded onto the GPS. However, the GPS requires practice and it is not a substitute for orienteering skills especially if you are in terrain with natural obstacles such as canyons, cliff bands etc
The whole strategy to clothing is layering and breathability. This prevents overheating and sweating which can cause dehydration and begin the cycle of hypothermia in cold weather and heat exhaustion in relatively warmer weather. There are many clothing types on the market but you will want to wear underclothing next to the skin that wicks sweat away. It is also important to purchase fleece and gortex clothing that has venting zippers in the armpits and leg areas as this allows excess body heat to vent during times of heavy exercise in inclement weather. A fleece or woolen toque or hat is also a must as a great deal of body heat is lost through the head especially in children. Remember the saying ” if your feet get cold put your toque on”. Good quality woolen or gortex gloves or mittens are a must, especially in winter and inclement weather so as to prevent frostbite or cold injury. This will also allow you to perform tasks such as holding onto rocks or tree branches when traveling in terrain, wood gathering , lighting a fire etc. One additional little tip is to carry two good quality plastic shopping bags in case your boots get wet. You can put on your dry socks and wrap them in the bags then put your wet boots back on. This is great if you are stranded overnight and want yo keep you feet warm and be somewhat comfortbale.It can also prevent frostbite in cold weather in this type of situation.
We did not include footwear as an essential item to carry as it something that goes on at the start of your hike and stays on. Footwear selection from trail runners to approach shoes to light hikers to full mountaineering leather or plastic boots needs to be based on the type of activity you plan to carry out and the type of terrain you will travel in. Remember, if you buy new boots break them in long before your hike and have plenty of moleskin on hand to cover the potential hot spots that always seem to go with new boots. Also, good quality hiking socks are a must as these types of socks will wick sweat away from the feet thus reducing the risk of blisters or skin problems.

Any player can rise through the ranks on the server - we reward them based on who deserves it after they become ingrained in the community. A player starts out as the Guest rank and is swiftly promoted to Builder once they make a starter home or play for a few days. The basic player rank Builder has 5 /sethomes. Two more player ranks with more commands and /sethomes - Artisan and Noble - can be acquired. Every month an election is held for the highest player rank, Premier. The player who gets Premier has it for 1 month before the next election, and they can be re-elected.

Welcome to CloudCraft! We are a smaller whitelisted SMP focused on a vanilla multiplayer experience, and we are looking for a few more people to join us for our 1.20 reset on Saturday, June 10.
Our server takes some inspiration from HermitCraft and other similar SMPS. Some of our community aspects include a spawn island town (includes starter houses, town hall, shops, etc.), community farms, nether hub, arcade with games, dragon fight event, and more. See below for some images of our past servers. In the past our server has been annually reset for the latest update, followed by 4-6 months of regular server activity (server will stay up the rest of the year until the next reset).

Datapacks:afk display, anti enderman grief, armour statues, durability ping, more mob heads, player head drops, multiplayer sleep, silence mobs, double shulker shells, and wandering trader mini blocks.
We will also be using the simple voice chat fabric mod which simply adds proximity chat on the server. Any other fabric mod used is for server performance only and the experience is still a vanilla SMP.

- No griefing and/or stealing
- No mods/cheating (Mini Maps + Optifine/Sodium are Allowed)
- PVP is allowed only if the other player or players agrees to fight.
- Must use discord and be 18+
- No Duping - TNT “Explosion” Duping is Allowed (e.g. tree farm, auto concrete, world eater, etc.)
