2023.06.04 16:59 K-othic Affordable planar magnetic era: LETSHUOER S12 PRO Review
| Introduction https://preview.redd.it/bntusc7rsz3b1.jpg?width=8160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae46d32545687541fd9f2c5e8ae15155f689a8a9 The current market for "budget" IEMs (under $200 USD) is saturated with single dynamic driver earphones, where some models don't present significant differences from others. However, the implementation of affordable IEMs with planar magnetic drivers has been on the rise lately. Today, I will analyze the LETSHUOER S12 PRO, a pair of planar magnetic earphones with a modular cable and exceptional construction, available for $135 USD. Video Review here More Reviews here Reviews in spanish here Ranking (* = star): * * * * & 1/2 Pros | Cons | Premium build and accessories at a decent price | Bass leaves a bit to be desired (subjective) | Top notch imaging (virtue of the planar magnetic driver) | Not a master of detail | Signature between neutral and fun | Heavier than average cable with uncomfortable earguides (affects comfort) | Versatile | | Easy to amplify for a planar magnetic driver | | Disclaimers - The product was provided by LETSHUOER for an unbiased review - You can find the S12 PRO here!
- Review based in 2-4hs listening sessions each day across 6 days
- All music is lossless (Qobuz > 16bit - 44.1kHz)
- Gear Used: IFI Zen Air Can (AMP) + Fiio E10K (DAC) / TempoTec Sonata HD PRO (dongle)
Unboxing, Build & Comfort The box is of considerable size and weight, but once opened, it is understood why its dimensions are that large. Inside, the first thing we find is a catalog of their products. Just below that, we can see the bright blue IEMs, along with 3 pairs of foam tips. Finally, at the bottom, there is a faux leather case that contains a modular* cable of very high quality for the price, 3 pairs of wide-bore silicone tips, 3 pairs of narrow-bore tips, and some paperwork such as the manual and product certification. \modular: allows for interchangeable terminations between 2.5/3.5/4.4mm.* https://preview.redd.it/qzfqm8stsz3b1.jpg?width=7183&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d244183e633d485bf21de606a6688f93707a609 https://preview.redd.it/gde5mcnxsz3b1.jpg?width=6120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b9f26ea53f71802340646dc24367089abb2f51be If I were to see these earphones for the first time without knowing the price, I would easily say they could be worth more than $200 USD. The housing is designed with an aluminum alloy which feels very solid to the touch and has well-hidden vents that relieve pressure build up in the ear canal. The driver used in the S12 PRO is a 14.8mm single sided planar magnetic driver. https://preview.redd.it/n99w2wlysz3b1.jpg?width=8160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=740ad5cea213acdd7aa8c787740e1bfeb774d7e3 https://preview.redd.it/wjmcrt5zsz3b1.jpg?width=8160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f8a1159d556ed046b55d8ee0f3b8cadd6a115444 Summary of how the driver works: This type of driver works through a thin metal diaphragm with an array of embedded "wires." On each side of the diaphragm are magnets with opposite polarities. When connected, the current passing through the wires generates a magnetic field that interacts with the permanent magnetic fields of both magnets, creating undulating movement in the diaphragm thus producing sound. The included modular cable is of very good quality. It is built with silver-plated monocrystalline copper and has 4 cores, each consisting of 98 strands. Its connector type is 0.78mm 2-pin with interchangeable terminations for 2.5, 3.5, and 4.4mm. One criticism I have in this regard is that the cable is heavier than average (by quite a bit, in my opinion), and it can be uncomfortable during long sessions. Also, the plastic cable earguides that go over the ears are uncomfortable, and I would have preferred if they were not included. https://preview.redd.it/qfdscug7tz3b1.jpg?width=6120&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4ff4db9244f1a1f45aea8672e816321689e2c1b3 The number of silicone and foam tips is a very positive aspect (9 pairs in total!). I mostly used my favorite ones, which are the wide-bore tips, but the foam tips feel of good quality for those who need isolation. https://preview.redd.it/eaqxkkb8tz3b1.jpg?width=6302&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb13c4ce9f2cf0227aad153d78f164f3dfd92321 The comfort of the S12 PRO was just okay for me: as I mentioned before, the plastic guides are not of my preference and the heavy cable doesn't help that much either. However, when they are properly positioned in the outer ear, they seal decently (it's not the best seal, but it provides enough isolation), and I had to readjust them only a few times. It's worth noting that they protrude a bit, so I wouldn't recommend using them while lying down. One small aspect I'm going to add in this case is the driving power needed for the S12 PRO. It's known that planar magnetic drivers can be difficult to amplify, but that's not the case with this LETSHUOER set. When I used them with my smartphone (directly into 3.5mm input), I only needed to increase the volume up to 50% to reach a comfortable level when listening to music. Frequency response description Credits: https://aftersound.squig.link/ - Slight V-shaped signature
- Subbass and bass above neutral
- Mid frequencies with a more subdued character but without losing prominence
- Treble somewhat lively but peaky and with good extension
Subjective sound description https://preview.redd.it/psupa3ehtz3b1.jpg?width=8160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1a0fc947d37f3f5de7be8865c2fcd8a8bf337b4 Bass Despite what the measurements indicate, I found the a sub-bass and bass near neutral. The bass have good definition but lack impact for basshead users. In songs like "Paris" by MOON (Hotline Miami soundtrack), the sub-bass has a strong presence, and you can feel it “deep within you” throughout the entire song as it takes the spotlight. The same happens in "Xanny" by Billie Eilish, where during the chorus, those sub-bass frequencies can be felt “down to the bones”. On the other hand, in "Back Around" by Tiesto, I experienced what I mentioned earlier: the impact of the bass during the drop leaves me wanting 1-2dB more for EDM songs. However, this reference tuning is particularly good for other genres as we'll see next. Mids As someone who listens to various Heavy Metal/Rock artists and different orchestras, I consider myself familiar with the sound of string instruments. In the case of "Meet Your Maker" by In Flames, the electric guitars have a good sense of texture in each note and avoid being piercing to the ear. Switching genres, in "Yellow" from Coldplay's concert in Buenos Aires 2017, from minute 2 to 2:56, the electric guitar accompanies the song very gently, only to reappear seconds later. In this chaotic harmony, where instruments and the lead singer's voice come together, you can clearly distinguish each individual sound. Chris Martin's voice has a natural timbre to my ears, and both female and male voices have good weight in the region. Lastly, in "Nessun dorma!" performed by Pavarotti, the Italian's voice is out of this world. There is particularly good articulation between him and the orchestra (choristers, violins, horns, trumpets, piano, etc.). Treble Again, the graph shows quite pronounced peaks in the 2.5 kHz and 8 kHz regions, yet the previous song by In Flames with continuous cymbal splashes did not come across as piercing at all. Furthermore, in classical music such as Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Mozart's "Divertimento in F Major, K. 138" performed by the Quatuor Van Kuijk, I noticed that these IEMs are not super analytical or bright. In fact, for those seeking to gather every tiny detail in their music, they may find themselves wanting a bit more from the S12 PRO. Soundstage & Imaging In the previously described Coldplay song "Yellow," I could perceive a sense of distance between the audience and the band. However, to my ears, the soundstage is wider than it is tall and deep. There is good distinction of distance between the sides, but not as much towards the front and back. But here's where it gets exciting: the imaging capability is spectacular. In Avicii's "Waiting for Love," the single-sided planar magnetic driver manages to separate the different layers of the song's introduction. If I were to describe them from "top to bottom" what I hear is: first, Avicii's vocals above everything else, in the middle the rhythmic sound of the piano keys, and then below or in the background, the drums with their kicks and cymbals accompanying the song. Both instruments and vocals disappear during the build-up to the drop and are replaced by synthetic sounds. When the drop hits, these instruments reappear in the same "layers". The drums only play their cymbals while the song’s bass is carried by a synthesizer that is introduced at this moment. This description showcases the capabilities of this type of driver, providing a precise image that allows the listener to clearly differentiate which instruments are being reproduced and effortlessly separate them from one another. Conclusion https://preview.redd.it/mhylyocitz3b1.jpg?width=8160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a0ef9b14755e3a1b2078208a047b16ba747954c5 Unfortunately, I cannot speak about the improvements LETSHUOER made to this IEM compared to the first S12 as I did not have the opportunity to try that model. However, based on my experience and comparing the presentations of the S12 and S12 PRO, it is evident that it was not a simple change of tuning. Adding a modular cable of even better quality than its predecessor (128 strands vs. 392 strands) and maintaining the same solid construction makes those extra $15 USD worth it. In terms of sound and some cable aspects, I had my few criticisms but there are more positive characteristics that I can highlight about these IEMs, and I must say they are a great way to enter the world of planar magnetic IEMs. submitted by K-othic to headphones [link] [comments] |
2023.06.04 14:33 jj4giya How important is TGP? (RTX4080 125W vs 175W)
Hi, really appreciate you for taking the time to read this!
So the two laptops I'm considering currently are the Zephyrus G14 2023 and Strix G16 2023. They are available to me at the same price (~2.5kUSD) I am slightly leaning towards the G14 because of the portability, but then I'm not sure if it is a waste to buy a 125W 4080.
Strix G16 vs Zephyrus G14
-240Hz vs 165Hz display Most people say the difference is not really noticeable. Although I'm using a 15.6" laptop currently, I don't think I would mind the 14" screen.
-2.5kg vs 1.7kg This is the weight without the charging brick. I have to travel a lot so I think my back would be grateful if show it some mercy.
-upto 2TB vs upto 1TB I have a 4TB HDD so I guess this is not a problem either.
-175W TGP vs 125W TGP This here is my main issue since I don't really know how big of a difference will it make.
Once again thank you very much! I welcome all your advice!!

2023.06.04 11:18 MacroDragon1 What drove USD/PLN fall from 5.0 to 4.2?
Season 2 of "Winter is coming to Europe" approaches😱
What caused the major rally in 🇵🇱Polish Zloty (PLN) vs the 🇺🇸USD since last September?
According to the model we used, the main factors were:
🔹️Eurozone confidence 🔹️corporate credit 🔹️risk aversion 🔹️China / EM stress 🔹️USD liquidity
Underpinning the first three factors were energy markets and gas in particular.
After the 10x increase, subsequent fall in natural gas (and electricity prices⚡️) alleviated lots of stresses in Europe.
USD/PLN fell from 5.0 to 4.2 now.
Is this an opportunity to buy USD/PLN?

2023.06.04 07:10 MooseDapper1423 Wanted to share my first win in awhile on USDJPY rule 8: allowed
| We Just wanted to share this for anyone who was just about to give the freak up. For anyone who is up late 3am studying ICT, the fundamentals and really trying to learn and build a good psychology mindset. Im following rule 8 and will give much insight as I can on how I did this. So on the 2nd which was a few days ago I was stalking the DOLLAR and performance. NFP is the first Friday of every month and that is what took the USD over a 100 pips for my trades. Anyways we had a awesome NFP which incense 399k vs the 190k. Rate climbed to 3.7% from 3.4. I try to attach a photo of my chart. As you can see I Brought 7 1.00 standard lots BUY orders @138.861 and I started the upside supply. This was not a swing trade and was closed as a scalp meaning enter and exit the same trading day. I hope I followed rule 8 because I know it’s so many “pros” and professional rich traders here but this is for the small retail traders like me. Who is just now profiting enough to get to a four figure account balance. I type this almost tears in eyes because it’s so much time and dedication towards trying to learn so much. 2023.06.04 03:50 WondrousIdeals RG Possibility Storm Adventures [Pioneer]
The pedigree
When pioneer was quite new, possibility storm combo was a very popular deck. It has since fallen by the wayside considerably, first following THB and the combo decks from then, and then from the evolution of pioneer into a format where very few fully dedicated combo decks can succeed.
The combo works as follows: You get a
Possibility Storm onto the battlefield. Then, you cast an adventure sorcery, like
Heart's Desire, and Possibility Storm will whisk the card away, remembering that you cast a sorcery. You only have one sorcery in the deck,
Enter the Infinite, which will allow you to draw your whole deck, putting
Borborygmos Enraged back into the library. You then cast
Stonecoil Serpent from hand (for x=0, usually) to Possibility Storm into Borborgymos, discarding enough lands to kill the opponent.
The combo isn't totally dead in 2023!
Daniel Kidd did quite well with the archetype recently. Despite some success, this deck tries to reimagine the archetype.
The defect in the pedigree
Why reimagine something that works, even in a niche? Well, I believe that there's a simple reason it's not a common deck. There are much better unfair-to-combo decks in the format that have a better backup plan. Greasefang can just cast Chariot, Thoughtseize and 3/2s for 2. Izzet Creativity decks can play control (and indeed often do). Virtually all combo decks in all formats succeed not because of how good they are at comboing, but also by having a very decent back up plan. If they're too good at comboing, they get banned.
Possibility Storm combo cannot compete with these decks as a combo deck, and so needs to be deckbuilt on the fair axis, which my decklist aims to do.
Why you want to play the deck
The deck plays uncommon synergy pieces that many decks struggle to interact with, features a lot of decisions owing to cheap mana costs, whether to adventure or not, and when and how to hold up mana, and plays a combo which self-protects itself, kills on the spot, and avoids many hate pieces. You may enjoy this deck if you are a fan of combo decks, synergy driven midrange decks, or decks that can play very differently matchup to matchup, game to game. The core concept and cards
The Possibility Storm deck already plays some excellent fair cards. Lovestruck Beast and
Bonecrusher Giant are very powerful cards. This decklist aims to maximize our synergy around these cards, and treat Possibility Storm as an incidental and situational threat that our opponent must pay heed to while also having to deal with our fair gameplan.
To that end, we include
Edgewall Innkeeper and
Lucky Clover (banned in Standard!!). These two cards help generate absurd value with the good adventure creatures, and make mediocre ones much better.
We now need to be playing more adventure spells. The trick is to play ones that play well with one (or both) of our adventure payoffs, while also comboing with (and interacting favourably with) Possibility Storm.
Beanstalk Giant is a perfect fit, as it plays well with Lucky Clover, (ramping two untapped lands that you can immediately use is a very strong turn three play), helps us ramp into Possibility Storm, and, while three mana, Fertile Footsteps is a sorcery and lets us combo.
Rosethorn Acolyte does similar things, as it rituals with Lucky Clover and so can increase our velocity meaningfully, and casting it, while underwhelming, is still letting us ramp into Possibility Storm. Nice that it's cheap and so triggers innkeeper nicely. It also is a 1 mana combo card. It has impressed me, and I wouldn't be too surprised if I played three in the future.
Support
We play six
Elves, as we are a mana hungry deck that values acceleration highly. Eight felt like too many. Might be supposed to be seven.
Volcanic Spite and
Valakut Awakening let us look through our deck for combo pieces while putting Enter the Infinite on the bottom while providing the utility of decent removal and being a land.
Notable disinclusions
Shared Summons is unacceptable when we have spite and awakening as perfect fits.
Learn cards are okay, but aren't that much more powerful than adventure options while decreasing synergy.
Fable is a super powerful card if you view the deck as more reliant on getting Possibility Storm. I wish there was even one ETB trigger for me to justify it. I guess it makes the deck cheaper!
Sideboard
The only notable card here is
Embereth Shieldbreaker, which is artifact hate, mostly for opposing hate cards and Karn decks, and a cheap adventure spell when Edgewall innkeeper and being aggressive are good, versus, say, control decks. I haven't sided it in much (many people don't seem to run hate for the deck, or don't realize that their hate is good) but I think it is a very flexible and interesting card. Three may be too many.
Otherwise, the sideboard borrows from the ideas of RG vehicles, mostly.
Matchups
These ideas of how matchups go is extremely not data-driven:
Rakdos Midrange: I like that Possibility Storm (and Lucky Clover) are hard to interact with except via Thoughtseize. Theoretically our adventure cards, can present a real competing value plan. I really dislike that our deck doesn't topdeck well. I've lost more than I've won versus Rakdos, but I feel that the matchup can be quite swingy. Some type of Planeswalker in the sideboard, like Torch of Defiance could be good as many Rakdos decks have cut Dreadbore. Probably unfavoured, could be tuned to be closer to 50-50 or even favourable as it's not a major structural disadvantage.
Mono-green devotion: This matchup has mostly felt Solitaire-like. We have the upside of being able to kill elves, when they cannot kill ours. I have snuck out a lot of wins last second versus them, and it's nice that we can present some real size to block their creatures. I think we're favoured, but we need to operate more combo-like than fair, which isn't always guaranteed. Mulliganing for speed is actually good versus devotion, but not required.
UW Control: I've dodged this matchup so far. I like that they don't have great sideboard cards versus us, and if we resolve possibility storm it can be hard for them to mess with it (as it protects itself). Playing versus other controlling decks (5c, dimir) it has felt like we can control the tempo meaningfully.
Lotus Field: I think we're faster at comboing when our elves live, and I like our sideboard versus them. Unfortunate that they play 2x or 3x Boseiju, but it's hard for them to have that mana when we are pressuring them early. Maybe my opponents sucked, but I felt comfortably favoured.
Mono-white Humans: 5/5s for 3, stomps, and 4x Rending Volley are very good. Their only realistic interaction with the combo is Thalia (and sometimes Hopeful Initiate). I lost to them in the top 8 of a Pioneer RCQ today (top 4 got RC invites, unfortunately) but it took them being on the play g1 and having some really good draws both games. We can also just wall up; I've had games where I just cast a bunch of beanstalk giants and they, especially after mostly cutting Brave the Elements can't push through damage too well.
Greasefang: 4x Rending Volley, 2x Unlicensed Hearse should stop them from killing us super easily. Not sure how the midrange-vs-midrange sidematch goes, but I've felt like my combo is difficult for them to interact with, as Storm's in-built protection tends to do work.
Creativity: Another matchup I've not met, but we can't stop creativity too easily, and our pressure, while decent, isn't always going to stack up. I especially don't like the idea of the Atraxa versions.
Summary & Final Considerations
Possibility Storm Combo, when reframed as a deck built around powerful adventure cards, with Storm as one of many payoffs, is a deck worth consideration in pioneer. We are able to generate one of the best fair plans of any combo decks in the format, and play on an axis in which many decks do not interact with.
The deck has further potential, too: Wilds of Eldraine may well bring back Adventures, as they were a popular and world-defining mechanic, in which case only a few powerful ones could further improve the card quality of the deck. Additionally, if you are interested in getting into pioneer, this deck is relatively cheap at $178 USD, and a few of the expensive cards can easily be switched out for other cards at small cost to powerlevel. It also provides a starting point for decks like RG Vehicles. Please feel free to ask me any questions about the deck and it's positioning in Pioneer. I'm not a Pioneer expert, but I think I can help shed some light. Additionally, if any of you played Possibility Storm in the past (or present) I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

Biden allegedly sabotaged Zaporizhia nuclear power plant to melt down, to stop the Russian invasion and justify NATO peacekeepers.
Here was Biden's plan to avoid another Kabul:
- NATO operators sabotaged the ZNPP backup diesel generator fuel storage, causing it to leak.
- NATO targeted diesel fuel shipments. See captured Ukro saboteurs with NLAWs.
- When diesel reaches zero, Ukros can shell the lone power line, breaking it for the 8th time.
- Overheating and radiation release ensues. Territory Russia captured is ruined.
- Under cover of major exercises scheduled this month, NATO establishes "no-fly zone" and sends "peacekeepers".
Hopefully Russia has succeeded in resupplying ZNPP's diesel fuel, but the situation at ZNPP remains critical.
In the latest development, Kiev allegedly tested a nuke in a borehole, and Russia retaliated by striking the Ukro military intelligence headquarters, dispelling the illusion of Patriot missile air defense. Russia's willingness to escalate to decapitation of leadership may be why Zelensky is spending time abroad. NATO is allegedly expanding the war into Moldova to invoke Article 5.
Russo-China rejects Biden
"Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to fuck things up." – Barack Obama
Clearly we underestimated him. Americans can hardly believe that Biden blew up Nord Stream 2, essentially attacking our vassal/ally Germany. Perhaps they're still reeling from Kabul falling faster than Hanoi.
Normally Russia endeavors to cooperate with the sitting US president. However, Russian state media has begun airing the Hunter Biden laptop images, of Hunter engaged in drugs and pedophilia with preteen girls. This is retaliation for Biden crossing Russia's red line by repeatedly trying to sabotage Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). That's why Russia is willing to assist in the impeachment of a sitting US president, which is obviously an extreme step to take between two countries with enough nukes to blot out the Sun.
Rumor has it that China has also turned on Biden, which would make sense: China's economic backing allows Russia to survive US sanctions. China wants Taiwan, and Russia wants East Ukraine. They would be stupid not to cooperate.

ZNPP as potential Chernobyl
A Redditor explains:
Kawaii-Gopnik Russia really needs that powerplant without any leak, to provide industry of surrounding regions with energy, but very few people understand contexts of the current situation: Soviets built complicated and very well ballanced energy system, including not only NPP, but also cascade of hydro power plants. Donetsk, Dnepr, Zaporozhe and Kharkov regions are just one big power hungry plant. NPP itself is reliant on hydropower and quality of water in Dnepr river. In case of really bad "accident" Russia will forget about development of the newly accuired regions, lack of energy produced by NPP is significant, nearly 30-40%. Accident will affect south of Ukraine with russian majority. It will also be also disaster for ecology of the WHOLE Black Sea. Rose of winds will spread nuclear dust to the West - Poland, Romania, Czechia and further. Nuclear zone will stop russian army from further territorial expansion. This will be border formed by Dnepr and nuclear zones.
The basic facts are documented by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Even while shut down, ZNPP needs external power grid or diesel to prevent its reactors from overheating.
Russia controls ZNPP. A nuclear "accident" would give NATO pretext to intervene, so Ukraine keeps trying to cause one.
How bad is this? Well, Chernobyl is in Ukraine. That was a 1k MW reactor. ZNPP has six. It is the 9th largest NPP in the world.
Most experts think the severity would be less than Chernobyl, although anonymous ZNPP workers familiar with the damage disagreed:
- Ukraine nuclear plant: How risky is stand-off over Zaporizhzhia? BBC
- Why do nuclear power plants need electricity to stay safe? Pop Sci
- Map shows how Europe could be affected if Ukraine’s nuclear plant explodes Metro
- Ukraine war: Workers at deteriorating Zaporizhzhia plant fear 'devastation' on a scale 'worse than Chernobyl' Sky News
Hopefully the containment response would be much better than Chernobyl's, but that's hardly something to count on during WW3. Russia's nuclear doctrine includes pre-emptive strikes when the state is threatened or as a response to nuclear attacks; this situation qualifies as both to the Kremlin. Remember that the USSR nearly launched twice during the Cold War.
Imagine if China assisted Texas in seceding from the USA to rejoin Mexico, and then caused a reactor meltdown at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant when the USA retook it. A lot of Southerners would want to lob a few nukes back at China. They might demand it.
It is foolish to assume WW3 will not happen because it hasn't happened yet. One should look instead at the historical record of continual warfare, and the difficulties in preventing WW3 so far:
- List of nuclear close calls Wikipedia
- WW3: Historical close calls Wikipedia
Ukraine doesn't need a huge meltdown like Chernobyl. It merely seeks a pretext to justify direct NATO intervention to "protect" ZNPP. A small leak will suffice.
Even if there is a major radiation leak, it will occur in Russian-annexed separatist territory, and help Ukraine defend her new border. Scorched earth is a valid tactic, whether the fire is conventional or nuclear. Ukraine survived Chernobyl and knows it can survive ZNPP too.
Biden's Ukraine is desperate enough for scorched-earth tactics
Battle of the Bulge at Bakhmut
"We have been working on the counter-offensive with Ukraine for 4-5 months." – Victoria Nuland
Why is Ukraine so desperate?
Ukraine depends on NATO aid to fight Russia. NATO aid depends on Democrat willingness. Democrat willingness depends on US public support. Therefore the illusion must be maintained to the American public that Ukraine is winning. For this reason, Ukraine has committed its reserves to a costly failed counter-offensive. Bakhmut fell regardless.
James A. Donald summarizes the strategic picture:
So, bright new plan. "The Greatest Ukrainian Offensive". The Ukraine would build up a big reserve of fresh troops, then suddenly hurl large chunks of them at particular points on the front. They would, the Americans planned, cut through a point in the front lines, penetrate to Russian rear areas, wreak havoc on those areas, and force Russian troops in danger of being encircled to hastily retreat from territory that had been slowly gained at enormous cost in grinding attritive warfare. I do not know how big the Ukrainian strategic reserve was, but if it was two hundred fifty thousand, they have now committed most of them to grinding attritive warfare, and cupboard is looking as bare of men as it is of artillery and rockets.
The USA expected to break Russia economically; China's economic support prevented that. Despite PMC Wagner's heartfelt complaints, Russia is unlikely to run out of convicts anytime soon. Russia is rotating divisions through Ukraine, seasoning reservists for a looming WW3. Russia's historical appetite for losses is much higher than its current losses. This is essentially a civil war, and the Russia bear considers being carved up an existential threat. By underestimating Russia's resolve, NATO is repeating the error of Napoleon and Hitler.
Despite having plenty of weapons, Ukraine's military manpower is exhausted and demoralized. Raw conscripts are thrown at the front lines with minimal training. Medvedev predicts that the Ukraine will cease to exist; half its people have already fled.
Anonymous Sat 27 May 2023 04:59:49 No.428438077 Report 428437208 Yeah, the killing has been excessive since they pretty much destroyed 95% of Azov fags and assorted true believers in the first 200k dead, now they overshot it by 100%. About 12% of the non-Russian speaking population's prime military aged men in Ukraine are dead or crippled. 12-20% of the same demographic has fled the country. It's over, desu. They are seeing much more of the polish and romanian mercs now, since they literally lack the manpower.
Western mass media wrongly assumes that Russia is losing because it does not take the entirety of Ukraine in a blitz, as the USA did to Iraq. However, Russia does not want West Ukraine; the people there do not like Russians. Russia has captured the territory it wants, and is now using the rest of Ukraine as a kettle or cauldron, in which to conveniently destroy whatever NATO wishes to send. This is a good way for Russia to gradually learn how to fight NATO armies in a low-risk environment.
The Spartans had a rule never to war too often against the same enemy, lest they train up a nemesis. It was foolish of NATO to believe that Russia had forgotten the lessons of attrition warfare that it learned so recently in Afghanistan.
Nehming Names 9h Russia's prudent caution in directly engaging the West is bringing dividends in perhaps unexpected ways. Russia is gaining strategic knowledge of the actual capabilities and weaknesses of our weapon systems and military tactics, with our supply of munitions draining to militarily unsustainable levels, as it engages allied forces in Ukraine. Russia is aware of the continuing progress of the Great Awakening in the West, that is, the knowledge that Western governments, military, and institutions are run by an elite hostile to their heritage populations, and therefore expects to see declining support of Western governments by their citizens. Russia can also see the precipitous decrease in every societal metric in the West: social cohesiveness, general morality, public health, financial stability, military readiness, etc. With these three degradative processes in play, the most strategic thing Russia and China can do is to bide their time, as time itself will act to sap the strength of the West to militarily engage their foes.
Fresh meat
Russian conquest of Kiev would air Biden's dirty laundry to the world, from Burisma kickbacks to pedophilic field trips and worse. This would result in US "regime change". A distant mini-Chernobyl is a small price to pay, for top Democrats to avoid the hangman's noose.
Poland is itching to invade. Victoria Nuland is scheduling NATO air exercises. USAF propaganda asserts that Russia's air force is a joke. The question is, do Americans still believe Biden's false prophets of victory?
If not, they just need a little "encouragement": 9/11, Gulf of Tonkin, Pearl Harbor, Lusitania, Remember the Maine… Keep those rural Whites busy lest they make trouble at home!
Most Americans cannot find Ukraine on a map. (To be fair, it hasn't been on the map very long.) However, the architects of Biden's Ukraine policy, such as Victoria Nuland, Jake Sullivan, Antony Blinken and George Soros, tend to have grandparents of Eastern European origin. I am sure for them it feels important. There's no place like home.
A Redditor explains:
tinglevibestoo I listened to a former CIA agent talk about Ukraine the other day. He said that Ukraine is running out of time. It's not that they don't have the weapons. We've sent them a ton of weapons. It's that they don't have enough troops and they're running low on troops. That's how Russia will win. Ukraine can't sustain the manpower. It totally makes sense to use a nuclear false flag as a reason to bring in the extra manpower. Everyone would deem it justified too because it's a threat to the neighboring nations and it'd be an environmental (climate change) catastrophe.
Teixeira leaks
Some will bring up the US intelligence leaks by Jack Teixeira to support the idea that Russia rather than Ukraine is desperate. Unlike Snowden, Teixeiera was obviously a major security risk for patriotically-motivated leaking, with numerous red flags in his previous and ongoing behavior. Therefore Teixeira was probably a deliberate leak by US intelligence, using a patsy to generate the initial leak and then add whatever extra info they wanted released in the resulting confusion.
- Jack Teixeira Wikipedia
- Discord member details how documents leaked from closed chat group Washington Post
Teixeira's leaks served several purposes for the Biden administration:
- Allowed the mainstream media to walk back their false forecasts of Ukrainian victory.
- Provided a right-wing scapegoat for Ukraine's defeat.
- Justified increased social media monitoring and censorship.
Most importantly, it mitigated the potential political fallout from another catastrophe like Kabul, should Kiev fall.
The 4chan leaker BB/Inb4source asserts Teixeira was a patsy.
BRICS vs NATO
The foundation of the US empire is the petrodollar, which allows the USA to tax the world via digital debt seignorage. This is why the creation of BRICS as an independent financial and trading system rendered war between NATO and BRICS inevitable, as Kim Dotcom predicted. The US republic is a thalassocratic empire as arrogant as democratic Athens, and it is addicted to financial plunder. The Empire cannot afford to lose the USD's reserve currency status.
Reserve currencies and empires both have lifespans, and the USA has reached the end of both. It is at the stage where hubristic foreign misadventures prove fatal, and Ukraine and Taiwan will prove too much for the American eagle to handle. This is no longer WW2; the USA cannot win a two-front war against BRICS.

ZNPP's weak point is diesel fuel
The situation at ZNPP is tenuous and grim, workers report:
Europe’s largest nuclear power station is on the frontline of the Ukraine war. SkyNews Twitter
The fact that the backup diesel reactors have not been maintained is particularly concerning, considering they have already been used 7 times.
UN nuclear chief raises alarm over Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia plant Al Jazeera
Ukraine keeps trying to force a crisis at ZNPP to justify NATO intervention. In other words, Ukraine keeps shelling ZNPP to cut the one power line that still connects it to the grid.
Atlas This is extremely dangerous, external power is required for reliable cooling of the reactors and pools containing spent nuclear waste. Western media spent months last year pretending Kiev wasn’t shelling ZNPP.
Notice that the Russian side keeps ZNPP connected to the power grid, while the Ukrainian side pretends it cannot until the Russian invasion ends:

- Russian nuclear terrorism in action: ZNPP switches to emergency generators for the 7th time Ukrainian World Congress
- Kiev blocked all IAEA’s initiatives on ZNPP security — Russian Foreign Ministry
- Grossi says Zaporizhzhia principles 'step in right direction' IAEA
As you can see, Ukraine is not interested in being reasonable. Russia is happy to leave the NPP free of heavy military equipment, but Ukraine demands the removal of all troops and landmines from ZNPP as well. That would leave the plant undefended, which is obviously unacceptable.
(This is how perverse incentives work. A little ally with nothing to lose can start a world war. It's almost like dividing the world into two hostile nuclear alliances is a bad idea.)
When ZNPP loses external power, huge diesel generators automatically switch on to keep the reactors cool. How much diesel does this consume? Truckloads per day:
Anonymous Sat 27 May 2023 05:18:50 No.428439721 Report Quoted By: >>428463646 428436425 Still easy to transport diesel enough to keep them going In what? If NATO ops and Mercs are sabotaging trucks coming in, what do you think they are gonna carry diesel in to the plant? Is Russia gonna pack in rotopack Jerry cans on their back. Fill a truck up with 5 gallon cans and hope they make it past the snipers and sabotage? Do you have any clue how much fuel those big generators suck down in a day? Those generators to run the plants during shut down or failures are huge 500kw or bigger they are the size of whole 18 wheeler trailers. Those things will drink 50 gallons an hour. You gonna haul in 2.5 gallon rotopacks one at a time to keep it going?
Nuclear power plants have tough shielding. Allegedly the diesel generators are hidden underground. However, the diesel fuel supply is still vulnerable.
Normally the diesel generators have enough fuel for 10 days. However, ZNPP's diesel stockpile recently dipped to 4 days, according to 4chan leaker Inb4source.
Ukrainian saboteurs caught by ZNPP
On May 27, Ukraine accused Russian of planning to cause a leak at ZNPP:
OSINTdefender The Main Directorate of Intelligence for Ukraine has announced that the Russian Military is preparing for Large-Scale Provocation in the coming hours at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Southern Ukraine that will reportedly Simulate an “Accident” at the Plant causing the Emergency Leak of Radioactive Substances which will be Blamed on Ukrainian Forces.
Then Russia announced it had caught saboteurs (presumably Ukrainian) in ZNPP's city:
Saboteurs who were preparing terrorist attacks on the NPP were detained in Energodar. They had with them maps and schematics of the nuclear power plant with marks for strikes that could lead to a nuclear catastrophe. The suspects are involved in collecting and transmitting information about the facilities of the Zaporozhye NPP on the instructions of the Ukrainian authorities. To communicate with the curators, they used foreign satellite systems, as well as foreign weapons for strikes and equipment for conducting reconnaissance and sabotage activities.
- Translated source message is from Telegram group Slavyangrad Chat.
- Original source message is in Russian from Telegram group WarDonbass, sent May 28 at 23:12.
Enerhodar is the city that contains the ZNPP: See Enerhodar Wikipedia
Some object that the footage is "staged". Of course it is staged. The primary consumer of the helmet-cam footage is Russian military intelligence. The evidence shot was staged for their benefit. The short edited video that was released to the public has distorted voices, and avoids showing any faces. Thus even if the footage is authentic, it is still "staged".
The ZNPP maps displayed in the video don't appear to match the announcement text. The maps could simply show where diesel fuel trucks need to go. Russia does not wish to advertise the specific nature of ZNPP's vulnerability.
The saboteurs appear to be 3-man team, equipped with 3 rifles and 3 NLAW missile launchers.
The saboteurs had 5 frag grenades. Normally soldiers carry 2 or 3 grenades, but heavy weapons soldiers don't have to. The three smooth grenades are RGD-5s, a cheap outdated Russian model. The Russian troops removed the fuses from the grenades on the evidence table to avoid unpleasant surprises.
Some object that Ukrainian saboteurs wouldn't be so careless as to have printouts of the reactor map. However, the saboteurs' presence in Enerhodar already makes their target obvious. Presumably multiple teams were sent to intercept Russian diesel shipments.
The Enerhodar saboteurs would've been notified when satellites spotted their target. Until then, they should hide in the safehouse behind blackout curtains to avoid detection. The fact that these saboteurs were caught napping suggests a degree of incompetence, compared to other teams who presumably either avoided detection or fought back. One can assume that Ukrainian specops have suffered extreme casualties.
BB / Red Skull / Inb4source / Q
BB sent Q
Qanon has lost a tremendous amount of popularity, as patriots grew disillusioned with the slow pace of the promised Great Awakening. They did not understand that Q is subordinate to a higher power with an agenda that does not necessarily include their survival.
Q aimed to help Trump save the USA. Q was sent by "Burning Bush", whose agenda is
judging humanity, on the eve of WW3 and runaway de-terraforming. BB's personas started posting to 4chan's
pol by 2016, whereas Q started in October 2017. (4chan is like the wild west of the Web: The world's spooks congregate there to exchange intelligence.)
BB goes by several nicknames; he began posting anonymously as "Inb4source" in 2016. A recent message implies the USA/Israel is Babylon the Great, and God (meaning him) has returned to judge her:
The world has turned it's back on *od now *od Is turning His back on the world. He Who Lets has been REMOVED. THE ANGEL OF DEATH HAS COME THE HARVEST OF THE TARES HAS BEGUN. And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. (Earthquake Lights) And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. (nothing ever happens) Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her. And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, inb4source
BB claims responsibility for the historical pendulum swinging rightward, via figures such as Elon Musk. His method of influence is the butterfly effect.
"Burning Bush" claims to be God. One can think of him as the God of the Old Testament, or as a pagan god like Zeus, or as merely a transcendent extraterrestrial. However, he also claims to inhabit a human-looking body, lives on a ranch in the USA, has children, caught COVID19, etc.
Whatever one's theology, the relevant portion of BB's message is that the USA did not sufficiently embrace the opportunity offered by Q. Anyone who has read the Old Testament knows what happens next: Ignore the prophet, reap the consequences. Thus Q's slogan "Nothing Can Stop What Is Coming" should be understood in the Biblical sense, like Noah's flood: The Ark is optional.
(As far as I know, Q is still posting to Truth Social. I don't follow that site.)
Paul Furber is the chief priest of BB. Before that, he was a major early proponent of Q. See Furber's book for many verifiable examples of fulfilled predictions and proven scoops.
BB normally identifies himself by the unique image hash of his burning bush picture. (Nobody can generate that hash unless they possess the original image.) However, BB also posts as an anon users nickname "Red Skull", for his signature images of red skulls. As Red Skull, BB avoids the extravagant Biblical claims of BB, but the style and modus operandi and interests are obviously the same – as are his implied godlike powers.
I recommend focusing on facts and trying to prevent nuclear WW3, rather than getting hung up on theology. BB is not asking anyone to worship him or sacrifice chickens. He does prescribe prayer and a life of action governed by virtue.
I certainly do not recommend taking everything anonymous spooks say at face value. If you are, like most people, unable to think in shades of gray between binary true and false, this essay is above your reading level.
BB warns Zaporizhia is pivotal
BB has repeatedly warned that keeping Zaporizhia intact is critical to the survival of NATO citizenry:
the Ukrainians attacking the Nuclear Power station in the hands of the Russians spewing radiation over enough territory that the Russians will turn Kiev into a furnace.
– BB 2022-9-24
Find other warnings by searching for keyword "nuclear".
Those who find it difficult to believe that nuclear weapons would be used in WW3 as in WW2 should note that COVID19 is already a bioweapon WMD deployed for WW3.
RS gives ZNPP sabotage warning
On the morning of May 27, BB's persona Red Skull leaked that NATO specops had sabotaged external power to ZNPP.
His scenario is plausible and severe enough to warrant investigation.
Here are relevant posts, datestamped 2023 May 27 0300-0500:
it's a little less than ten days… Until Nato SpecOps melt down the Uke Nuke plant and blames it on you.
He continues:
Nato SpecOps have sabotaged power to the nuke plant. As of this posting, 6 days of diesel fuel remain to provide power to pumps to cool the plant and spent fuel pool. Diesel shipments are being targeted and terminated.
He adds:
So now I need to tell you Russia intends a pre emptive strike if nuclear capable F16's are delivered.
On the evening of May 27, Red Skull updated:
Doesn't look good at Nuke Plant. Russia has 4 days to get more fuel to the generators. They are working on clearing a flight path. Ukraine will try to stop them on orders of U.S. Uniparty.
Sounds like a severe leak, to lose 2 days of fuel in under 24 hours.
Ukraine HVT: Nuclear tit for tat
On 28 May Red Skull asserted that:
- Ukraine just did an underground nuclear bomb test in a borehole, to contain the radiation.
- Russia may retaliate with a pre-emptive strike at any time, against 1-2 high-value targets.
- West Ukraine may be reduced to the stone-age.
Red Skull approved of this anon's summary:
Nuclear warheads that USA/UK sent. Specifically for the purpose of being exploded in Ukraine. The false flags will never stop until all out WW3 is declared, or until you root out the pedophile demon cult that is running the show and sending you monkeys to war. War for really no good reason at this point. The cities are destroyed, just withdraw. Ukraine is a kettle right now, a kill box. Do you understand what that means? And it was created on purpose.
On May 30, Putin announced that Russia had destroyed the Ukrainian military intelligence headquarters. Photos confirm the damage.

Intelligence chief Kyrylo Oleksiyovych Budanov may have died in the strike.
Inb4source / Red Skull 4chan posting history
Inb4source has posted on 4chan since 2016, but he doesn't always use an image hash identifier, making it impossible to verify the identity of all of his early posts. As his popularity grew, others began adopting his catchphrase ">inb4source".
18016 posts on
pol contain ">inb4source".
The first page of results suggests Inb4source is a pro-Trump military intelligence officer. He began posting in Aug 2016, before Trump's inauguration.
Another early Inb4source catchphrase is "I AM The Source." This has a double meaning, both theological and journalistic.
The catchphrase doesn't appear in every Inb4source post. Searching for it yields 437 results, too many of which are irrelevant results.
Searching for both phrases together yields 50 results that look to be mostly legitimate. One could then search for additional posts by each unique ID from a session.
Searching for image hashes is a reliable method of ID verification, assuming no one else has the image. I know of two such images that Inb4source/BB uses: both are red skulls, giving him the nickname RS.
RS just announced that his devices (phone, computers) have been compromised, casting doubt on the legitimacy of future RS posts. This may be a response to my publication of his warnings regarding Zaporizhia onto Reddit and Gab; the timing is suspicious. I first mentioned Inb4source on Reddit 7 days ago, and Red Skull on Gab yesterday (as of morning June 3). I do not know of any other analysts writing about him or connecting him to his BB persona.
When evaluating his warnings and predictions, remember that publishing info about ongoing events can affect the outcome, and is often intended to do so. Unlike the concept of Biblical prophecy, the future is mostly probabilistic. However, he is certainly good at scooping the news.
Someone else can do an in-depth Q-proof style analysis of his accuracy; my focus here is Zaporizhia.

2023.06.04 01:57 roamingraul91 Mexico vs USA Long Term Living
I am going to set some background info and then ask the question
I have been around since end of 2021 , traveled a lot and honestly (while US American ) I struggle with the lack of community /social interaction in the US.
I work remotely making USD and my girlfriend does as well . We both enjoy life in Mexico City due to being safe (in the bubble neighborhoods) , the amount of things to do , social circle/community .
The problem is that I more than my girlfriend want to settle down roots and view that through property . Buying in Mexico is more difficult as you need a large cash amount and for what we want , it would be a good 60-80 %of our cash reserve (other investments not included ) . The other downside to Mexico is that things just require so much more patience (something I lack but she is great at accepting ) , things are just way more efficient and day to day things are easier in the US.
While I felt with all this still ready for Mexico to be the place , this all changed this past week. My girlfriend (didn’t have insurance ) had a serious health emergency and the following things have really put me off about Mexico - doctors /nurses don’t seem as advanced (Archaic practices) quality of care is lower - while I speed Spanish dealing with a medical emergency in another language is a nightmare - the constant feeling of being ripped off (Less than the US without insurance ) but still expensive - bureaucracy is worse in my opinion
I know the US is expensive but we would just save less in the US but still be fine in the states we would choose . It just comes down to the ease of live /healthcare (quality -as this might be a repeat situation for her -hopefully not)
Vs
Social circle/ community , more fun life and more savings
Long story short where would you choose if you were us

2023.06.04 00:59 greasy_coil7 Bitcoin Vs USD vs Yuan vs Gold
As I delve deeper into my journey of understanding cryptocurrency from my humble office desk, it seems like the Biden administration keeps dropping hints about potentially barring US investors from putting their money in certain sectors within China. They're forecasting more of these kinds of foreign investment restrictions to keep capital in our own country - where, unfortunately, it's left at the mercy of steadily rising inflation due to, what many perceive as, reckless money printing.
As I navigate through the financial reports while managing my boss's schedule, it's increasingly clear that the future focus is going to be on gold and crypto. What stands out about these two is that they aren't bound to any specific country. They're not at risk of being watered down by a desperate central bank trying to keep its financial system afloat with hastily printed money.
Interestingly, as countries begin to prioritize their own needs over catering to the Western financial system, it seems like central banks, particularly those in the Southern Hemisphere, are diversifying their savings strategies for international trade income. Increasing their gold reserves appears to be a first choice - a move that's already happening. And as I delve deeper into Bitcoin, I can't help but notice its growing reputation as the most solid form of money ever created. It makes me wonder if more countries will start seeing it as a reliable option for savings, just like gold.
Something to keep in mind, though, is not to fall for the narrative often presented by financial media. They may paint this as a binary choice between the dollar and the yuan. They might try to convince you that due to certain "shortcomings" in the Chinese economy, no other currency stands a chance to topple the mighty dollar. But from what I've learned so far, this feels like a diversion. In the coming years, it seems like the world will trade in a variety of currencies, saving as necessary in gold and perhaps, in the not-so-distant future, Bitcoin too.

2023.06.03 23:12 IDE_IS_LIFE Anybody else disappointed by the price of the upcoming Quest 3?
Might not bother me too much if the price of $499 applied to my country (Canada), but it doesn't. Due to our dollar difference, that means quest 3 will be $670 plus tax. In my region, tax is 15% which means without accessories, buying a quest 3 would cost approximately $771. That's pretty brutal :( Times like this I really hate having such a weak dollar vs Americans. If I wanted to save money for one for launch without selling my Quest 2 (because I'd like to give it to my partner so we can both play VR together) it'll probably be $200 per month to make sure I've got enough set aside for around October.
Ah well, it's not unfair or unjust or anything and I'm not enraged about this or something, just a kick in the pants to again see buzz about an affordable piece of tech that's just plain less affordable to me because of where I live and the purchasing power that comes with that.
Anyone else feel similarly? Or maybe you feel differently? It'd be cool to see discussion surrounding the price point.
EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: I'm not just referring to our conversion rate, I neglected to touch on the fact that our purchasing power in Canada is weaker than the US. In my field of work for example, the average salary for my type of job is nearly identical just across the border from me, but while I may earn a paycheck with a similar dollar figure as someone across the border from me, their goods don't end up being priced as high to offset the dollar difference in our currencies. A company selling a product to the US isn't going to want to earn LESS profit by selling something (like Quest 3 at the same dollar value in Canada as the US because a $499 USD purchase and a $499 CAD purchase isn't the same to them. So, if they want to make the same profit from a Canadian as they would an American after the Canadian purchase is converted to USD for their coffers, they have to raise the price to $670 CAD so that after conversion the currency they received in the transaction is worth the same as what the Americans paid for the same item. BUT we don't earn proportionally more money to offset our weaker dollar value, so it effectively means we just have less buying power. This is understandable and fine and just the reality, and I know this. I was simply expressing disappointment that the Quest 3s "affordable price" was set with Americans in mind I think which means that just due to how our economies work, it's just not as affordable to us in the same way.)
EDIT 2: I'm also not just pointing out that its more expensive, it's that technology has a history of becoming "cheaper, lighter, and faster" over time as progress is made in realms of manufacturing and research and development. On top of that, Quest 1 was more expensive than the Quest 2, and the Quest 2 is a superior device in a technical capacity. It did more and costed less and that was a mere year after Q1. It feels like a step backwards to have Q3 coming out 3 years after Q2 and going in reverse on the price. If Q2 came out cheaper than its predecessor while being a big leap forward in power then I hope to god that a Q3 that costs MORE than its predecessor is going to be a quantum leap forward otherwise its just worse value I guess. That's kind of compounded especially if we still need end up needing to buy a bunch of accessories to make it a worthwhile device (a headstrap that doesn't suck, a battery to make it usable for a reasonable period of time, a facial interface that doesn't either hurt your face or limit your FOV or cause rashes. The price difference would be worth it if this is all solved because then its just offsetting the prices you'd pay for rectify the shortcomings of the cheaper offering.)

2023.06.03 19:57 alienpsp RG421HPFM vs RGA42HPQM, or should i just stick to RG421PB
Been eyeing for a new guitar and is torn between the RG421HPFM and the RGA42HPQM, on paper, both rock the same F106 bridge, same wizard III roasted maple, same 3 way pickup selector with coil tap, and the difference is the body shape and size (thinner on the RGA), the pickup (dimarzio Tone Zone + Air Norton vs Fusion Edge ) and the finishing ( which is lit ), the RGA is about 825 usd and RG is about 677 usd ( converted for reference, I'm from SE Asia )
But what caught me is that there is another RG421PB that's selling about 390 usd that also have the same F106 and wizard III 1 piece maple ( non roasted ) and carry the Ibanez Quantum ( is this the same one with the Q )
My question is if I should grab the HP RG/RGA or should I just go with the non-HP RG and upgrade the pickup down the road ( the TZ and AN are selling around 150 usd including installation )

2023.06.03 17:48 jakecipa $1400 USD Gaming/Work Computer
What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.
Mainly used for gaming and design related work. I use Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator for my marketing work. I also like to play a variety of multiplayer and singleplayer games such as Fortnite, Hogwarts Legacy, Call of Duty, Modded Minecraft.
I plan to get a 1440p 144hz monitor soon and would like the PC to be able to support that. I don't have much preference over Nvidia vs AMD so I will likely buy either a Freesync or G-Sync monitor based on the computer I build.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?
My maximum budget is $1400 USD.
When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
ASAP. Will go to Microcenter this week to see what they have.
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc\)
Just the tower.
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
Michigan, US. Yes I have access to Microcenter.
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
Not reusing any parts.
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
No I am not interested in overclocking.
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
I'd like a wifi card to be included. I'll likely have access to ethernet most of the time but would like to be able to use wifi if I need to move around.
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
I'd like to use the Corsair 4000D Airflow Tempered Glass ATX Mid Tower case. I'd also like white fans with LEDs that I can pick the color of. Other than that, I just prefer white over black but have no other preferences.
Do you need a copy of Windows included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference?
No. I can get that myself.

2023.06.03 14:34 Kliskey 2 Qs - Travelling from UK to USA and Paypal?
EDIT: I have a Jade Green card.
Hi guys,
I'm travelling to the USA for a period of extended travel - Its the first time I have had the opportunity to use my CDC card abroad anywhere.
Do I need to load it with USD in order to use it or will it convert the currently loaded GBP automatically on purchase? If the latter, will the exchange rate be fair or worse than elsewhere? Will the exchange rate be the same as if I had converted before paying vs CDC converting in the moment etc?
As above and in addition, if I would like to take out cash will I face any issues?
Secondly, I am bringing some items with me that I have sold to a friend in the US, they would like to transfer via PayPal (which I am fine with) - Are there any straight forward methods to transfer from PayPal to CDC? Or will it be the case that I'll have to do a bank transfer from PayPal and then another transfer to CDC?
If that is the case, slightly frustrating as I will have to convert from USD > GBP and then GBP > USD again lol
I can see that US people can transfer from PayPal direct, but I can't find the same facility for UK residents, unless I am missing something?
Thanks for your help :)

2023.06.03 12:10 Napalm-1 Upcoming significant upward pressure on uranium spotprice: Producers spotbuying + Uncovered reactors because in last minute decided to extend operational license + New physical uranium fund Zuri-Invest (spotbuying starting next week?) - General market switching back in "risk on" mode in future
| Hi everyone, Debt ceiling saga, Is FED going to increase rates further?, War in Ukraine, AI, ... In the meantime in the tiny uranium spotmarket utilities, financial players and producers are outbidding each other. Source: posted by Cycle Bottom on twitter A) Yes, you read that right! Today many uranium producers are spotbuyers too, because: - spot price is lower then AISC + small margin when producing their own uranium
- Some producers having a lower uranium production then their uranium supply commitments towards their clients, so those producers have to buy uranium in the spotmarket too.
B) There is information about one RFP for uranium delivery in short term (spot) for 1 reactor that is significantly impacting the uranium price at the moment. https://preview.redd.it/zp4awmgi0s3b1.png?width=735&format=png&auto=webp&s=aa2f94d7bdbe1f8b59ba6cc25c4fdb9ae03805ea But there are other western reactors in a similar situation... Here some more details: https://twitter.com/Napalm_1_/status/1664302723167141889?cxt=HHwWgoC-0cig5ZguAAAA C) Also more and more financial funds are created to buy physical uranium in the spotmarket, because investors start to notice that there is a global growing supply deficit at today's uranium prices. Zuri-Invest will start buying uranium in the spotmarket, probably starting next week. Zuri-Invest on their own will have at least 100M USD which represents approximately one month of uranium spot supply. But Zuri-Invest is not the only one buying uranium in the tiny spotmarket, by consequence those 100M USD together with the uranium spotbuying from others will largely exceed on month of spotsupply, creating a significant upward pressure on the uranium spotprice. Source: John Quakes on twitter D) Why did the uranium price remain stable? Like you all know, the uranium companies made a first bull run in 2021-2022, but got depressed by the negativity in the stockmarket in general (Market went from "risk on" to "risk off" mode), while the uranium spotprice actually remained quite stable. The uranium price remained quite stable, because the sector fundamentals are very bullish, even producers buy uranium in the tiny uranium spotmarket at these low uranium prices. Based on the global production cost curve analysis vs the global annual uranium demand, we know that high production cost producers/projects (need a sell price of 80 - 90 USD/lb to make an acceptable profit) are needed to get the global uranium supply and demand back in equilibrium. An uranium price of 60 USD/lb isn't high enough to get the needed higher production cost producers to produce uranium again! Tomorrow, in a month, 3 months? We'll see. It's not IF, but WHEN. Do you remember what happened when the FED stopped increasing rates in 2006? This isn't financial advice.
